6. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Fuminori Abe & Takuya Nomura (c) Vs Yukio Naya & Yuki Iino
7. KO-D Openweight Title: Chris Brookes (c) Vs Kazusada Higuchi

Yesterday the two teams who will face each other for the KO-D Tag Team Titles both appeared at a press conference to sign the match contract. Astronauts both showed up in full gear while Yukio Naya & Yuki Iino were dressed in flashy summer clothing. Iino wanted to say his “I am BURNING! Yeah!” catchphrase but Fuminori Abe cut him off. Iino then told the reporters that his eyesight in his right eye has returned and he will be in perfect condition for the title match. Naya believes there aren’t many serious tag teams in DDT right now so they can bring along a new wind of tag team spirit by winning the tag titles. Takuya Nomura said he and Abe do great against bigger opponents because they get to show their true worth against wrestlers bigger than them. They’ll have no trouble winning this match and continuing their path to breaking the record for most title defences.

Abe talked about his attempts at becoming more fashionable lately. He is growing out his hair and got a fade cut from his barber. He was told if he grows it longer he can get a wet perm to cover the scar on his forehead. He then bought some new clothes at Uniqlo and when he put his new look together, he got embarrassed and felt like he was completely defeated by fashion. He then talked about his history with Naya back in Real Japan Pro Wrestling. That promotion is now called Strong Style Pro Wrestling and Abe regularly works there alongside Yuji Sakuragi & Hayato Mashita. Abe practiced with them recently and noticed the two of them were hitting harder than usual. At the end of practice they then told Abe he understands what he has to do. Naya needs to atone himself for leaving them so Abe will cut Naya’s pinkie finger off as his punishment! Abe’s goal in this match isn’t just to pin or submit Naya but to bring his pinkie finger back to their seniors!

When it comes to Iino, Abe has two nice things to say about him. One is Iino spends money taking care of his hair and the other is Iino can say slow paced catchphrases like “I am BURNING! Yeah!” There were times when rugby players would attend wrestling shows that Abe was on and they always tell him how cool Iino is. That annoys Abe because he thinks he is cooler so he cannot afford to lose to Iino. He will prove he is cooler by chopping off Naya’s finger. He then asked Naya & Iino what their tag team name is? Naya told him it will be revealed at Korakuen Hall right after they win the tag titles from Astronauts. Abe doesn’t want to wait that long so over the next few days they’ll think about revealing it sooner. At the end of the conference Iino tried to say his catchphrase one more time but Abe stopped him yet again.

1. 12th Tokyo Princess Cup Preliminary League – Round 2: X Vs X
2. 12th Tokyo Princess Cup Preliminary League – Round 2: X Vs X

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “YOSHIKO HASEGAWA GRADUATION EVENT – NONFICTION”, 08/07/2025
Shinjuku FACE

1. 12th Tokyo Princess Cup Preliminary League – Round 2: X Vs X
2. 12th Tokyo Princess Cup Preliminary League – Round 2: X Vs X

Earlier today Rise Shirai brought the eight remaining wrestlers in the Tokyo Princess Cup Preliminary League together to take part in a draw to determine who faces who in Round 2. The winners of these four matches will qualify for the actual Princess Cup, filling in the four remaining spots. The lottery came up with these four matches:

-. Moka Miyamoto Vs Kaya Toribami
-. Haru Kazashiro Vs Ivy Steele
-. Wakana Uehara Vs Shino Suzuki
-. Pom Harajuku Vs HIMAWARI

It has not been decided yet which matches will take place when. Two will be held at the 5th July show in Yokahama Radiant Hall and the remaining two takes place in Shinjuku FACE on 8th July. The match placements will take the rest of the show cards into consideration. For example maybe Moka Miyamoto will have another match with Suzume in Yokohama to build up their upcoming title match so that would mean Miyamoto’s qualifier against Kaya Toribami would have to take place in Shinjuku.
