1. Kenji Takeshima & Tatsuhiko Yoshino defeated SAGAT & CHANGO when Takeshima pinned SAGAT with the Techno Break (11:46).
2. Kikutaro defeated Ryu Gouma with a Russian Leg Sweep onto the Statute Book (9:43).
3. Tsutomu Oosugi defeated Daichi Kazato with the Tsuki No Ishii (8:15).

5. Takumi Tsukamoto defeated Hi69 with the Lightning Speed (12:19).
6. Isami Kodaka defeated Hiroshi Fukuda with a Manjigatame (13:27).

In the main event Isami Kodaka countered Hiroshi Fukuda’s Perfect Plex into a Manjigatame for the submission victory. Fukuda was left slumped in the corner after the match so Kodaka went over to find out what was wrong. Fukuda said he wanted medicine for gout. Kodaka told Fukuda he will help him fight the incurable disease! The conversation continued and they figured out if 3 out of every 10 people have gout then that means 30% of the BASARA roster has gout! Kodaka shook Fukuda’s hand as a promise to cure gout and that they will also have a rematch someday.

Kodaka called out FUMA at the end of the show and he came out with the rest of Kotetsu Gundan beside him. Kodaka calledd FUMA’s new look laughable and he declared war on the unit. He said BASARA had banned hardcore wrestling until now. Starting in April BASARA will have its first Hardcore Match and it will involve Kotetsu Gundan. FUMA said he felt like he just stepped in a land mine. When Kodaka said hardcore FUMA thought he meant hardcore punk rock. He’s not punk, he’s heavy metal! FUMA said he’ll look forward to the hardcore match and he’ll keep on rocking by slamming thorns and chains into Kodaka’s soft heart!

Hi69 was graceful in defeat. He praised Takumi Tsukamoto for beating him.

2. 3 Way Match: Ryu Gouma defeated Atsushi Maruyama and Rekka when Gouma pinned Maruyama with a Reverse-Style Splash (7:31).
3. FUMA & Madoka defeated Hiroshi Fukuda & SAGAT when FUMA pinned SAGAT with the HEAVY METAL ANTHEM (11:00).
4. Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title: Shiori Asahi (c) defeated Yusuke Kubo with the Aun (15:28).
*V4 for Shiori Asahi.
5. Hercules Senga & Tsutomu Oosugi defeated Ryuichi Sekine & Ryota Nakatsu when Senga pinned Nakatsu after the PICTURES (13:58).
6. Isami Kodaka defeated Takumi Tsukamoto with the Isamuashi Zan (16:57).

During the main event both Isami Kodaka and Takumi Tsukamoto threatened to use their weapons on each other. After an early lock up Tsukamoto went out of the ring and grabbed his massive hammer. Kodaka then grabbed his samurai sword. Kyohei Wada had to tell both of them to drop their weapons and apologise to each other. Tsukamoto later used his hammer to whack Kodaka in mid-air during a Tope Suicida spot. Tsukamoto apologised to Wada afterward. Kodaka avoided the Drake Driver and felled Tsukamoto with Knee Strikes and the Isamuashi Zan. The two wrestlers paid each other compliments after the match and Kodaka was ready to close the show when Hiroshi Fukuda and SAGAT interrupted him. With Fukuda speaking on his behalf, SAGAT challenged Kodaka to a match on 13th March. Kodaka accepted.

Cavalry lost to Speed Of Sounds in the semi-main event but were quick to ask for a rematch. It was refused with SOS citing that their enthusiasm isn’t enough to convince them. Instead two single matches were booked for 3rd March: Ryota Nakatsu Vs Hercules Senga and Ryuichi Sekine Vs Tsutomu Oosugi. Unfortunately reports came out after the show that Senga injured his jaw during the match and could be out of action for a while.

When Yusuke Kubo failed to win the Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title he was comforted by FUMA & Madoka. FUMA called him a true heavy metal samurai and asked him to join his heavy metal team. Kubo shook FUMA’s hand and grabbed a guitar. FUMA said a new metal warrior is now born and together they will take over BASARA! For the moment the group is called Kotetsu Gundan.

