In his third attempt, Takumi Tsukamoto has become the new Union MAX Champion! After the match the former champion Fuminori Abe admitted he never felt more frustrated after a loss. He was able to do so much as the MAX Champion and it today he was reminded there is somebody out there stronger than him. He remembered when he won the title from Masahiro Takanashi under unfortunate circumstances. The BASARA fans still supported him and still treated him like a deserving champion. He knows they will continue to support him so he will be 100 million times stronger when he fights Tsukamoto again in order to win the belt back! Tsukamoto said that BASARA is just about to become 5 years old. It is still an immature and developing promotion just like he is still an immature and developing human being. He burst into tears from the crowd cheering him and joked about being a crybaby. He promised to devote himself to being Takumi Tsukamoto in order to get even more stronger.

One of the IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT semi-finals is set. IRON PRIEST will take on Isami Kodaka & Daiki Shimomura for a spot in the final on 7th December. It is the rematch of last year’s final and Shimomura wants revenge!

In the week leading up to the show, FUMA announced the Iron Family was disbanding and a new unit will replace it. The new unit is called Asian Kung Fu Revolution because the roots of both yoga and heavy metal can be found in Asia. FUMA, Yusuke Kubo, Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Daichi Kazato are the members of this group.

Daichi Kazato fought using the power of Best Stretchman V3 but it wasn’t enough to defeat Speed Of Sounds. After the match, Kazato announced he was retiring the Best Stretchman gimmick. He asked Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi and FUMA if they could all be in the same unit together because they have known each other going all the way back to their days in Union Pro. FUMA isn’t sure if that would be the right choice for Kazato. He wants to see what Kazato has got first before The Iron Family makes their decision.

Takumi Tsukamoto became the No. 1 Contender and will get a Union MAX Title shot on 10th November. Fuminori Abe has never beaten Tsukamoto but he is confident he will make him submit. Tsukamoto told him he has never given up anything in his life. Abe promised to take Tsukamoto’s “give up virginity” on 10th November.

The 2020 IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT will take place in November and December. Round 1 will take place on the 10th and 14th November. The semi finals will be on 7th December and the final will be on 22nd December. The winning team will challenge Speed Of Sounds for the IRON FIST TAG Titles at a later date.

Chris Brookes defended the DDT UNIVERSAL Title against one half of Nautilus so now he takes on the other half. Yuki Ueno took offence to Brookes calling Naomi Yoshimura weak after beating him. Ueno then took more offence when Brookes suggested he is weaker than Yoshimura. He wants to shut Brookes up and take his title. Might even end up becoming a triple crown champion along with the two tag titles when all is said and done

The motivation levels for Akito and Danshoku Dieno seem to be going in opposite directions this year. Akito’s has been rising to the point where he became a Vice President of CyberFight. Dieno is still able to come up with ideas but has he passed his creative peak? A match between the two will provide a barometer for where both will stand in DDT.

The participants for the 2021 D-Ou Grand Prix will be revealed on this show.

Saki Akai only wrestles in Tokyo Joshi Pro once or twice a year because DDT is her priority. For her 2020 appearance she will face Hyper Misao in a first time singles meeting. They were on opposite sides of a tag match once in 2015 but I think that may have been retconned into Akai getting replaced by Sakisama for some reason. Oh and there was also the storyline with that Saki Akamiya girl. Whatever happened to her? But enough about that.

Yuna Manase will be on the show. This will be her first appearance in Tokyo Joshi since leaving the promotion back in July. Look at her getting to wrestle everywhere!

There was a big upset in Match #3 when Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino defeated FUMA & SAGAT. The finish saw Kamino score the pin on FUMA, without a doubt the biggest in his career. This happened because FUMA hit SAGAT by mistake and SAGAT hit him with a Spear in response. This left FUMA open for Kamino to Lariat him for the victory. Afterwards trouble brewed when FUMA and SAGAT got into a fight. The Iron Family came out to break them up. FUMA left with the rest of the Iron Family but SAGAT stayed in the ring on his own. Sparky members Ryota Nakatsu & Akiyori Takizawa then came out and shook hands with SAGAT. They all left the ring together.

Nakano & Kamino challenged Speed Of Sounds for the IRON FIST TAG Titles after the main event.

