Daisuke Sasaki came out at the start of the show to announce he was defending the MAX Lucha Libre Maximo Title against Johnny Gargano. He was told that wasn’t happening and Masa Takanashi is his opponent. Takanashi came out and suggested a double title match with his SPW South East Asia Title also on the line. Sasaki accepted but only if they fought in a 60 minute Ironman match. Amon Tsurumi was worried they wouldn’t be able to fit a 60 minute match into the show but agreed to give it a 30 minute time limit after the crowd reacted positively to the stipulation. Sasaki took the first two falls with two of his finishing holds. But Takanashi scored a point when he countered the NOW OR NEVER into a Cradle. Sasaki tried to increase the lead by getting Takanashi counted out. He gave him a Brainbuster on the floor and also a Super Elbow Drop while Takanashi was sitting on a chair. Takanashi somehow found it in him to Cradle Sasaki again and even the score 2-2. The final minute had both wrestlers trying to roll up and cradle each other for a flash 3 count but the time expired with no winner determined. Both Sasaki and Takanashi had to be helped out to the back but they both yelled “Remember this!” to each other as they left.

HARASHIMA and Kazusada Higuchi had a staredown after Match #5. Tomomitsu Matsunaga stepped in between them to remind HARASHIMA he has a Right To Challenge contract.

The World’s Cutest Tag Team want a rematch with Sasaki & Shuji Ishikawa. Joey Ryan wants another shot at winning the KO-D Tag Team Titles while Candice LeRae just wants to beat the shit out of Sasaki.

Konosuke Takeshita will face HUB in Yodogawa on 22nd May. The match was put together by Yukinori Matsui when during an after show drinking party last December a drunk Takeshita told Matsui he became a pro wrestler so he could meet zero (HUB’s old gimmick). Matsui was moved by the story and wanted to make it happen.

Gorgeous Matsuno and his partner Junko Tashiro performed songs in the ring in between matches throughout the show. Before the main event Keisuke Ishii, Shigehiro Irie & Kouki Iwasaki were all backstage talking about beating up Matsuno so one of them could sing a duet with Tashiro. Elswhere Tashiro wished Matsuno luck in the main event. Matsuno said he will work hard for the sake of Fukushima. With the help of HARASHIMA & Yasu Urano, Matsuno was able to win the match for his team. After the match Matsuno spoke about the earthquake that happened in Japan five years ago. Today he was nervous because he was wrestling strong opponents but he remembered he is blessed with wonderful friends and that gave him the courage to go and win for Fukushima. He will be turning 55 years old next but that doesn’t mean he will let the younger wrestlers beat him. The show ended with him and Tashiro performing a duet together.

This was Masa Takanashi’s first appearance in DDT since winning the SPW South East Asian Title in Singapore. Yukio Sakaguchi danced with Kazuki Hirata before kicking his head off.

Antonio Honda apologised to the audience, mainly the children, for the ugly scenes on show by Danshoku Dino & Makoto Oishi during Match #4. Dino & Oishi had their tights pulled down and wrestled bare assed for most of the match.

Daisuke Sasaki declared that his strongest challenger has arrived and he must defend the MAX Lucha Libre Maximo Title against him. The “strongest challenger” is his old tag partner and face of the King Of Dark Title lineage, Gota Ihashi.

Kota Umeda had to miss the show due to injury. Johnny Edojima made the unusual call to bring in Shigehiro Irie as Umeda’s replacement. Irie is part of the YaroZ brand that has been feuding with BOYZ for the past year. Edojima even gave Irie instructions on how to wrestle during his match so he could fit in and appeal to the women in attendance. Some of the instructions included Irie doing a Sling Blade and the High Fly Flow. Edojima complimented Irie after the match and said it was like watching New Japan and Big Japan in a BOYZ ring.

The main event became unexpectedly heated at the start when Keisuke Ishii went after Kouki Iwasaki with a chair at ringside.

Daisuke Sasaki convinced Johnny Edojima to grant him a MAX Lucha Libre Maximo Title defence on the show. Sasaki called himself a crazy entertainer for the people. He shook Mizuki Watase’s hand after their match but then kicked him out of the ring.

Guanchulo wrestled in a new green monster styled wrestling costume.

The BOYZ uniform for this show was “Spring Erotic Freshman” themed suits.

The main event was the last warm up match for HARASHIMA and Shigehiro Irie before their No. 1 Contender bout on 28th February. Things were even between them so it was up to Keisuke Ishii to win the match by pinning Yasu Urano with a Frankensteiner. HARASHIMA and Irie stared each other down after the match.

The show took place in Makoto Oishi’s home of Shizuoka and he was introduced as the local hero. Unfortunately the homecoming ended badly when Oishi had his face pushed into Danshoku Dino’s ass and was then pinned by Shunma Katsumata.

Daisuke Sasaki attacked Hiroshi Fukuda at the start of the show in protest for their match being a non-title bout. Amon Tsurumi refused to put Sasaki’s MAX Lucha Libre Title on the line until Fukuda asked for it.

Kazuki Hirata again pinned Kouki Iwasaki with the Miracle One Shot Cradle. Hirata told Iwasaki it was a genuine three count and it proves he and the rest of the DNA team are not qualified for a KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match at Korakuen Hall later this month. Iwasaki said he and his team will be prepared in Korakuen.

Match #2 started with Toru Owashi and Kazusada Higuchi squaring off to see who was better at sumo. Sanshiro Takagi interrupted and said Lucha Libre was better. Owashi agreed and the match turned into Lucha Vs Sumo. Lucha won on this day.