Fukuda isn’t a fan of FUMA’s heavy metal personality. Fukuda is more of a classic rock ‘n’ roll kind of guy. Same with SAGAT according to Fukuda. FUMA told them their long hair does not have to stop them from head banging. When FUMA went for his HEAVY METAL ANTHEM Diving Elbow Drop he yelled “I received a judgement from Lucifer!”

Fukuda & SAGAT Vs New Gen Combo and Kodaka Vs Akito were announced for the next Tavern Wrestling show held on 8th March.

1. Atsushi Maruyama & Tsutomu Oosugi defeated Daichi Kazato & Hi69 when Oosugi pinned Kazato with the Tsuki No Ishii (11:24).
2. Kikutaro defeated Ryu Gouma with a DDT (9:13).
3. Kazuaki Mihara & Koji Iwamoto defeated Hiroshi Fukuda & SAGAT when Mihara submitted SAGAT with a Camel Clutch (11:02).
4. HUB defeated Ryota Nakatsu with the Deadly Poison HUB Air Strike (12:30).
5. FUMA & HAYATA defeated Takumi Tsukamoto & Yusuke Kubo when FUMA pinned Kubo with the HEAVY METAL ANTHEM (17:11).
6. Isami Kodaka defeated Ryuichi Sekine with the Isamuashi Zan (17:05).

It took a while for Isami Kodaka to say anything after his match with Ryuichi Sekine. Finally he said “Tough.” Sekine could only muster up enough energy to say thanks. Kodaka said BASARA is still small but it is quickly growing with a show in Osaka already under its belt. They will light a fire in Japan and they will do a rematch in Japan!

FUMA continues to preach about heavy metal. Why did his team win? Because they came out to “Painkiller” by Judas Priest. Why did he pin Yusuke Kubo? Because he has heavy metal in his soul and it makes him the best in head banging. He offered to help Kubo find his heavy metal self and join his heavy metal band like Madoka and HAYATA have. Kubo said that despite losing every match in BASARA so far he has been reborn. But he admits something is missing, his losses prove that. He has a match with Shiori Asahi coming up in March. Asahi is the current Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Champion so Kubo will challenge him for the belt! FUMA will keep an eye on that match,

Hiroshi Fukuda has learned how to sooth SAGAT’s violent behaviour enough for them to work as a team. He tried to translate his grunts for the audience. Apparently SAGAT thanked the fans for coming to the show but that’s all Fukuda could translate.

Ryu Gouma tried to get Kikutaro disqualified for using foul and abusive language. Kikutaro DDT’d him onto his statute book.

Isami Kodaka Launches Pro Wrestling BASARA

October 18, 2015

basara-forms

Last week during the DDT Dramatic General Election results show there was a few news items about the aftermath of Union’s closure. The big news is the formation of a new wrestling organisation called Pro Wrestling BASARA. Led by Isami Kodaka, BASARA aims to rebel against the industry’s current regime with flashy wrestling. Kodaka was joined by former Union wrestlers Hiroshi Fukuda, Daichi Kazato, Ryu Gouma and SAGAT as the first wrestlers signed to the new brand. FUMA has also joined the group according to Kodaka. Kazato said he wants to dye his own colours into BASARA, SAGAT said he will work hard for the new brand, Gouma said he is here because BASARA was missing intelligence and compliance without him, and Fukuda said he wants to continue pursuing the wrestling he believes in and that involves the power of singing.

The first four BASARA shows will take place next year on 21st January in Shinjuku, 5th February in Saitama, 21st February in Osaka and 26th February in Yokohama. Kodaka said he wants to book shows in more rural areas in Japan and might do two shows a month if BASARA becomes successful. He will continue to promote the Tavern Wrestling shows alongside BASARA aswell as take outside bookings but the new brand is his priority.

