A month after his return to pro wrestling, GENTARO made a surprise visit to Ganbare☆Wrestling to pay Ken Ohka a visit. At the time Ohka was down in the dumps after suffering another defeat. He was so depressed he even considered closing down Ganpuro. GENTARO, a man who spent the last year recovering and rehabilitating his body, slapped some sense into Ohka and then challenged him to a match. Will Ohka get his fighting spirit back?

Tatsuhito Takaiwa brought a Black Tiger with him at the last show to watch his back. He has been identified as Black Tiger V, which is odd because Takaiwa was originally Black Tiger V. Despite being told to stay out of the match, Black Tiger V still got involved and helped Takaiwa win. Shota has come to the defence of his home promotion and is surprisingly joined by former enemy Osamu Namiguchi. This all leads to a tag team match between the four next month.

Yumehito Imanari and Chikara will be teaming together on the show. They are now going by the team name Power Of Dreams.

3. Special Single Match: Shota defeated Tiger Bed Scene with a Frog Splash (12:36).
4. Love Hotel Acceptance II Vs Rikidozan III Again!!: Osamu Namiguchi & Chikara defeated Yumehito Imanari & Shinichiro Tominaga when Namiguchi pinned Imanari with the Lana Killer-X (12:16).
5. MEGANE Is Back!!: Megane defeated The Shooter with a Drop Heel Kick (8:23).
6. Special Match: Tatsuhito Takaiwa defeated Ken Ohka with the Death Valley Bomb (11:44).

Ken Ohka had an uphill battle to fight in the main event against the veteran Tatsuhito Takaiwa. Ohka entered the ring carrying a Ganbare☆Wrestling towel covered in his dry blood. It was the towel used to clean his wounds after his death match with Shuji Ishikawa last month. The former Black Tiger Takaiwa was accompanied by another Black Tiger and this one was not afraid to get involved with the match. Takaiwa caught Tiger’s interference and ordered him to stop because he did not need it. Ohka found his second wind and brought the fight to Takaiwa, even hitting the Spear of Fire. But Black Tiger pulled the ref out of the ring as he counted the pin. Takaiwa recovered and hit the Death Valley Bomb to escape with the victory. Takaiwa insulted the “shit organisation” until Shota stepped in to defend his company. He was then surprisingly joined by Osamu Namiguchi and together they challenged Taikawa and Black Tiger to a match on 3rd July.

When that was over Ohka said he was thinking about dissolving Ganpuro. After losing to Taikawa he wasn’t sure if the company should continue. Ohka was then given a surprise visit from GENTARO. Ohka was tackled to the mat and GENTARO yelled at him for considering to give up. He told Ohka that it does not matter if he lost today because he can always win his next match. GENTARO finally got off Ohka and challenged him to a match for the next Ganpuro show on 3rd July. They shook hands only for GENTARO to attack Ohka again until they were pulled apart.

Megane defeated The Shooter and unmasked him to reveal it was Atsushi Maruyama! Maruyama apologised for lying to the fans and promised he would never return to Ganpuro, even though that’s what he said last time. After the show Megane announced he would be travelling home on 3rd July and he thanked Ganpuro for the time spent together. He promised to return some day and will spread the word of Ganpuro until then.

Yumehito Imanari and Chikara bonded over their tag team match. They think they can achieve their dreams together. Ohka supports it because having the grandson of Rikidozan makes Ganpuro look major league.

The No Offline Broadcast Special Streaming Double Hell Match involved Shibata and Tanomusaku Toba having an MMA fight while wearing GoPro cameras on their forehead. Both fighters had their own devices for streaming the fight online. Shibata submitted Toba in the third and final round. Toba congratulated Shibata on Shibata’s stream after the fight.

The Drift Vs Smile Squash match is now for the All Asia Tag Team Titles. This time DDT really does have the official certificate signed by PWF President Dory Funk Jr. The press conference announcing the match was interrupted by All Japan wrestler SUSHI. Amon Tsurumi did not know who he was and he got into an argument with SUSHI over who he is. SUSHI then challenged Keisuke Ishii & Shigehiro Irie to a title match but was told he was too late. But Tsurumi suggested he could challenge the winners. SUSHI did just that. Ishii & Irie suggested he could team with Raideen Hagane. SUSHI got annoyed by the suggestion and left.

