GANBARE☆PRO “TOKIMEKI NISHISU 2022”, 03/12/2022
Yokohama Radiant Hall

1. GanPro Vs P.P.P: Yumehito Imanari & Yuna Manase Vs Kentaro Hachisu & Echika Miyabi
2. Tokimeki Nishisu 2022 Special Tag Match: Hartley Jackson & Seiya Morohashi Vs Shigehiro Irie & Mizuki Watase

This is one last chance for Watase to prove he will be some kind of threat against Hartley Jackson. The Spirit Of Ganbare Champion suddenly turned sour on the idea he could be welcomed into the Ganpro family because of Watase’s recent weak efforts against him. So this time Watase is calling in his buddy Shigehiro Irie to provide back up against the champ and Seiya Morohashi. The power of RENEGADES may be just what Watase needs.

Yuna Manase and Echika Miyabi are in another match together after the two enjoyed their first rendezvous. This time the match is attracting other members of Ganpro and P.P.P Tokyo because Yumehito Imanari and Kentaro Hachisu are getting involved too.

DDT “D-OU GRAND PRIX 2022 THE FINAL”, 04/12/2022
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. DDT Extreme Title: Joey Janela (c) Vs Jun Akiyama
2. D-Ou Grand Prix 2022 – Final: Yuki Ueno Vs Yukio Naya

The D-Ou Grand Prix final is between Yuki Ueno and Yukio Naya. Ueno lost in last year’s final and is determined not to repeat that result. Naya has already called his shot after he wins the tournament to challenge Kazusada Higuchi for the KO-D Openweight Title in Tokyo Dome City Hall at the end of the year.

Why does Eddie Kingston get to have all the fun? Joey Janela wants to fight Jun Akiyama too and is willing to put the DDT Extreme Title on the line for it to happen.

DDT “DANSHOKU DIENO 20TH ANNIVERSARY BOOK PUBLICATION COMMEMORATION”, 21/12/2022
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Selfishly For The 2nd Time In 20 Years, A Single Match That Danshoku Dieno Just Wants To See: Yuki “Sexy” Iino Vs Yumehito “Fantastic” Imanari
2. Selfishly For The 1st Time In 20 Years, Danshoku Dieno’s Self-Satisfaction Match: Danshoku Dieno Vs Muscle Sakai

A book launch to celebrate 20 years in the business is a good enough reason to give Danshoku Dieno some match making powers for the event. He is happily being selfish with the power by booking himself against his old friend Muscle Sakai. He also wants to see what Yuki Iino versus Yumehito Imanari would be like.

GANBARE☆PRO “GIRI GIRI CHOP! 2022”, 27/12/2022
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Munetatsu Nakamura Debut Match: Munetatsu Nakamura Vs X
2. Kouki Iwasaki Ganbare☆Pro Wrestling Last Match: Keisuke Ishii Vs Kouki Iwasaki
3. Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Title: Hartley Jackson (c) Vs Mizuki Watase

The new rookie Munetatsu Nakamura is a 21 year old college student from Chiba. He is 168cm tall, weighs 65kg and his athletic experience is with wrestling and Judo. Nakamura originally trained for the DDTeeeen!! project but never wrestled a match (unless he was Ilusion all along but I have no evidence to back that up). Instead he switched his training over to Ganpro earlier this year and will make his pro debut with them.

DDT “NEVER MIND 2022”, 29/12/2022
Tokyo Dome City Hall

1. Pheromones Vs “Miyako & Ward” Pheromones Subjugation Allied Forces: Yuki “Sexy” Iino, Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno, Yumehito “Fantastic” Imanari & Koju “Shining Ball” Takeda Vs Akito, Osamu Nishimura, Shinichiro Kawamatsu & Shunma Katsumata
2. Special Tag Match: Saki Akai & Yuki Arai Vs Saori Anou & Riko Kawahata
3. KO-D Openweight Title: Kazusada Higuchi (c) Vs X

The KO-D Title shot at the end of the year is not the automatic prize for the D-Ou winner but it’s clear Ueno or Naya is going to get it.

Akito needs some powerful and influential people to help him keep Pheromones under control or else DDT is at risk of being banned from Korakuen Hall and probably all the other venues within Tokyo Dome City. Who could be more powerful and influential than politcians? Osamu Nishimura & Shinichiro Kawamatsu are here to help. Shunma Katsumata is also getting dragged into the fight.

It’s already been announced but here’s a reminder that Konosuke Takeshita and Cara Noir will be on the show. Takeshita is still part of the DDT roster along with his new affiliation with AEW.

DDT “WHO’S GONNA TOP? 2022” Results

September 25, 2022

DDT “WHO’S GONNA TOP? 2022”, 25/09/2022
Tokyo Korakuen Hall
701 Fans – Super No Vacancy Full House

0. Dark Match: Hideki Okatani & Toi Kojima defeated Yuya Koroku & Yuki Ishida when Okatani pinned Ishida with the Double Arm Suplex (6:37).
1. MAO, Asuka & Saki Akai defeated Toru Owashi, Kazuki Hirata & Antonio Honda when Akai pinned Honda with the Rookie Award (6:44).
2. Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere 3 Way Match: Shinya Aoki defeated Shunma Katsumata and Yuki “Sexy” Iino (w/ Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno) when Aoki pinned Katsumata with the European Clutch (6:58).
3. Special Tag Match: Akito & Yukio Naya defeated Osamu Nishimura & Shinichiro Kawamatsu when Naya submitted Kawamatsu with the Torture Cobra Twist (11:41).
4. Daisuke Sasaki, Minoru Fujita & KANON (w/ MJ Paul) defeated Naomi Yoshimura, Yuji Hino & Makoto Oishi when Sasaki submitted Oishi with the Crossface Lock (11:21).
5. Sanshiro Takagi, HARASHIMA, Yukio Sakaguchi & Soma Takao defeated Tetsuya Endo, Jun Akiyama, Yusuke Okada & Takeshi Masada when Sakaguchi pinned Okada with the God’s Right Knee (11:18).
6. DDT Universal Title: Yuki Ueno (c) defeated Cara Noir with the WR (13:01).
*V1 for Yuki Ueno.
7. KO-D Openweight Title: Kazusada Higuchi (c) defeated Konosuke Takeshita with the Buchikamashi (18:57).
*V2 for Kazusada Higuchi.