Not everyone from Union is jumping over to BASARA, instead they have gone down different roads. Seiya Morohashi, Cherry and Lady Beard have all been signed by DDT. Morohashi said a lot has changed in DDT during the six years he has been gone. Cherry is happy to return to the company she debuted for and she is now a coach in a wrestling school DDT is associated with. Lady Beard is excited to work for DDT. Shuji Ishikawa and Mitomi Masayuki have both become freelancers. Masayuki wants to work for a variety of groups and prefers to take bookings on his own from now on. He thanked the entire DDT company for everything he learned during his time here. Yusuke Kubo and Daichi are both leaving wrestling. Kubo has gone back to working for DDT’s video production team while Daichi wasn’t booked much even as a part-timer.

6. Union MAX Title: Isami Kodaka (c) defeated Shuji Ishikawa with the Isamuashi Zan (23:46).
*V1 for Isami Kodaka.

After ten years of indie sleaze, Union Pro Wrestling has today closed its doors. The sub-brand was DDT’s bratty little brother consisting of hardcore matches and crazy stipulations amongst its small roster over the years. But with Naomi Susan leaving her role as the brand’s manager it was agreed that today was time for Union to end.

ishikawa-kodaka-max

The main event was between two wrestlers who have been with Union Pro since it begun back in 2005. Isami Kodaka defended the Union MAX Title against Shuji Ishikawa to determine who was the better ace of the promotion. Both believed that this was not the end but the beginning for every Union wrestler. Union’s founder Poison Sawada was in attendance for the match and he handed a bouquet of flowers to both champion and challenger. Isami kicked out of Shuji’s Splash Mountain Bomb but Shuji later kicked out of Isami’s Diving Double Knee Drop. Shuji hit a barrage of Knee Lifts and also a Rainmaker Headbutt. He attempted a Cross Arm Splash Mountain but Isami escaped and hit Sliding Lariats and Sliding Kicks to take down Shuji. Another Splash Mountain was countered into a Hurricanrana for a nearfall. The two traded Elbow Strikes and Isami got the better of the exchange. He hit another Diving Double Knee Drop but Shuji kicked out at one! Shuji blocked the Isamuashi Zan once but Isami wore him down and tried the finisher again, this time nailing Shuji in the jaw. That was enough to put him away and end Union with Isami as the champion.

union-goodbye

Isami was handed the title belt by Sawada and the Union roster filled up the ring. He called Shuji his older brother and said Sawada was like their father. Sawada congratulated both of them for becoming great wrestlers. He said there was no shame in Union ending on the match they just had. Ishikawa said he will now become a freelancer but he is disappointed he couldn’t win the MAX Title. He said his sweetness was his weakness today and he will work on becoming stronger when he wrestles in other companies. Everybody thanked the fans for attending the show and asked to continue supporting them wherever they go. Susan said that from now on everybody will be walking down a new road.

thankyou-union

One by one each of the wrestlers said their goodbye. Ryu Gouma said he spent the last ten years as a rip off of someone else (Ryuma Go). Yusuke Kubo said he developed a deep love of wrestling during his time here. Daichi said he was grateful to be standing here even though he was only in Union for a short while. Mitomi Masayuki said Union was where he was born and it will always be his hometown. Tomoya Kawamura, who could not wrestle today due to injury, said he was the last rookie to debut in Union and he was happy to be part of it. Hiroshi Fukuda said from now on he wants to fight the strongest wrestlers in honour of Union. Seiya Morohashi’s message was interrupted by the fans chanting “USA!” at Fukuda but he was able to tell fans to remember the “Love Muscle”. Cherry also said she hopes the fans will remember her because she won’t forget them. SAGAT said he came to Union as part of an experiment and it he lived the best life because of it. FUMA thanked everyone for their support and also for their future support. Daichi Kazato thanked the fans over and over. Sawada said Union wrestlers will never die. Susan and Ishikawa both said Union was the best. Kodaka finished the roll call by promising to stop crying. Let’s all laugh instead. The show ended with the combined cries of “3, 2, 1, Thank You Union!”

isami-sawada

The Union MAX Title is now sealed, at least temporarily. Kodaka may bring the MAX Title back some day but he thinks a new championship should be made if a successor to Union appears.

