The big DAMNATION clash ended without a winner. Daisuke Sasaki worked on Tetsuya Endo’s injured ankle, weakening Endo’s aerial moves when he tried to use them later in the match. The match featured an unexpected surprise halfway through when Mad Paulie, not MJ Paul, came down to the ring while both wrestlers were down on their backs. A referee bump led to Paulie attacking Endo at first. But when Sasaki brought in a chair, Paulie stopped him from using it. Endo then gave Sasaki a Low Blow from behind. Paulie remained a neutral party from that point and the match continued. Endo gave Sasaki som Exploder Suplexes and the Swivel Torture Rack Bomb but Sasaki kept kicking out of the pins, even getting a 1 count. Endo’s ankle damage prevented him from hitting the Burning Star Press and Sasaki was able to get him into the Crossface Lock. Endo bit his hand to free himself and the two were left scrambling for the win until the time expired. After the match Endo said it’s been exactly two years since his Ota Ward Gymnasium match with Sasaki and “Charisma” is the same as he was back then. Sasaki didn’t have much to say other then ask Paulie how did he get back here from Planet Pauline? Endo said even though today ended in a draw, he is still going to win the D-Ou Grand Prix and collect all of DDT’s championships. He also wants any prize money he wins to be transferred to him as soon as possible. When he left the ring, Sasaki called BURNING a bunch of crap and Endo should be in DAMNATION T.A alongside him instead.

The DDT Universal Champion beats the DDT Extreme Champion! It was a match that left Yuki Ueno with a bloody nose from Joey Janela’s big attacks. Janela’s attempt to take things to the extreme included using an Avalanche Falcon Arrow along with trying to land moves onto the ring apron. Ueno fought back by dropping Janela onto the apron with a Facebuster. The Dropkick was the big difference maker as happens often with Ueno’s matches recently. That move left Janela in position to take the BME for Ueno to take the win. Ueno repeated his goal is to carry DDT on his back and winning the Grand Prix will help make that happen. He said Janela can pull out a lot of power at a moment’s notice and he couldn’t tell what he was thinking. Since Janela did not bring in any weapons, Ueno wonders if he was trying to prove he can win without going death match or hardcore? Janela is mad over losing his first match in DDT. He wants to go back to GCW with the D-Ou trophy as the “King Of Extreme” but now has to rethink his strategy.

Yukio Naya gets his first win of the tournament by beating MAO. The two fought out of the ring and spent a brief amount of time causing trouble in the lobby before coming back. MAO tried going for flash pins and almost won with a Hurricanrana. Naya stopped his momentum with a Knee Lift and got the win with a Back Drop. Naya is glad to win this match because MAO is an unpredictable opponent. His next opponent is Chris Brookes, a wrestler who specialises in Cradles and Roll Ups. Naya knows he needs to have a proper countermeasure ready to go against that. MAO figured that Naya studied him hard before today’s match and gives him credit for being so prepared. He got to see the Real Japan of Yukio Naya.

The B Block is currently led by Yuji Hino after today’s win over KANON. Although the two wrestlers come from different promotions, they are both connected by the having the same teacher TAKA Michinoku (Hino was K-DOJO and KANON was JTO). KANON got to lock in the Cobra Twist and apply it deep enough to take Hino down to the canvas. Hino couldn’t power out of the move so had to use the rope break to free himself. Hino then unexpectedly put KANON in a Dragon Sleeper and squeezed it tight enough to get his opponent to submit. Hino told his “brother-in-law” after the match that he can never beat him this way, but his Cobra Twist is still pretty good so they should have another match.

Blindfolds and bras were the name of the game for one of the non-tournament bouts. There was a match where everyone wore bras and were blindfolded. The goal was to win either by normal means or by stripping off their one of their opponents’ bras. There were a lot of missed attacks and accidental moves hitting the wrong people. Kazuki Hirata still somehow found a way to put on his Hirata GO! glasses and dance. HARASHIMA got his hands on Antonio Honda’s bra but was thrown down to the mat. Shunma Katsumata heard the slam and climbed the ropes. He went for the Totonou Splash but overshot HARASHIMA and missed. The two were able to detect each other and kept fighting until HARASHIMA’s bra was pulled off, giving Katsumata’s team the win.

*The 37KAMIINA fails in V3. DISASTER BOX becomes the 71st KO-D Tag Team Champions!

There was one message DISASTER BOX wanted the everyone to know after the DRAMATIC SURVIVOR tournament. Never say this unit is done for ever again! The proof of DISASTER BOX’s renewed strength was shown in the main event when HARASHIMA & Naomi Yoshimura won the KO-D Tag Team Titles! The team were at full strength with Yoshimura kicking out of the MADMAX and then HARASHIMA kicking out of the Firebird Splash from Shunma Katsumata. Yoshimura set up 37KAMIINA’s downfall by giving Konosuke Takeshita a Back Drop. HARASHIMA followed up with the Somato to wipe him out of action. Yoshimura then turned his attention to Katsumata and pinned him with the Throwaway Power Bomb.

Yoshimura excitedly shouted “I won!” and passed the microphone over to HARASHIMA. He thanked everyone for supporting them and then thanked Yoshimura for a great performance. Today is proof that DISASTER BOX is still strong and now HARASHIMA is looking forward to fighting Takeshita in the D-Ou Grand Prix. Yoshimura is in a different block but he also told Takeshita to expect a KO-D Openweight Title challenge from him in the future. The rest of DISASTER BOX entered the ring and they all promised to aim for the top in DDT.

