5. 4 Way Tag Match – No Tag Rules: KUDO & Masahiro Takanashi defeated Akito & Shunma Katsumata, Soma Takao & Mad Paulie and Kota Umeda & Kouki Iwasaki when KUDO pinned Katsumata with the Diving Double Knee Drop (11:10).
6. Beer Garden Specialty King Of DDT 2018 Customer Lottery 8-Man Tag Match: Kazuki Hirata, Keisuke Ishii, Daisuke Sasaki & Yukio Sakaguchi defeated HARASHIMA, Mike Bailey, MAO & Tetsuya Endo when Hirata pinned MAO with the Miracle One Shot Cradle (18:41).

The annual Fan Lottery tag match gave us HARASHIMA, Mike Bailey, MAO & Tetsuya Endo Vs Kazuki Hirata, Keisuke Ishii, Daisuke Sasaki & Yukio Sakaguchi in the main event. Sasaki and Endo wanted to start the match in a neutral corner together but Endo’s teammates had to drag him over to their side of the ring. Sasaki and Endo did end up working together until Bailey & MAO wiped them out with the Skylab Hurricance. Hirata rolled out of the way from MAO’s Cannonball 450. That gave Sakaguchi the chance to hit the God’s Right Knee to MAO and Hirata rolled him into the Miracle Cradle for the three count.

Hirata celebrated and once more showed that the “small fish” in this year’s King Of DDT is on a miracle run! The DDT roster was brought out to the ring for a last round of drinks together along with some dancing. Sanshiro Takagi promoted the busy schedule for the rest of the year. We have the next “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI” in two days time, there are trips to Nagoya and Osaka, there are the monthly Korakuen Hall shows, there is the Dramatic General Election in September and finally of course there is Sumo Hall on 21st October.

Danshoku Dieno, Saki Akai, Toru Owashi and Yasu Urano were given 3 minutes to finish their match before Hisaya Imabayashi could tell his scary story. This was Ueno’s first time taking part in the tradition and he told everyone he had trained himself not to get scared. When Imabayashi came out something strange happened. There was the spirit of a dead child (Yuni) piggybacking on him! Everybody could see him except for Imabayashi and Ueno. Imabayashi was feeling too ill to notice anything while Ueno’s training was turning out to be effective. Ueno convinced Imabayashi to increase the match time limit to 5 minutes. The match went on as normal until the child decided to get in the way and scare all of the wrestlers, except for Ueno who tried not to notice him. The time elapsed and the bell rang so Imabayashi could start his story.

However midway through the story Imabayashi broke into a coughing fit. Dieno suggested he should take a rest and leave. It turned out to be a ruse and Imabayashi made Dieno faint by pointing at him and shouting “It’s you!” He then did it to Ueno, then Akai, then Owashi and finally Yukinori Matsui. Imabayashi then brought out his Atsushi Onita impression and spat water into the audience while “Wild Thing” played. The child spirit joined in until Imabayashi collapsed and died. The lights went out and a spotlight shined over the child…

“I wonder who is next… It’s you!”

Match #3 was in jeopardy when Makoto Oishi came out in his casual clothes and a backpack. He told everyone he came out to say goodbye because he is quitting DDT! Oishi blamed Takagi for burning him out with useless jobs. One example was Takagi making Oishi collect 60 flashlight pens the night before the Tokyo Idol Festival only to never use them at the wrestling matches held there. Takagi also took Oishi’s Right To Challenge Gauntlet from him recently. Super Sasadango Machine offered to hand over his Gauntlet to Oishi but it was turned down out of principal. Oishi isn’t going to team with Takagi today because he is quitting! Sasadango & Nobuhiro Shimatani came up with an idea. Oishi can team with them so they can all beat up Takagi instead. The match went ahead and turned into a crazy mess of slams onto beer cans and plastic cases. The numbers game was too much for Takagi and Oishi pinned him to get his revenge. Oishi’s opinion on everything suddenly changed. DDT is the best! Takagi is the best boss a guy can have! Oishi would do anything for him. We are Dramatic Dream Team!

Antonio Honda went down with a sudden case of love sickness so A.YAZAWA was brought in to replace him in the Rock ‘N’ Roll Death Match. YAZAWA and Kazusada Higuchi danced and drank the night away to different songs until they fell asleep. Matsui almost counted them out when “Thriller” played and the two rose up to dance like zombies. This continued on until Higuchi pinned YAZAWA.

