GANBARE☆WRESTLING “MACHINE GUN O BUPPANASE 2016”, 21/02/2016
Tokyo BASEMENT MON☆STAR

1. Wrestle Counselling: Shinichiro Tominaga Vs GENTARO
2. Fighting Flames War: Shibata Vs Hayato Mashita
3. Grudge Panda: J-Soul Pandita III IV Vs Dr. Kirico
4. Ganpuro Terrace House 3 Way Match -Public And Private Confusion-: Yumehito Imanari Vs Bambi Vs Manami Kanda
5. Ganpuro-gun Vs Tomodachi-gun ~Declaration Of War~: Ken Ohka, Shuichiro Katsumura & Osamu Namiguchi Vs Minoru Fujita, Madoka & Yukihiro Abe

So far Dr. Kirico has been either Atsushi Maruyama or Shuichiro Katsumura hidden under the mask. I’m not sure if J-Soul Pandita III IV is aware that it’s a different person everytime, it probably just sees the evil doctor that killed one of its kin two years ago.

DDT “INTO THE FIGHT 2016”, 28/02/2016
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

0. King Of Dark: Mizuki Watase (c) & Kota Umeda Vs Hiroshi Fukuda & Guanchulo

4. Special Single Match: Tetsuya Endo Vs Shuji Ishikawa
5. DDT Extreme Title – Single Match With 3 People: Kendo Kashin (c) Vs Antonio Honda Vs Yoshihiko
6. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Sanshiro Takagi, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata (c) Vs Kazusada Higuchi, Shunma Katsumata & Kouki Iwasaki
7. KO-D Openweight Title Next Challenger Final: HARASHIMA Vs Shigehiro Irie

The DNA team haven’t convinced T2Hide that they deserve their KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Title shot. Kazuki Hirata pinned Kouki Iwasaki with his Miracle Cradle in their non-title trios match. However the DNA team were able to beat Sanshiro Takagi & Toru Owashi in a separate trios match the day before.

LiLiCo will be in attendance. She is still the current Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion. I’m certain we’ll be introduced to her partners for Sumo Hall. Who could she get to face the Kawaii Connection? Should she fight fire with fire in this situation?

The Right To Challenge Match is held in Sumo Hall for the first time. The combined Ladder and Royal Rumble rules is one of the highlights of the DDT calander. No word yet on how many prizes will be on offer but the winner of the Rumble section will get a guaranteed KO-D Openweight Title match. The other prizes are usually Money In The Bank style contracts.

As the feud between Sanshiro Takagi and KENSO nears its end so too does the rivalry between T2Hide and #OhkaEmpire. If an Elimination Tag Match can determine which team is better then what is it they are truly fighting for? Oh right, the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles.

Daisuke Sasaki surprised everyone by bringing in Shuji Ishikawa to be his new tag partner. They begin their journey to Sumo Hall in Saitama.

GANBARE☆WRESTLING “TOMODACHI-GUN PRODUCE NEW YEAR SPECIAL BOX OFFICE ~ RUBBISH HEAP☆WRESTLING 2016 (INNOCENT WORLD 2016)”, 24/01/2016
Tokyo BASEMENT MON☆STAR
146 Fans – Super No Vacancy Full House

1. We’re The Heroes Of Ganpro! New Year Flames 3 Way: Haruka Kato (w/ Tomoya Kawamura) defeated Shibata (w/ Tomoya Kawamura) and Mitomi Masayuki (w/ Tomoya Kawamura) when Kato pinned Shibata with a Diving Body Attack (6:53).
2. New Year Spectacle Cottage Tag Match: Dr. Kirico (Shuichiro Katsumura) & Shibaten defeated Mr. No & J-Soul Pandita III IV when Kirico submitted Pandita with the Ninja Choke (9:18).
3. New Year Hidden Ball Special Tag Match: Madoka & PSYCHO defeated Shinichiro Tominaga & Tigger Bedscene when PSYCHO pinned Bedscene with the High Fly Bomb (15:18).
4. New Year Dream Handicap Hardcore “Carrot And Stick” Match ~ Imanari Cinematographer Lottery~: Bambi defeated Yumehito Imanari with the Standing Shining Wizard (8:03).
5. New Year Lottery 5 Way Match: Ken Ohka defeated Minoru Fujita, Hi69, Yukihiro Abe and Osamu Namiguchi when Ohka pinned Abe with the Spear Of Flame (10:30).

Against all odds Ken Ohka managed to spoil Tomodachi-gun’s party and win the 5 Way main event. The plan was for all of Tomodachi-gun to gang up on Ohka and beat him down 4 on 1. However Osamu Namiguchi had other ideas and tried to pin his own stablemates because the match was still all against each other. Minoru Fujita tried to keep things under control but his plan fell apart when Namiguchi helped Ohka fight the rest of Tomodachi-gun. They both hit a Spear on Fujita and Hi69 then Ohka Speared Yukihiro Abe for the three count. Namiguchi and Fujita brawled after the match and Fujita kicked Namiguchi out of Tomodachi-gun. Ohka grabbed a mic and said he wants to bring Abe back to Ganbare☆Wrestling. He also offered to team with Namiguchi again but Namiguchi declined and left ringside.

