2a. Masahiro Takanashi & Makoto Oishi defeated Antonio Honda & Miyu Yamashita when Oishi pinned Honda with a School Boy (5:22).
2b. Danshoku Dieno & Mizuki Watase defeated Antonio Honda & Miyu Yamashita when Dieno submitted Honda with an Armpit Hold (4:28).
2c. Antonio Honda & Miyu Yamashita defeated Kazuki Hirata & Yuki Ueno when Honda pinned Hirata with the Diving Fist Drop (7:27).
3. Isami Kodaka defeated Nobuhiro Shimatani with a Sleeper Hold (8:46).
4. Jiro Kuroshio defeated Yukio Sakaguchi with a School Boy (6:08).
5. Road To Ultimate Party 2019! Special 8-Man Tag Match: Daisuke Sasaki, Soma Takao, Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie defeated Akito, Shunma Katsumata, MAO & Asuka when Takao pinned Katsumata with the Diving Foot Stomp onto chairs (14:35).
6. DDT Megatonweight Single Match: Yukio Naya defeated Cody Hall with a Back Drop (14:10).
7. Road To Ultimate Party 2019! Special Tag Match: HARASHIMA & Toru Owashi defeated Konosuke Takeshita & Yuki Iino when HARASHIMA pinned Iino with the Somato (20:21).

HARASHIMA thanked a “scary” Toru Owashi for helping get their team the win. HARASHIMA also assured everyone his body is alright even if he still feels a little pain. For now his aim is to win all of the warm up matches left before Sumo Hall.

The bad tension between Yukio Naya and Cody Hall became water under the bridge after their singles match. Naya won the match but offered to shake Hall’s hand afterwards. When Hall went along with it Naya asked him to form a team together. Naya also told everyone he wants to take part in the “BAKUHA KOSHIEN 2019” show happening next month. He’s been in DDT for six months and there is so much he wants to learn including Current Blast death matches.

Chairs were brought into play for the 8-Person Tag Match. Daisuke Sasaki threw one into the ring when the referee was distracted. Shunma Katsumata intercepted the chair from Soma Takao but Sasaki got into the ring with another one and hit Katsumata from behind. Takao continued with the chair attacks until he piled the chairs on top of Katsumata. Takao then finished him off with a Diving Foot Stomp onto the pile. Sasaki told the ALL OUT wrestlers to get ready for more hardcore wrestling at Sumo Hall. He then asked Akito if he wants to change his tag partner before then. Backstage Akito agreed that his partner should be changed. His partner is still Katsumata but now it is the hardcore version of Katsumata!

Yukio Sakaguchi is left wondering about what his weaknesses are in the run up to the D-Ou Grand Prix. He lost to Jiro Kuroshio when he missed the God’s Right Knee, crashed into the turnbuckles and got rolled up in a School Boy. Kuroshio on the other hand is pleased to have won against such a killer wrestler today. He feels a bit prouder going into his match with Tetsuya Endo on 27th October.

For a brief moment Nobuhiro Shimatani was sent to sleep by Isami Kodaka. When he woke back up the match was over but that didn’t stop Shimatani attacking Kodaka and dropping him with a Fisherman Suplex. He yelled that the problem between them can’t end like this.

The team of Antonio Honda & Miyu Yamashita went through three matches so they could find their groove together. They lost the first two matches because Yamashita kept falling for Honda’s fake injuries. Honda had to explain to her that he fakes his injuries so his opponents drop their guard and he can hit them with the Gongitsune. She finally understood and joined in with Honda’s story in the third match. Together with all of the wrestlers from the previous matches, they formed the Gonvengers and successfully launched an attack on Kazuki Hirata. Afterwards Hirata tried to knock out Yamashita with a chop but she blocked it with her chin. Yamashita then hit Hirata with the Crash Rabbit Heat and Honda followed with the Diving Fist Drop to get the team their first win.

Keigo Nakamura’s debut match had the expected result but he was met with respect from Naomi Yoshimura. He got some offence in with a Takedown from behind, a Missile Dropkick and a series of Middle Kicks until some Lariats from Yoshimura put him away.

Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Aino from Tokyo Joshi Pro announced that they will be entering the Gauntlet Tag match at Sumo Hall! They said if The Steiner Brothers won’t be there then The Bakuretsu Sisters will come out instead!