The Naomi Kingdom look to be making themselves comfortable in DDT after a win over RENEGADES.
Kota Umeda is back from injury and made his return in the 4 Way Tag Match. Everybody agreed to make the match No Tag rules so everyone was free to swap out when they wanted to.
And with that, Fighting Beer Garden 2018 has ended! I need a drink.

4. Crash! BASARA x DOVE Battle ~ Hardcore Tag Match: Ryota Nakatsu & Ryuichi Sekine defeated Gunso & Kabuki Kid when Nakatsu pinned Kid with the V Slider onto a Chair (13:22).
5. DOVE World Title – Crash! BASARA x DOVE Battle: Naoki Tanizaki (c) defeated Fuminori Abe with the Libido (17:54).
*V4 for Naoki Tanizaki.

The final day of Fighting Beer Garden 2018 began with the crossover show between BASARA and Dove Pro. In the main event Naoki Tanizaki put the DOVE World Title on the line against BASARA’s Fuminori Abe. Abe had the support of the entire BASARA roster behind him and it showed when they did a train entrance with Abe down to the ring. The title match broke down after a ref bump which resulted in all of the Dove wrestlers entering the ring to attack Abe. The BASARA wrestlers came to the rescue and got a few digs in on Tanizaki to even the playing field. Abe though he had the match won when he struck the champion with a Rabbit Punch and placed him in the Manjigatame. However Tanizaki countered the hold into the Implant. He then hid the Reverse Implant but Abe kicked out at one! Abe caught Tanizaki in a Crucifix Pin in a last ditch attempt to squeak in a victory but Tanizaki kicked out and hit Abe with the Casanova knee strike. He then hit his Libido Go 2 Sleep variant for the three count.

The overall score on today’s show was 3-2 for Dove Pro. Tanizaki and the rest of Dove Pro rubbed it in after the main event. They came all the way to Tokyo for this? Where’s the energy you get at the Dove shows out west? Ryota Nakatsu confronted Tanizaki in response to this. Tanizaki asked who this guy was and the crowd started chanting for Nakatsu. Tanizaki promoted Dove Pro’s event at Shin-Kiba 1st RING on 20th September then assured Nakatsu that he remembers their Union MAX Title match at Korakuen Hall is happening the next day. Isami Kodaka said that he lost to Tanizaki, Abe lost to Tanizaki and Takato Nakano lost to Tanizaki. But Nakatsu will beat Tanizaki! Nakatsu will win the MAX Title and bring it back to BASARA! Even though there is tension between the champion and challenger, things are a little friendlier between Kodaka and Gunso. They thanked everyone for coming to the show and shook hands at the end.

BASARA’s big win of the day came form the Hardcore Tag Match. When Gunso & Kabuki Kid made their entrance they decided to stay away from the ring. That drew Nakatsu & Ruichi Sekine out to them for an arena wide brawl. Chairs and steel boxes were used throughout. Sekine wiped out the Dove team with a big dive outside the ring while Nakatsu delivered a Superplex to Kabuki Kid onto the weapons inside. Nakatsu then finished off Kid with the V Slider onto the chairs to win the match for Cavalry.

Dove’s Rey Paloma decided to put his restaurant Acapulco on the line against one of the BASARA wrestlers. Who he faced was determined by a 4 Way Battle Royal. Gouma Ryu & SAGAT worked together to eliminate Best Stretchman V3. They then turned on and eliminated each other. Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi won the match and all he did was practice yoga the entire time! When it was time for Paloma to wrestle him, Paloma thrusted his crotch into Hiroshi’s face while he was still meditating. This annoyed Hiroshi enough to react and put Paloma in different holds. Somehow the moves both wrestlers were doing began to resemble yoga holds. The back and forth continued until Paloma trapped Hiroshi in a Cradle for the three count. The result meant Paloma successfully defended the ownership of his restaurant for the first time. He cheered Hiroshi up by suggesting he can hold monthly yoga sessions at the restaurant.

The rule of the Drunkers Match was Kodaka and Shoichi Uchida both had to drink a shot of tequila after every round until one man was left standing. After Round 7 both men were too hammered to get back up so the match was brought to an end. The winner was then decided by three judges: Yuya Okada, Yuki Aoki and Gouma Ryu. Aoki & Ryu voted for Uchida when he handed them 10,000 yen. Uchida was declared the winner by split decision!

