Shinya Aoki’s winning streak in DDT comes to an end but the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title continues to be the hot potato it is meant to be. Konosuke Takeshita decided to wrestle the main event barefoot so he would be on equal terms with Aoki. He avoided being counted down for a knockout after taking a Guillotine Choke. Takeshita was able to get in control with his Horizontal Chops, knocking down the champion and leaving him open for the German Suplex to end the match. The two bowed to each other and shook hands. Takeshita said that Aoki’s strengths is different from the DDT wrestlers. He felt that from watching Aoki win his other matches in DDT for what felt to him like forever. He wants Aoki to soak in the DDT world even more. This is the current strength of DDT’s wrestlers and Takeshita made a promise to the fans that everyone in DDT will always prove that this way of wrestling is the strongest.

The match between Daisuke Sasaki and HARASHIMA saw plenty of action outside the ring. Sasaki wrapped a chair around HARASHIMA’s upper body and threw him chair first into the ring post. Sasaki later hit a Topé Suicida for more damage. However HARASHIMA escaped from La Mistica Cross Facelock and hit the Reverse Frankensteiner. With Sasaki stunned, HARASHIMA hit a standing Somato followed by the regular Somato to beat the KO-D Openweight Champion. HARASHIMA noted that his neck was hurt bad by Sasaki’s attacks but the cheers in the venue spurred him on to victory. He still has a lot of work to do to climb to the top of A Block but he will not give up. Sasaki however is starting to crack now that his chances of winning the block are becoming slim.

The styles of Tetsuya Endo and Sammy Guevara are so similar that Endo called Sammy his alter ego after their match. An alter ego that didn’t get Endo’s permission to use his moves. Endo did the Tetsuya In The Sky, Guevara responded with his own Standing Spanish Fly. Endo did the Shooting Star Press and missed, Guevara hit his own Shooting Star and won. Guevara doesn’t care who he has left to face in his block. He says he is the best not just in Japan but in the world!

Kazusada Higuchi is now on a three match winning streak after losing his first two tournament bouts. Not even MAO’s tricky wrestling around the entrance stage was enough to stop Higuchi’s momentum. A Headbutt, a Torpedo Lariat and a Choke Slam left MAO fighting for survival until he was eventually put away with the Doctor Bomb. MAO thinks this is the kind of match-up that will some day be on top of the DDT pyramid. They wrestled each other in DNA, it moved up to the DDT midcard and some day it will to move up to the main event! While Higuchi appreciates the sentiment for DNA, he isn’t spending his time reminiscing about the past. He has a Grand Prix to win.

Puma King countered Akito’s Figure 4 Leglock attempt into a Romero Special. By the time he applied pressure by locking onto Akito’s jaw and pulling it down, Akito gave up. King calls Akito a tough opponent because of his focus on attacking legs and knees. King was happy to face someone like that because it gave him a chance to show off his submission repertoire to the DDT fans. Akito hopes King will come back so he can learn those kind of holds from him.

Hakata Star Lanes will be temporarily closing down next April to undergo earthquake-proof reconstruction. DDT, Tokyo Joshi Pro and Big Japan will each be holding special farewell shows for the venue in its current state on 31st March.

The D-Ou Grand Prix rolled into Osaka for the next battle in DDT’s biggest feud. Konosuke Takeshita and Tetsuya Endo faced off one on one for the first time since the first Grand Prix in January. That one ended in a time limit draw but today there was a winner. Endo blocked Takeshita’s new Fable finisher with a Handspring Kick and later countered the move with a Sit Down Power Bomb. From there Endo hit the Swivel Torture Rack Bomb and pinned Takeshita with the Shooting Star Press. Endo told everyone that this was reality. He never liked Takeshita even when they were teaming together. Every time they wrestle he hates him even more. Endo then staked his claim that he will win the Grand Prix for DAMNATION. Not Daisuke Sasaki and not Soma Takao. His speech was interrupted when Nobuhiro Shimatani tried to finish it for Endo. Endo Low Blowed Shimatani to shut him up.