6. IRON FIST TAG Titles – IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT – Final: X & X Vs X & X

I’d go look up who P-Nutz is but I immediately think of the Peanuts song from Shooting Stars and I fall down the hole of watching clips from that show instead of writing this.

Alright, alright, I’ll snap out of it. P-Nutz is a Gatoh Move wrestler from Thailand. Masahiro Takanashi is regularly involved with Gatoh Move away from his DDT appearances. This kind of match up continues to prove that Takanashi’s upcoming Union MAX Title match with Ryuichi Sekine is not about BASARA Vs DDT.

1. Bakuha Koshien Tournament Final – Current Blast 6-Man Tag Death Match: Atsushi Onita, Kenichiro Arai & Tournament Finalist A Vs Sanshiro Takago, Shinya Aoki & Tournament Finalist A

What on earth is going on here? Today Atsushi Onita announced that Shinya Aoki will be participating in the “BAKUHA KOSHIEN 2019” main event. Onita wants Aoki to experience what a Current Blast Death Match is like. The news seems to be a surprise for Aoki. He was left confused by the announcement and is already trying to get Hideki Suzuki to take his place. The organisers think Aoki is just joking. The main event will also feature Kenichiro Arai as well as the two finalists of a mini tournament that is currently being planned. The participants for the mini tournament are expected to be announced next week, probably on 24th October since that fits with Onita’s schedule. Only the final will be a Current Blast Death Match.

Then the news gets a bit weirder. Sanshiro Takagi held a press conference to announce the formation of the Bakuha Koshien Federation (Bakuharen for short). That’s not weird. What is weird is Takagi appointed Pro Wrestling NOAH’s former president Masayuki Uchida as the president of Bakuharen! Takagi wants this project to be taken care of properly and he thinks Uchida is the man for the job. Uchida is both nervous and excited to take on the role. He wants Bakuharen to leave a lasting legacy in Japan’s wrestling world. His first task is examining applications with Onita and Takagi from the wrestlers around the world wanting to be on the show.

Onita And Sanshiro Present Bakuha Koshien 2019

September 9, 2019

“BAKUHA KOSHIEN 2019”, 17/11/2019
Kanagawa Tsurumi Fruit & Vegetable Market

A new project has been set up by Atsushi Onita and Sanshiro Takagi called Bakuha Koshien 2019. The event is being put together by the Bakuha Koshien 2019 Executive Committee. The goal of this production is to find a new generation of pro wrestlers willing to fight in explosion/blast death matches. Although Takagi is one of the producers of the event, this is not officially associated with DDT. On Onita’s end he is currently applying for the trademark of the term “Current Blast” both in Japan and worldwide. He ultimately wants to hold Current Blast wrestling matches in 120 countries around the world!

The idea for Bakuha Koshien began when Takagi and Onita met each other the day after “TAKAYAMANIA” in August. They reminisced about a No Rope Barbed Wire match they had in 2000 which to this day is one of Takagi’s proudest personal accomplishments. Onita pitched him the idea of producing Current Blast matches and mentioned how such matches in Japan are famous overseas. The Koshien part of the name refers to the Summer Koshien high school tournaments. Koshien athletes play with pure feelings and Onita wants the wrestlers to blow up with pure feelings the same way.

Onita revealed he has already spoken to an athlete about taking part. Jun Mizutani won the bronze medal for table tennis in the 2016 Olympic Games and is a big pro wrestling fan. Onita wants to raise the next generation of “Bombers” from a wide range of backgrounds. After all, Giant Baba was a baseball player before he went into pro wrestling. No matter what kind of athlete you are, Onita believes your pro wrestling qualities will bloom after being exposed to an explosion death match. Onita also mentioned interest in seeing a pro wrestling group that exists in Congo. Takagi hopes that they can follow up on DDT’s show in New York by bringing the Current Blast match to America in a year or two.  Also gender will not be a barrier. Onita learned from this year’s Wrestlemania main event that there are many women who can fight on equal terms against men.

The first show will take place in Tsurumi Fruit & Vegetable Market. Both Takagi and Onita will participate on the show. The idea for now is to hold a four person Current Blast tournament. If there is a big demand for entries then regional qualification matches could take place beforehand. Takagi hopes to redeem himself after having a disastrous explosion death match with KENSO back in 2006. One that was done without Onita’s permission by the way. DDT will be offering help to set things up but this will not be a DDT branded event.