Both Bambi and Yumehito Imanari were given a specific weapon for their Hardcore match. Bambi had her whip and Imanari was given a bag of candy. He tried to hit Bambi with the bag but was whipped over and over instead. Bambi force fed him the candy after she won the match.

Madoka’s mystery partner turned out to be PSYCHO! They easily defeated Shinichiro Tominaga & Tigger Bedscene and PSYCHO was welcomed into Tomodachi-gun with open arms. PSYCHO was given a Tomodachi-gun T-shirt but he threw it down and walked away. Madoka then tried to act like PSYCHO wasn’t his friend and left the ring embarrassed.

During Match #2 Dr. Kirico unmasked himself to reveal it was Shuichiro Katsumura! With an assist from Shibaten he was able to submit J-Soul Pandita III IV. Katsumura apologised for sneaking onto the show in disguise and he then pulled out a piece of paper that had 宣戦布告 (Declaration of war) written on it. Until now he watched the feud between Ganpuro and Tomodachi-gun in silence. He now has his sights set on Fujita!

Tomodachi-gun claimed that the results of last month’s Ganbare☆Wrestling Grand Prix Awards were all mistakes. Here are the correct award results according to Tomodachi-gun.

MVP: Tomodachi-gun

Skills Award: Yukihiro Abe

Fighting Spirit Award: Minoru Fujita

Distinguished Service Medal: Osamu Namiguchi

Best Bout: Texas Tornado Hardcore Special Handicap Match: Ken Ohka, GENTARO, Shota & Bambi Vs Minoru Fujita, Hi69 & Osamu Namiguchi (“BAD COMMUNICATION 2015”, 23/09/2015)

Joshi Grand Prize: Bambi

Rookie Award: None

The Japanese wrestling scene is kind of falling apart at the moment but hey, at least Pro Wrestling BASARA signed a new wrestler. Ryuichi Sekine is jumping from K-DOJO to BASARA citing an opportunity to try new things in new places. TAKA Michinoku and Isami Kodaka confirmed the transfer at a press conference held today in Shinjuku and the change will be official on 21st January, the date of BASARA’s debut show. Sekine will honour his existing bookings with K-DOJO including a match against Tatsumi Fujinami set to take place in March. TAKA noted Sekine’s recent growth by wrestling in Big Japan and DDT’s spin off Tavern Wrestling. He also compared it to when he himself left Michinoku Pro. He is confident of Sekine’s new home promotion because Kodaka is also a K-DOJO graduate.

Tokyo Joshi is in Korakuen Hall for the first time and the main event crowns its first ever champion. Will it be Miyu Yamashita who was there from the beginning of the promotion’s reboot or will Shoko Nakajima add a title to go along with her Tokyo Princess Cup trophy?

The semi-main is filled with mystery. While Saki Akamiya has been unmasked she still denies being Saki Akai. Instead she is convinced she is an evil villain here to destroy. Meanwhile Akane Miura has been adopted as Poison Sawada JULIE’s protege. Is his Snake Magic all that she needs to become more powerful?

Has Candice LeRae ever fought a witch before? She can cross that off her bucket list when she faces Yuka Sakazaki.

My, my, my how Ganbare☆Wrestling has grown the last two years. The little indie got a spot in the RIZIN Martial Arts EXPO being held at Saitama Super Arena. Ken Ohka called it the next step for Ganbare to become a major sports company.

After the main event Shuichiro Katsumura said he loves martial arts but pro wrestling is also fun. He would like to see martial arts have more pro wrestling and pro wrestling to have more martial arts. Shibata interrupted the speech and stormed down to the ring. He told Katsumura that he will be facing Mitomi Masayuki on 31st December. Shibata then challenged Ohka to a match on the same date.

Before Match #2 began Shibata claimed that Fedor Emelianenko, Masato and Kid Yamamoto were all members of Enjo-gun. During the match he attacked Ohka with a selfie stick while the referee was distracted. Ohka recovered from the dirty tactics and hit the Spear Of Flame on Mitomi Masayuki to win the match for his team.

5. Ganbare☆Wrestling Vs Tomodachi-gun: Minoru Fujita & Yukihiro Abe defeated Ken Ohka & Shota when Fujita pinned Ohka with the Sasuke Segway (16:32).

The main event immediately began Ken Ohka and Yukihiro Abe brawling around ringside. Later members of Tomodachi-gun got rid of the referee whenever the Ganpuro team had the match won. Minoru Fujita took control and hit move after move on Ohka until he finally put him away with the Sasuke Segway. After the match Fujita offered Ohka an ultimatum. Either let Tomodachi-gun book the January show or they will all skip it and come back in February. Heck, maybe they’ll skip February too!

When Tomodachi-gun left ringside Ohka broke down into tears. The other members of Ganpuro all tried to fire him up with words of encouragement and also by physically striking him. Ohka snapped out of it and accepted Tomodachi-gun’s demand for next month.

The Ganbare☆Wrestling Grand Prix 2015 Awards were announced at the start of the show. A ceremony for the awards will take place on 24th January. The results are:
