1a. Rematch: Daisuke Sasaki, Hideki Okatani & Ilusion defeated Toru Owashi, Kazuki Hirata & Makoto Oishi when Ilusion pinned Oishi with the Swanton Bomb (7:01).
2. Minoru Suzuki & Chinsuke Nakamura defeated Jun Akiyama & Fat Kobashi when Suzuki submitted Kobashi with an Achilles Tendon Hold (13:15).
3. Mayumi Ozaki, HARASHIMA & Yukio Naya defeated Shin Sakura Hirota, Antonio Honda & Takeshi Masada (w/ Sanshiro Takagi) when Ozaki pinned Hirota with the Ozaki Kick (16:30).
4. MAO defeated Kuroshio TOKYO Japan with a Japanese Leg Roll Clutch (18:26).
5. Hiromu Takahashi & Chris Brookes Vs Yuki Ueno & Atsuki Aoyagi ended in a Time Limit Draw (20:00).

To celebrate 20 years of Shinjuku FACE a special show was put together featuring wrestlers from six different promotions. Really it was a DDT show with guests from New Japan, All Japan, OZ Academy, Up Town and West Gate Wrestling Federation involved. Hiromu Takahashi teamed with Chris Brookes while Atsuki Aoyagi teamed with Yuki Ueno in the main event tag match that lasted the full 20 minutes. Ueno felt the match was short but as long as Shinjuku FACE continues to exist there will always be more to come. Brookes was more upset that the bar was now closed because the show is about to end. Aoyagi said he would have liked to have done a singles match but he’s too tired right now. Takahashi said he hasn’t wrestled in this venue a lot but he has a fond memory of a New Japan show he did here back in May 2011. He beat a young lion making his debut named Takaaki Watanabe. Takahashi doesn’t know what ever happened to him but believes he would have become a superstar had he stuck around…

MAO and Kuroshio TOKYO Japan ended up chasing each other around the room with the Dramatic Dream bike involved. When they went back to the ring Kuroshio demanded a strike exchange to determine who is more popular. It turned into a series of roll ups that eventually ended with MAO scoring the three count.

The first pro wrestling match to be held in Shinjuku FACE 20 years ago featured Mayumi Ozaki so it was fitting she would get to take part in today’s show. That wasn’t the only special thing about Match #3. Sanshiro Takagi announced a surprise for everyone and called out Konosuke Takeshita! Then Shin Sakura Hirota wearing her complete Takeshita costume. After Ozaki won the match she told the fans she looks forward to their continued support for OZ Academy, herself and also DDT.

Minoru Suzuki got stuck with the parody wrestlers from West Gate Wrestling Federation. He enjoyed beating them up though.

In the opening match Kazuki Hirata made the mistake of launching an attack on DAMNATION T.A by himself. They easily took care of him and Daisuke Sasaki tapped him out before Hirata’s partners could even do anything. Staff forced the match to restart and this time DAMNATION T.A won in a more regular manner.

At the end of the show all of the wrestlers gathered in the ring alongside some of the venue’s staff. Everyone was introduced to Yuka Ogawa who was responsible for organizing today’s event. She said she is truly happy to have travelled this path of pro wrestling for 20 years. This show was a source of pride for her and her staff. She promised fans that they will continue to do their best to fill Shinjuku FACE with the same joy and excitement that everyone felt today.

There is an interesting piece of trivia about Shinjuku FACE that a Tokyo Sports article had yesterday. Mayumi Ozaki took part in the first pro wrestling match held in the venue 20 years ago! Shinjuku FACE’s first event after it opened was a women’s MMA show but it included a joshi wrestling match as bonus main event featuring Ozaki & Dynamite Kansai against Aja Kong & Manami Toyota. The only other person working on this show who was there from the start is Yuka Ogawa, the staff member who is interviewed in the above Tokyo Sports article.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TOKYO PRINCESS CUP”, 23/08/2025
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Special Single Match: Maki Itoh Vs X
2. 12th Tokyo Princess Cup – Final: X Vs X