Being a babyface is a tough job. Daisuke Sasaki learned that lesson today. His opponent Isami Kodaka entered the ring wearing a Fujita Pro Wrestling School in support of Minoru Fujita as well as Fujita’s Sento Minzoku tail. Fujita was Sasaki’s original challenger for the DDT Universal Title but Fujita fell ill with Covid and currently cannot wrestle. Sasaki’s commitment to being a babyface won through though and he submitted Kodaka with the Crossover Facelock. They hugged and shook hands after the match. Sasaki even said he would like to show up in BASARA if Kodaka ever wants him to.

Sasaki continued his babyface promo until he started stuttering and losing track. He couldn’t do it anymore. He’s no babyface, he’s a crazy guy! He quits being a babyface! DAMNATION was destroyed and he will never forgive the one responsible for breaking the hearts of every DAMNATION fan. Sasaki is forming a new unit called DAMNATION T.A. (Total Addiction)! He called down Tetsuya Endo & Soma Takao to the ring but when Takao rolled in, Sasaki immediately Super Kicked him. Sasaki doesn’t want any of them because they’re the ones responsible for DAMNATION’s demise! Takao fought back but got a Low Blow from Sasaki. Then Mad Paulie, or somebody who resembles Mad Paulie came out and floored Takao with a Lariat. Sasaki introduced everyone to the new Paulie he found deep in the forests of Nerima. It’s the cruel slaughter machine MJ Paul (The MJ stands for Murder Junky)! Sasaki promised that DAMNATION T.A. will bring destruction and chaos from here on out! Backstage Takao swore revenge on the two of them.

The D-Ou Grand Prix preview match went off to an awkward start with Endo and Yuji Hino beginning the match against each other. Endo would attempt to put Hino in a Torture Rack but couldn’t pull it off. Yuki Ueno & MAO worked together in an effort to break down Kazusada Higuchi. Ueno was taken care of with a dive from Chris Brookes. Back in the ring, MAO got on Higuchi’s nerves and tried to tangle him up in pinning holds. That ended with Higuchi catching MAO with a Lariat and pinning him with the Brain Claw Slam. After the match Endo said he will win the Grand Prix and he will also beat Hino with the Torture Rack Bomb on 3rd November. Hino replied they are enemies now that DAMNATION is gone and he will beat Endo with the Fuckin’ BOMB instead. Higuchi, Brookes and Ueno also staked their claim to win the tournament. MAO too but he collapsed while he gave his speech since he was still feeling beaten up.

The Pheromones match went to another no contest. Not even Sanshiro Takagi bringing out the kettlebell that injured him made much of a difference. Toru Owashi made a brave stand to protect Takao but Phermones easily ignored him and attacked Takao anyway. Dansoku Dieno grabbed Takao’s steel basin and dropped it on Takagi’s head, sending him to the back to get aid. Dieno & Yuki Iino then set up a Double Hell Gate in the corner. Yumehito Imanari grabbed one of the TV cameras and threatened to get a close up on the Double Hell Gate when a furious Hisaya Imabayashi called off the match.

Pheromones grabbed Imabayashi and threw him into Iino’s backside. Takagi returned afterwards with Yusuke Okada by his side. They held out handcuffs and told Pheromones what they are doing on a live broadcast is a crime. Takagi has formed a team of ex-cops to beat Pheromones on 3rd November. It will be him, Okada and Shinya Aoki teaming together! A still bloody Aoki (more on that below) came out and said Pheromones are getting carried away. Dieno defended his side by explaining it is up to professionals like them to turn crime into entertainment! Pheromones will take you to a world you’ve never seen before!

Aoki ended up in a bloody state because Yumiko Hotta beat him up good. The DDT Extreme Title match between them was under normal pro wrestling rules but Hotta attacked Aoki with a chair kept throwing him into the security fence around ringside until she was disqualified. Hotta got on the microphone and said she is just doing her style of AJW pro wrestling and demanded a restart. Aoki agreed and the match was no No DQ but for Hotta only. This time Hotta attacked Aoki with a steel chain but when she went for the Pyramid Bomb, Aoki countered it into an Armlock to make her tap out. A brawl broke out after the match and the two of them had to be separated.

The KO-D 8-Man Tag Team Titles match was the first time meeting between Yoshiaki Yatsu and Jun Akiyama. Also both Team Olympian and Junretsu made claims to disband if their team lost so the match was high stakes even without the titles involved. Hiroshi Yamato did the better against Hideki Okatani by hitting him with the Cross Chop. Junretsu took control by isolating Keigo Nakamura. The tables turned when Yatsu gave Okada the Yatsugoye/Iron Knee. Junretsu regained control and hit a combination of attacks on Akito ending with Mizuki Watase in the ring with him. Akito rolled him up with the Airplane Throw to get the three count out of nowhere.

Kazuki Hirata approached Team Olympian after the match with Yoshihiko, Owashi and Antonio Honda all by his side. Hirata asked the fans if they liked his match against Yoshihiko earlier and if they should team together? In order to make this potential team come to life they need a championship so they want the 8-Man Tag Belts with Owashi & Honda! Yatsu agreed and the match will take place in Ota Ward Gymnasium on 3rd November.

But what about Junretsu? They have to live up to their promise and disband because they didn’t win the belts. Makoto Oishi confirmed it but asked if the unit could have one more match so they can leave on happier terms. Okada suggested if they win this match then Junretsu can continue. Oishi said Junretsu and The 37KAMIINA have a 6-Man Tag match in Fuji later this month. They can turn it into an 8-Man Tag and he will be there as the ring announcer so the entire Junretsu unit will all be in the same place. Okada & Okatani liked the idea but Watase was silent throughout the entire team talk.