A hard headed effort from Kazusada Higuchi withstood the challenge of Konosuke Takeshita, preventing the KO-D Openweight Title from leaving Japan once Takeshita goes back to America. Higuchi’s iron toughness was on show when Takeshita pulled him by the arms, driving him head first into the steel ring post. Higuchi took a second long pause to register what happened and calmly fired back with a Headbutt that drew some blood from Takeshita’s forehead. Higuchi later attempted a big Choke Slam from the top rope but it was countered into a Frankensteiner followed by the Zahi. Higuhci kicked out of that and also the German Suplex before catching the Jumping Knee. More big bombs were thrown between the two and Takeshita finally hit the Jumping Knee. What he didn’t see coming was Higuchi standing firm and then charging in with the Buchikamashi sumo tackle. That put Takeshita down for the three count and Higuchi remains the champion.

After the match Takeshita gave his approval to Higuchi for being the champion and told him to do his best. He will be in America for around two and a half months before coming back for a DDT booking at the end of the year. Shinya Aoki then came down to ringside but rather than tease cashing in his title shot, he reached through the ropes to give Higuchi a fist bump instead and left. Yukio Sakaguchi then came out during Higuchi’s victory speech. He said Higuchi understands why he came out and he still does not understand true fear the likes of which Sakaguchi is capable of. Higuchi accepted his challenge and the two former “brothers” will fight for the KO-D Title on 23rd October.

You ever hear when wrestling commentators joke about how “it ain’t ballet”? Isn’t that in reality an insult backfire when you think about it? I’ve watched footage of ballet training and that stuff looks like hell on Earth even when compared to pro wrestling drills. Okay, okay, I’m getting distracted because I don’t want to make the usual theatre puns when writing about Cara Noir. The English wrestler performed his big entrance for the fans and then jumped Yuki Ueno with a John Woo Dropkick. Ueno was able to defend himself and escape from the Blackout Sleeper. He then returned with a Dropkick of his own, hitting Noir right in his face. The WR afterwards got Ueno the win and a successful DDT Universal Title defence under his belt.

There is a language barrier between the two but Ueno thanked Noir for coming to Japan after their match. It is a difficult time for Ueno to do what he wants and defend the Universal Title abroad, so he appreciates foreign opponents coming to DDT to challenge him. The three main members of Pheromones then entered the ring. Yuki Iino stepped over to Ueno and then turned around, revealing Ueno’s iPhone sticking out of his butt. Ueno pulled out his phone and found out he got a message from Koju Takeda. He read the message containing accusations that he does not have enough Pheromones. Takeda wants to measure their hormone levels together and so challenges Ueno for the Universal Title on 23rd October. Ueno accepts and wants to see how much Takeda has changed since their days in DNA together.

Sakaguchi cemented his claim for a KO-D Title shot by grabbing the win in Match #5. He was part of a DDT all veteran team against three members of BURNING along with the rookie Takeshi Masada. For some reason Sanshiro Takagi was a target for the opposing team. Tetsuya Endo got some ring time with HARASHIMA but Masada in particular wanted to beat Takagi. Jun Akiyama explained to the reporters backstage it’s because pro wrestling is the only place where it is acceptable to beat up the company president. It’s also acceptable to kick the heck out of Yusuke Okada like Sakaguchi did to win the match. Soma Takao was just kind of there. Even he noticed that he isn’t in any of the match pictures on DDT’s website.

DAMNATION T.A gave some of their next KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles opponents a taste of what’s to come. Minoru Fujita & KANON had their hands full with Naomi Yoshimura & Yuji Hino until MJ Paul got into a brawl with Hino out of the ring and up towards the balcony. Daisuke Sasaki had Makoto Oishi right where he wanted him from there. DAMNATION T.A benefited from the numbers game and Sasaki ended up tapping out Oishi with the Crossface Lock. Sasaki mocked Oishi for being so weak and wanted to injure him with a chair. Suddenly Shiori Asahi’s music began playing and he ran out to rescue his friend, fighting off Sasaki with a skateboard. Together, Oishi & Asahi then gave KANON the Cactus Flower. Asahi said it’s been a long time since he showed up as X on DDT shows. Hino said Ω is getting closer to a complete recovery. They will show DAMNATION T.A what real evil looks like when they take the KO-D 6-Man Tag Titles from them!

The politician tag team of Osamu Nishimura & Shinichiro Kawamatsu were back at it again, this time wrestling against Akito & Yukio Naya. Two two are becoming more cohesive by doing double team moves together. However Naya was able to break them apart and submit Kawamatsu with the Cobra Twist. Nishimura gave advice to Kawamatsu by comparing a wrestling career to an election. Elections are the accumulation of everything politicians do day by day. Kawamatsu admits that every time he steps into the ring to wrestle his head goes blank and everything happens at a blink of an eye. Akito thinks this won’t be the last we see of Kawamatsu. Naya meanwhile has more important matters to get ready for.

Aoki had no choice but to put his Right To Challenge NFT on the line against Shunma Katsumata and Yuki Iino in a 3 Way Match. Katsumata dealt with Iino by sticking party poppers into his backside and setting them off. What he couldn’t have anticipated was Aoki turning into a Pheromones gimmick! He reappeared wearing very little and pinned Katsumata with the European Clutch. He still hasn’t publicly told people when he wants to cash in the NFT for a KO-D Title shot. The only hint he gives is it will happen soon.

Romance was unexpectedly in the air during the opening bout. Toru Owashi and Antonio Honda’s grappling gradually turned into them slowly embracing each other for a kiss. That was interrupted by the others but soon some unintentional hugging led to Saki Akai wanting to kiss Asuka and MAO wanting to kiss Kazuki Hirata. Before they could almost all of them snapped back to normal and Akai pinned Honda with the Rookie Award. Asuka was left in a frozen state with her eyes closed, still waiting for Akai to kiss her. Yukinori Matsui woke her up causing Asuka to scream at the sight of him and leave.

The dark match saw Hideki Okatani & Toi Kojima beat Yuya Koroku & Yuki Ishida in a tag battle between the young generation. Ishida kicked out of Okatani’s Northern Lights Suplex so Okatani had to pull out the Double Arm Suplex for the win.

19 year old trainee Kazuma Sumi will make his debut against Kazuki Hirata on 23rd October. He spoke to the crowd and called Hirata a very talented person so he will do his best. Sumi has a background in karate and gymnastics. He is the second of the trainee class introduced in May to make his debut, the first being Takeshi Masada.