kazato-fuma

Daichi Kazato had a chance to kill off the King Legion for his final Union match. The unit would be forced to dissolve if Kazato could beat its leader FUMA. He came close when he hit the Sister Abigail but FUMA recovered and hit the Jawbreaker kick for the three count. FUMA grabbed Kazato by the hair after the match and lifted him to his feet. He then offered a handshake which Kazato accepted. FUMA said he was disappointed not to be in the MAX Title match but was satisfied to go against another Union made wrestler. There was no mention about what the King Legion will get up to now.

ohka-ohka

The 3 Way Tag Match had Ken Ohka and Mio Shirai reunite for one last time. The retired Shirai was in Ohka’s corner and wore a Ganbare☆Wrestling shirt to support him and Shinichiro Tominaga. Ohka also got to be in the ring with his replacement model Kengo (Mashimo) Ohka one more time. The King Legion benefited from the match going out of control. Ken Ohka got rid of Kengo Ohka with the Spear Of Flame but he then accidentally collided with his partner Tominaga. MEN’S Teioh capitalised and pinned Tominaga with a Jackknife.

cherry-ftehug

Cherry was happy to defend the Fly To Everywhere Title against her “best pupil” Masako Takanashi. She pinned Takanashi with an over-rotated School Boy she calls the Union Lock. Cherry has not decided what to do with the championship now Union has closed. She will take her time making her decision over the belt’s future.

union-memorialtag

A bunch of old faces returned to Union for a special series of tag matches. Seiya Morohashi, Hiroshi Fukuda and Ryu Gouma paired into various combinations to go against various wrestlers from Union’s past. Ricky Fuji and DJ Nira came out wanting to rock and roll. Gouma told them it’s 2015 and nobody wants to hear the old kind of rock music. Morohashi and Fukuda defeated Fuji and Nira while Gouma yelled “Rock ‘n’ roll is dead!” They did not fare as well in the second match against Sanshiro Takagi & New Sanshiro Takagi. New Takagi gave Fukuda a Stunner and old Takagi pinned him with the Sit Down Himawari Bomb. Team #3 was New Beijing Pro Wrestling. Choun-Shiryu & Cao Zhang came out with a giant tonkachi hammer as well as the lovely Princess Makoto. She distracted the referee with her charms so Zhang could hit Gouma with the giant hammer for the win. The next team was supposed to be Yusuke Inokuma & Keisuke Masuda but it was announced that they injured themselves during their pre-match warm up. Taking their place was the violent team of Gaijin A & Gaijin A! They attacked Morohashi, Fukuda, Gouma and even the referee with sellotape until the lights dimmed. God came out and he began singing badly while Gaijin A & Gaijin A hung the other wrestlers over the rope with sellotape wrapped around their necks. The match ended in a no contest. When all the tape was cleared up out came the final team A.YAZAWA and Mame Endo with Rumi Kazama. Everybody danced to Swan Lake until YAZAWA pinned the entire Union team with a School Boy to end the match.

kubo-mitomi

The show opened with some of the unsung heroes from Union. Mitomi Masayuki was a big signing when he turned pro but a car crash, some bad behaviour on Twitter and another serious injury wrestling elsewhere kept him out of the ring for a significant amount of time. Ryota Nakatsu only debuted last year as part of the DNA brand. Yusuke Kubo previously wrestled under a mask as Goro Jr. and only unmasked back in February. Daichi was a part timer with only a few appearances in Union under his belt.

I think Naomi Susan might still be working for DDT behind the scenes. She mentioned her decision to quit as Union’s manager does not mean she is retired from the pro wrestling industry entirely. She has in the past helped DDT bring in foreign talent.

5g. FUMA eliminated Daichi Kazato with the Diving Headbutt (16:40).
6. Last Man Standing Match: Shuji Ishikawa defeated Seiya Morohashi by KO with the Running Knee Lift Barrage (16:56).

In a Last Man Standing match between Union’s two beefiest men, Shuji Ishikawa came out on top. Seiya Morohashi survived the Splash Mountain but his Quarrel Bomber was countered with a Knee Lift. Ishikawa then spammed Running Knee Lifts until Morohashi could no longer answer the ten count. Ishikawa and Isami Kodaka met in the ring at the end of the show to talk about their Union MAX Title match on the final Union event in Korakuen Hall on 4th October.