The fighting between BASARA and Dove Pro continued after the opening match.

11. King Of DDT 2018 – Round 2: Kazuki Hirata defeated Tanomusaku Toba with the Sliding Kick (8:20).

The King Of DDT has been whittled down to the final eight. Kazuki Hirata’s miracle run continues with a victory over Tanomusaku Toba in the main event. There was no Gongitsune to be seen as Antonio Honda lose to Daisuke Sasaki in a close bout. Tetsuya Endo put Kazusada Higuchi through a table with the Firebird Splash in the crowd on route to winning his match. Yukio Sakaguchi sent Soma Takao into unconsciousness with the Cobra Clutch. Mike Bailey escaped a Stretch Muffler from Shunma Katsumata and struck a Buzzsaw Kick for the three count. Keisuke Ishii survived a European Clutch to pin Akito with the Double Arm DDT.

For the match between Masahiro Takanashi and MAO, there were several traps laid by Takanashi to distract his opponent. First the match began with KUDO walking out dressed in Makoto Oishi’s NωA costume singing “Never Give Up☆I LOVE YOU”. Later when MAO chased Takanashi out of the room. He reappeared dragging a person dressed like Takanashi into the ring but it turned out to be Chinsuke Nakamura! All of Takanashi’s distractions couldn’t get him the win though. MAO got the upper hand and hit the Chile Driver on Takanashi to advance.

Toru Owashi had his one major serious performance of the year against his former Disaster-BOX partner HARASHIMA but couldn’t get the win. Owashi felt like it was the last big match he had in him so he will go back to teaming with T2Hide in comedy matches.

The Quarter Final draw took place at the end of the show. The matches taking place at Korakuen Hall on 25th August are Bailey Vs MAO, Endo Vs Hirata, HARASHIMA Vs Sakaguchi and Sasaki Vs Ishii. Hirata closed out the show by dancing to “TOKYO GO”.

Danshoku Dieno booked Yuni on the show today and told him that the summer break is enough time for him to grow up into an adult. Nobuhiro Shimatani swore he would protect Yuni but that was a difficult task with Dieno involved. Yuni got the upper hand when he gave both Dieno and Oishi the Kancho. Yuni also tried to defend Shimatani but he ended up getting the Lip Lock from Dieno. Dieno then pinned Shimatani with the Danshoku Driver.

Continuing on from yesterday’s show, Tomomitsu Matsunaga drank even more beer during his match. He even got Naomi Yoshimura and Mad Paulie to get involved while they wrestled each other.

8. Yeah! Metcha Tag Tournament 2018 Summer – Final: Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki defeated Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao when Sakazaki pinned Misao with the Magical Magical Girl Splash (14:16).

The makeshift team known as the Magical Sugar Rabbits came out as the winners of the first Yeah! Metcha Tag Tournament. The big story is the day before the show, news came out that the Muscle JK Strikers vacated the TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles because Marika Kobashi is not ready to return from injury yet. When Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki won the tournament today they both asked Tetsuya Koda to give them the belts and make them the new champions. Koda told them no. The belts will instead be put on the line at Korakuen Hall on 25th August. Sakazaki & Mizuki convinced Koda to put them in the match. When he did, Maki Itoh came down to the ring. At first Itoh was annoyed that Mizuki is going after the Tag Titles without her. But she’s willing to let that slide if she gets to be on the other team. She even knows who her partner will be, Reika Saiki! Saiki told Itoh she wants to wait for Kobashi to be cleared so the Strikers can get their belts back. However Kobashi gave Saiki her blessing to go ahead because she doesn’t know when she will return to the ring. Saiki isn’t thrilled with the idea but she accepted Itoh’s offer. Sakazaki & Mizuki Vs Itoh & Saiki for the vacant Tag Titles is now set!

The battle of NEO Biishiki-gun was tense throughout. Sakisama and Yukio Saint Laurent were careful not to make the first mistake when the match began. They both tagged out without laying a finger on each other. When Martha and Azusa Christie faced off they fought using Martha’s mop as a weapon. The match heated up to the point where Laurent took out his anaesthetics and jabbed both Sakisama & Martha in the back with them. Martha grabbed her mop and used it to great effect on Laurent. Christie gave Sakisama the Christie Agape but it only got a two count. Sakisama caught Christie by surprise with the Versailles Foot Choke. Christie had enough strength left to kick out of a Running PK but the Academy Award put her down for the count. After the match Sakisama said she now understands how Laurent got Christie to act against orders. It was all so Laurent could cut out the weak part of Christie’s heart. She is no longer weak. She is now a good woman and it is time for her to fly away. Sakisama and Martha will be returning to Paris so they can spend the rest of the summer travelling the world. It was time for them to go and leave Christie by herself. Christie began to cry because she is all alone. She cannot do anything on her own.