The debuting Yuki Ishida brought the fight to Higuchi in the sumo versus sumo matchup. Higuchi stood his ground against Ishida’s attacks until the rookie threw Sumo Slaps at him into the corner. He followed up with Corner Splashes and a Sitout Spinebuster for a nearfall. Higuchi took over with a Lariat and the Oklahoma Stampede then pinned him with a Choke Slam. Higuchi shook his hand after the match. Ishida said he wants to devote himself to becoming a pro wrestler so he can some day overtake Higuchi. He also wants to be unique with his sumo style, aiming to be as strong as Kensuke Sasaki but with the speed of El Lindaman, who is closer to his size.

Three Dark Matches extended the show’s full length. Riko Kawahata made her DDT debut entering the ring with an energetic dance. She did well against Saki Akai but her big mistake was doing a Moonsault. Akai blocked it with her knees. Kawabata still had her wits about to dodge the Rookie Award but Akai followed up with a Buzzsaw Kick and applied a Triangle Choke to make her submit. Akai told Kawahata she got to understand AJW-ism from her but she was born and raised in DDT. She wants the two of them to carry their different legacies and do their best for each other from now on.

The bad blood between Hirata and Yoshihiko is now all water under the bridge. They settled their score in a singles match where Yoshihiko came out on top. The doll targeted Hirata’s arm before going for its tried and tested Reincarnation. Hirata tried to do the Viagra Driver but Yoshihiko countered it into the Reincarnation again. Hirata kicked out but his momentum was turned against him as he rolled right into an Arm Lock. Hirata gave up but swallowed his pride and shook Yoshihiko’s hand after the match. The two left the ring together shoulder to shoulder.

The trio representing ChocoPro made their promotion proud with a win in the very first match of the day. When Yuko Naya blocked Honda’s Gongitsune, Baliyan Akki lifted Masahiro Takanashi onto his shoulders to reach out and poke Naya in the eyes with his own Gongitsune. The others kept Naya & Gota Ihashi at bay while Akki pinned Yuya Koroku with the Namaste Press.

The Rojo Pro Wrestling show at the Tokyo Dome on 31st October now has a prize attached to it. The winners of the DDT TOKYO DOME CUP will receive 5,000,000 yen. Five teams will enter and two have been announced. The 37KAMIINA are the first team. The second team consists of Chris Brookes, The Brahman Brothers & Gorgeous Matsuno.

Atsushi Onita returns to DDT on 18th December in Nagoya for a Current Blast Death Match.

In 2022 DDT will hold shows at Shinjuku FACE with 0 yen ticket prices once a month for the entire year. This is part of DDT’s 25th Anniversary celebrations.

6. KO-D Openweight Title: Konosuke Takeshita (c) defeated Chris Brookes with the Plus Ultra (29:51).
*V1 for Konosuke Takeshita.

The weeks leading up to today’s KO-D Openweight Title match was built around whether or not Konosuke Takeshita could beat Chris Brookes with the Plus Ultra. But first a lot of big bombs were dropped in and out the ring to get there. Takeshita did an Avalanche Power Bomb. Brookes fought back with the Praying Mantis Bomb and the Octopus Stretch. Takeshita stayed in the hold but was still able to stand up and climb the turnbuckles again, this time with Brookes on his back. Brookes turned it into his advantage and he did an Avalanche Crucifix Driver. He went for the Praying Mantis Bomb once more but Takeshita did his best to avoid it. Some Lariats from the champion took their toll and Brookes was soon bleeding from the mouth. He kept kicking out of pins so Takeshita finally put him in the Plus Ultra and got him to give up.

After the match Takeshita revealed that Brookes once said he doesn’t have any friends in Japan. Takeshita wants Brookes to take a look and see that he has made many friends in DDT and ChocoPro. In fact, Takeshita even calls Brookes his best friend! He thanked him for coming to Japan and for choosing DDT. After the two hugged, Takeshita said he was happy to have a main event like this in front of a sold out Korakuen Hall. There are still many empty seats because of social distancing but he is sure the day will come in the future when all of them are full again for a DDT show. Backstage Takeshita said next year will be his 10th year in wrestling. He will fight for the next 10 years to give back everything that he’s gotten over the last decade. In regards to his friendship with Brookes, they are two wrestlers who are enthusiastic wrestling fans. Takeshita thinks he can be seen as the Japanese Chris Brookes while Brookes can be seen as the British Takeshita.

It was time to say farewell to DAMNATION. The unit had been around since 2016 but is now forced to go their separate ways after losing the DRAMATIC SURVIVOR tournament earlier this month. The majority of the unit’s members gathered together for the final match. Hiroshi Yamato wasn’t here but recorded a message to be included in the pre-match video. The match itself wasn’t friendly with Shuji Ishikawa & Soma Takao both holding Daisuke Sasaki responsible for the split. They took their frustration out on him whenever he was in the ring while Yuji Hino got illegally involved outside the ring at certain points. However Sasaki had Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie to back him up and with their help Sasaki got the last laugh in the end by submitting Nobuhiro Shimatani. DAMNATION all got together after the match and Sasaki thanked the fans for following them over the last 5 years. All that was left to do is let DAMNATION perform karaoke one final time. Ishikawa then sang “Choo Choo TRAIN” by EXILE while Hino filmed everyone dancing. Sasaki stopped Ishikawa’s singing to remind everyone “We don’t conform, we don’t kiss ass and we don’t get married!” DAMNATION, forever!