So this is a weird one. Maki Itoh had plans to tour America again during the Tokyo Princess Cup but that schedule has now been cancelled and she is staying in Japan. As far as I know the only announced dates for Itoh’s tour up to this point were the two GCW Homecoming shows taking place during the same weekend as the Tokyo Princess Cup final. Since the tournament has already began, Tokyo Joshi Pro decided not to add her into it. Given the timing it was probably too late to book her as Moka Miyamoto’s replacement in Miyu Yamashita’s 1st Round match. Instead Itoh will have a match against one of the eliminated wrestlers on the same day as the final. Her opponent will not be revealed until after the semi finals on 17th August have been completed.

TJPW announced yesterday that Moka Miyamoto will continue to miss shows for the time being while she is getting treated for her illness. They have not gotten into any further detail about what has happened to her other than they will let everyone know when she will return.

After DAMNATION T.A attacked The Apex and challenged them for the KO-D Tag Team Titles, they quickly had the reverse happen to them. Yuki Iino found them backstage and demanded a shot at the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles. It was refused at first because Iino & Yukio Naya were without a third man but they quickly got Kazuma Sumi to join them and convince him he’s a heavyweight like they are.

10. KO-D Openweight Title: Kazusada Higuchi (c) Vs Jun Akiyama

The full cards for both days of “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2025” have been revealed. As already mentioned, Daisuke Sasaki & Hideki Okatani want to take the KO-D Tag Titles from The Apex. They believe the current champs are undeserving of the belts. DAMNATION T.A are also bringing back Haruto Sakuraba for his next DDT appearance. Kumadori is also back from injury but his match has nothing to do with Ilusion so I guess we’re just moving on from that little feud for the time being.

The other big match of note in my mind is Hinata Kasai’s debut match. HARASHIMA has been chosen to be his first opponent. The kid is going to eat a Somato sooner or later so may as well get him use to it from the beginning.

6. DDT Universal Title: Minoru Suzuki (c) Vs MAO

The next day is kind of hampered by being unable to react to many consequences that might come from the first show. The loser of the KO-D Openweight Title match will be pushed back to the opener. Matches #3 and #4 have the possibility of turning into a KO-D Tag Title match depending on who wins on the previous day. D GENERATIONS are also being given the spotlight for a big 8-Man Tag.

3. Rika Tatsumi, Yuki Kamifuku, Arisu Endo & HIMAWARI defeated Shoko Nakajima, Hyper Misao, Yuki Arai & Haru Kazashiro when Tatsumi pinned Kazashiro with the Twist Of Fate (12:41).
4. 12th Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1: Wakana Uehara defeated Suzume with a Jackknife Pin (9:24).
5. 12th Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1: Miu Watanabe defeated Raku with the Tear Drop (12:49).
6. 12th Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1: Mizuki defeated Yuki Aino with the Cutie Special (13:45).

With the preliminary league out of the way it is now time to start the Tokyo Princess Cup properly. Half of the Quarter Final spots have been filled after today’s set of matches and one of those spots goes to the reigning Princess Of Princess Champion. The main event began with Mizuki and Yuki Aino catching each other’s kicks and agreeing to let each other go. Mizuki relied on dives and Double Stomps so Aino climbed up the ropes too so she could do an Avalanche Side Suplex. She also pulled out a Side Walk variation of the Venus DDT but when she tried to finish her opponent off with the UBV, Mizuki escaped and used the Cutie Special twice to win. After the match Mizuki described the look in Aino’s sparkling, burning eyes and felt she couldn’t lose. Backstage she said Aino is always by her side for important matches so she’s happy to fight her today. Aino called herself the princess of summer going into this tournament and wants to believe her summer isn’t over yet. She is throwing her support behind Mizuki to win the Cup so she can challenge her again, hopefully for the Princess Title next time. Mizuki will be facing either Shoko Nakajima or Rika Tatsumi in the Quarter Final. She expects a tough match against either of them no matter who wins.

