The law student turned pro wrestler turned lawyer will return to Union for his first match since November 2011. Ryu Gouma, who took his name from Ryuma Go isn’t the biggest or the strongest or the toughest or the most athletic guy on the roster. But he has probably the most unique background out of anyone in Union. How a law degree is supposed to win him matches is anyone’s guess but at least the guy has heart.

Yasu Urano currently holds one of the Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Contracts and risks losing it if he gets pinned or submits in the match, even to the champion Shigehiro Irie.

USA has struck a partnership deal with the AV company Idea Pocket. Part of the deal involves Idea Pocket presenting their own match for USA’s first show. It’s becoming very clear at this point that USA will not be a PG promotion. All I can gather is the match will be between “Val Venis” and “The Godfather”. Judging by the translation, it sounds like there are going to be a harem of Val Venises and a ho train of Godfathers taking part in the match.

Sakaguchi presents a fresh challenge not just for Irie but for KO-D Championship matches in general. Hikaru Sato was the last person with a shootfighting background to win and compete for the title. No disrespect to the guy but it looks like Sakaguchi outranks him in that area. However, Sakaguchi has only just recently begun to understand and fit into the crazy world of DDT and he hasn’t faced anyone like Irie. A victory for the new champion would make a strong statement from the get go.

Honda was honoured to be chosen but turned down the match, claiming he is suffering from chronic love sickness. The good news is Honda knows the perfect guy to take his place, A.YAZAWA! That’s not all, the match will be a Rock ‘N’ Roll Death Match!

Team Dream Futures get a shot at the KO-D Tag Team Titles at this show. Both Keisuke Ishii & Shigehiro Irie are looking forward to the match. Ishii has wanted to defeat HARASHIMA & Yasu Urano for months now but HARASHIMA’s recent injury put a stop to that plan. Now that HARASHIMA is back, Ishii gets his chance to destroy Ura-Shima-Kudo. Shigehiro Irie could be going into his home city as the KO-D Champion and is motivated to become a double champion. HARASHIMA feels he has become stronger from healing his injury and wants to crush the challengers.

The MMA invasion continues. Former UFC tournament champion Kenichi Yamamoto will be next to make his DDT debut following Yukio Sakaguchi and Kizaemon Saiga. Yamamoto won the UFC 23 Middleweight Tournament in 1999 but his MMA career plummeted down to a 5-11-2 record. He does have wrestling experience however, winning the WAR World 6-Man Tag Team Title with Yoji Anjo & Yoshihiro Takayama way back in 1996.

Yoshihiko finds itself teaming with a member of the Monster Army. Will it get along with Antonio Honda?

The aim of the Giant Recital match is to grab a musical instrument at ringside and play it successfully. The first team to do so with two instruments will be declared the winners. Fans have been encouraged to bring their own instruments to be included in the match but Union does not guarantee they will be returned in the same condition they were before the match. Shuji Ishikawa thinks that it is only fitting for his Giant Recital to include another giant. So he has chosen Masato Shibata to be his and FUMA’s partner for the match. Shibata doesn’t wrestle often these days but his most recent appearances have been for Diamond Ring, Apache Pro and IGF.

Some extra micro indy wrestlers have been added to the show. Shinya Ishida is from Sportiva Entertainment and Hasuka Makoto is from Team Dera.