Suddenly a voice called out to her. It’s Nonoko! She told Christie she is not alone. Everybody in Tokyo Joshi Pro is there to support her. Nonoko reminded Azusa that she was the No. 1 Announcer in Tokyo Joshi. She also brought up Konsho-gun and she handed Azusa an issue of Zexy Magazine. Azusa remembers she wants to get married as an announcer! There were celebrations all round until Nonoko accidentally hit Azusa in the head with the magazine. When she came too her first words were “Where am I? Who am I?”

Thankfully her memories came back to her at the end of the show. She reintroduced herself as Azusa Takigawa, a 30 year old woman who aspires to be an announcer. Rika Tatsumi pointed out that Takigawa turned 31 last month. Takigawa doesn’t remember that so she’s still 30.

5. Bonus Track: Akito, Shunma Katsumata & Yukio Sakaguchi defeated Nobuhiro Shimatani, Yuki Ueno & Yuki Iino when Katsumata pinned Iino with a Diving Foot Stomp (3:38).

Today was ALL OUT’s turn to have a go at Beer Garden. At this point in the week a few wrestlers have gotten more than their fill of alcohol. They all wanted Shunma Katsumata to drink with them after the main event. Yukio Sakaguchi stepped in and told everyone it was not good for Katsumata’s health to be forced into drinking alcohol. Nobuhiro Shimatani, Yuki Ueno & Yuki Iino all decided to attack Sakaguchi, Akito & Katsumata causing an impromptu match to close out the show. Sakaguchi used Kuishinbo Kamen’s top as a cape to lure Iino into a bullfight. Iino crashed into the turnbuckles. Akito put Iino into a choke and positioned him for Katsumata to hit the Diving Foot Stomp for the win. Konosuke Takeshita joined the rest of ALL OUT to celebrate with one more drink.

Katsumata’s scheduled match was a Fans Bring The Weapons Death Match against Violento Jack. There were already tables, ladders and barbed wire boards placed in the ring but the wrestlers also got different items from the audience to use on each other. The match found its way over to the counters and Jack gave Katsumata a Package Piledriver through a board with empty cans attached to it. After the match Jack said he will never forget Katsumata’s name after today and he appreciated his hard work. Looks like Katsumata has made a new amigo and he is scary as hell!

Akito and Isami Kodaka spent 20 minutes of grappling back and forth without a winner determined. Before the match began Kodaka went around having a beer bash like Stone Cold Steve Austin. Meanwhile Akito decided to wrestle barefoot. In the final minutes both of them tried to find transitions out of a Headlock to get a flash pin but the time ran out without anybody getting pinned. Kodaka told Akito he doesn’t want to wrestle against him much because the fatigue he gets from it is unlike any other time he wrestles. However he noticed that Akito is still in the King Of DDT tournament. If Akito can win it and become the KO-D Openweight Champion then maybe the next time they fight they will both be standing at the top of DDT!

Nobody told Kuishinbo Kamen about Takeshita’s injury. Also nobody told him that Sakaguchi was his new opponent. He was so surprised when he stood across a large scary man in the ring today. He didn’t want to fight Sakaguchi so he instead took out a picture book to read. Sakaguchi took the book and wanted to fight. Kamen agreed to have a match made up of three rounds, two minutes each. Kamen convinced Sakaguchi to do his comedy spots with like the pose, the hop and the Low Blows. Sakaguchi knocked down Kamen with a High Kick but Yukinori Matsui was recovering from the Low Blow. Takeshita got into the ring and everybody gave each other Leg Kicks. Kamen but Sakaguchi in a Leglock that had no effect. Sakaguchi reversed the move and Kamen immediately tapped out. Sakaguchi felt so bad about making Kamen upset after the match that he gave him back his book and asked him to read it to everyone. Takeshita brought out a large version of the book for the audience to see and everyone had a fun time reading it.