At the bracket drawing for the tournament, Raku tried to intimidate Miu Watanabe by posing like a triangle in front of her. Watanabe thought she looked like a traffic cone so Raku was inspired to bring one out for their match! Her plan was to briefly send Watanabe to sleep with a lullaby and then lead a trail of chocolate up to the entrance. There, Raku jumped out of her hiding spot and placed the cone over Watanabe’s head to block her sight and hopefully get counted out. Watanabe made it back to the ring pretty easily so Raku put the cone over her head again while appplying the Front Neck Lock. However Watanabe instead held onto her for a Giant Swing, making the cone fly off in the process. She then went on to pin Raku with the Tear Drop. Watanabe said she spent the cold season planning on getting back to the top again. Now that summer has arrived it’s time to put her plan in motion. Raku thought she bought enough chocolate to distract Watanabe and thinks she was outside the ring long enough for a 20 count. She ate some of the chocolate in the ring after the match and thought it was delicious so she isn’t too upset over losing. She also gave some of the remaining chocolate to the reporters during her post-match interview. Watanabe will face either HIMAWARI or Haru Kazashiro in the next round.

The big upset of Round 1 might have already happened because the first tournament match of the day saw Suzume lose to Wakana Uehara! The former International Princess Champion is now entering a slump because right after she lost the belt she ends up losing here too. Uehara blocked the Ring A Bell and used a School Boy for a nearfall. Then she kept up the pressure until she rolled over Suzume with a Jackknife Pin to get the three count. Uehara lost to Suzume in Dallas during the Texas tour so she felt she had to go all out today. She didn’t know what to do when Suzume countered the Banana Pillow so she had to rely on her heart and was already doing the Jackknife Pin by the time she realized what was happening. Suzume is disheartened because she has earned the trust of so many people and is letting them all down. She is confident she can get them all to believe in her again. There is also an opponent she had in mind if she won the tournament so this only makes her work even harder to get it. Uehara’s Quarter Final opponent is either going to be Yuki Kamifuku or Yuki Arai. She would like to avenge last year’s Princess Cup loss to Arai but she also likes wrestling with Kamifuku as partners and opponents.

Fumirin had a challenging time trying to control the 8-Woman Tag Match. Hyper Misao encouraged Yuki Arai to use the Hero Spray in order to learn that you cannot win big matches just by using normal ways. But Arai hesitated and refused to use it. When Misao used the spray on the other team, Fumirin grabbed it off her. Misao caught a kick from Arisu Endo and threw her foot into Fumirin to knock her down and sent the spray can falling to the middle of the ring. One by one everyone attacked each other with the spray can leaving everyone but Arai down on the ground. Arai hesitated to pick it up but decided to do it only for Endo to turn the can around and make Arai spray herself in the face with it.

There was originally supposed to be a fourth 1st Round bout on the show but Moka Miyamoto became ill and had to forfeit her match with Miyu Yamashita, meaning Yamashita already advances to the Quarter Finals on a bye. Yamashita was also moved over to a non-tournament bout today where she teamed with Mahiro Kiryu. However Maki Itoh was on the other team and Kiryu wanted to know how Yamashita still feels about her? Yamashita said she loves Itoh while Itoh told her to shut up. That made Kiryu worried that she caused a fight to happen between the two so she made Yamashita apologize with her while they both knelt on top of Pom Harajuku.

8. Toyota S&D Nishitokyo Co., Ltd. Presents HARASHIMA Debut 24th Anniversary Match – Special 6-Man Tag Match: HARASHIMA, Togi Makabe & Yasu Urano defeated Shinya Aoki, Shuji Ishikawa & Akito when HARASHIMA pinned Akito with the Swan Dive Somato (17:41).