In the main event Antonio Honda got a much needed boost of momentum by beating Yasu Urano. Afterwards Honda spoke about recently turning 38 years old and compared it to The Walking Dead. He’s been in a pessimistic mood as if he was in a world filled with zombies. Even if he gets rid of the zombies he never knows when he could die and turning 38 makes him feel like he’s one step closer to death. However last year he had a good time wrestling against younger people like Kazuki Hirata and Akito, especially his match with Akito for the DDT Extreme Title. It was moments like them that reminds him why he is dedicated to pro wrestling. He invited the rest of Happy Motels into the ring and told them, the referee and the audience to embrace these moments with him. In the post-match interview Honda brought up The Walking Dead again and explained that wrestling Urano was like fighting a zombie. No matter how hard he hit him he always came back. The only way to beat him was to shoot him through the head. But since he had no guns he had to use the Bionic Elbow and Diving Fist Drop instead.

Shigehiro Irie continues to steam roll through his opponents. His only thoughts right now are beating HARASHIMA later this month and his recent victories are keeping him sharp.

Kota Umeda confronted Amon Tsurumi at the start of the show asking if he could be inserted into the KO-D No. 1 Contender’s Match on 28th February after he beats Isami Kodaka. Tsurumi told him that would be impossible but relented when Umeda threatened him. Umeda was happy with the decision and now more motivated for his match. Unfortunately he couldn’t beat Kodaka and the KO-D Openweight Champion now has a clean sweep over Shuten-dōji in singles matches except for KUDO. Kodaka said he will wait for KUDO to return.

In a non-title match T2Hide were able to beat their upcoming challengers from DNA. Kazuki Hirata told the DNA wrestlers to do their best training because the match result will be the same at Korakuen Hall. Kouki Iwasaki was annoyed that he was pinned from a Cradle and is determined not to let that happen again when the titles are on the line.

Daisuke Sasaki interrupted the opening announcements to demand his match with Makoto Oishi to be a MAX Lucha Libre Maximo Title Match. He beat Oishi to add another successful title defence to his reign. Backstage Sasaki accused DDT of probably being behind a conspiracy to not book title defences for him.

6. HARASHIMA, Akito & Yasu Urano defeated Keisuke Ishii, Shigehiro Irie & Soma Takao when HARASHIMA pinned Ishii with the Somato (16:30).

Shigehiro Irie had to be held back from HARASHIMA after the main event.

Guanchulo failed to bring the MAX LUCHA LIBRE Maximo Title back to Chile. Daisuke Sasaki gave him an Avalanche Pedigree followed by the Cross Facelock to win. He offered a handshake after the match but pulled back to insult Guanchulo. The act made Shunma Katsumata angry at ringside. Guanchulo said he felt like a wimp but training in DNA will make him stronger.

Tetsuya Endo had to miss the show when it was suspected he had acute enteritis. Danshoku Dino & Makoto Oishi didn’t care and turned their match against the New Gen Combo into a Handicap Match against Konosuke Takeshita. Dino also talked about wanting to “collect a lot of ass” so he can beat Akebono in Sumo Hall next month. Takeshita was able to win when he pushed Oishi’s face into Dino’s ass and then German Suplexed him. Takeshita said he worked hard to make up for Endo’s absence.

Kouki Iwasaki asked T2Hide to recognise the DNA team’s talent and give them a KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Title match. Amon Tsurumi agreed that they deserve a shot for beating two thirds of the champions. Sanshiro Takagi refused because he felt they aren’t experienced enough but Kazuki Hirata stepped in and accepted the challenge. Hirata wants revenge for being pinned by his junior, Iwasaki. The match will take place in Korakuen Hall on 28th February.

Two new teams formed during the first BASARA show. Ryuichi Sekine & Ryota Nakatsu bonded pretty quickly. FUMA wants to bond with Madoka over heavy metal but Madoka hasn’t noticed him much.

1. Kengo Takai & Toru Sugiura defeated Akito & Michio Kageyama when Takai pinned Kageyama with a Lariat (10:09).
2. Time Difference Tag Battle Royal: Tsutomu Oosugi & Hercules Senga defeated Madoka & PSYCHO, Boso-Boy Raito & DJ Nira, Isami Kodaka & Shiori Asahi, Konaka = Pale One & Shota, Toru Owashi & Danshoku Dino and Daigoro Kashiwa & TEPPEI (17:01).
2a. Konaka = Pale One & Shota eliminated Boso-Boy Raito & DJ Nira when Konaka submitted Nira with a Figure Four Leg Lock (6:38).
2b. Toru Owashi & Danshoku Dino eliminated Madoka & PSYCHO when Owashi threw PSYCHO out of the ring (8:37).
2c. Tsutomu Oosugi & Hercules Senga eliminated Konaka = Pale One & Shota when Oosugi knocked both Konaka & Shota out of the ring (10:35).

4. Shuji Ishikawa & Quiet Storm defeated Yuji Hino & Hiroshi Fukuda when Ishikawa pinned Fukuda with the Running Knee Lift (10:32).
5. Atsushi Maruyama defeated Yuki Sato with the Delfin Special II (11:51).
6. HARASHIMA & Antonio Honda defeated Yasu Urano & Hi69 when Honda pinned Urano with the Diving Fist Drop (21:54).

Yasu Urano celebrated 15 years in the business. His career began in K-DOJO and included a stay in Puerto Rico. He didn’t wrestle in DDT until 2007. He was eventually nicknamed the Philosopher Of The Ring for the speed and quality of his pin holds and Cradle attacks. For the main event Urano chose to team with Hi69 in a losing effort against HARASHIMA & Antonio Honda. All three became close friends with Urano over time. After the match Urano invited all of the wrestlers into the ring and thanked each of them (except Hiroshi Fukuda).

Dick Togo was at ringside to watch the MAX LUCHA LIBRE Title Match. Daisuke Sasaki called himself Chile’s and therefore the World’s strongest man after he successfully defended the title.