The King Legion once more reigned victorious over Union, this time in an 8-Man Elimination Tag match. FUMA was the last man standing but Union’s last man Daichi Kazato did not go down without a fight. FUMA challenged Kazato to a match on 4th October and to spice things up he will put the fate of the King Legion on the line. If Kazato beats FUMA then King Legion will de dissolved.

Cherry regained the Union Fly To Everywhere World Title for the third time after beating Aoi Kizuki two falls to one. Miyako Matsumoto took part in the first fall because the goal was for either Cherry or Kizuki to pin her. The second fall was called a Rock ‘N’ Roll Death Match but music from Swan Lake was used rather than anyting rock ‘n’ roll. In the deciding fall Cherry pinned Kizuki with a special version of the Spring Night Love she calls the Union Lock. After the match Cherry said she wanted to face Masako Takanashi on the final Union show in the decisive battle between Union’s two female(ish) wrestlers.

Mio Shirai was pinned in her final Union match. She put GENTARO in the Figure Four Neck Lock but he countered the move into a pin for the three count. Shirai described the people she wrestled with in the match as a group rich with variety. She said her final match in Union was a good experience. She also got to give a closing speech at the end of the show.

6. Union MAX Title: Isami Kodaka defeated FUMA (c) with the Isamuashi Zan (16:55).
*FUMA fails in V4. Isami Kodaka becomes the 5th Union MAX Champion!

The King has finally been defeated! After months of dominating Union, FUMA lost his Union MAX Title to Isami Kodaka. FUMA had SAGAT trying to help with when he hit Kodaka with the Goregrind but it didn’t work. Kodaka fought back with a Sliding Lariat and hit the Isamuashi Zan to win the title for the second time. Kodaka mentioned Union only has two shows left before it shuts down and he has a selfish idea. He wants to put the MAX Title on the line against Shuji Ishikawa in the main event of Union’s final show on 4th October.

Shuji Ishikawa & Daichi Kazato fought two of All Japan’s best in the semi-main event. They lost to Go Shiozaki & Kotaro Suzuki but Kazato impressed them. In the post-match interview Suzuki said Kazato is an energetic, gutsy young man. Shiozaki noticed a kind of vigor about him. They both thought Union had a good atmosphere to wrestle in because they sensed unity between everyone invovled.

The Hardcore match between Mio Shirai and Jun Kasai was not pretty. Before the match began Shirai said she was prepared to win but she wasn’t the one who brought a barbed wire bat with her. Kasai busted Shirai open with a chairshot and also by rubbing the bat against her head. She fought back when she applied the Figure Four Neck Lock with the bat pressed against Kasai’s forehead. She kicked out of a Brainbuster and the Reverse Tiger Driver but was eventually put away with the Pearl Harbour Splash. Kasai told Shirai she showed a lot of guts today and he was amazed by the spirit she showed.

Last month Mio Shirai lost the Fly To Everywhere Title to Aoi Kizuki in Ice Ribbon. Kizuki came over to Union today to compete but Cherry wasn’t happy to see her. Cherry wants to be the Fly To Everywhere Champion when Union closes down so she challenged Kizuki to a title match on 15th September.

Ayumu Honda suffered a nose injury and was unable to wrestle in the opener. Gorgeous Matsuno took his place in the Judo Army. That’s not all, Pedro Takaishi from the old MUSCLE promotion was the mysterious fourth member. The Judo Army went against an alliance of Karate people and bodybuilders. Ryu Gouma didn’t know much about karate but he had a rulebook to help him. Unfortunately Hiroshi Fukuda threw him down and tapped him out.

5. Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title: Isami Kodaka (c) defeated Madoka with the Isamuashi Zan (22:14).
*V3 for Isami Kodaka.

The main event is said to be an exciting match between two wrestlers who have a lot of history together. Madoka even tried the Shooting Star Press which he has not used in years. After Isami Kodaka won the match he talked about himself and Madoka wrestling in K-DOJO together. Madoka was only 17 when he debuted there while Kodaka was 20. The two shook hands but FUMA then showed up to confront Kodaka. FUMA said the Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title has a great history but he should be main eventing shows because he is the Union MAX Champion. Kodaka challenged FUMA to a match on 30th August, Title Vs Title!

