6. East Vs West Showdown: HARASHIMA (Tokyo) & Antonio Honda (Tokyo) defeated Jun Akiyama (Osaka) & Danshoku Dieno (Hiroshima) when Honda pinned Dieno with the Diving Fist Drop (11:33).
7. East Vs West Showdown ~ Special Tag Match: MAO (Miyagi/Captain) (w/ KIMIHIRO (Tokyo)) & Shinya Aoki (Shizuoka) defeated Yuki Ueno (Osaka/Captain) & Sanshiro Takagi (Osaka) when MAO pinned Takagi with the Cannonball 450° (17:45).

Today’s show in Osaka split the DDT locker room into two teams based on the east and west sides of Japan. The series went into a main event tied at three wins a piece. The contest became so heated at this point that even the referees started to pick sides. Yukinori Matsui started favoring the West Team so Daisuke Kiso felt the need to get in his way to make sure the East Team wouldn’t have the disadvantage for long. It led to wrestlers from all sides getting involved in train attacks. Sanshiro Takagi lost track of who was on his team so he gave Stunners to both Yuki Ueno and MAO. Ueno was then hit with a Topé Suicida from Shinya Aoki while MAO recovered and went on to pin Takagi with the Cannonball 450°.

After the match MAO put aside the East Vs West contest to talk about the earthquake that happened in Kumamoto last week. He remembers the support Miyagi received from all over Japan back in 2011 so he called for everyone to unite as a nation. Yuki Ishida also spoke about his hometown Yatsushiro City suffering a lot of damage from the earthquake and it leaves him feeling angry at himself for being unable to do anything about it. All he can do is hope how hard he fights in the ring can give Kumamoto even a little bit of encouragement.

The Anytime Anywhere Anytime Anywhere Gauntlet changed hands again. Now KANON is the holder of the purple Gauntlet after he pinned Rukiya in the opener.

At the end of the show Naomi Yoshimura announced he is going to have a match on 4th October to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of his debut. He wants it to be a singles match because he already has a certain opponent in mind.

2. Miyu Yamashita, Sakura Hattori & Marika Kobashi (w/ Marina Kumamoto) defeated HIMAWARI, Toga & Chika Nanase (w/ Sayonara Stay Tuned & ChumToto) when Yamashita pinned Nanase with the Attitude Adjustment (13:01).

The final day of the Tokyo Idol Festival had everyone in Tokyo Joshi Pro looking for excuses to cool down. Several of the matches held throughout the day turned into water fights and the wrestlers also advised the fans to stay hydrated so they could enjoy the festival to its fullest.

It looked like Miyu Yamashita would last through the day without worrying about anybody taking the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title from her but at the end of the morning session everybody in the ring piled on top of her to try and win it. Yamashita was pinned and when the bodies all seperated it turned out that Marina Kumamoto from Niji no Conquistador was directly on top of Yamashita for the pinfall and was now the champion. Yamashita then successfully convinced her to forefit the title back to her because Kumamoto was paranoid that one of the other ten members of Niji no Conquistador would attack her for the belt during their one of their live performances.

Another title change happened during the downtime in between shows. Raku found Yamashita backstage looking tired so she lulled her into taking a nap with a lullaby and pinned her to win the title. Raku then wanted to sing a lullaby after the main event so Aya Kajishima from The Up Up Girls (2) played her a tune using her nose on a recorder. The music made Raku lie down and Kajishima suddenly pinned her by pressing her down with the recorder. She thought she won the title but instead the referee decided the Recorder is the champion instead! Kajishima quickly pinned the Recorder to win the belt but Pom Harajuku then Shin Kicked her to win the title for herself.

Later that evening when all of the wrestling shows were completed, Harajuku was ready to go home. But as she was leaving the locker room, Pokotan appeared and attacked her, using the Ultra-Low Altitude Finally to pin her and take the championship. However Pokotan then removed its head in front of the referee to reveal it was actually Tetsuya Koda in disguise!

Miu Watanabe brought back The Giant Swing Experience Project from Day 1 and invited Niikura Ami from The Up Up Girls (2) to take part. Watanabe spun her around seven times which was a surprise for Ami because she was told she was only getting five spins. Watanabe said she got extra spins to get her in the mood for her singing performance later.

1. FUMA, Ryuichi Sekine & Seiya Morohashi defeated Daiki Shimomura, Takeru Inoue & Yasu Urano when FUMA pinned Inoue with the Atomic Bomb (11:32).
2. Grace Project Presents – 3-Way 6-Man Tag Match: SAGAT, Lil’ Kraken & Minoru Fujita defeated Captain Grace, Yusaku Ito & Violento Jack and Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi, Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga (w/ Gouma Ryu) when SAGAT pinned Hiroshi with the Dynamic Bomb (9:16).

6. Union MAX Title – Clutch Supporters Association Presents: Takumi Tsukamoto defeated Shuji Ishikawa (c) with the Zudon (18:41).

After eight months the Union MAX Title is now back around the waist of a BASARA wrestler. Takumi Tsukamoto kicked out of the Giant Driver and went on to pin Shuji Ishikawa with the Zudon to cause the title change. There were no hard feelings over the result and Ishikawa wrapped the title around Tsukamoto after the match. The new champion said when he stepped into the ring today it felt like his opponent was 4 metres tall but a real man always wants to hunt the big ones. Tsukamoto told Ishikawa he was the first person he ever had a Lighttube Death Match with and today he is happy to beat him in an important Korakuen Hall main event. He also thanked him for doing his part to make BASARA more exciting over the last year.

Tsukamoto invited the rest of the BASARA locker room into the ring for the closing speech. Ryota Nakatsu brought up the upcoming closure of Shinjuku FACE next month and reminded everyone the venue held BASARA’s first show ten years ago. He challenged Tsukamoto for the MAX Title at BASARA’s final show in Shinjuku FACE on 23rd September. However, Daiki Shimomura interrupted him and said that date is still a while away. He brought up how he was the only person to beat Tsukamoto in Tsukamoto’s 7-Match Trial last month so he should be getting a title shot first. Tsukamoto agreed to put the MAX Title on the line against Shimomura in Shin-Kiba 1st RING on 21st August. The winner and therefore the champion will then go on to defend the title against Nakatsu at September’s Shinjuku FACE show.

Aijin Tag are marching on towards their goal of breaking the Iron Fist Tag Team Titles record for most defences. They are now at five wins after beating Yankee Two Kenji. The win came from Masato Kamino giving Isami Kodaka a Lariat before Kodaka could lift up Takato Nakano for a Power Bomb. Then while Kamino took care of Yuko Miyamoto, Nakano climbed the top turnbuckle and hit the Takagari on Kodaka for the three count. Kamino called it a decisive win which means Aijin Tag has now surpassed Yankee Two Kenji! Miyamoto admitted the goal he and Kodaka put forth today was quite high for them to reach. They’re both becoming old men but they are still going out there because they are strong.

Former rivals and classmates from the DNA days met each other again when Nakatsu took on Shunma Katsumata. Since this match was happening in BASARA that meant Katsumata’s Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Gauntlet was not on the line (the rule was changed to being DDT exclusive a few years ago). The match came close to ending in a Double Knockout but they both got back up to continue fighting until Nakatsu won by using the V Slider. Nakatsu later said he was really grateful that Katsumata wrestled here today given that he is also booked for a DDT show in Osaka later this evening. He thinks it was fun to have two people who have worked so hard in the last ten years clash against each other.