It was a glorious homecoming for HARASHIMA as DDT held a show in his home city of Ome in Tokyo. He invited his old buddy Togi Makabe from the Teikyo University Pro Wrestling Club to team with him and Yasu Urano in the main event. HARASHIMA started the match off with Shinya Aoki while Makabe traded Lariats with Shuji Ishikawa. Urano took a beating from the other team but HARASHIMA avoided taking the Splash Mountain from Ishikawa. Makabe Clotheslined him out of the ring to allow HARASHIMA to pin Akito with the Swan Dive Somato. HARASHIMA thanked Makabe after the match for making memories with him. Backstage Makabe said he is overwhelmed with emotion because he sees how hard HARASHIMA is working to promote DDT. HARASHIMA talked about the times they trained together in the wrestling club 30 years ago and now here they are standing in the same ring together as pro wrestlers. He always wanted to wrestle in his hometown and it took everyone’s help to finally make it happen.

The Apex got past Jun Akiyama & Daichi Sato for their first defence of the KO-D Tag Team Titles but the next pair of challengers quickly revealed themselves. Akiyama & Sato came close to winning the belts when Akiyama gave Yukio Naya a Superplex and Sato followed up with the Mad Splash. But Yuki Iino broke the count and Naya regained his footing by hitting Sato with Knee Lifts before finishing him off with The World’s Best Back Drop. As soon as Iino tried to speak on the microphone, Ilusion came out and distracted The Apex so Daisuke Sasaki & Hideki Okatani could attack them from behind with chairs and Low Blows. They then said DAMNATION T.A are the next challengers because they want the belts and The Apex do not deserve them. The champions accepted the challenge and will do the match on 30th August. Backstage Iino & Naya praised Sato for his performance and look forward to fighting him even more in the future. Akiyama also told Sato they can keep challenging the champions as many times as it will take to beat them. Then even later Iino confronted DAMNATION T.A demanding a KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles shot. Sasaki refused because The Apex don’t have a third man to team with. Iino quickly found Kazuma Sumi nearby and told him he’s the perfect “heavyweight” to team with him and Naya. That title match will happen on 9th August.

The tag match between The 37KAMIINA and SCHADENFREUDE International was turned into a Falls Count Anywhere Match on a few days notice but everyone involved took to the idea like a duck to water. There was a lot of action that took place outside the ring, a castle of chairs that everyone crashed into and a lot of dives that happened over by the entrance stage. Takeshi Masada Power Bombed To-y into a stack of chairs and he tried to pin To-y on top of them but Yuki Ueno broke the count by diving into them. Chris Brookes then added extra damage to everyone by doing a Senton onto the pile of bodies. Even Bunbun got caught up in the carnage when Ueno gave him a Backbreaker and threw his mangled body high into the air for SCHADENFREUDE International to catch. Ueno then followed with a dive onto them. After that he placed Masada onto a table for To-y to do a Diving Body Press from the stage to get the three count.

The Danshoku Dieno Vs Kazuki Hirata bout was the only match on the card that did not have any sponsorship attached to it. For that reason Hisaya Imabayashi ordered Hirata to stop Dieno from doing anything vulgar so DDT can run a show in Ome again next year. The GM also did his part by staying at ringside to block Dieno from approaching any fans. It became too difficult for them to stop Dieno from being, well, Dieno so Imabayashi brought in a chair to attack him with. However Hirata stopped him and gave a speech about how a pro wrestler is as good as dead if they ever lose their individuality. Imabayashi didn’t agree and tried to attack Hirata with the chair. Hirata deflected him right into Dieno’s Hell Gate, knocking Imabayashi out. Hirata hugged Dieno but then tried to hit him with an Axe Bomber. Dieno dodged it, put Hirata in the Lip Lock and then pinned him with the Gaydo Clutch.

Shinichiro Kawamatsu wanted to win his match with the Axe Bomber he inherited from the late Hulk Hogan and even hit the move on Soma Takao. However Naomi Yoshimura knocked him out of the ring afterwards and pinned Makoto Oishi with the Hara-goshi. Kawamatsu revealed backstage he had tried several times in the past to set up a Hogan appearance for DDT but was never able to make it happen. He promised to continue working hard while thinking about what Hogan would want to tell the Japanese fans.

