The D-Ou Grand Prix rolled into Osaka for the next battle in DDT’s biggest feud. Konosuke Takeshita and Tetsuya Endo faced off one on one for the first time since the first Grand Prix in January. That one ended in a time limit draw but today there was a winner. Endo blocked Takeshita’s new Fable finisher with a Handspring Kick and later countered the move with a Sit Down Power Bomb. From there Endo hit the Swivel Torture Rack Bomb and pinned Takeshita with the Shooting Star Press. Endo told everyone that this was reality. He never liked Takeshita even when they were teaming together. Every time they wrestle he hates him even more. Endo then staked his claim that he will win the Grand Prix for DAMNATION. Not Daisuke Sasaki and not Soma Takao. His speech was interrupted when Nobuhiro Shimatani tried to finish it for Endo. Endo Low Blowed Shimatani to shut him up.

Daisuke Sasaki got back on track by beating the A Block leader Go Shiozaki, handing the NOAH wrestler his first defeat in the Grand Prix. Sasaki was in danger after taking the Strong Arm Lariat and a Fisherman Buster. But he escaped with the two points thanks to his flash Hurricanrana pinning Shiozaki from out of nowhere. Sasaki taunted Shiozaki after the match by lifting up the KO-D Openweight Title over him. Sasaki also has his confidence back with this win and thinks he is the strongest man in the universe. Even stronger than “that asshole” Thanos from the Avengers.

Two tournament trends continued today. Shinya Aoki winning matches in short times and the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title changing hands. Aoki is now a double champion in DDT after beating Soma Takao. This was his longest block match yet thanks to Takao’s dirty tactics like ringside brawling and a low blow. Aoki recovered from it to counter the Official Endless Waltz into a Triangle Choke to get the submission victory. Takao doesn’t accept the result and is telling everyone his B Block record is now 7-0. He only has 6 matches in his block…

HARASHIMA finally gets his first win, beating Akito by breaking out of the Perfect Figure 4 and hitting two Somatos. He doesn’t know what his chances are at winning his block after his rocky start but there is still something good to be found in winning his remaining matches.

The match between Mike Bailey and Masahiro Takanashi was promised to be a clean fight. At least Takanashi kept swearing to Bailey that he would fight fair. Instead he pounced on Bailey when his guard dropped. His tricks weren’t enough though and Bailey won with the Green Tea Plunge.

Kazusada Higuchi followed up on yesterday’s win over HARASHIMA by beating Puma King with the Doctor Bomb. He knew he was going up against a mysterious opponent but was confident he would be the stronger man. King is disappointed that his record will most likely make him miss the final. He wants the Japanese fans to see how powerful a wrestler he is but he might have lost too many matches to prove it.

Changes To Non-Tournament Matches

Shunma Katsumata’s injury removes him from the undercard for the next two weeks. This leads to some changes in the undercard matches that aren’t related to the D-Ou Grand Prix.

6. BASARA World’s Three Big Singles Match ~FUMA FEST extra track~: HUB defeated FUMA with the Snake Knife Package Hold (19:14).

After the main event HUB told FUMA it’s been a long time since they first met in Okinawa Pro around 6 or 7 years ago. Today was HUB’s first match in a month because he was recovering from an injury. He was afraid to wrestle today because he didn’t trust his relationship with FUMA. He is delighted to be proven wrong and he thanked FUMA and BASARA for the match today. FUMA called the result a perfect defeat for him. His goal for a long time was to be good enough to beat HUB and he is now more motivated than ever to achieve it. HUB encouraged FUMA to continue on as the leader of the Iron Family. FUMA promoted the next “FUMA FEST” to the Osaka crowd and apologised to them that the only show of the “tour” is in Tokyo. He brought up the idea of bringing “FUMA FEST” to Osaka next year.

The Sento Minzoku team told Ryota Nakatsu he has to keep leading BASARA as the Union MAX Champion while Isami Kodaka is absent. They warned him it’s a big challenge and he should be able to take it. Sento Minzoku then attacked Nakatsu & Akiyori Takizawa until Naoki Tanizaki surprised everyone by coming to the rescue. Sento Minzoku fled and Nakatsu accepted their challenge. He wants BASARA’s strongest to join together. He knows this is sudden but Nakatsu asked Tanizaki to join his sider. Nakatsu accepted and we now have a new unit. Ryota Nakatsu, Naoki Tanizaki and Akiyori Takizawa will fight for BASARA against Sento Minzoku, the Iron Family, the Best Stretch wrestlers and so on!

Jun Masaoka is starting to win more and more in his BASARA appearances. This time he got the pin on Yusuke Kubo and that got under the masked man’s skin. Kubo attacked Masaoka after their tag match and the two had to be pulled apart.

Tanizaki played along with Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi’s yoga antics. It went to the point where Tanizaki worked as a base for Hiroshi’s stretches. Hiroshi ended up putting himself in position for Tanizaki to drop him with the Implant.

5. Yuka Sakazaki, Mizuki & Shoko Nakajima defeated Nodoka Tenma, Yuki Aino & Reika Saiki when Mizuki pinned Aino with the Diving Foot Stomp (13:32).

Yuka Sakazaki, Mizuki & Shoko Nakajima are now extra motivated to perform at DDT “RYOGOKU PETER PAN 2018” next week. They want Tokyo Joshi Pro to grow even more and leaving their mark in Sumo Hall will help them.

Hyper Misao revealed that her match with Yuu was now a Halloween Match. Both Misao and Daisuke Kiso dressed up for it and made fun of Yuu for not knowing about it. Yuu blamed Tetsuya Koda for never telling her. Misao tried to trick Yuu with some trick or treating but Yuu ended up pinning her with a Power Slam.