The Scramble Bunkhouse Death Match was as chaotic as expected. A barbed wire baseball bat was placed in the middle of the ring and both teams raced towards it from opposite ends of the room when the match began. Chairs and a steel chain were also brought into play. Daichi Kazato went hardcore by putting SAGAT through a table. But FUMA took him out wit a Brainbuster onto the pile of chairs followed by a PK with the barbed wire bat placed in front of Kazato. FUMA then hit the Diving Headbutt to finish him off.

Mio Shirai thanked HAYATA for teaming with her and said he was like a brother or step-brother to her. She complimented him for using her Tsuchigumo finisher to win the match and permitted him to continue using it. The move is a gift from her.

Almost everyone in the opener was dressed in appropriate clothing for the challenge between Karate, Judo and bodybuilding. Kazuhiko Ogasawara wore his karate gi as usual, Hiroshi Fukuda & Ayumu Honda were both wearing judogi and Seiya Morohashi & Macho Michaels both wrestled in skimpy bodybuilding tights. Only Ryu Gouma showed up wearing his normal suit. Gouma gave a closing argument that it was time for him to defend Japan from the dangerous threats of judo and bodybuilding. Unfortunately for him Judo won the day when Ayumu tapped out Gouma.

Kubo entered to a remixed version of his mentor Dick Togo’s song (I assume it’s “Insane in the Membrane”). He came close to winning with the Goro Suplex and Blowback but FUMA fired back with a combination consisting of the Sole Butt, Argentine Piledriver, Tombstone and finally the Diving Headbutt. That was nough to put Kubo away. After the match FUMA said that the King Legion will show their full power next month and challenged anyone to try and stop them.

With retirement looming on the horizon Mio Shirai made it her goal to win a championship one more time in all four companies she is under contract to. She already holds the tag team titles for both Ice Ribbon and Pro Wrestling WAVE. She also recently won the main championship in OZ Academy but was forced to vacate it after losing a stipulation match but that’s another story for another blog. All that remained was winning back the Union Fly To Everywhere Title. She had to go through Hibiscus Mii to do that and it wasn’t an easy task. The match featured plenty of Headbutts but Shirai prevailed and is now a Triple Crown champion. Shirai apologised for having a swollen red head because of all the Headbutts she gave and took.

In what was probably the weirdest recycling campaign ever, the UWA World Tag Team Titles were put on the line in an Empty Can Death Match. There were no countouts or rope breaks and every five minutes the fans in attendence were encouraged to throw their empty beer cans into the ring. The wrestlers were then allowed to use the cans as weapons. The Brahman Brothers still used their usual array of weapons like the suitcase, bowling ball and pig head. The dreaded black ink also came into play and blinded Masato Shibata long enough to be pinned, resulting in the title switch.

Madoka was nominated by Isami Kodaka to be the next No. 1 Contender for his Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title. The title match will be in Yokohama on 18th July.

The male wrestlers in Match #1 were penalised whenever they did not act like gentlemen towards the women. Daichi immediately lost 3 points at the start of the match when he entered the ring without Cherry. Hiroshi Fukuda smartly escorted Aoi Ishibashi to her corner to avoid the same penalty. Daichi lost another point for locking up with Ishibashi and messing her hair in the process. Meanwhile Fukuda punched Cherry but that was okay because it was ruled as an act performed on an opponent in a competitive wrestling match. Fukuda then used Ishibashi as a human shield for a top rope attack from Daichi. That wasn’t ok and he was penalised 100,000 points before getting pinned by Cherry.

Ryu Gouma participated in a special public training exercise at the beginning of the show. Kazuhiko Ogasawara came out with a baseball bat and challenged Gouma to break it in half. He struck Gouma in the shin everytime Gouma failed. Gouma gave up and Ogasawara dragged him to the back stating he will train him even harder.