The forbidden tag team has been put together! Jun Akiyama and Yoshihiko teamed together for the first time ever to beat HARASHIMA & Kazuki Hirata. It was a big deal but something Akiyama wasn’t 100% comfortable with. His only worry was if today’s special guest Riki Choshu was still in the building while the match went on. As long as Choshu didn’t see what Akiyama did today then everything’s ok! Akiyama & Yoshihiko performed stereo Exploder Suplexes before Yoshihiko pinned Hirata with the Reincarnation. Akiyama made sure once more that Choshu wasn’t around and said he had a lot of fun today.

The return of Masahiro Takanashi to DDT wasn’t the most glamourous of occasions. He was thrown right back into the wacky side of the company. He was also thrown right back into Danshoku Dieno’s backside but we’re getting ahead of things. Naomi Yoshimura wanted to beat up Takanashi because there isn’t enough room for two “orange” wrestlers in DDT. Even Saki Akai wasn’t shy in kicking Takanashi a little harder than she usually would. Toru Owashi didn’t even do much to protect him either. Takanashi almost had Antonio Honda set up for the Takatonic but he ended up getting a face-full of Dieno as mentioned above. Honda then gave Takanashi the TTD and got the three count with the Diving Fist Drop. A group photo was taken after the match with Yukio Sakaguchi joining it.

The Record Of Ragnarok pitted Gods against Humanity while Choshu watched from the commentary booth. The Humanity team were led to the ring by Brynhildr (played by Haruna Iikubo) but they quickly learned they were no match against the Gods led by Daisuke Sekimoto. One by one Shunma Katsumata, Yuki Ueno & MAO were picked apart by Kazusada Higuchi, Yukio Naya & Akito. In one final desperate move, Brynhildr called forth the very first human Adam! Nakamura reappeared dressed as “Adam” but Sekimoto destroyed him to leave the Gods victorious. When the dust settled, Choshu & Brynhildr promoted the Record Of Ragnarok anime and stage show. Choshu said he wished he could have done a wrestling match like this in his era, especially against somebody like Sekimoto. Choshu also said if God really did want to destroy the human race then he would fight him!

The growing power of Pheromones was too much for Yusuke Okada & Hideki Okatani to handle. Yuki Iino has found a way to do a sexy version of the Lariat to make it a stronger move. This match aired live on DDT’s Youtube channel so Sanshiro Takagi was concerned the channel was about to get banned thanks to the lewd antics of Iino & Yumehito Imanari. Takagi decided it is up to him and Okada to stop Pheromones from damaging DDT any further. He booked himself, Okada and a third partner to face Pheromones at Ota Ward Gymnasium on 3rd November. Not only that but the match will be for the vacant KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles! Dieno accepted on the condition that if Pheromones wins then Takagi must let them continue doing whatever they want, even if it destroys DDT. Takagi promised he will beat them and break them up before that happens. Dieno then quipped that Takagi likes to break things up lately.

The two pre-show matches were also aired on Youtube in an attempt by DDT to add more importance to the earlier half of the show. One of the matches had Takagi team up with joshi legend Yumiko Hotta to defeat Shinya Aoki & Mizuki Watase. The result saw Hotta strike Aoki with a steel chain before pinning him with the Pyramid Driver. Hotta then challenged Aoki for the DDT Extreme Title. Aoki wants the match to take place at the RIZIN show on 2nd October but it will instead happen in DDT on 12th October.

The other pre-show match was an Exhibition bout for Yuki Ishida. The rookie will properly debut on 12th October and he got five minutes in the ring with Yuya Koroku to prepare for it. Ishida got to hit a big Jumping Shoulder attack and put Koroku in a Crab Hold. Koroku got a rope break and he held Ishida in a Cross Armbreaker until the time expired.

Yukio Sakaguchi appeared at the start of the show to talk about his back injury. He placed both his jacket and his Eruption robe onto the top rope before apologizing for being unable to wrestle today. He will be away from the ring for a while but when he comes back he will be wearing those outfits hanging over the rope again.

Takagi and Hotta had their post-match interview backstage interrupted. Riko Kawahata, who wrestles for Hotta’s T-HEARTS promotion approached Takagi asking if she could wrestle at the 12th October DDT show. Hotta was insulted to see Kawabata act out of turn and directly ask Takagi this way. She grabbed her out of anger but Takagi calmed things down and told Kawabata he will think about it.

The two blocks for the D-Ou Grand Prix 2021 II were both revealed during the show. Block A has Jun Akiyama, Tetsuya Endo, Yuki Ueno, Naomi Yoshimura, Yuji Hino and Bodyguard. Block B consists of Konosuke Takeshita, HARASHIMA, Kazusada Higuchi, MAO, Chris Brookes and Yuji Okabayashi. Daisuke Sasaki was offered a spot in the tournament but he declined to participate.

2022 will be DDT’s 25th Anniversary so a project is being put together to celebrate it. The theme of this project is a “Dramatic Dream Tour” through the past, present and future of DDT. The “Past” is the Dramatic Dream Bout TOP 25 and Dramatic Dream Hall Of Fame TOP 25 where fans get to choose their favourite matches and wrestlers from DDT’s history.

The “Future” is the official debut of the DDT Teenage Project sub brand. It is renamed DDTeeeen!! and the first show is taking place in Shinjuku FACE on 17th October.

And then there is the “Present”. DDT will hold its 25th Anniversary show at Sumo Hall on 20th March, 2022! It will be the first time DDT is back in Ryogoku in three years.

Brookes & Kazusada Higuchi followed Antonio Honda’s lead by tripping over the ropes and injuring their knees. It was all to set up a Triple Gongitsune spot. Yuki Ueno & MAO got rid of Brookes & Higuchi. Honda tried to fight off Takeshita with Knuckle Punches but Takeshita hit him with the Zahi knee strike and made him submit to the Plus Ultra. Takeshita said he was happy to wrestle in his hometown as a champion and he will return next time still as the champion.

