In a good move for speeding up Rukiya’s progression, he is heading over to GanPro for a match with Mizuki Watase. It’s the kind of match that will teach him how to wrestle while wearing his heart in his sleeve.

*Shigehiro Irie & Mizuki Watase fail in V6. Ryota Nakatsu & Takumi Tsukamoto become the 4th Spirit Of Ganbare World Tag Team Champions!
4. Yumehito Imanari, Keisuke Ishii & Shinichiro Tominaga defeated Shiro Koshinaka, Ken Ohka & Shota Kawakami when Ishii pinned Kawakami with the Kneel Kick (14:15).

What was supposed to be a fun day at Tokorozawa Park Town for Ganbare☆Pro has turned into a bit of an emergency because they have lost one of their championships to a rival organization! Ryota Nakatsu & Takumi Tsukamoto from BASARA have brought an end to Shigehiro Irie & Mizuki Watase’s title reign but plans were quickly put in place for GanPro to launch at rescue mission. After the main event Keisuke Ishii said he will go win the Spirit Of Ganbare World Tag Team Titles back and he will do it with either Yumehito Imanari or Shinichiro Tominaga as his tag partner. However Shota Kawakami stepped up and pleaded to team with Ishii, claiming he would have beaten him today with the Fisherman Buster if Ishii’s teammates didn’t come break the pin. Ishii asked the crowd for their opinion and their chants for Kawakami convinced him to make a decision. Michiyoshi Mishima told the pair to go get his championships back and Kawakami even suggested he can take one of the BASARA titles in the process! Meanwhile the new champs are inviting GanPro fans to come see BASARA because they think BASARA is more fun.

When Match #2 spilt to the outside, Aja Kong went over to the shop sponsoring the show Fresh Ariyama and grabbed some of their produce to attack her opponents with.

BASARA “BASARA 287 ~TAKAGARI 29~” Results

August 31, 2025

BASARA “BASARA 287 ~TAKAGARI 29~”, 31/08/2025
Tokyo Takashimadaira Kumin Center
??? Fans – Unannounced

1. Takeru Inoue defeated Shota Kawakami with a Tiger Driver (6:33).
2. Isami Kodaka & Keisuke Ishii defeated Lil’ Kraken & Munetatsu Nakamura when Ishii pinned Kraken with the High-Angle Double Arm DDT (7:59).
3. 4 Way Match: SAGAT defeated Daiki Shimomura, Takato Nakano and Yasu Urano when SAGAT pinned Nakano with the Goregrind (11:01).
4. Daichi Kazato 15th Anniversary Match: Guts Ishijima defeated Daichi Kazato with the Facebuster (11:09).
5. 4 Vs 4 Elimination Match: Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi, Masato Kamino, Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga defeated Ryota Nakatsu, Ryuichi Sekine, FUMA & Takumi Tsukamoto (25:51).
5a. Takumi Tsukamoto eliminated Masato Kamino by Ring Out (12:44).
5b. Banana Senga eliminated Ryuichi Sekine with a Jackknife Pin (15:20).
5c. FUMA eliminated Banana Senga with a Flying Armbar (16:38).
5d. FUMA eliminated Tsutomu Oosugi by Ring Out (18:01).
5e. Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi eliminated FUMA by Ring Out (18:39).
5f. Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi eliminated Ryota Nakatsu by Ring Out (24:21).
5g. Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi eliminated Takumi Tsukamoto with the Perfect Plex (25:51).

Even with having Speed Of Sounds and a masked Masato Kamino on his team, Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi wound up in a 3-Vs-1 situation in the Elimination Tag match. But through the skin of his teeth he was able to fight against the odds and become the sole survivor of the main event. After the match he explained Kamino wrestled in a mask because he was supposed to be Body Slam Machine but WizRYU needs to give him some fine tuning. Hiroshi then said on 31st October he will be the one wearing the Union MAX Champion! Backstage Ryota Nakatsu recognized Hiroshi as the “strongest foreigner” which means as a Japanese wrestler he cannot afford to lose the title to him. Also BASARA has recently rejoined Wrestle Universe with this month’s shows being added to the service so Nakatsu hopes new fans will get hooked if they give BASARA a try.

It’s been years since Daichi Kazato and Guts Ishijima have seen each other. So long in fact that when Ishijima saw what Kazato is like now, he remarked that he is nothing like he was as a high school student. At the start of the show Kazato explained his history with Ishijima to the audience. He was a high school student doing backyard wrestling when Ishijima found him and invited him to train over the summer. One of the things Kazato learned was a Dropkick that is so dangerous he was banned from using it. So today he was going to unban the move! During the match Ishijima was confused by Kazato’s wrestling style which included several moves backfiring. But Kazato’s unusual style made Ishijima more tired than a usual wrestling match and while that did give Kazato the advantage for a while, Ishijima ended up beating him. Afterwards Kazato said the match really brought him back to his routes and he would love to team with Ishijima sometime.