Danshoku Dieno has written a book to celebrate his 20th Anniversary in pro wrestling. He said he lied to the publisher about making a self-help book to convince them to sell it. However he will be covering topics about the pro wrestling business from his point of view based on his two decades of experience. It will be available in December and Dieno is hosting a special event at Korakuen Hall on the 21st to commemorate the release. Attendees will receive a copy of the book but the cost of it will be added on top of the ticket price.

The D-Ou Grand Prix 2022 lineup was revealed. The A Block consists of Yuki Ueno, Naomi Yoshimura, Joey Janela, Tetsuya Endo, Daisuke Sasaki and Rickey Shane Page. The B Block consists of Kazusada Higuchi, Chris Brookes, MAO, Yuji Hino, KANON and Yukio Naya.

9. KO-D Openweight Title: Kazusada Higuchi (c) Vs Tetsuya Endo

It’s back to Ota Ward Gymnasium for this year’s edition of “WRESTLE PETER PAN”. For what is usually one of DDT’s biggest shows of the year, things don’t feel as such this time around. For DDT it’s still a big event but against the rest of the wrestling scene, I’m not feeling it as much this year. Choosing Ota Ward is a downgrade from a usual venue choice like Sumo Hall and DDT themselves have made reference to ticket sales not being that great. The company challenged its roster to sell more tickets with better quality lunches as their rewards. The last update they gave on that was they reached the “Nori Bento” level which refers to between 775 and 1,000 tickets sold. DDT wants their attendance numbers to return to what they were before the pandemic happened. That is going to stay a tough challenge for them until Japan moves past their covid restrictions. Even then it’s hard to say if DDT can grow back their audience. You can’t entirely blame the pandemic for shrinking wrestling’s popularity in Japan when a company like Stardom is growing like crazy over there under the same environment.

This show can end up becoming a turnaround in fortunes though. Through unexpected circumstances a new wind is blowing through the company as DDT’s current two top wrestlers battle over who should be carrying the flag. The man the company was built around for the last few years has all of a sudden gained a brand new global fanbase and maybe a chunk of them will follow him back to see what DDT is like. One of the most infamous wrestlers on the American indie scene has come over wanting to carve his name into the history books. A first time mixed tag match will offer something never seen before. Actual politicians will fight each other. And if that’s not enough, LiLiCo will be there with an important news update she wants to tell everyone.

1. Yusuke Okada, Yuya Koroku & Ilusion Vs Toi Kojima, Yuki Ishida & Takeshi Masada

Some of the youngest wrestlers in DDT gather together for the opening match. And also Yusuke Okada who is only 29 years old even though some days he looks about 42. He’s the veteran base of the match while Yuya Koroku and Toi Kojima get to bring their classmate rivalry onto a big stage. Their clashes in all of the BURNING Vs The 37KAMIINA matches over the last year are fun to watch. Yuki Ishida is showing improvement with his performances and developing more fire power to make up for his lack of size. Ilusion has been used sparingly over the summer because the DDTeeeen!! project hasn’t been publicly active. The few opportunities he’s been getting are at least moving him away from his rival El Unicorn so he gets to show they are not attached by the hip. But the spotlight right now is shining brightly on Takeshi Masada. He just had his debut match after only three months of training and dazzled everyone with his performance. If he keeps in good health over the next few years (always remember that rookies break easily) DDT could have a new supernova on their hands.

2. 3 Way 6-Man Tag Match: Yuki “Sexy” Iino, Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno & Koju “Shining Ball” Takeda (w/ Yumehito “Fantastic” Imanari) Vs Yuji Hino, Yukio Naya & Super Sasadango Machine Vs Toru Owashi, Kazuki Hirata & Antonio Honda

Is 2022 the year of Pheromones? The DDT shows that allow cheering usually has that unit getting the most reactions. Maybe it’s because they still use the canned cheering for their ring announcements or maybe it’s because chanting “Sexy!” out loud while sticking out your pinky fingers is a lot of fun. One thing for sure is Pheromones has become more stronger with the latest and perhaps final addition to the unit. A perverted looking masked man began following the group around and was eventually revealed to be Koju Takeda. He appeared in DDT before and is a former KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champion but now has a bigger presence in the company under the name Koju “Shining Ball” Takeda. He’s never been shy about showing off his physique so he is a perfect fit for Pheromones, perhaps filling in the gaps that Yuki Iino and Danshoku Dieno could not fill. Was that meant to be written as a double entendre? You tell me.

The other two teams in this match can’t help but look plain in comparison. Yuji Hino & Yukio Naya have spent over a year bonding as a tag team and working together under the ONLY WE banner. It’s given Naya the ability to finally start climbing up the ladder and reach even a little bit of the potential that others see in him. Super Sasadango Machine is an odd third man to be on that team but this is an odd match to begin with. The other trio is made up of wrestlers sometimes nicknamed The DDT Variety Team. Whenever you get Toru Owashi, Kazuki Hirata & Antonio Honda all in the same ring you are guaranteed to get some nonsense coming from them.

3. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Naomi Yoshimura, Kota Umeda & Keisuke Okuda Vs HARASHIMA, Yukio Sakaguchi & Hideki Okatani

We are getting treated to a DNA reunion on the show. The developmental brand for DDT became redundant in 2018 but many wrestlers who came from it have become regular parts of several wrestling rosters. Naomi Yoshimura was a key part of DNA’s second half of its existence and he wanted to team with two men who were a constant presence around him during his time there. His rival Kota Umeda and his ally Keisuke Okuda. Umeda is a part time wrestler with some re-appearances in DDT every now and then. But Okuda’s name being brought up is intriguing. He was once under contract to DDT for two years then left the company for DRAGONGATE. Then recently there seems to be an apparent split between the two and suddenly Okuda is back in DDT by Yoshimura’s request. Maybe it’s just a one time reunion for old time’s sake.

Whether it is or it isn’t, Okuda has another reason to come back. He’s looking for a fight with Yukio Sakaguchi, thinking he is a scared old man. In response to this, Sakaguchi’s Eruption buddy Hideki Okatani is stepping in also wanting to join in the scrap the second it kicks off. Their team needs a calming presence so maybe HARASHIMA can keep things under control with his many years of wisdom under his belt. But he and Yoshimura are on course for a KO-D Tag Team Titles match in the future and they have a lot of recent history together. If the wrong guy gets provoked here then all hell could break loose.