Ultimate Hangover, Omega Comments, New Title Matches, MMA Shrek

A couple days rest then everyone gets back on the grind. But first, Kenny Omega had a lot to say following his return appearance to DDT. He was happy with yesterday’s match and would like to wrestle in DDT again, preferably in mixed tag matches if DDT can provide the teams for him. He also has some opinions on two wrestlers in particular: Konosuke Takeshita and Tetsuya Endo. He said Takeshita has grown big and Endo has a bodybuilder physique but he couldn’t sense any heart from their performances. They wrestle the same as they did five years ago when Omega left DDT. How can they compare to the elite wrestlers from around the world that Omega faces regularly? How can they ever win something as great as an IWGP or G1 victory? How well do they do outside of Tokyo? Omega kind of feels like a father disappointed in his children. Between today’s comments and his tense behavior towards HARASHIMA yesterday it seems like Kenny is kicking a hornet’s nest in his old stomping grounds.

With no clear contender in sight for HARASHIMA, his first KO-D Openweight Title defence will be against the winner of a 6 person Gauntlet match. HARASHIMA chose the six wrestlers and wanted to put a focus on the younger generation.

Nobuhiro Shimatani will be ending his contract with DDT on 8th November. He will continue wrestling in DDT but will do so as a freelancer from now on. To mark the end of his contract, Shimatani will be facing against the other members of DAMNATION in a 4 Vs 1 match. Shimatani was unhappy to take the loss at “ULTIMATE PARTY 2019!” and made the decision to take his career in a new direction. That may mean he will leave DAMNATION too.

Originally Koharu Hinata was booked for the show but she is now unable to appear. In a completely unrelated matter Miss Koharu became available so she takes her place.

Isami Kodaka refused to take the loss in the main event and acted like the result was a fluke. Yasu Urano gladly told Kodaka that his team lost. Takato Nakano was also thrilled. Not only did he just win his first championship but he got it by pinning his generational rival Daiki Shimomura.

Kodaka announced that this year’s IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT will take place in October. BASARA will be holding two shows in one day at Oji BASEMENT MON☆STAR. Kodaka wants the opening rounds to take place on those shows The semi-finals and final will be held at BASARA’s monthly Banquet show in Shin-Kiba 1st RING.

The Iron Family won their special match series today two matches to one. After SAGAT won his match he described it as momentum going into his Union MAX Title shot.

Daichi Kazato wore the Best Stretchman V3 hood whenever he needed a boost. But Yusuke Kubo pulled it off while he applied Bull Nakano’s old submission hold the Bull’s Angelito. Without the extra power aiding him, Kazato gave up.

The American indy Game Changer Wrestling is currently making a splash in Japan and a visit to BASARA was on the cards for one G-Raver. The reason was simple, G-Raver wanted to avenge a loss to Isami Kodaka he suffered in GCW last year. The BASARA fans welcomed him with GCW chants but Kodaka was not so friendly towards him. The two sat down on chairs and hit each other with steel cans until Raver got busted open. Raver took over and put Kodaka through a table with a Diving Body Press out of the ring. A ladder came into play and Raver gave Kodaka a Suplex from the top of it. In the end Kodaka got the victory by hitting the Isamiashi Zan kick. Kodaka told G-Raver that he has beaten him twice now but is not against fighting him a third time. He called everyone in GCW crazy guys who came to Japan because they wanted to shed blood over here. He praised them for being a really crazy and good organisation. Kodaka & G-Raver shared beers and had a toast to GCW.

SAGAT was the last man standing in the Elimination Tag match. That was a big surprise for Ryuichi Sekine because he thought SAGAT was done for when he was knocked onto the edge of the apron. SAGAT fought back and stunned Sekine with a Headbutt. He then got back into the ring and hit Sekine from behind with the Goregrind for the upset win. SAGAT challenged Sekine to a Union MAX Title match afterwards.

Fuminori Abe was brought to wrestling court charged with lying about his education when he applied to join BASARA. He claimed to be a high school student when he is allegedly a junior high school student. Gouma Ryu defended Abe by saying he is a monk (he was dressed as one) so he does not do scams. Abe explained he attended high school at 16 but got suspended after a motorcycle accident. He dropped out of school three months later. Ryu and Banana Senga attacked Abe over this new found information but Abe fought both of them off. He then revealed that since dropping out he eventually returned to high school and graduated with a communications degree. The court declared him not guilty.