Plans for Tomomitsu Matsunaga’s opening match were changed when most of the participants were declared too drunk to wrestle. The match became KUDO Vs Yuki Ueno in a Lumberjack match where the Lumberjacks forced anyone thrown out of the ring to drink more alcohol. The match reached its most obvious conclusion when both KUDO and Ueno got too drunk to wrestle. The solution to this problem was to determine the winner with a game of Finger Sumo. While that went on the other wrestlers found new drinking games to pass the time. They did a lottery where fans pulled out names. They then brought out a dartboard with everyone’s name on it and got Yuni (how was he allowed in here?) to throw a dart and pick the next drinker. Ishii’s name was far larger than anyone else’s. Back at the Finger Sumo, the theme song to “Over The Top” played. KUDO tried to put Ueno in a Cross Armbreaker position but Ueno outmanoeuvred him and pinned down KUDO’s thumb for the three count.

The wrestlers also drank during Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi’s public yoga session. I think they may have a problem.

DDT “FIGHTING BEER GARDEN 2018 ~SHUTEN-DOJI & HARASHIMA DAY~”, 01/08/2018
Shinjuku FACE
546 Fans – Super No Vacancy
1. HARASHIMA, KUDO & Danshoku Dieno (Gorgeous Matsuno) defeated Brahman Shu, Brahman Kei & Gorgeous Matsuno (Danshoku Dieno) when HARASHIMA pinned Matsuno with the Somato (8:13).
2. NEO Biishiki-gun Vs Gatoh Move: Sakisama, Martha & Yoshikosama defeated Emi Sakura, Riho & Mei Suruga when Martha pinned Suruga with a Cradle (16:20).
-. Secret Match: Yukio Sakaguchi defeated DJ Nira by Disqualification when Nira attacked the referee (6:13).
3. Shuten-dōji Vs Hebikai Tensai!: KUDO, Yukio Sakaguchi & Masahiro Takanashi defeated JARASHIMA, Hoshihebi & Kazusada Jaguchi (w/ Poison Sawada JULIE) when KUDO pinned Hoshihebi with the Diving Double Knee Drop (11:39).

Poison Sawada JULIE made his presence felt throughout the show by poisoning several wrestlers with his Snake Magic. After every match some of the wrestlers would raise a toast and drink a beer then they could collapse because the beer was spiked! JULIE would then send his minions Hoshihebi and Kazusada Jaguchi out to grab the unconscious people and carry them backstage so they would be transformed into JULIE’s snake warriors. What was JULIE’s ultimate goal? Why, to perform a big song and dance number in the main event of course! Shuten-dōji came to the rescue and fought against JULIE’s team with a special No Tag Rule added at the last minute. JULIE interfered by using his Snake Magic until a mistaken Clothesline from Jaguchi knocked him off the apron. From there the Shuten-dōji team fought back and grabbed the victory. JULIE accepted defeat and promised to give everyone the antidote to turn them back to normal. KUDO appreciated JULIE’s decision and he thanked him for his role in making DDT bigger by adding a fantasy element to the promotion. Masahiro Takanashi also said it was fun to hear the rattles of the snake magic again. Everyone turned back to normal except for Sayaka Obihiro because there was none left for her. Nobody was bothered by that.

Yukio Sakaguchi was surprised to learn there was a secret match prepared for him against DJ Nira. Some of the antics Nira used included attacking Sakaguchi with an umbrella and sitting down everytime Sakaguchi went for the God’s Right Knee. Nira then used a bizarre submission hold that involved making Sakaguchi fall down on one knee so Nira can put all of his weight on the other knee by standing on it. When Yukinori Matsui moved in to check if Sakaguchi would give up, Sakaguchi lifted Nira off of his knee and onto Matsui’s knee. This put Matsui in so much pain that he ended the match without a winner.

As usual NEO Biishiki-gun thought their opponents were a bunch of garbage, except for Riho. Sakisama sees something special in her that is different from everyone else. Emi Sakura told the rest of the Gatoh Move team how frustrating it is to lose. She put the blame entirely on Mei Suruga and said if she is garbage then she better get cleaned up.

Danshoku Dieno and Gorgeous Matsuno bumped heads and swapped bodies at the start of the show. So for the opener we had Dieno wrestling as Matsuno and Matsuno wrestling as Dieno. This is happening along with the usual Brahman Brothers shenanigans by the way. They hit heads again after the match and returned to normal after HARASHIMA pinned Matsuno (Dieno) with the Somato.