4. Shinichiro Kawamatsu Debut Match ~ Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly Member Vs Bunkyo Ward Assembly Member: Shinichiro Kawamatsu, Sanshiro Takagi & Soma Takao Vs Osamu Nishimura, Makoto Oishi & Akito

I don’t have a clue about Japanese politics other than Sanshiro Takagi tried it once and it left him traumatized. It seems that the wrestling bug has bitten Shinichiro Kawamatsu from the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly after the publicity stunt where he won and defended the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title. To show his gratitude to DDT and their fans, he decided to try and have a go as a pro wrestler for real. Finding time to train in between his political duties, Kawamatsu is having his official debut match against another politician. One who knows the wrestling ring very well.

Osamu Nishimura has been wrestling for over 31 years but his main priority nowadays is his council work in his hometown of Bunkyo Ward. There is a friendly link between the two in the lead up to the match because Kawamatsu is a longtime fan of Nishimura. Kawamatsu is even focusing his wrestling training on matwork specifically because he wants to fight against Nishimura’s Muga style of pro wrestling. The soft political atmosphere of the match is inspiring Soma Takao because it is taking place in his hometown of Ota Ward. It may end up spurring him on into campaigning for a seat on the Ota Ward Council in the future. Makoto Oishi & Akito will be there to provide more challenges for Kawamatsu. They should be eager to impress Nishimura in the process too.

5. Special Mixed Tag Match: Jun Akiyama & Saki Akai Vs Chris Brookes & Asuka

Jun Akiyama’s time as a coach in DDT has been invaluable to those who are learning from him. It’s worked out so well that Saki Akai asked him to team with her on this show so she can become a stronger wrestler. Akiyama accepted her request as long as she knew he will treat her no differently to any other wrestler in DDT. When it was decided they were going to get a Mixed Tag Match, Chris Brookes & Asuka was chosen to be their opponents. It will be the first time Akiyama takes part in a Mixed Tag Match. Asuka teased him at a press conference saying she has a good reputation as an opponent for first timers and she’ll be one woman he will never forget!

The whole match has Asuka feeling pretty confident. She has never lost to Akai before and is certain it won’t happen anytime soon. Still, she is encouraging her opponents to work hard together so she will get a good challenge out of them. Akai gave Asuka’s comments a lot of thought. She thinks all wrestlers walk their own paths. Akai’s path may be slower than Asuka’s or maybe it is just a detour. She isn’t going to stay feeling sorry for herself when she has a chance to learn from Akiyama. Brookes is excited about the match because it is a fresh experience for everyone involved. He has previously fought against Asuka in tag matches but they can start something brand new when they team together. Brookes even thinks a new history will begin if Asuka gets the pinfall on Akiyama!

6. DDT Extreme Title – Special Hardcore Match: Joey Janela (c) Vs Shunma Katsumata

It’s “The Bad Boy” against “The Happy Boy”! Joey Janela’s tour of DDT has been two years in the making after his constant viral wrestling matches caught Takagi’s attention. Little appetizers were put together in the meantime with Yoshihiko and the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title being sent over to America for Janela to interact with. When the time came for Janela to finally visit Japan, he wasted no time in making an impact by winning the DDT Extreme Title in the infamous IPPON Lighttube Death Match. A Hardcore Match against Shunma Katsumata was already scheduled before his title win so it is now even more important with the championship stakes being added. Katsumata has developed his own hardcore style in DDT but how different is it to anything that Janela has experienced before? The American has experienced death matches in many forms from violent to wacky. Janela’s goal is to become the greatest foreign wrestler ever in DDT. That’s a tall task given those who previously called the company their Japanese home promotion. But hey, if Janela didn’t have the guts to aim high he wouldn’t have achieved so much in his crazy career. I mean he has a match against Ernest “The Cat” Miller coming up in GCW soon. What if that ends up becoming a DDT Extreme Title match?

7. DDT Universal Title: Masahiro Takanashi (c) Vs Yuki Ueno

The DDT Universal Title is on the line in a battle between old and new generations of DDT. When Masahiro Takanashi won the title he wanted to do two things. Travel the world with the championship because that is the original point of the title and defend it against all of the younger wrestlers who have stepped up over the last two years while he was out injured. He’s barely gotten started and already he has a high wall in the form of Yuki Ueno standing in his way. The former Universal Champion wants the belt back so he can make DDT more exciting in his own way. The build up consisted of Ueno standing tall in the warmup matches and Takanashi being in physical positions where he has no choice but to look up at his challenger. Even though Takanashi is the champion, he is coming into the match looking like the underdog. But that’s always been the story with him. He wouldn’t be Masahiro Takanashi if he didn’t have to climb up from the bottom each and every time.

8. DDT 25th Anniversary Special 6-Man Tag Match: Dick Togo, Daisuke Sasaki & KANON (w/ MJ Paul) Vs Konosuke Takeshita, MAO & Yasu Urano

Did you ever hear the saying it takes an artist ten years to become an overnight success? It kind of feels like that here. This summer the entire wrestling world fell in love with Konosuke Takeshita. In return he fell in love with America and also Cinnabon. Mostly Cinnabon. Almost entirely Cinnabon. He won’t stop eating their food. Anyway, his excursion to America for both AEW and the independent scene led to rave reviews across the board and even sparked a lot of gossip about his future. Should AEW try to sign him full time and throw him further into their murderer’s row of main eventers? Will a reinvigorated WWE poach him in their search for a new Japanese superstar to add to their roster? How never ending can the line of indie wrestlers wanting to challenge him become? All of a sudden DDT better be careful not to lose the supernova they’ve spent the last decade building their company around because he is very quickly becoming an attraction overseas. He’s back in Japan for two months before continuing his excursion so DDT are putting together some attraction matches for him while he is home.

The attraction here is the return of Dick Togo to DDT. The man has done it all in wrestling from all angles, from being revered for his skills to being despised for his role in with House Of Torture over in New Japan. It looks like Togo is coming to DDT under his normal guise but he always liked to cheat anyway. Plus he is siding with DAMNATION T.A and expecting clean play to come out of them is foolish. Togo is one of the few people who can get Daisuke Sasaki somewhat motivated to improve himself. The timing is right for that to happen here because Sasaki is going to be Takeshita’s opponent for his 10th Anniversary match next month. That’s not all. MJ Paul will be at ringside as the wild card and there is also KANON who has been really promising so far since his entry into DDT. Takeshita has MAO & Yasu Urano to make up a talented trio but can they mesh together as well as DAMNATION T.A can? If they don’t then Takeshita will wish he was back in the states tucking into another Center Of The Roll.

9. KO-D Openweight Title: Kazusada Higuchi (c) Vs Tetsuya Endo

One slap earlier this year created a butterfly effect resulting in a new turbulent wind blowing across DDT. The main event of this year’s “WRESTLE PETER PAN” was probably always supposed to be Kazusada Higuchi Vs Tetsuya Endo but the roles they are in and how we got there is very different. In March Endo walked out of Sumo Hall as the new KO-D Openweight Champion and the man to carry DDT forward. That only lasted until June thanks to the slap heard around the world. A DDT Vs NOAH inter-promotional match at “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2022” prematurely ended when Katsuhiko Nakajima knocked out Endo with a slap across the face after an awkward exchange where neither looked to be on the same page with the other. The aftermath was disastrous for DDT. Intentional or not, their champion was easily defeated on the big stage for the entire world to see. Even worse, Endo was now out of action with a concussion and a decision was made for him to vacate his championship while he recovered. DDT needed a new flag bearer and quickly went to work setting that person up.

DDT was at least able to get the timing right with their backup plan. The King Of DDT tournament was next on the schedule after “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2022” and the vacant KO-D Title was now up for grabs. Higuchi literally waved the DDT flag in Saitama Super Arena and made it clear he was the best choice to lead the promotion in Endo’s absence. He spent his 8 year career struggling to win the KO-D Title and finally achieved his goal by winning the tournament. His victory was a crowning moment both literally and symbolically because he was given the flag once more to represent his emergence as DDT’s strongest wrestler. That was when the new wind started blowing. Higuchi left his unit Eruption to form Harimao with Yoshimura. He also called out his first challenger… Tetsuya Endo!

Endo recovered from his concussion and wanted his return to the ring to be a fresh restart. He accepted the knockout he suffered counts as a loss no matter how you look at it. It wasn’t his intention to immediately return to challenging for the KO-D Title but once Higuchi called him out, he couldn’t resist. Also Endo feels the need to repay his fans for their continued support by becoming the champion again. He answered by throwing out his own title challenge to Higuchi just because it is tradition for the contender to approach the champion instead of vice versa. He went to get advice from Kenta Kobashi like he always does before his important matches. Kobashi’s advice to him was he needs to be angry more and should use the injury as fuel for that. That may be for another story to be told on another day though. This weekend Endo’s focus needs to be on Higuchi and just Higuchi. He has a winning singles record against him but only just. In their previous six singles matches together Endo has three wins, Higuchi has two and there was a Double KO between them. Whoever wins this 7th battle will carry the DDT flag from here on out!

1. 4 Vs 4 Survival Tag Match: Shuichiro Katsumura, Shota, Washi Sakurai & Minoru Fujita (3) defeated Keisuke Ishii, Yumehito Imanari, Shinichiro Tominaga & Kouki Iwasaki (2).
1a. Shota & Washi Sakurai defeated Yumehito Imanari & Kouki Iwasaki when Shota pinned Imanari with a Cradle (11:27).
1b. Shinichiro Tominaga & Kouki Iwasaki defeated Shota & Washi Sakurai when Iwasaki submitted Sakurai with a Texas Cloverleaf (8:07).
1c. Shinichiro Tominaga & Kouki Iwasaki defeated Shuichiro Katsumura & Shota when Iwasaki pinned Shota with a Ground Cobra Twist (1:27).
1d. Shuichiro Katsumura & Minoru Fujita defeated Shinichiro Tominaga & Kouki Iwasaki when Fujita pinned Tominaga with the Modified Samson Clutch (8:11).
1e. Shuichiro Katsumura & Minoru Fujita defeated Keisuke Ishii & Kouki Iwasaki by TKO when Katsumura used the Ninja Choke on Iwasaki (16:30).

A unique match format was used for the tag team elimination match. Every round was a regular two vs two tag match. Whoever lost a fall would be eliminated and replaced by a teammate until one team was reduced to its last remaining member. Shuichiro Katsumura surprised everyone with the secret fourth member of his team. Everyone in the room expected it to be Ken Ohka. Instead it was Minoru Fujita! Katsumura even gave a big hint it was him by wearing a Fujita shirt to the ring. He jokingly called Fujita “The Fake Ken Ohka”.

The match began with Yumehito Imanari & Kouki Iwasaki on one side and Shota & Washi Sakurai on the other. Imanari tried to give Shota a Fisherman Suplex but Shota pulled him down by the hair and pinned him for the first elimination. Shinichiro Tominaga came in yet it was Iwasaki who got Sakurai to give up with a Texas Cloverleaf. Iwasaki then caught Shota in a Ground Cobra Twist for another elimination. That left Katsumura & Fujita as the last pair left on their team. Fujita summoned the spirit of Ken Ohka to fight like an underdog. He used a Modified Samson Clutch to get rid of Tominaga. That meant the last man left outside Keisuke Ishii was now able to enter the match. Katsumura trapped Iwasaki in the Ninja Choke and the match was stopped when Iwasaki went motionless.

Katsumura praised Fujita for coming to help him while Ohka wasn’t around. Fujita isn’t the Fake Ken Ohka. He is Shin Ken Ohka! Fujita explained he is in perfect condition because he has wrestled throughout the entire pandemic while everyone else stayed home. He told the others to call him whenever Ohka isn’t around. Do not call him Shin Ken Ohka. He should be more like Shin Osamu Namiguchi from Shin Ganbare☆Wrestling!

6. Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title: Ken Ohka (c) defeated “brother” YASSHI with the Fire Spear (20:45).
*V3 for Ken Ohka.

The Independent World Jr. Title still belongs to Ken Ohka after a hard fought victory against “brother” YASSHI. Ohka kicked out of YASSHI’s big moves like the Nice Jamaica and the Flying Big Head. Ohka hit back with a Headbutt and a short range Fire Spear for a nearfall. Ohka then finished YASSHI off with a Veritcal Drop Brainbuster and another Fire Spear to win. Ohka gave an emotional speech to YASSHI after the match. Ohka didn’t know anything when they first met. He wasn’t physically strong or had any athletic achievements but he still wanted to be a pro wrestler. So he found the Dragon System, joined their wrestling school and met YASSHI for the first time. Ohka can’t say who was the bigger fool of the two when they went their seperate ways. Ohka had quit and returned to wrestling so many times over 17 years. Today in Shinjuku FACE he and YASSHI had a big match together. He is so happy he gets to wrestle his colleagues now. Ohka fell onto YASSHI and hugged him. YASSHI was crying too and he didn’t know why. He didn’t care about winning a championship today. He came here today to look for an answer and now he found it. He wanted to fight a confident and emotional wrestler who would put it all on the line with no regrets. Today’s match wasn’t for “brother” YASSHI, it was for Yasushi Tsujimoto. He said there is not a single wrestler like Ken Ohka in this industry. YASSHI pleaded with Ohka to continue wrestling and to do so with pride. With the silly emotional stuff out of the way, YASSHI snapped back to his regular self and told Ohka he made a jealous enemy today. When they meet again in this ring, YASSHI will kill him!

When YASSHI left ringside, Ohka went into his finishing speech but was suddenly interrupted by an unexpected visitor. It was Daisuke Sasaki and he was carrying the DDT Extreme Title! Sasaki thought Ohka was going to lose but he proved him wrong. Sasaki called it a great match that moved him and he hopes the 3 Way Match in DDT on 24th September will be just as good. He wanted to shake Ohka’s hand. It was a trap and Sasaki kicked Ohka below the belt! Sasaki mocked Ohka for falling for his trap. He doesn’t care about championships, he’s here to win the 660,000 yen that Ohka would have gambled had he lost his championship today. Ohka told Sasaki he has no need to gamble it now. His Independent World Jr. Title will be defended in the match as planned so he has no need to put his money on the line anymore. Sasaki silenced Ohka when he pulled something out of his pocket. It was Ohka’s savings book! Sasaki stole it backstage during the main event. Sasaki looked through it and discovered that Ohka now has 714,146 yen in his account. Ohka called for help and several Ganpuro wrestlers ran into the ring to grab the book. Sasaki fought all of them off. Ohka got up and Headbutted Sasaki. He went for the Fire Spear but Sasaki dodged it and Ohka speared himself into the turnbuckles. Sasaki fled the ring with Ohka’s savings book. Ohka’s money is gone but he will still defend his title in DDT on 24th September. Then he will defend it again against MIYAWAKI back in Ganbare☆Wrestling on 30th September.

The Awakening Power Bomb that Keisuke Ishii used to win his match is a Sit Down Thunder Fire Power Bomb. The match was also Shota’s return bout for Ganbare☆Wrestling. His first match back from injury happened the day before in Guts World. His partner for the match Yumehito Imanari apologised for taking the fall and letting him down.

Shuichiro Katsumura stopped Osamu Namiguchi with a Benadryller style High Kick to win by TKO. Although he was still dazed, Namiguchi grabbed a microphone and thanked Katsumura for not holding back against this dying semi-pro wrestler. However Namiguchi wasn’t satisfied by how he lost and now feels like the worst wrestler in Japan. He begged Katsumura to strike him right in the brain and finish him off. Katsumura said he didn’t understand what Namiguchi was saying. He noted that the match they just had was advertised as a Shinjuku bout. So they should have more matches against each other in places like Shin-Kiba and other cities. Namiguchi shouted with approval.

Nanaka Kawamura made quite an entrance for her debut wrestling match. She entered wearing a hockey mask, carrying a floral designed chainsaw and was accompanied by four other girls doing the same. Emi Sakura was announced as the “Youngest Active Idol Wrestler” during her introduction, which made her glare at the ring announcer. She also glared at Kawamura when she offered a respectful handshake at the start of the match. Sakura & Riho put Kawamura through the usual rookie’s welcome while HARUKAZE did what she could to aid her partner. Kawamura eventually submitted to Sakura’s Shukurimu but was praised by Ken Ohka after the match. Ohka urged Kawamura to continue and one day she will get her first victory. Ohka then praised Sakura for her entire career but accidentaly made her mad when he said she gave up the chance of marriage to do what she does. Sakura scolded Ohka for his words then turned to Kawamura. Sakura is happy to get new challenges and Kawamura should be too. Kawamura said it was her mother’s dream to become a pro wrestler and today she made it come true on her behalf. Kawamura wants Sakura to come back so they can have more matches together.

There was a special guest in attendance for today’s show. Katsuji Nagashima has worked behind the scenes for New Japan and World Japan. He spoke with several wrestlers in the ring throughout the show and asked for everyone to nickname him Wolf. He handed a book to Imanari and told him it was the same book he gave to Kensuke Sasaki when he convinced him to leave New Japan for World Japan. He said he made Sasaki betray Riki Choshu. Now he thinks Imanari should betray Sanshiro Takagi! At the end of the show he told Ohka he was surprised by what he saw. He felt like he watched pro wrestling for the first time again. He offered to lend Ohka 10,000 yen after he saw Sasaki steal his money. He then asked Ohka to call him Wolf again.

4. Recovery And Memory Of K: Makoto Oishi & Shiori Asahi defeated Hi69 & Shinichiro Tominaga when Oishi pinned Tominaga after the Cactus Flower (13:03).
5. Ganbare☆Wrestling Vs Shin Ganbare☆Wrestling: Kenso Ohka & Osamu Namiguchi defeated Ken Ohka & Shuichiro Katsumura when Namiguchi pinned Ken Ohka after Kenso Ohka did the Spear Of Fire From The Heart (18:30).

The Twin Ganbare War continued with the original promotion and its counterfit battling each other in a Tag Team Match. Both teams came out to “Bad Communication” and a ringside brawl was quick to happen. Shibata interfered to help out Shin Ganbare☆Wrestling but Ken Ohka got rid of him and hit Osamu Namiguchi with the Spear Of Fire. The referee counted the pin until Shibata pulled him out of the ring. Namiguchi gave Ohka the Lanakila-X then Kenso Ohka hit his version of the Spear Of Fire. Namiguchi got the pin while Shibata held onto Shuichiro Katsumura outside the ring. Kenso gave the referee a Vertical Drop Brainbuster after the match. Shibata was introduced as the newest member of Shin Ganpuro. When they left, Ken Ohka tried to rally his fans. He’s spent four years building Ganbare☆Wrestling and no matter how bad things get he will always be proud of the company. He’s not going to quit if he doesn’t have any talent. If that was true he would have quit wrestling ten years ago. He challenged Shin Ganpuro to a 6-Man Tag for 11th February. It will be Ken Ohka, Katsumura & Mitomi Masayuki Vs Namiguchi, Kenso Ohka & Shibata!

Shinichiro Tominaga’s re-introduction to K-DOJO continued with a tag match with him and Hi69 against Makoto Oishi & Shiori Asahi. Although he lost, Tominaga is getting noticed. Oishi pointed out that everyone in the ring was an ex-K-DOJO wrestler. Asahi shook his head in denial then told Tominaga to get ready to visit Chiba for their participation in K-DOJO’s upcoming Tag League.

Mars Spector refused to let go of the Crab Hold on Chikara after beating him. The referee was able to break them up and Yumehito Imanari then ran in to confront Spector and challenge him to a match next month. Without saying a word, Spector accepted. During the closing speeches, Imanari said he’s been secretly training at the DDT dojo specifically for this challenge.

Ai Shimizu is now zero for two in her trial series after losing to Hiroyo Matsumoto. Her third match in the series will be against Cassandra Miyagi!

Imanari was excited to team with Bambi again but the feeling was not mutual. Either way they won their match when Bambi hit Masayuki with the Standing Shining Wizard then Imanari followed up with a Busaiku Knee Kick that now has a name based around his big girl fetish.

Shota was brought into the ring at the end of the show. He is getting knee surgery that will put him out of action for the rest of the year. All the wrestlers on the roster who previously had surgery gave him words of encouragement and wished him the best.

3. G-COSMOS 2016 in Prince: Takafumi Ito defeated Rionne Fujiwara with a Crooked Headscissors (10:30).
4. Double Main Event I: Shota & Mitomi Masayuki defeated Yukihiro Abe & Shinichiro Tominaga when Shota pinned Tominaga with a Kido Clutch (16:07).
5. Double Main Event II – Shin Ganbare☆Wrestling Raising An Army: Osamu Namiguchi & Kenso Ohka defeated Ken Ohka & Yumehito Imanari when Ohka pinned Imanari with a Spear (12:24).

The show began with Osamu Namiguchi welcoming everyone to Shin Ganbare☆Wrestling. He said the theme of Shin Ganpuro is major pro wrestling and the main event would prove that. All of the regular Ganbare☆Wrestling matches happening before the main event were just toilet breaks as far as he was concerned. Ken Ohka stormed out and said he will show Namiguchi what the real Ganpuro is like in the main event.

Namiguchi had a big surprise in store for Ohka. The second member of Shin Ganpuro was revealed to be KENSO! However, KENSO came out to Ohka’s entrance music and wore matching gear. He is now Kenso Ohka! Not only did KENSO steal Ohka’s gimmick but he stole his finisher as well when he pinned Yumehito Imanari with the Spear. KENSO calls it a major Spear that is completely different from the fake one Ken Ohka does. Shuichiro Katsumura unexpectedly came out to confront Shin Ganpuro. He doesn’t see himself as a Ganpuro wrestler but he likes it here and won’t stand for this copycat coming in to ruin things. He invited Ken Ohka & Imanari to come train with him in his gym. Ohka said that Ganpuro stands for Ken Ohka, Ganpuro stands for Yumehito Imanari and Ganpuro stands for Shuichiro Katsumura. Together they will fight against Shin Ganpuro!

Kenta Hattori & Ai Shimizu both felt sorry for American Balloon’s sagging man boobs. Balloon’s man boobs came in handy when he used them to stop Shimizu from giving Sayaka Obihiro the Kamikaze. Obihiro then rolled Shimizu over for the win. Ohka was critical of Shimizu losing the match and encouraged her to try harder for her next match. Ohka said by the time Shimizu’s Ganpuro trial series is done she will become a worthy pro wrestler. Her next match in this series will be against Shota.

Ganpuro will run a special 15th Anniversary show for Ken Ohka at Shin-Kiba 1st RING on 22nd December. Ohka has a certain opponent in mind that he is eager to wrestle against but cannot guarantee if he can even negotiate with him. Imanari wants to put together a special women’s match for the show. His original idea was Bambi & Manami Kanda Vs Viper and somebody else. However it seems that Viper is unavailable on that date. Ohka promised Imanari that he will find two beautiful wrestlers to take on Bambi & Kanda.

His physician said rest is necessary and he will not be able to wrestle again until further notice. Some of the card changes as the result of this can be seen below.

The folks at Ganbare☆Wrestling had some time to relax after their successful Korakuen Hall debut but now a familiar threat has returned in new clothing. Osamu Namiguchi suddenly announced this week he is creating his own pro wrestling group called Shin Ganbare☆Wrestling (シン・ガンバレ☆プロレス)! The use of Shin (シン) in this name does not mean “new”, it means “thin” as in “Thin Godzilla” from the new kaiju movie. Namiguchi thinks Ganpuro is fake like Hollywood’s Godzilla but Shin Ganpuro will be pure just like “Thin Godzilla”. Shin Ganpuro’s debut will take place on 12th November in Tokyo BASEMENT MON☆STAR at the same time as the normal Ganpuro’s scheduled show. It will only consist of one match and Namiguchi challenged Ken Ohka & Yumehito Imanari to a tag team match. Namiguchi has a mystery partner for the occasion. Ohka accepted and the match will also technically be the main event of the normal Ganpuro show.

ohka-onita

After months of preparation the day finally came for Ken Ohka and Ganbare☆Wrestling. Ohka had taken a page out of Atsushi Onita’s book by promising to retire if today’s show had failed to sell out. Thankfully the promotion’s first show in Korakuen Hall turned out to be a success with over a 1,000 fans in attendance. Ohka took big risks in the ring as well as out of it. The main event was a No Rope Barbed Wire Street Fight Tornado 8-Man Tag Team Death Match with Ohka’s team versus Onita’s team. Those two fought each other while chaos reigned around them. Shota was put through a table by an Onita Piledriver. Yumehito Imanari & Mitomi Masayuki gave Onita a Double Brainbuster onto a barbed wire board. Imanari then brought in a barbed wire bat to use on Onita’s team. Ohka took his punishment and got the crowd to rally behind him. An opening came when Ohka ducked under Onita’s red mist. Osamu Namiguchi was blinded instead! Ohka gave Namiguchi the Fire Thunder Bomb but Hideki Hosaka stopped the pin. Ohka then hit the Flame Spear and this time there was nobody there to stop him.

ohka-mist-namiguchi

After the match Namiguchi demanded Onita to face him but Onita told him it’s enough. Onita invited Ohka to come over to the next FMW show on 24th November and congratulated him on a successful show. Namiguchi said he wasn’t convinced and he will crush Ganpuro but Onita ignored him and began spraying water everywhere. When that was over Ohka had some important announcements to make. He is getting married and he will also become a father in December!