The Pheromones team are getting out of control. Danshoku Dieno’s match with Shunma Katsumata already started off crazy when Katsumata tied Dieno’s feet together with tape outside the ring in a bid to have him counted out. Dieno got back in but Katsumata then taped his mouth shut to prevent the Lip Lock. Katsumata was about to hit the Firebird Splash when music suddenly began playing and Yuki Iino appeared on the balcony performing a strip tease to distract him. Dieno removed his tap but every time he attempted the Lip Lock, he was misdirected into Yukinori Matsui, knocking the referee out. With Matsui out of action the match has to be called off. Pheromones continued their attack on Katsumata, giving him a Double Danshoku Driver. The 37KAMIINA ran in to rescue their friend and Pheromones escaped. Katsumata remained in an unconscious state for the rest of the show.

Pheromones also interfered in Iino’s match against Mad Paulie. Dieno gave Paulie the Lip Lock when the ref was distracted. He then charged himself up by pressing his own face into Iino’s backside before giving Paulie another Lip Lock. This form of the move is called the Earth Kiss.

Jun Akiyama & Yusuke Okada Vs Magnitude Kishiwada & Inabi no Buffalo is booked for Matsui’s show on 17th October.

7. DRAMATIC SURVIVOR ~ Losers Advance 8-Man Tag Tournament – Decision Match: Konosuke Takeshita, Shunma Katsumata, Yuki Ueno & MAO defeated Daisuke Sasaki, Tetsuya Endo, Soma Takao & Yuji Hino when Ueno pinned Sasaki with the WR (22:16).
*DAMNATION are forced to disband. Tetsuya Endo, Soma Takao & Yuji Hino vacate the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles.

It’s all over for DAMNATION. After over five years as a powerful force in DDT, the unit is now forced to disband after becoming the ultimate losers of the first ever DRAMATIC SURVIVOR tournament. The “final” came down to DAMNATION against The 37KAMIINA. Both units have tag team champions within them so a championship was also guaranteed to be vacated due to the rules of the tournament. MAO was the immediate target for DAMNATION because he was the one pinned in 37KAMIINA’s earlier match and was identified as the weak point. He had a chance to end the match with the Hollywood Star Press but Soma Takao moved out of the way. DAMNATION then switched over to Shunma Katsumata after Daisuke Sasaki hit him with the DAMNATION signboard. Katsumata held on and turned the tables with Konosuke Takeshita’s help. Tetsuya Endo was almost pinned but he tagged out to Yuji Hino to carry the load. The match came down to Sasaki and Yuki Ueno fighting for survival. Endo tried to help by doing the Springboard Overhead Kick but Ueno dodged it and Sasaki got kicked instead! The 37KAMIINA ganged up on Sasaki while keeping the rest of DAMNATION away. They hit the MADMAX and Ueno followed up with the BME but Hino broke the count. Another clearing of the ring allowed Ueno to give Sasaki the WR and win the match, killing off DAMNATION in the process.

The result means Ueno gets some measure of revenge on Sasaki over what happened at “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2021”. Ueno said The 37KAMIINA couldn’t be defeated in the end because everyone in the group has evolved. Sasaki said DAMNATION was going to break up in 2025 anyway so they will wait until then to officially do it. Hisaya Imabayashi then immediately corrected Sasaki and said DAMNATION’s final match will happen on 26th September. Also Endo, Takao & Hino now have to forfeit the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles. Ueno closed out the show by saying The 37KAMIINA will continue to be brighter, happier and hotter that anyone else in DDT!

Backstage MAO apologized for always needing to be saved by the others. Katsumata assured him it is no one’s fault and the power of all four combined is why they won. That cheered MAO up and made him want to run over Sanshiro Takagi with a car because this entire tournament was his idea in the first place. MAO also wonders what Endo will become now he will be on his own. He wants to reach out to his fellow countryman but Takeshita does not. The mood was bad over in DAMNATION. Mad Paulie cried, Takao doesn’t know what to do, Sasaki kind of blamed Endo but swore revenge on Ueno, Hino blamed Takao, Endo calmed everyone down and then Sasaki finally took responsibility for what happened. Even Sanshiro Takagi admits that losing DAMNATION will hurt DDT because they were a popular unit. But Takagi doesn’t want DDT to be stuck in a rut so a shakeup like this was necessary. If something bad happens because of this, he will take care of it.

In the earlier round, DISASTER BOX and Junretsu defied expectations and both won their survival early. DISASTER BOX were the favourites to disband so they threw everyone for a loop from the get go. Kazuki Hirata pulled off the miracle by cradling Takao for the three count. HARASHIMA was relieved with the result and gave Hirata credit for doing his best. Toru Owashi admitted to feeling despair when the match came down to only him and Hirata against DAMNATION. Naomi Yoshimura saw the funny side and called Hirata the main character of today’s show. Hirata said everyone in DISASTER BOX loves being here because the unit gives them all a home to go back to. Everyone then wished Hirata luck in going after the DDT Extreme Title next weekend.

Junretsu were safe after a good moment of timing. MAO had Yusuke Okada beaten with the Michinoku Driver II until Jun Akiyama rushed in and hit MAO with the Running Knee Butt. Okada then rolled MAO over and scored the three count for the win. Mizuki Watase said their unit was able to win because they have the best bond and unity in the world. He is now confident that Junretsu can become the KO-D 8-Man Tag Team Champions. The rest of the unit aren’t as enthusiastic about the idea but Makoto Oishi thinks the only reason they won today was to avoid splitting up. So maybe they can win the 8-Man Tag Titles if they have to risk disbanding the unit again. Akiyama told the other four to go do that because he would rather team with Yoshihiko.

Chris Brookes is working on his submission game to keep Takeshita on his toes. He used a grounded version of the Octopus Hold to beat Yukio Sakaguchi by TKO. What’s remarkable is Sakaguchi attempted to use the Plus Ultra hold that Takeshita created but Brookes countered it into the Octopus Hold. However Brookes is expecting Takeshita to study this match in preparation for the KO-D Openweight Title bout and will learn how to avoid that counter. He knows he can’t reveal his full hand before then.

The Badonkadonk used by Yuki Iino is a Banzai Drop but with most of Iino’s clothing missing. After Pheromones won their match, Danshoku Dieno teased that the team will soon get a third member. They can sniff this mystery wrestler’s presence in the air but think now is not the time to identify who it is.

DDT will return to Nagoya Congress Center on 18th December.

*Yuki Ueno fails in V7. Daisuke Sasaki becomes the 5th DDT Universal Champion!
6. KO-D Openweight Title – BLACKOUT Presents: Konosuke Takeshita defeated Jun Akiyama (c) with the Modified Chickenwing Facelock (24:43).
*Jun Akiyama fails in V4. Konosuke Takeshita becomes the 77th KO-D Openweight Champion!

The first outdoor “WRESTLE PETER PAN” saw Konosuke Takeshita finally beat Jun Akiyama and reclaim the KO-D Openweight Title. They fought back and forth with Exploders and German Suplexes one after the other while Kenta Kobashi watched from ringside. Both also tried to win with their submission finishers. Akiyama with the Front Neck Lock and Takeshita with the Modified Chickenwing Facelock. When all else failed they went to their Knee Strikes until one stayed down. Takeshita pulled down his knee pad before hitting more Zahi Knee Strikes but Akiyama wouldn’t stay down. He had to throw Akiyama with the Cross-Arm German Suplex and then apply the Modified Chickenwing Facelock once more. The move Takeshita invented to Akiyama finally achieved its purpose and the champion tapped out!

When Takeshita was given the KO-D Title belt, he said today was not the end. He will defend the title with all of his might, become stronger and have a rematch with Akiyama this time so he can beat him as the champion. Akiyama accepted defeat but said he will get it back, just you wait and see. Chris Brookes then entered the ring and told Takeshita he hasn’t beaten him one on one in over two years. Brookes wants a shot at the title! Takeshita accepted the challenge and it will take place on the 26th September Korakuen Hall show.

Daisuke Sasaki entered Fujitsu Stadium Kawasaki holding the DDT Universal Title and he gets to leave with it. Except now he actually is the Universal Champion. After weeks of theft, cheap shots and violence Yuki Ueno couldn’t get revenge for everything Sasaki had done to him. Sasaki busted him open with a belt shot. Later Mad Paulie pulled the referee away when Ueno had Sasaki pinned after a Shining Wizard. Ueno Dropkicked Paulie and Moonsaulted onto both of them outside the ring. Everything was going so well for Ueno he was even avoiding Sasaki’s cheating. But Sasaki countered the WR into La Mistica Crossover Facelock and forced Ueno to give up. Backstage Ueno admitted that Sasaki has stolen everything from him. Now it is his turn to take away everything that Sasaki cherishes. For now that threat is falling on deaf ears. Sasaki heard the guest commentator Sumire Uesaka praised him a lot during his match. He wants her address so he can mail her a marriage certificate.

Tensions were high when DAMNATION and Eruption fought for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles. From the start they were ready to fight when Soma Takao threw his belt down at Yukio Sakaguchi. Meanwhile Saki Akai kept posturing at Yuji Hino, demanding he take her seriously and throw his strong Chops at her. Hino overpowered Akai but Sakaguchi & Kazusada Higuchi were there to break the pins. Tetsuya Endo wiped out nearly everyone with a Swan Dive Shooting Star Press out of the ring. That left Akai and Hino alone to fight. Akai kept chopping and kicking Hino until he finally threw the Chop her way. Akai kicked out of the pin so Hino hit her with a Lariat. Akai kicked out of that too and still tried to fight back. Hino had to put her away with the Fuckin’ BOMB to end the match. Afterwards Hino reminded Akai of all the jokes he previously made about her being a woman. Well now he can say she is also a pro wrestler!

Jun Kasai got a taste of hardcore wrestling The 37KAMIINA style. It involves Lego. Lots and lots of Lego. Shunma Katsumata & MAO filled the ring with the toy blocks and smashed a few plastic cases along the way. Katsumata even decided to wrestle barefoot, daring Kasai to follow his lead. Kasai told him he is a man and he would but couldn’t get his wrestling boots off in time before Katsumata attacked him. Katsumata did a Moonsault Double Stomp but Kasai rolled out of the way, making him land bare feet first onto the Lego! Brookes then threw him into a ladder with the Tropical☆Yahoo. The 37KAMIINA fought back by digging skewers into their opponents’ heads. Kasai then turned the danger up a notch by blocking a Katsumata dive with a knife! He then gave Katsumata the Reverse Tiger Driver while Brookes pinned MAO with the Praying Mantis Bomb, all on the Lego for the finish. Afterwards Kasai admitted the “relaxing” hardcore matches The 37KAMIINA put together are actually fun, like a good memory from a summer vacation.

DDT’s first ever Double Ring Double Singles Matches both ended in eleven seconds. Toru Owashi immediately pinned Antonio Honda and Danshoku Dieno immediately pinned Kazuki Hirata with the same moves at the same time. Hisaya Imabayashi wasn’t sure what had happened because he couldn’t see both matches at once. So he called for both matches to restart but this time to keep them in the same ring. The rematches fell apart when the referees Yukinori Matsui and Daisuke Kiso kept getting in each other’s way. They soon started fighting each other and the wrestlers had to keep them apart. Imabayashi then had an idea to turn everything into a 3 Vs 3 match: Owashi, Honda & Kiso Vs Dieno, Hirata & Matsui with Imabayashi as the ref. Matsui’s team put Kiso in the Kaientai pose and Dieno applied the Lip Lock. Kiso then suddenly countered Matsui’s Brainbuster into a Small Package to grab victory from the jaws of defeat.

The opening match was the debuts of El Unicorn and Ilusion from the DDT Teenage Project. They were given a chance to shine and literally wrestle on top of everyone else. While the other 8 participants were locked up in a multi-man suplex struggle, Unicorn and Ilusion climbed on top of them to fight each other. It ended with Ilusion Suplexing Unicorn onto the pile below. Yuji Okabayashi’s team then won out on the multi-man Suplex spot. Ilusion Dropkicked Yusuke Okada and then joined in with Mizuki Watase to dive onto everybody outside the ring. Unicorn came back and hit a Dragonrana to Ilusion then pinned him with a Modified Double Knee Stomp. Backstage Ilusion swore to avenge his loss when he faces Unicorn in a singles match on 29th August. Yuki Iino went around searching for Naomi Yoshimura to continue fighting him. HARASHIMA and TAMURA both praised the young wrestlers for their efforts. Raimu Imai asked if he could wrestle in DDT again.

The pre-show match a a calm affair. Just a Current Blast Death Match, no biggie. Everyone was dressed for battle except for Akito, who wrestled in a suit. Kuro-chan used Hikari Noa as a shield to prevent Atsushi Onita from swinging the blast bat at him. Tetsuhiro Kuroda grabbed the bat and handed it to Kuro-chan so he could blast Onita with it. Onita got revenge by Piledriving Kuroda onto a table. Super Sasadango Machine tried to fight off everyone with a chair. Maki Itoh and Noa had a standoff with each holding blast bats. They swung at each other causing a big explosion. When the dust cleared the match came down to Onita and Kuro-chan. Onita hit his Kuro-chan with the blast bat and got the three count. After the match Onita poured water over him and with Sanshiro Takagi’s help, aided in carrying him out of the ring. Kuro-chan begged for forgiveness until Onita told him he has the qualities of a pro wrestler. It’s time for him to enter Mr. Onita’s office for a talk…

The other pre-show match saw Yukio Naya & Keigo Nakamura beat Hideki Okatani & Yuya Koroku. The least experience wrestler of the four Koroku kicked out of Naya’s Scrapbuster and Running Knee Lift. But he was put down with a Choke Slam, giving Naya’s team the win.

At the end of the show, Takagi revealed one last gift for the DDT fans. The final major DDT event of 2021 will take place at Yoyogi Gymnasium #2 on 26th December. It will be DDT’s first time in the venue.

7. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata (c) defeated Jun Akiyama & Yusuke Okada when Katsumata pinned Okada with the Firebird Splash (20:33).
*V1 for The 37KAMIINA.

It’s one week until “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2021” but there was still some business for DDT to tend too. For the main event the ring canvas was removed to show a brand new blue rimmed canvas underneath. The 37KAMIINA and Junretsu were the first to wrestle on it with the KO-D Tag Team Titles on the line. Jun Akiyama dealt with Konosuke Takeshita and created a 2-on-1 situation for his side. Akiyama threw Shunma Katsumata with an Exploder Suplex and Yusuke Okada hit a Diving Headbutt for a nearfall. Takeshita made it back in to break the count and even the odds. He blocked Okada’s Tornado DDT and lifted him up for a Braibuster. Then Katsumata jumped in to hit the MADMAX but Akiyama broke the pin. Takeshita held Akiyama back while Katsumata finished Okada off with the Firebird Splash.

After the match Takeshita pointed at the KO-D Openweight Title resting on Akiyama’s shoulder. They bumped fists to so there is no bad blood heading into their title match and Junretsu left. Katsumata then celebrated his team making their first title defence. Takeshita thanked him for his hard work winning them the match today and giving them momentum heading into “WRESTLE PETER PAN”.

The Hardcore Judo match for the DDT Extreme Title turned out to be a Best 2 Out Of 3 Falls contest. In the 1st fall Shinya Aoki and MAO had to have a regular judo match inside the ring. They both grappled and threw each other to the ground. At first Daisuke Kiso gave the point to Aoki but after consulting with judges outside the ring it was decided that MAO scored the Ippon instead. The 2nd fall was a Hardcore Match so both participants took off their judo jackets and brought out the weapons. After a violent back and forth, Aoki caught MAO in the European Clutch to get the three count. The final fall was Hardcore Judo rules, a Judo fight with weapons! They fought up the turnbuckles and Aoki threw MAO through a table below to score Ippon and win the match!

After the match Kazuki Hirata entered the ring in his full entrance costume. Aoki immediately threw a chair at him. Hirata calmed him down and respectfully challenged him for the Extreme Title. He explained it is great to win exciting matches against opponents you don’t know if you can beat. However it is also great to defend against opponents you can easily beat, like him! In a normal match Aoki Vs Hirata is heavily one-sided but Aoki can create a rule that can allow even the weakest wrestler to win! Aoki answered no. Hirata then threatened to quit DDT and without him there won’t be anybody backstage to do all the dirty work that keeps the show running. Aoki laughed and accepted the challenge. Hisaya Imabayashi decided the match will take place in Nishitetsu Hall on 12th September.