Due to strong demands from Sanshiro Takagi & Toru Owashi there is a change to their planned Six Man Tag Team match. Apparently there is a feud between Ultraman Robin and Konaka = Pehlwan that must be settled once and for all. Robin and Konaka will team with distant members of their families for the match. Robin has Takagi Robin & Owashi Robin on his team while Konaka will bring along Endo = Pehlwan & Takeshita = Pehlwan.

Shibata is a mixed martial artist who also helps with the broadcast of Ganbare☆Wrestling’s videos on Nico Douga. He approached Ken Ohka asking to join the Ganpuro roster and for the two of them to team together. Ohka declined to team with him but offered him an MMA match against a famous kickboxer. Shibata asked if it was Peter Aerts. Ohka said it’s not Aerts, it’s former DDT competitor and also video editor Tanomusaku Toba. I think based on the match name the idea is it will be streamed online.

Tigger Bed Scene is from SWS, a longtime student wrestling promotion.

9. Ganbare☆Martial Arts Open Tournament – Final: Tatsuhito Takaiwa defeated Shota by Knockout with the Death Valley Bomb (10:38).

This show was built around the Ganbare☆Martial Arts Open Tournament, pitting 8 fighters with different styles against each other in a playoff. Matches could be won by pinfall, submission, a 10 count KO or a 10 count outside the ring. In the first round Ken Ohka (Pro Wrestling) defeated Megane (Taekwando), Shota (American Wrestling) defeated Shibata Maeda (Mixed Martial Arts) and Yuki Shizuku (Amateur Wrestling) defeated Gorikiko (Judo). One of the unknown fighters invited to compete declined to participate, allowing Jr. Heavyweight wrestler Tatsuhito Takaiwa (Tai Chi) a bye into the semi finals. In the semis Ohka and Shota were both counted outside of the ring leading to a draw. The match was immediately restarted and Shota dove onto Ohka from the apron. The two were in danger of getting counted out again until Shota entered the ring before the ref counted ten. Shota celebrated his victory by getting the audience to chant “Yes!” over and over. Taikawa defeated Shizuku by submission to meet Shota in the final. Takaiwa then knocked out Shota with his patented Death Valley Bomb to win the tournament. Taikawa offered a handshake to Shota after the match but instead knocked him down with a Lariat. He took the mic and said he never wanted to be in the tournament and does not know Tai Chi. He called Ganbare☆Wrestling a scum company for lying about him. Ohka confronted Taikawa and challenged him to a match on 1st June.

Survival Tobita got his revenge on Dr. Kiriko in a Medical Human Dog Food Death Match, which I think was just a fancy name for a regular old death match involving medical items. The match was officiated by a special doctor known as Dr. Lin. Kiriko did some nefarious stuff to try and beat Tobita, even giving him an examination during the match. This backfired when he struck Tobita’s knee with a hammer and unintentionally got a Low Blow in return. Kiriko turned the tables and intended to kill Tobita with an injection but Dr. Lin came to the rescue and gave Kiriko the Rainmaker. Tobita followed up with a Piledriver to get the three count. As punishment for losing, Kiriko was unmasked to reveal he was Atsushi Maruyama, the former Tigers Mask from Osaka Pro! Maruyama then acted like he was saved from darkness saying that the school route he used to be scared of is now gone, the rain has stopped and the sun is starting to rise again. He also said he will not return to Ganpuro because of his actions.

FUMA put up a good fight in the main event but fell to Hikaru Sato’s strong submission game. Sato taunted Union afterwards saying the company really is a resting place for a “premium toy” like himself. Isami Kodaka confronted him but not until after he shook hands with FUMA and gave him some words of encouragement, saying he saw power in FUMA. He then called out both Sato and Ganbare☆Wrestling for their recent treatment of Union. He cannot lose to them and let down the rest of the roster.

The UWA World Tag Team Titles changed hands with Hiroshi Fukuda & MEN’s Teioh winning the belts from HIROKI & Yasu Urano. Teioh took offence from Urano when he questioned his condition and said he was passed his peak. Teioh, who was recently hospitalised proved Urano wrong by submitting him with the Spinning Toe Hold. Both Fukuda and Teioh celebrated by doing the World Men’s Club pose with their new championships while the fans chanted “USA!”