The rookie Takeru Inoue earned his first victory by beating Shota Kawakami and he did it all by himself!

The next Iron Fist Tag Tournament will be held later in the year. The teams entering are Ryota Nakatsu & Daichi Kazato, Aijin Tag, Hyakusho Ikki, Daiki Shimomura & Lil’ Kraken, Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Tsutomu Oosugi, Isami Kodaka & Takumi Tsukamoto, Takeru Inoue & Tomoki Hatano and Naka Shuma & Kyu Mogami.

5. Double Main Event I ~ Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Title: Masaaki Mochizuki defeated Yumehito Imanari (c) with a Dragon Suplex (12:49).
*Yumehito Imanari fails in V6. Masaaki Mochizuki becomes the 9th Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Champion!
6. Double Main Event II ~ Mizuki Watase 10th Anniversary Match – Fluorescent Lighttube Death Match: Jun Kasai defeated Mizuki Watase with the Cross-Arm Stimulation (19:24).

To celebrate ten years of being a pro wrestler Mizuki Watase dared to challenge Jun Kasai to a Lighttube Death Match. The reason for this was in 2016 Watase challenged Kasai to a Hardcore match at a DNA show and in the aftermath Watase wanted to challenge Kasai to a rematch with death match rules! The two lived up to their promise and Kasai quipped about how these matches aren’t easy while he was cutting up Watase with the lighttubes. He also dug some skewers into Watase’s head then sat down on a chair asking Watase to give the fans something exciting to watch. Watase then dug a bunch of skewers into Kasai’s head. Watase kicked out of the Pearl Harbor Splash as well as a Headbutt through lighttubes and also the Reverse Tiger Driver. Kasai had to pull out the Cross-Arm Stimulation Piledriver to finally get the three count on Watase.

After the match Kasai told fans the story about their DNA match. At the time he turned down the rematch because he didn’t want to see a young wrestler like Watase rush through his life. But Kasai is 50 now and is hitting his ceiling. He completely forgot about the death match request until Watase approached him to remind him of it. It impressed Kasai that Watase remembered it in a world where there are people who easily break promises to others. Since 23rd August is the anniversary of Watase’s pro wrestling debut, Kasai declared that 26th August will become the anniversary of Watase’s death match debut! When Watase heard that he quickly came up with a request to wrestle at the FREEDOMS show in Korakuen Hall happening in two days time. His request was accepted so Watase then called over to Michiyoshi Mishima and asked him to get Ganbare☆Pro four dates at Korakuen for next year instead of just three. Watase closed the show telling everyone that so many people had helped him in his first ten years. With the start of his eleventh year it is now his turn to help others.

Yumehito Imanari’s reign as Spirit Of Ganbare World Champion has come to an end at the hands of Masaaki Mochizuki. Everything that worked for Imanari in his recent matches from Lariats to Tiger Drivers to Lou Thesz Presses couldn’t put the Dragongate wrestler away. He was able to kick out of the Twister at one but and also block the Triangle Kick with a Lariat but a missed charge led to Mochizuki pinning Imanari with a Dragon Suplex. Mochizuki said he expected to win more easily but he understands how carrying the weight of a promotion on your shoulders makes you stronger. He then said as the new champion he is open to any challenge but he already has a first opponent in mind, Shuichiro Katsumura! However when Katsumura accepted the challenge, Ken Ohka entered the ring pleading to challenge Mochizuki first. Mochizuki called him stupid because he already beat Ohka back in April. He then said out loud that Ohka would at least need to beat Katsumura first to be considered for a title shot. Ohka took that statement to heart and said he will fight Katsumura and the winner will become Mochizuki’s first challenger!

The GanPro and FREEDOMS teams kept brawling with each other after Match #3 ended. That included Yuna Manase who was at ringside as GanPro’s flag bearer.

The debuting rookie Sentaro Motoshima is feeling nothing but regret over how his first match went. He knew he had a high wall to climb but he wanted to win and instead he tapped out to a Crab Hold. But he has an image of what kind of pro wrestler he wants to be. Since Munetatsu Nakamura and Shota Kawakami use flashy moves, Motoshima wants to go the opposite direction and wrestle a strong style similar to Riki Choshu or Genichiro Tenryu.

6. Spirit Of Ganbare World Tag Team Titles: Shigehiro Irie & Mizuki Watase (c) defeated Yasu Urano & PSYCHO when Watase pinned Urano with the Running Elbow Butt (19:25).
*V4 for Shigehiro Irie & Mizuki Watase.

After the main event Mizuki Watase brought up that he and Yasu Urano once fought each other for the King Of Dark Title, a championship that DDT awarded to the loser and banished them to the pre-show until they won a match. He noted that match was 16 minutes long and lasted longer than the main event of the same show that day. He also said after today’s show he is now certain who the main character of Ganbare☆Pro is and that’s everybody in the GanPro universe! As for the next challengers for Watase & Shigehiro Irie, they welcome anyone to come face them for the Spirit Of Ganbare World Tag Team Titles. They want to defend the titles at every GanPro show.