fujita-marriage

Saki Maemura/Fujita had her first match back from retirement and one of her opponents was her ex-husband Minoru Fujita. Madoka and Bambi were also involved playing the role of their step-children. The crowd booed whenever Minoru attacked Saki. At one point somebody in the crowd yelled “Mom!” to motivate Saki. It looked to be all over when Minoru gave her the Tombstone Piledriver. But Bambi turned on Minoru when she stopped the pin with a Shining Wizard! Madoka then gave Minoru the Ranhyei and Saki hit a low altitude Frankensteiner for the three count. After the match Saki told Minoru there is nothing she regrets from their relationship. She’s thinks wrestling is very good so Minoru should continue doing it until he’s dead. Minoru understood. A year ago he came into Ganpuro spitting venom but over time he learned to work hard for his wrestling. He doesn’t know what lies ahead but he’ll make sure to do something his and Saki’s children will be proud of.

tominaga-asahi

Shinichiro Tominaga won Shiori Asahi’s respect with their match together. They were only in K-DOJO together for a brief amount of time before Tominaga quit and moved over to Union Pro. Asahi told him that today might not be the end of their story. If Tominaga is motivated to come back to K-DOJO some day then Asahi will be there waiting for him.

katsumura-ito

With all of the chaos happening elsewhere on the show it was nice to have something more straightforward. That’s where Shuichiro Katsumura and Takafumi Ito came in. Katsumura kept trying to lock in the Cross Armbreaker but Ito did what he could to break away. Finally Katsumura applied the move with nowhere for Ito to go. Ito never tapped out but the referee had to stop the match for his safety. Katsumura was declared the winner although Ito was dissatisfied with the result.

ishii-shootingstar

Keisuke Ishii decided to pull out something special for his first match against Yukihiro Abe in years. Ishii won the match with a Shooting Star Press! It was crooked but it did the job. Ishii said the show’s theme was surprise so that was his surprise.

ganpuro-gatoh

The opener was a showcase for Ganpuro’s women as Aoi Ishibashi & Ai Shimizu took on Emi Sakura & “Kotori” from Gatoh Move. Shimizu almost won with a Fisherman Suplex on “Kotori” but she kicked out of the pin. “Kotori” held Shimizu back while Sakura got the three count on Ishibashi with La Magistral Cradle.

shibata-royale

A dark match Battle Royal was held featuring the colourful cast of misfits and oddities that have wrestled in Ganpuro during its existence. Fumihito Kihara and Naoshi Sano focused on fighting each other from the moment the bell rang. Both of them continued fighting each other. Choun-Shiryu tried to Headbutt Mr. No but only hurt himself doing so. American Balloon used his massive man boobs to block Mr. No’s Headbutt much to everyone’s disgust. As the eliminations piled up Dr. Kiriko grabbed Balloon and force fed him some mystery medicine to make him faint. Mars Spector cleared the ring until it was down to just him and Shibata. A missed kick from Spector sent him over the top rope and Shibata knocked him off to be the last man standing. Shibata’s prize for winning is one wish to be granted by Ken Ohka within reason.

2. Ganbare☆Wrestling Public Inspection! Unidentified Hong Kong Police Corps Invasion!: Hong Kong International Women’s Police Man (Ai Shimizu) defeated Hong Kong International Police Man (Choun-Shiryu) and Hong Kong Domestic Bank Robbery Man (Atsushi Maruyama) when Women’s Police Man pinned both Police Man and Bank Robbery Man with a Double Brainbuster (9:30).
3. The Road To Ganpuro Korakuen “G” Vs “K” Special Tag Match: Shinichiro Tominaga & Tigger Bedscene defeated Shiori Asahi & Marines Mask IV when Tominaga submitted Mask with the Just Facelock (11:10).
4. Ganbare☆Wrestling Vs Tsukaisute-gun: Osamu Namiguchi, GENTARO & Shibata defeated Ken Ohka, Shota & Chikara when Namiguchi pinned Shota with the Lanakila-X (14:49).

The currently named Tsukaisute-gun (Disposable Army) were victorious over Ganbare☆Wrestling in the main event. Chikara wanted a fair fight and offered a handshake before the match but GENTARO attacked him instead. There was a ringside brawl but in the end Ken Ohka and Chikara were held back and forced to watch Osamu Namiguchi pin Shota. They were then put in Sharpshooters while Namiguchi taunted Ohka. Namiguchi also had a surprise for everyone. “Wild Thing” played and Atsushi Onita appeared! Onita talked to Ohka about Ganpuro’s first Korakuen Hall show on 2nd October. Onita brought up the possibility of him against Ohka happening on the show. Ohka excitedly agreed to it although it wasn’t booked. All that is confirmed for now is Onita will be at the Korakuen show. Ohka was then asked what will happen if the show does not sell out. Ohka said he will quit Ganbare☆Wrestling!

The semi-main event was the last piece of research Shinichiro Tominaga needed for his upcoming match with Shiori Asahi. He got the win when he caught Marines Mask IV with the RKO in mid-air then tapped him out with the Just Facelock. Tominaga said he now knows all he needs to beat Asahi and he’ll show off his research on 2nd October.

Hong Kong Domestic Police Man was supposed to be in Match #2 but never showed up. Hong Kong Domestic Bank Robbery Man took his place. There was a lot of nonsense that I can’t make out because the translation says Hong Kong International Police Man over and over. The female one pinned the other two when she reversed a Double Brainbuster. Two two men were unmasked after the match and revealed to be Choun-Shiryu and Atsushi Maruyama.

Yumehito Imanari Vs Yukihiro Abe was a match between two good friends. When Imanari first entered the wrestling industry it was as a cameraman filming a documentary about Abe. It was a matc neither wanted to lose. At one point Imanari yelled “I will not shake” after taking Chops from Imanari. However Abe was having fun and yelled at Imanari to be more creative. Abe scored the win and was greeted by Ohka afterwards. Ohka told him he found his opponent for the Korakuen show. Out came Keisuke Ishii form DDT! Ohka noted that Abe has never beaten Ishii but does have two time limit draws against him. He is the perfect choice of a senior wrestler for Abe to wrestle.

It was announced that Minoru Fujita will graduate from Ganbare☆Wrestling at the 2nd October Korakuen Hall show. He wanted Bambi to team with him for his last match. It was decided their opponents will be Madoka and Fujita’s ex-wife Saki Maemura! She retired back in 2009 and married Fujita a year later but they divorced in 2015. She will even use Saki Fujita as her ring name! Ken Ohka said in order to turn Ganpuro into a major company like WWE they should allow family problems to be settled in the ring.