Priscilla Kelly has moved on from licking Miyu Yamashita’s face to kissing her on the cheek. She ended up luring Yamashita into the corner after the champion hit her with a High Kick. Kelly climbed the turnbuckles, stunned Yamashita with a Headbutt and hit the Osteoporosis for the upset. Yamashita thought she became familiar with Kelly’s shenanigans for tomorrow but today proved her wrong. She said she will go into tomorrow’s TOKYO Princess Title match more calmly because she can’t afford to be impatient against her challenger. Kelly said by pinning the champion today she proved she can do it again tomorrow. She can be stronger than Yamashita as long as she believes it.

Raku is happy to wrestle with Azusa Takigawa a few times before Takigawa graduates from Tokyo Joshi. Takigawa says she gets a warm feeling from working so hard lately.

HARASHIMA has sent Gouma Ryu to negotiate with Shinya Aoki over the exact ruleset to be used in the DDT Extreme Title match. Pro wrestling being as loose with the rules as it can be means nobody wants to leave anything to chance for this enticing match-up.

Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. FUMA Vs Great Sasuke

Something that has bothered FUMA for years was the period when The Great Sasuke came out to “Metal On Metal” by Anvil. That song isn’t heavy metal enough by FUMA’s standards so he wants to show Sasuke what real heavy metal is like!

Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi, Yusuke Kubo and SAGAT are also booked on the show. Bands announced to perform include Dragon’s Den, Hellhound, Alice In Hell, Collar Bone, The Kandarivas and Black Sweet. Hellhound will perform “Warriors Of Rising Sun” live for FUMA’s ring entrance.

Konosuke Takeshita is the third Mote Mote wrestler.

The battle of RENEGADES sees Shigehiro Irie face off against Mizuki Watase. There is no bad blood between them so this will be more of a chance for them to say goodbye to each other.

The new Sento Minzoku unit is already finding a list of opponents to fight. Ryuichi Sekine will no doubt want to see how powerful his friend Ryota Nakatsu has become since becoming the Union MAX Champion. They both vowed to fight each other to become stronger wrestlers. Fuminori Abe is too pure and well behaved to fit in with the unit so he has to become a rival instead. Somebody speaking on behalf of Minoru Fujita signed him up for membership but we’ll see if he’s really up for it.

6. Union MAX Title: Ryota Nakatsu (c) Vs Daiki Shimomura

A press conference was held on the 27th September to announce the full card. Daiki Shimomura is the first person to challenge Ryota Nakatsu for the Union MAX Title. Shimomura admits he doesn’t know much about the history of that championship but he thinks he will become an interesting champion because of that reason. He also wants to beat Nakatsu more than he wants the belt. It’s been two years since they last faced each other one on one in the DNA Grand Prix. Shimomura cannot wait to show how much he has changed since then.

The other news to come out of the conference also involves Shimomura. Isami Kodaka sent a written message explaining that he is recovering from both a fractured jaw and a neck injury. He is interested in seeing what interesting things will happen to BASARA while he is gone. Who will gain power? Who will behave differently without him around? He will watch from the shadows but will do so as part of a new unit called Sento Minzoku. Also part of this unit are Ryuichi Sekine and Daiki Shimomura. Sekine has now grown a monkey’s tail just like Shimomura and he will be the leader of the group in Kodaka’s absence. They have made an offer to Minoru Fujita to join them. A person with a bag over his head claiming to be Fujita just said he will turn BASARA into a lawless zone now that the general is gone. Fuminori Abe offered his opinion on the matter and said his behaviour is too good for him to join Sento Minzoku.

Stretchman Man is back to being Banana Senga so he can do the Reversal Wrestling Trial again.

In two days time Sanshiro Takagi will be holding a meeting with several Tokyo Joshi wrestlers to discuss the Forbidden Three rule used by the promotion. There is confusion over how established the rules are because they were never strictly enforced. The women also think the rules aren’t even necessary for the majority of the roster because most of them are adults.

Shigehiro Irie’s first non-DDT appearance as a freelancer is with Ganpro. This will be his second match for the group. The first took place in August 2017.

Irie is part of the YaroZ brand that has been feuding with BOYZ for the past year. Edojima even gave Irie instructions on how to wrestle during his match so he could fit in and appeal to the women in attendance. Some of the instructions included Irie doing a Sling Blade and the High Fly Flow. Edojima complimented Irie after the match and said it was like watching New Japan and Big Japan in a BOYZ ring.

5. Nonoko & Ai Shimizu defeated Miyu Yamashita & Shoko Nakajima when Shimizu pinned Nakajima with the Fishergirl Bomb (14:17).

Ai Shimizu gave a speech after the main event thanking everybody for making the first Tokyo Joshi Pro show in Osaka a success. She also talked about her upcoming graduation from Tokyo Joshi on 2nd April. Because of her age she felt like a mother watching everybody in Tokyo Joshi grow into cute and energetic people with rich personalities.

Yuka Sakizaki requested for her match with Azusa Takigawa to be a Takoyaki Russian Roulette Death Match. Music would play during the match and when it stopped both girls would have to eat a takoyaki ball. The roulette came in the form of one of the balls being filled with wasabi. Sakizaki wound up eating the wasabi takoyaki. Takigawa grabbed a bottle of water to help her but was tricked into being pinned with a Backslide.

Rika Tatsumi refused to shake hands with Marika Kobashi at the start of their bout.