The semi-main event sparked a fire between GanPro and FREEDOMS when Takashi Sasaki interfered in the match to help Toru Sugiura & Dragon Libre. The GanPro wrestlers acting as seconds at ringside ran him off allowing Shuichiro Katsumura & Hartley Jackson to win one for the home team. Sasaki swore revenge afterwards and said he will fight GanPro any time.

Sadly for HARUKAZE she is leaving pro wrestling for now without ever winning a match at an independent GanPro show. She was persistent in trying to get Ken Ohka to tap out to an Arm Bar before switching gears to using roll up pins. Ohka couldn’t be beaten though and he pinned HARUKAZE with the Flame Spear. HARUKAZE asked everyone to make GanPro bigger so when she does come back she can win her first match there in front of a larger audience! Ohka said he believes she will be successful in life away from pro wrestling and when she does return they will wrestle together again.

Once the show was completed Munetatsu Nakamura, Shota Kawakami & YuuRI held a Ganbare☆Rally at ringside to promote the “YOUNG GANBARE SUMMIT” show happening on 10th May. Nakamura will be facing Mochizuki Jr. from Dragongate on the show and promised to beat him with a German Suplex. Kawakami called his opponents Kazumasa Yoshida & Ali Najima two big opponents so he and Shota Kofuji will show them a giant killing! YuuRI will be in a 6-Woman Tag Match and said no matter who she teams up with or fights against she will do her best in her own way.

Yoshiko Hasegawa will get to wrestle in GanPro one last time before her retirement. She will team with YuuRI & Riara to take on Yuna Manase, Moeka Haruhi & Banny Oikawa on 22nd June.

Now that the American shows are nothing more than a distant memory it’s back to having matches in Japan for everybody.

A special points system will be put in place for the two Akito Vs Kazuki Hirata matches happening this weekend. There is a ten minute time limit for each match. You gets 2 Points for every 3 count pin or submission victory. You also get 1 Point if the opponent gets counted out of the ring for 20 seconds. Wrestlers are deducted 2 points if they are caught cheating or committing a foul. Akito thinks he has too much of an advantage with these rules so he allows Hirata to score 1 Point every time he puts on Hirata GO! Glasses and 5 Points if he can complete his dance during the match. The scores from both matches will be combined and whoever has the higher score is the winner.

Loser Must Join DDT Match, 3 Minutes Impact, GanPro’s Korakuen Main Event

March 17, 2025

I won’t be writing up a preview for the show because I want to keep that to big arena shows and American events. So even though DDT is celebrating their anniversary on Thursday it’s still a Korakuen Hall show at the end of the day. Also I’ve had a busy St. Patrick’s Day and would like to sleep some of it off while I have the chance. The next previews I write will be for the Las Vegas shows next month.

Daisy Monkey look to be on the same page and so to are RakuPom. We also have Kyoraku Kyomei’s first match since winning the Princess Tag Team Titles. The team that isn’t together anymore is 121000000 because Miyu Yamashita and Maki Itoh have been put in different matches here.

6. Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Title: Yumehito Imanari (c) defeated Fuminori Abe with a Sliding Lariat (19:35).
*V3 for Yumehito Imanari.

A back and forth match between Yumehito Imanari and Fuminori Abe led to both wrestlers scrambling for pins multiple times until Imanari kept Ae down for the three count after a Sliding Lariat. Imanari praised Abe after the match for using the Fighting Detectives to pursue his ideals for pro wrestling. He is influenced by them so when Imanari becomes influential to Abe they can have a rematch. Abe usually dislikes it when he hears people say they will do their best but he understands where Imanari is coming from. Also if Abe knew what his vision for pro wrestling is he would have quit wrestling a long time ago!

Imanari’s next Spirit Of Ganbare World Title defence will be at Korakuen Hall on 11th April. As he was promoting the show Shinichiro Tominaga came down to the ring to challenge him. He has gotten three title shots in the past and failed every time but that is nothing to repeating his second year of university! Imanari talked about his past with Tominaga because he once filmed his student wrestling matches for a documentary. It was his first video project so they have known each other for a long time and can have a title match that only they can do together.

HARUKAZE announced that she will soon be taking a break from pro wrestling to go work in her father’s business. She told fans that she met with her 80 year old father over Christmas and he asked her to take over his self employed business. HARUKAZE turned him down at the time because she wanted to focus on wrestling and comedy. She then took some time to think about it further and realized she’s been living a bit too freely so she changed her mind and will go work for him after all. Her final match before her break will be on 5th May and she insists she is not retiring from pro wrestling. Until then she wants to win one of her last remaining matches. Yuna Manase told her that women who work hard are always accepted into Ganbare☆Joshi and that means HARUKAZE will always be a part of GanJo.

Today was Shota Kawakami’s first singles win and it happened close to the first anniversary of his debut match. On 5th May he will face his coach Shota in a match to celebrate that anniversary.