When DDT was done for the day, Union took over Korakuen Hall for their Golden Week show. The main event had FUMA and Shuji Ishikawa battling each other in a ring filled with roses for the Union MAX Title. Roses covered everything from the ropes to tables and chairs. Despite getting help from the King Legion at certain points, FUMA proved that he deserved to be champion by taking everything Ishikawa threw at him. He kicked out of the Running Knee Lift, the Splash Mountain threw a Rose Board. FUMA escaped from the Fire Thunder that would have driven him into a pile of chairs. He Headbutted Ishikawa and hit Buzzsaw Kicks and High Kicks. Ishikawa kept kicking out until FUMA hit the Jawbreaker Kick and then the Diving Headbutt. That was enough for FUMA to earn the win. FUMA declared himself the only original ace of Union. Yusuke Kubo suddenly approached FUMA to tell him Union was still willing to fight. He had Hiroshi Fukuda and Seiya Morohashi backing him up. This sets up a 6-Man Tag Team match between Union and the King Legion to take place soon.

fistbump

Isami Kodaka successfully defended the Independent World Jr. Title for the first time with a win over Yukio Sakaguchi. Isami’s kicks were too quick for the challenger. Sakaguchi was able to block the Isamuashi Zan but Kodaka immediately followed with a Buzzsaw Kick followed by another Isamuashi Zan for the three count. The two fistbumped after the match.

baggy-pants

The 2nd Generation Muscle Sakai Final was between Hiroshi Fukuda and Super Sasadango Machine. The winner gets to be the next Muscle Sakai. Let that sink in for a moment… Hanging above the ring was golden baggy pants, American flag baggy pants, gray baggy pants and t-shirts from both wrestlers. The golden pants are important as that is needed to represent Muscle Sakai II. It was up to the wrestlers to decide their fate. When Fukuda climbed the ladder his thoughts were broadcast over the sound system. Would he abandon his own identity to become Muscle Sakai? A voice from Heaven told him not to. Antonio Honda pulled down Fukuda and helped Sasadango up the ladder. Sasadango had the same crisis of confidence but he was more concerned by which baggy pants looked more fashionable. He decided to pull down the golden pants. But as he put them on Fukuda rolled him over and locked in an Armbar, forcing Sasadango to tap. Fukuda was given the right to be Muscle Sakai II and to wear the golden pants but he refused when he found out he would also take over Sakai’s 35 million yen mortgage, all of his taxes and also all of his obligations towards Sakai’s wife and family.

sagat-kazato

The King Legion continued their dominance over Union with a win over three of their regular wrestlers. The match started off as a brawl but then settled down when the Legion took control. The combined experience of the Legion was too much for the Union Sekigun and SAGAT scored the victory when he choked out Daichi Kazato with a Sleeper Hold.

shirai-ohka

Ken Ohka returned to Union for the first time since last year’s Union Ganbare War. He was here to reunite with Mio Shirai one last time before her retirement later this year. Kengo Mashimo joined in the occasion by using the name Kengo Ohka once more. Sadly the reunion ended in defeat when both Kengo & Seiya Morohashi applied Crippler Crossfaces to Shirai & Ohka. After the match Ohka led the crowd in cheers for Shirai and also Ganbare☆Wrestling.

fte-mii-cherry

Hibiscus Mii has come from out of nowhere to win the Fly To Everywhere Title! Her new title reign now gives her a reason to travel from Okinawa to Tokyo more often but she would rather defend the belt in her home promotion Ryukyu Dragon Pro Wrestling.

madoka-ladybeard

Madoka again tried to get Harumi Tachibana to marry him. He asked Ryu Gouma for legal advice over the issue. Gouma told him that according to Article 24 of the Constitution, marriage is established on the basis of only the agreement of both sexes. Article 741 of the Civil Code says the marriage is invalid if there was no agreement. Ladybeard would face Madoka to assess if he was worthy of marrying Tachibana. As the two wrestled Tachibana asked Gouma for his law book. The two fought over the book and it lead to Gouma accidentaly striking Ladybeard when he pulled the book away with all his strength. Madoka capitalised and rolled over Ladybeard for the pinfall. Madoka again proposed to Tachibana but she dumped him for Ladybeard instead.