The Union Vs Ganpuro war continued with both sides getting one win each on tonight’s show. Shuji Ishikawa defeated Yumehito Imanari with little effort, knocking him out with a Knee Strike. Ken Ohka then defeated Cherry in a bout that felt like a grudge match. However Ohka told Cherry after the match that they are alike. Ohka fights hard to make Ganbare☆Wrestling a major company while Cherry fights hard to prove a woman her age can make it as a wrestler. Ohka then challenged Ishikawa to make their final battle on 18th May a death match!

The Idea Pocket Divas for this month are Yu Namiki & Tsubasa Amami. The winning team in the match get a double date with the Divas. Ryu Gouma is a little uncomfortable with the stipulation, believing it is a human right violation.

FUMA is looking forward to fighting Hikaru Sato. He is annoyed with Sato treating Union as a rest stop and is looking forward to beating him.

The Union Vs Ganpuro war continues with two key matches happening on this show. Cherry destroyed Ganpuro’s Gorikiko in a violent Judo Jacket Match that had to be held away from the public for safety reasons. She is pissed and wants to remind everyone that Union is more than just Shuji Ishikawa and Naomi Susan. So she steps in to challenge Ken Ohka to a match that nobody should miss. Meanwhile Shuji Ishikawa defends Union against Ohka’s second in command, Yumehito Imanari.

There are currently four entries in the Ganbare☆Martial Arts Open Tournament: Ken Ohka (Wrestling), Glasses (Tae Kwon Do), Shota (American Wrestling) and Aki Shizuku (Amateur Wrestling). I think Glasses is Ladybeard’s friend who accompanied him when he fought as Richard Burn. Aki Shizuku is a joshi wrestler from REINA. She has amateur experience and was a runner up in the All Japan Student Championships.

1. Kotaro Nasu defeated Fumihito Kihara with a Facelock (3:02).
2. Tanomusaku Toba defeated Yumehito Imanari by Knockout with a Straight Right (5:50).
3. Osamu Namiguchi & Kazuhiko Ogasawara defeated Shinichiro Tominaga & Tomohiro Otani when Namiguchi pinned Otani with the Lanakila-N (9:30).
4. Ken Ohka defeated Ganbare Tamagawa with the Flame Spear (14:10).

Even in defeat, Ganbare Tamagawa has been inspired by Ken Ohka to become stronger. Osamu Namiguchi & Kazuhiko Ogasawara confronted the two wrestlers after their match but was then cut off by Tanomusaku Toba. Toba challenged Ogasawara to a match and offered a handshake. Ogasawara accepted both. Tamagawa however charged at Namiguchi and the two had to be pulled apart. Both Toba Vs Ogasawara and Tamagawa Vs Namiguchi will take place in Saitama on 21st July.

Suddenly, Survival Tobita made a dramatic entrance. He does not take kindly to Ganbare☆Pro coming into his territory. Ohka and Yumehito Imanari challenged Tobita to a tag team match on 21/7. Tobita accepted and said his partner will be a Phantom!

Tomohiro Otani, the failed SMASH trainee was the person with the amateur wrestling background chosen to team with Shinichiro Tominaga to take on Osamu Namiguchi & Kazuhiko Ogasawara. Unfortunately for Otani, Namiguchi was too strong for him.

Lady Steel appeared demanding to know why she wasn’t booked for the show. She wants to be the Cinderella of Ganbare☆Wrestling and will beat anyone for the title. Ken Ohka gave her a new name, Gorikiko (meaning “Herculean Strength Steel”) and announced she will face Tsukasa Fujimoto on 21/7.

Even though Yumehito Imanari was knocked out, he told Tanomusaku Toba after their match that he had fun and wanted to wrestle him one more time. He even began to cry when he asked for the rematch.

Fumihito Kihara injured his left elbow during the opener.

Shota Vs Crusher Takahashi will happen at the 21/7 event.

2. 3 Way Match: Guts Ishijima defeated Tatsuhiko Yoshino and Tomohiro Otani when Ishijima pinned Otani with the Fisherman Buster (5:00).
3. Fighting Matsumoto defeated Lady Steel with the Miyakoko Clutch (7:46).
4. Kazuhiko Ogasawara defeated Yumehito Imanari by Knockout with a High Kick (8:49).
5. Shinichiro Tominaga defeated L.A. DIVINE with the Satan Doll (8:49).
6. Ken Ohka defeated Osamu Namiguchi by Disqualification when Namiguchi attacked the referee (2:55).
6a. Ken Ohka Vs Osamu Namiguchi ended in a No Contest after a brawl broke out between Ohka’s group and Namiguchi’s group (10:07).
