5b. Go Shiozaki pinned Harutoki with the Strong Arm Lariat (2:10).
5c. Akitoshi Saito pinned Tomomitsu Matsunaga with the Sickle Death (9:28).

It’s been a while since I wrote about the “LIMIT BREAK” shows over at NOAH. The last one took place back in July and I skipped over it. The only DDT related matches on it were Jun Akiyama and Tomomitsu Matsunaga in the opening two bouts so there wasn’t much to write about. Today though was different because those two along with Yukio Naya were in a big main event against TEAM NOAH. The three of them along with Harutoki fought TEAM NOAH in a Best 2 Out Of 3 Falls match. The first two falls were both decided by Go Shiozaki and Harutoki. The visiting team unexpectedly won the first fall when Harutoki blocked Shiozaki’s Lariat with a High Kick and then used a Cross-Arm Falcon Arrow to get the pinfall. The second fall didn’t last long because Harutoki went for the quick win only to get cut down by Shiozaki’s Lariat for the three count. The final fall began with Atsushi Kotoge facing off against Naya before switching over to Akitoshi Saito against Akiyama. Matsunaga tagged in but got caught by the teamwork of Saito & Mohammed Yone. That led to Saito pinning Matsunaga with the Sickle Death to end the match. Later Saito said he would like to team up with Akiyama once last time before he retires.

BURNING fared better in their match against Kai Fujimura & Kohei Kinoshita. Late in the match Tetsuya Endo went after Fujimura with Swan Dive attacks and Yuki Iino took out Kinoshita with the Spear. Endo then caught Fujimura with the Tetsuya In The Sky before pinning him with the Torture Rack Bomb. Endo & Iino promised to keep on burning while the other team wants to have more matches against them.

Well, most of BURNING fared better. Yuya Koroku was in the opening match and lost to Hajime Ohara. He targeted Ohara’s left arm but his plan didn’t work out. Instead Ohara trapped him in the Muy Bien submission and made him tap out. Ohara would later become the newest member of TEAM NOAH at the end of the show.

1. Haru Kazashiro defeated Chika Nanase with the Fisherman Suplex (5:31).
2. Kaya Toribami defeated Wakana Uehara with the Bird Cage (8:04).
3. Mahiro Kiryu & Toga defeated Mizuki & Uta Takami when Toga pinned Takami with the Rock Bottom (10:05).
4. Yuki Kamifuku defeated Kira Summer with the Famouser (7:29).
5. Suzume, Arisu Endo & Moka Miyamoto defeated Rika Tatsumi, Yuki Aino & Shino Suzuki when Suzume pinned Suzuki with the Ring A Bell (12:50).
6. Miu Watanabe, Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh defeated Max The Impaler, Shoko Nakajima & HIMAWARI when Watanabe pinned HIMAWARI with the Tear Drop (15:16).

With Pom Harajuku wrestling over in Thailand today, Max The Impaler was going to have communication problems with their tag partners in the main event. During the entrances Max sat down in the front row and then wandered around ringside looking for Harajuku. Shoko Nakajima & HIMAWARI had to use portraits of Harajuku to lure Max into the ring and start the match. Even then Max was uncontrollable. They threw Miu Watanabe into the front row chairs and also threw HIMAWARI at the other team like a projectile. The champions team switched tactics and focused on HIMAWARI. Nakajima tried to lure Max back into the ring with the portrait but Maki Itoh gave her a Stunner. The portrait flew out of the ring, which only made Max even madder! Miyu Yamashita came to Itoh’s rescue and together 121000000 got rid of Max with the Knee Strike/Headbutt combo. Watanabe then pinned HIMAWARI with the Tear Drop to give the champions team the victory.

After the match Watanabe said it was a scary match but the champion team won. She also saw the wrestling gear 121000000 were wearing and said that the colour pink suits them. Yamashita had to apologize to Itoh because on 6th October it will be Yamashita & Watanabe teaming together to face Meiko Satomura at Korakuen Hall. Yamashita is determined to kick down Satomura and even the score from seven years ago. Watanabe also wants to leave her mark on Satomura because it might be the only time she will fight her. Itoh couldn’t help but get fired up by their comments even though she isn’t in the match. Meanwhile Nakajima believes she can’t lose when someone as powerful as Satomura is by her side.

Next month sees the return of the Next Generation Tournament. The second edition will begin on 13th October with the final taking place on 22nd November. The eight wrestlers entering the tournament all debuted in either 2023 or 2024. The entries are last year’s winner Wakana Uehara, the other finalist HIMAWARI, Toga, Shino Suzuki, Haru Kazashiro, Chika Nanase, Kira Summer and Uta Takami (the injured Runa Okubo won’t be competing).