15. King Of DDT 2018 – Round 1: Tanomusaku Toba defeated Yuki Ueno by TKO with the Backhand Blow (6:30).
16. King Of DDT 2018 – Round 1: Kazuki Hirata defeated Naomi Yoshimura with a Power Bomb Switchback (8:59).

The biggest King Of DDT tournament ever kicked off with 16 1st Round matches in one evening. Kazuki Hirata scored an upset win in the main event by beating Naomi Yoshimura. He countered Yoshimura’s Shonenba into a DDT then turned the Throwaway Power Bomb into a Cradle for the three count. Hirata called Yoshimura scary but Hirata has fought wrestlers like Yukio Sakaguchi who are 100 times more scary. Hirata got to dance to “TOKYO GO!” in full to celebrate his victory.

Today’s show aired on AbemaTV in place of the usual “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI” episode that takes place on Tuesdays. That meant everybody was treated to the recurring Kazusada Higuchi table spot! Higuchi and Tomomitsu Matsunaga brawled around the room and had a chop battle on one of the Shinjuku FACE bar counters. A table was positioned below and Higuchi tried to Power Bomb Matsunaga through it. Instead Matsunaga Back Body Dropped Higuchi into the table. Matsunaga came close to victory with the Back Drop but Higuchi recovered and got the win with the Doctor Bomb. Higuchi thanked Matsunaga for handling his all of the power he gained from sumo today. He asked to shake Matsunaga’s hand but Matsunaga wanted them to drink beer instead.

Saki Akai came real close to beating her friend Masahiro Takanashi but a rollover ended her chances. Akai hit Takanashi with the Rookie Award making an upset win seemed certain. When Akai went on top of Takanashi for the pin and leaned over to hook the leg, Takanashi trapped Akai in a Crucifix and rolled her onto her shoulders for the flash three count. Akai is the first woman to ever compete in King Of DDT. She originally thought she was never included because she was the only active female wrestler on the roster but now there are more women appearing in DDT she realises that is a bad excuse on her part.

Sanshiro Takagi and MAO used their match to prepare for DDT’s return of Campsite Pro Wrestling later this year. The two are becoming rivals over the new generation of Street Wrestling clashing with the old. Takagi brought out boxes of stuff to use as weapons while MAO appeared equipped to the gills with his own homemade weapons. Takagi convinced Yukinori Matsui to allow the weapon usage because of the 5 Count Rule. MAO also encouraged a lot of outside fighting away from the ring because he promised Matsui they would return to the ring at the 19 count. Lawn tables were smashed, plastic boxes were destroyed and bicycles were crashed around the room as the match progressed. The end came when MAO countered Takagi’s Sit Down Himawari Bomb into a Rolling Cradle for the pin. After the match a surprised Takagi realised how big of a mess they caused and worried about how long the AbemaTV broadcast will be delayed so the ring could be cleaned up. Takagi thanked MAO for the match and asked for a handshake but it was a ruse so Takagi could give him the Stunner. He told MAO that the Campsite Pro Wrestling show on 2nd September will be the deciding battle between them! MAO said Takagi is older than his mother but he is excited to see the scary Sanshiro Takagi coming back.

HARASHIMA praised Mad Paulie for a tough match. He squeezed Paulie’s hand while telling him how much fun he had with the challenge. Now HARASHIMA is looking forward to facing Toru Owashi in the 2nd Round because it is a Disaster-BOX reunion. When Owashi beat Mizuki Watase the match before (with the Diving Body Press he hasn’t done in years), Owashi simply said “HARASHIMA, I’m waiting” on the microphone.

The show opened up with an unexpected result when Akito defeated KUDO. Akito ducked the Buzzsaw Kick and put KUDO in an Anklelock. Akito then positioned himself on top of KUDO and pinned him for three. Akito said KUDO can now spend his time concentrating on his restaurant.
The 2nd Round matches on 4th August are Akito Vs Keisuke Ishii, Mike Bailey Vs Shunma Katsumata, Yukio Sakaguchi Vs Soma Takao, Toru Owashi Vs HARASHIMA, MAO Vs Masahiro Takanashi, Tetsuya Endo Vs Kazusada Higuchi, Antonio Honda Vs Daisuke Sasaki and Tanomusaku Toba Vs Kazuki Hirata.
Konosuke Takeshita greeted the audience at the start of the show. He revealed he dislocated his right shoulder at the Fukuyama show last Saturday and will be taking time off to recover. He does not need to go under surgery so he hopes to return in two to three months time. As a result of this the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles held by ALL OUT have been vacated.