To-y is an ambassador for the area involved in a project that encourages people to relocate to the town. DDT often helps him out by providing a Falls Count Anywhere Match at one of the local attractions. Today was at a sports park where most of the match took place near the children’s playground. The town mascot Yuzutaro appeared during the match but opted to support Takeshi Masada, Yuki Ishida & Yoshihiko instead of To-y & Yuki Ueno. 1. Yuki Arai, Raku & Shino Suzuki defeated Miu Watanabe, Haru Kazashiro & Uta Takami when Arai submitted Takami with the Scoripion Death Lock (?:??).

The match turned into a big excuse to have a water fight on stage. Everyone armed themselves with water guns and brought buckets filled with water balloons to throw at each other and also the audience.

While not a part of the Tokyo Joshi Pro segment, NωA Jr. were also at Garafes for a performance of their own. During it they explained the rules of pro wrestling to the audience and demonstrated how matches can be won. Yuni just so happened to be the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion so when Kazuma Sumi put him in a Sleeper Hold that was too tight, Yuni tapped out and Daisuke Kiso declared it a title change! Shunma Katsumata then Super Kicked Sumi and pinned him with a School Boy to become the latest champion. Then later in the concert NωA Jr. chased each other onto the stage in the middle of the Momoiro Clover Z performance. Sanshiro Takagi was there too and he gave Katsumata a Stunner. Reni Takagi then pinned him to win the title. After that the rest of Momoiro Clover Z piled on top of her and Juri Suzue was declared the new champion.

4. Isami Kodaka defeated Takato Nakano with a Vertical Drop Brainbuster (12:44).
5. Best 2 Out Of 3 Falls Match: Ryuichi Sekine, FUMA & Ryota Nakatsu (2) defeated Takumi Tsukamoto, Kengo Mashimo & Ayumu Honda (1) (26:43).
5a. Takumi Tsukamoto pinned Nakatsu with an Ouchi-gari (15:53).
5b. Ryuichi Sekine submitted Ayumu Honda with the Let’s Combine (21:57).
5c. Ryota Nakatsu pinned Takumi Tsukamoto with a Back Roll Clutch Hold (26:43).

The Korakuen Hall preview was a Best 2 Out Of 3 Falls Match featuring the participants of both the Union MAX Title and Iron Fist Tag Team Title bouts. Ryuichi Sekine attacked Kengo Mashimo from the get go with FUMA and Ayumu Honda joining in the brawl. Meanwhile Takumi Tsukamoto did his best to block Ryota Nakatsu’s big moves and used an Ouchi-gari throw from Judo to pin him. In the second fall Honda was cut off by FUMA from giving Sekine an Arm Lock. That allowed Sekine to put him in the Let’s Combine to win this round by submission. In the final fall Tsukamoto aimed to beat Nakatsu again but Nakatsu caught him in a Back Roll Clutch instead to get the victory. The two got along after the match and agreed that they cannot wait until 3rd August. Honda also spoke out loud for the first time on a BASARA show but simply said he and Mashimo will take the Iron Fist Tag Titles from Hyakusho Ikki. Nakatsu called for all of the wrestlers to get into the ring for the end of the show and said it would be a big loss for the planet if fun things like BASARA disappeared. So they’re going to make the Korakuen Hall show a great one!

Isami Kodaka said it’s been a while since his last singles match with Takato Nakano but he could see how much he has grown since then. Kodaka is confident that if Nakano was at his mercy today then he isn’t worried that Aijin Tag can beat him and El Desperado at Korakuen. Nakano said whether his team wins or loses, the biggest thing in pro wrestling is presence. Masato Kamino pointed out that he and Nakano will always be together while Kodaka & Desperado do not have that kind of loyalty to each other. He is confident their strength together will win out at the end.