Daisuke Sasaki came back from quarantine with the stolen DDT Universal Title and quickly made a beeline for Yuki Ueno. As the match went on, Sasaki struck Ueno in the head with the belt and busted him open. While Sasaki continued beating up Ueno at ringside, Akito rolled up Mad Paulie to win the match. But that wasn’t the focus as Sasaki threw Ueno into the ring post and continued to beat him bloody. Sasaki even ambushed Ueno again backstage during the post-match interview. His message is loud and clear. Daisuke Sasaki is back!

Eruption faced DAMNATION is another warm up bout for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match. Soma Takao threw his belt down in front of Yukio Sakaguchi to annoy him. Yuji Hino blocked the God’s Right Knee but was bashed by Kazusada Higuchi. Higuchi was then wiped out by Tetsuya Endo’s Sasuke Special No. 1. Yuya Koroku tagged in to take the glory but Takao ended up beating him with the Gin And Tonic. Takao threw his title belt again, provoking Sakaguchi into fighting him. Meanwhile Higuchi and Endo butted heads. Saki Akai then entered the ring where Hino stood before here. Hino teased throwing a chop but relaxed and told Akai to go home. Akai slapped him across the face in response. The situation calmed down after that and both sides separated.

The Kininashi Wanaru match had a specific goal to achieve. The hosts of the TV show created their own characters for Yuki Iino & Yukio Naya to play. They also made 100 T-shirts for the gimmicks and wanted to sell all of them. In fact, the hosts were more concerned with selling the shirts than watching the match. Drago was Naya wearing a Riki Choshu mask while Haka was Iino wearing a Sanshiro Takagi mask. That one caught the real Takagi by surprise. They wrestled under the masks at first but they eventually got removed. Shiro Koshinaka did his thing while reminding everyone he is 62 years old. Takagi had Haka beat but Danshoku Dieno suddenly appeared and pulled Yukinori Matsui out of the ring mid pinfall. Takagi gave Dieno the Stunner and placed him over the turnbuckles with his backside hanging out. Unfortunately Takagi himself was sent face first into Dieno’s butt and then Iino pinned him with the Spear.

Hirata’s appearance earlier in the show quickly ended when he submitted to Chris Brookes. Everyone agreed to an immediate rematch and Brookes instantly put Hirata in the Octopus Stretch again. This time Toru Owashi broke the hold. Naomi Yoshimura cleaned house until Hirata pleaded to be tagged back in. Antonio Honda brought the match to a halt with Gongitsune that was also charged by Dieno’s backside. Keigo Nakamura also got charged up when he was thrown head first into Dieno. His charged head gave everyone electric shocks but Hirata guided him to collide with Honda and then rolled him up for the three count. Hirata promised to win his part of the Double Ring Double Single Match and be crowned the king of the 2nd match on the card!

After a long absence due to injury, Mizuki Watase returned to the ring for his first wrestling match in six months. His opponent was his Junretsu teammate Hideki Okatani. The match showed just how much Okatani has progressed while Watase was gone. Watase still put up a fight but he was done when Okatani countered the Back Drop into a Bulldog Headlock. Okatani then got the pin with the Double Arm Suplex. The two shook hands after the match. Watase was disappointed to lose against a younger and less experienced wrestler. But he also understands while he was gone for six months, Okatani was training with Akiyama during that same time period. Watase has to start again from scratch but at least he too will have Akiyama guiding him.

DDT is now sponsored by Japan Bakery Marketing and they get a prime advertising spot on the neutral corner pads. The company producer Takuya Kishimoto appeared with Takagi to pose with some bread. The deal came together when Takagi met with Kishimoto at a recent Rojo Pro Wrestling event that DDT put together. Kishimoto said he became hooked with wrestling and feels the same happiness he gets from eating bread.

Kenta Kobashi will appear at “WRESTLE PETER PAN” to observe the KO-D Title match between Akiyama and Takeshita.

6. Morioka Specialty Special 6-Man Tag Match: Konosuke Takeshita, Shunma Katsumata & Keigo Nakamura defeated Jun Akiyama, Yusuke Okada & Hideki Okatani when Nakamura pinned Okatani with a Jackknife Pine (20:25).

Every dog has his day. Today’s that day and Keigo Nakamura is that dog. Today was his first homecoming show and he wanted to fight Jun Akiyama straight away. Akiyama had some fun by keeping score of all his points for every hold he used until he tagged out. Junretsu kept getting the upper hand on Nakamura. Yusuke Okada Superplexed him and Akiyama got in his knee strike. Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata were able to break pins and keep the match alive. Then when Hideki Okatani tried to set up the Northern Lights Suplex, Nakamura countered him with a Headbutt and used a Jackknife Pin to get the upset win! Both Takeshita & Katsumata praised Nakamura for winning the main event for them. Nakamura promised he will win a singles title someday and wrestle in Morioka as the champion!

Daisuke Sasaki wasn’t at the show today so Yuki Ueno couldn’t get the DDT Universal Title back. However Mad Paulie brought out a homemade cardboard Universal Title to taunt the champion with. Tetsuya Endo even used it to hit Ueno with a belt shot! In the end Ueno beat Paulie with the BME and took the cardboard title from him. Backstage Ueno called the fake title worthless garbage. That is a perfect representation of Sasaki. He then tore the belt apart.

Yukio Sakaguchi and Soma Takao kept fighting outside the ring after their match ended. Takao came out on top when he hit Sakaguchi with his KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Title belt.

The Ou Mountains used by Akito to win his match is a Standing Anklelock applied while the victim Kazuki Hirata was planted face first into Danshoku Dieno’s backside. Kazusada Higuchi also applied the Claw to Dieno’s crotch to charge more power to the move somehow.