Daisuke Sasaki got back on track by beating the A Block leader Go Shiozaki, handing the NOAH wrestler his first defeat in the Grand Prix. Sasaki was in danger after taking the Strong Arm Lariat and a Fisherman Buster. But he escaped with the two points thanks to his flash Hurricanrana pinning Shiozaki from out of nowhere. Sasaki taunted Shiozaki after the match by lifting up the KO-D Openweight Title over him. Sasaki also has his confidence back with this win and thinks he is the strongest man in the universe. Even stronger than “that asshole” Thanos from the Avengers.

Two tournament trends continued today. Shinya Aoki winning matches in short times and the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title changing hands. Aoki is now a double champion in DDT after beating Soma Takao. This was his longest block match yet thanks to Takao’s dirty tactics like ringside brawling and a low blow. Aoki recovered from it to counter the Official Endless Waltz into a Triangle Choke to get the submission victory. Takao doesn’t accept the result and is telling everyone his B Block record is now 7-0. He only has 6 matches in his block…

HARASHIMA finally gets his first win, beating Akito by breaking out of the Perfect Figure 4 and hitting two Somatos. He doesn’t know what his chances are at winning his block after his rocky start but there is still something good to be found in winning his remaining matches.

The match between Mike Bailey and Masahiro Takanashi was promised to be a clean fight. At least Takanashi kept swearing to Bailey that he would fight fair. Instead he pounced on Bailey when his guard dropped. His tricks weren’t enough though and Bailey won with the Green Tea Plunge.

Kazusada Higuchi followed up on yesterday’s win over HARASHIMA by beating Puma King with the Doctor Bomb. He knew he was going up against a mysterious opponent but was confident he would be the stronger man. King is disappointed that his record will most likely make him miss the final. He wants the Japanese fans to see how powerful a wrestler he is but he might have lost too many matches to prove it.

5. Hardcore Match: Great Sasuke defeated FUMA with the Sasuke Special X Ver.10.2 (Imitation Prohibited) With TLC (24:31).

It was heavy metal galore in Shin-Kiba 1st RING for the second FUMA FEST show. Bands like Hellhound, Barbatos, Gotsu-Totsu-Kotsu, Black Sweet, Nihonto, Alice In Hell, Dragon’s Den and The Kandarivas all performed songs inbetween matches.

In the main event FUMA took on The Great Sasuke in a Hardcore Match. A ladder was laid down onto one of the bleachers for FUMA to do an Exploder Suplex onto. Sasuke got revenge by Power Bombing FUMA onto a table then Thunder Fire Bombing him onto a pile of chairs on top of the ladder. To finish it off Sasuke placed FUMA on the table, laid the chairs over him and stood the ladder beside him. Sasuke then hit the Sasuke Special X Ver.10.2 Missile Dropkick into the pile to get the three count.

FUMA thanked Sasuke for wrestling him today. He told Sasuke that he’s admired him for championing smaller wrestlers during the 90s and had been longing to wrestle him. FUMA took back what he said earlier this year when he accused Sasuke of blasphemy towards heavy metal for liking the band Anvil. FUMA now understands that Sasuke has had the heavy metal spirit inside him all along. Sasuke said “Hell yeah!” and they shook hands. FUMA then put his jacket on Sasuke and they sang together with the last rock performance from Hellhound. FUMA said FUMA FEST will definitely be coming back next year. As long as he is here, FUMA FEST is immortal!

Nakatsu Dickinson is Ryota Nakatsu acting like Bruce Dickinson. Abe Halford is Fuminori Abe acting like Rob Halford.

Former DNA wrestler Masato Kamino announced he signed a contract with BASARA on 1st December and will debut for the group on the 18th. Kamino didn’t get to wrestle much in DNA because he was plagued with knee injuries. At the time he was known for wearing a fancy ring jacket but he seems to have gotten rid of it.