Shinjuku FACE
573 Fans – Super No Vacancy Full House
0. Under Match ~ Crocodile Death Match: Daisuke Sasaki Vs Masahiro Takanashi ended in a No Contest (12R).
1. Soma Takao Produce DAMNATION New Member Assessment Match: Soma Takao & Shota defeated PSYCHO & CHANGO when Takao pinned CHANGO with the Official Endless Waltz (11:42).
2. DAMNATION Vs Metal Family!: Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie defeated Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & SAGAT when Paulie pinned SAGAT with the Reverse Splash (10:56).
3. Shuji Ishikawa & Kohei Sato defeated Kazusada Higuchi & Yuki Iino when Ishikawa pinned Iino with the Fire Thunder (15:08).
4. DAMNATION Vs NOBUNATION! – Scramble Bunkhouse 10-Man Tornado Tag Death Match: Daisuke Sasaki, Shuji Ishikawa, Soma Takao, Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie defeated Nobuhiro Shimatani, Ken Ohka, Masahiro Takanashi, Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & CHANGO when Endo pinned Shimatani with the Shooting Star Press (14:10).

The entire DAMNATION unit got together for the first time to take part in their Beer Garden show. However they were threatened by the unit’s long time gopher boy Nobuhiro Shimatani who was so sick of the unit’s treatment of him that he formed his own unit to wipe them out. NOBUNATION consisted of Shimatani, Masahiro Takanashi, Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi, CHANGO and their big man, the hoss of the team, Ken Ohka! DAMNATION weren’t that intimidated by the other side as they were all handed cups of beer and tequila so they could have a toast at the start of the match. It didn’t take long for the match to devolve into a brawl around ringside and in the audience. Ohka missed the Fire Spear aimed for Daisuke Sasaki and hit Shimatani by accident instead. Tetsuya Endo wiped out a bunch of wrestlers with a Moonsault while Shimatani was put down by the rest of DAMNATION. Endo came back in to finish it with the Shooting Star Press.

Sasaki told Shimatani after the match that he brought together a good team and NOBUNATION should continue to exist. Sasaki told everyone he’s been drinking since 4 o’clock this morning then welcomed Shuji Ishikawa back for his first match in DDT since April. Ishikawa said he’s spent his time away from DDT practicing his karaoke. He came up with the name DAMNATION48 and sang a song while Endo and Mad Paulie danced beside him. Sasaki stopped the performance and scolded Ishikawa for his bad singing. Soma Takao scored it 7 out of 100. Ishikawa apologised and promised to spend the next four months practicing again.

Ishikawa’s main involvement on this show was to team with his Twin Towers partner Kohei Sato to take on Kazusada Higuchi & Yuki Iino in a heavyweight duos showdown. Although Higuchi was on the losing side, he requested to have another match with the Towers sometime. Ishikawa shared a drink with Sato and joked that they never drink together because Ishikawa can’t keep up with Sato!

Endo was perplexed by Hiroshi’s yoga talents but got his mind back in the game when SAGAT was in the ring. Endo & Paulie’s victory came when they focused on SAGAT.

The DAMNATION audition match was held under “Double Daisuke” rules. That meant there were two referees in the match, Daisuke Kiso and Daisuke Sasaki. Takao wrestled with a notebook in his hand so he could score Shota, PSYCHO and CHANGO on their performances. Takao revealed his comments after the match. CHANGO has goot technique and is clever. PSYCHO has awesome moves and is good as a teammate. Shota has been friends with Takao for around 12 years so they are already on good terms with each other. It was down to Sasaki to decide who gets to be inducted by DAMNATION. Sasaki said everyone fails and is rejected! Actually Sasaki isn’t sure because he’s so drunk right now. Never mind, let’s move on to the next match.

In the dark match Sasaki and Takanashi brought back their match from last year that was just an excuse to drink shots every 30 seconds. The rules this time was after every round (which lasted 30 seconds), they played a game involving a toy crocodile where you take turns pressing down its teeth until the toy bites one of them. If the toy bites a wrestler, they have to drink tequila. If the toy doesn’t bite them, they drink a beer instead. Round after round went by as the match regressed to the point where both Sasaki and Takanashi became too drunk to do anything. Endo had enough and called off the match. He questioned why this was even the dark match in the first place. As mentioned above, it was an excuse for them to get drunk.
