Sanshiro Takagi Vs Michael Nakazawa is added to the card after Nakazawa strongly demanded the match to happen. Not only that but Nakazawa also wants it to be a Weapons Rumble match, a match where a different weapon is brought down to the ring every couple of minutes. Nakazawa has been acting odd lately. He has been using a certain Golden Star’s phone to send naked pictures of himself to Takagi, probably to play mind games with him (key word: probably). Nakazawa also said he has prepared a secret weapon that will frighten Takagi when it appears.

DDT’s doubleshot return to Osaka Dotonbori Arena next month is all about deciding challengers for all of their championships. Night 1 has matches that will determine the No. 1 Contenders for the KO-D Openweight, DDT Extreme and KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Championships. The Extreme Title challenger will face either HARASHIMA or Super Sasadango Machine for the belt in Nagoya on 2nd February.

FUMA himself has only just begun to be on the winner’s side of matches but his heart and spirit are in the right place.

Cherry suffered an upset defeat in a 3 Way Match at yesterday’s show, being pinned young Pro Wrestling Diana wrestler Sareee. The victory made Sareee the No. 1 Contender for Cherry’s Fly To Everywhere Championship. Sareee will be a few months shy of turnng 18 years old when the match takes place in January.

After teaming together twice, SAGAT has challenged Kyoko Kimura to a singles match.

Richard Burn is an Australian martial artist who is travelling to Japan to fight the best there is available. Unfortunately he has to make do with Daichi Kazato for now.

A one night tournament is the main focus of the annual New Year’s Eve super show. Five wrestlers from DDT, five from Big Japan and five from K-DOJO fill up the brackets. The final spot will be awarded to the winner of a mini tournament dedicated to the younger wrestlers. The Young Tournament will consist of two matches to be held in K-DOJO on 30/11. The matches will be Tetsuya Endo Vs Hiroshi Fukuda and Kazuki Hashimoto Vs Tank Nagai. The final will take place in DDT the next day. Yuji Hino was originally entered into the tournament but he has pulled out since he is still recovering from elbow surgery and will not be ready in time. Kaji Tomato takes his place.

The early rounds up until the quarter final will all have a ten minute time limit. The semi finals will have a 15 minute time limit and the pairings will be decided by a lottery. Sudden Death will be used for time limit draws. Wrestlers only need to pin their opponent for one second to win during Sudden Death. These rules were used by K-DOJO for a tournament they held earlier this year. The final will have no time limit.

Maki Ito is a member of idol music group LinQ, who all appeared at DDT’s Sumo Hall shows back in August. She appeared at this past Sunday’s Korakuen Hall show and got into a confrontation with Sanshiro Takagi. It got so heated that they wanted to fight each other in the ring. Danshoku Dino & Makoto Oishi came out to side with Ito and it was decided those three will face Takagi & Toru Owashi in Hakata next month.

HARASHIMA’s month of title matches ends with a KO-D Openweight Title defence against Yukio Sakaguchi. Without a doubt the toughest upcoming challenge he will face.

Danshoku Dino & Makoto Oishi continue on their quest to win the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles. This time they enlisted the services of joshi monster Aja Kong to combat the size advantage the champions have thanks to Akebono.
