6. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Isami Kodaka & Yuko Miyamoto (c) defeated Kota Ibushi & Kenny Omega when Kodaka pinned Omega with the Rasengan (20:57).
*V3 for Yankii Ni Cho Kenju.

Isami Kodaka & Yuko Miyamoto made it clear they are the very best tag team in DDT right now after defeating the Golden Lovers to retain the KO-D Tag Team Titles. Their next defence will be in Hakata on 15th December. The champions pointed out that two wrestlers from Union and 666 now currently dominate both the DDT and Big Japan tag team divisions and they should not be treated like fools because they come from “smelly indies”. Kodaka even asked for the title match to take place in the streets or the local shopping mall. Backstage, Kenny Omega said being defeated was the worst and both he and Kota Ibushi wrestled with injuries. He wants a Falls Count Anywhere rematch in DDT next year and even Ibushi said he wants revenge.

HARASHIMA defended the DDT Extreme Title in a Blindfold Hidden Breasts Match against Antonio Honda. The rule were both men had to wear blindfolds and bras. The first man to find and strip his opponent’s bra would win. Yukinori Matsui got caught in the crossfire a few times and narrowly avoided the Somato from the champion. HARASHIMA was able to knock down Honda with a High Kick and then flattened him with the Somato, pulling off Honda’s bra afterwards to win. HARASHIMA complimented Honda for coming up with a great match idea which taught him some valuable experience.

DJ Nira suddenly appeared with Daisuke Kiso by his side. He told HARASHIMA it would be either him or Kiso who will be the next challenger. He then gave Kiso the Rocket Punch and said he was the next challenger. The match is booked for the 23rd November show in Yokohama However, Guanchulo earlier won a Battle Royal that granted him a shot at HARASHIMA’s Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title. It was agreed that he will face HARASHIMA in Sendai on the 24th. Kazuki Hirata snuck into the ring and attacked HARASHIMA. He rolled over HARASHIMA for a pin but only got a two count. He then fled the ring. If that wasn’t enough, Amon Tsurumi announced that HARASHIMA will defend his KO-D Openweight Title against Yukio Sakaguchi at the 23rd December Korakuen Hall show. HARASHIMA offered a handshake to Sakaguchi but he gave him a fist bump instead.

Speaking of Sakaguchi, he knocked out Shigehiro Irie with a Knee Strike to the face during their tag team match. Irie actually kicked out of the pin but was too groggy to stand up so the referee called for the match to end. A stretcher was brought out but Irie was helped out to the locker room by Keisuke Ishii and Soma Takao instead. Irie had no idea what happened and didn’t know the match was over.

Danshoku Dino & Makoto Oishi have found the perfect partner to go after the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles. That wrestler is Aja Kong! The trio earned a title shot by beating two thirds of the champs and Kazuki Hirata. Dino said they are all ready to bukkake on the grand champion Akebono.

Saki Akai will return for her third wrestling match at the 23/12 Korakuen show.

Masa Takanashi will be holding a special 10th Anniversary show in Edogawa on 17th December. Shuji Ishikawa, Kazuhiro Tamura, Emi Sakura and the UMA Corps will all appear on the show.

7d. Sudden Death Kiss My Ass Match: Antonio Honda defeated Danshoku Dino & Kenny Omega when Honda pinned Dino with a Roll Up (3:11).
*Danshoku Dino fails in V2. Antonio Honda becomes the 23rd DDT Extreme Champion!

The 3 Way feud between Danshoku Dino, Kenny Omega and Antonio Honda came to its conclusion today with the DDT Extreme Title on the line. Dino made the rules for the contest and decided it would be held over three rounds so it would be clear that whoever wins overall deserves the championship. Round 1 was an Over The Top Rope match which was won by Omega. Round 2 was a Silent Match, whoever made a sound while wrestling was disqualified. Kenny messed up and was eliminated when he yelled “Stop!” at Honda before hitting him with an Enzuigiri. Honda then made Dino yell in pain when he crotched him on the top rope to win the round. Round 3 was a Kiss My Cock match where pins only counted when a wrestler had his crotch pressed against his opponent’s mouth. Naturally Dino won that round by pinning both Honda and Omega. After three rounds it was a three way tie. Dino immediately called for sudden death under Kiss My Ass rules. Dino’s choice of match backfired when Honda pinned him with a roll up, pressing his ass against Dino’s face. Honda’s victory speech included a weird metaphor about DDT growing larger means there is a decrease in nose fucking as a result.

New World Japan reunited for one night to take on the Monster Army. Sanshiro Takagi was in a furious mood because he had a train ticket for Yoshiaki Yago to send him home after the show but it went missing. He accused the Monster Army of stealing them but they denied it. The nWj trapped Daisuke Sasaki in the corner during the match and interrogated him while throwing chops to the body. Yukio Sakaguchi eventually made Sasaki submit and Takagi again demanded his ticket. Amon Tsurumi came out and said he had Takagi’s ticket. Takagi apologised and laughed it off acting like he had not just beaten up Sasaki. Yago was the last man in the ring and apologised to the fans for being away for so long. He explained he was busy selling used cars in Russia.

*V1 for Danshoku Dino.
7. HARASHIMA, Yasu Urano & KUDO defeated MIKAMI, Hikaru Sato & Yukio Sakaguchi when Urano pinned MIKAMI with the Tombstone Piledriver (17:19).

Yasu Urano told HARASHIMA that he is proud to team with a great champion and he hopes HARASHIMA will feel the same way when he wins the KO-D Openweight Title from him. HARASHIMA says he will win because he trains.

The DDT Extreme Title was defended in a 15 minute Ironman match with a difference. Danshoku Dino and Antonio Honda were both joined in the ring by Batten Tamagawa. Pinning or submitting Tamagawa would earn you a point but you would lose two points if Tamagawa defeated you. When the match was announced halfway through the show, Kenny Omega demanded to be included. His claim was denied because the contract was already signed. Kenny intruded on the match in the final minute to give Dino the Danshoku Driver. He then struck Honda with the Extreme Title belt. Kenny’s actions cost Honda the title as Tamagawa pinned him with seconds remaining, reducing his score back to zero. After the match Honda angrily demanded a 3 Way match between himself, Dino and Kenny to determine once and for all who deserves the Extreme Title. The match will take place in Yokohama on 23rd September.

Keisuke Ishii noted that it has been one year since the formation of Team Dream Futures. Since then Shigehiro Irie became the KO-D Champion while Ishii himself believes he has grown as a wrestler. He talked about when he was a young trainee in another organisation but he ran away from them. Now he wants to prove he is strong enough to fight them. The name of that organisation, you ask? All Japan Pro Wrestling! He will appeal to All Japan for a match and has the support of his Drift team mates. Tsurumi Amon pretended he didn’t hear Ishii but then offered to help and do what he can to set up an inter-promotional match in the future.

Kenny Omega and Konosuke Takeshita both defeated Batten Tamagawa in a 3 Way match. Kenny then beat Takeshita in a game of Rock-Paper-Scissors to unofficially determine the winner.

In the second match of his latest series, Michael Nakazawa wanted to wrestle as a fresh faced rookie. Like last time he became impatient and went for the Ultimate Venom Arm only for Sanshiro Takagi to avoid it and beat him with a move named after the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. After the match Nakazawa demanded that the third and final match of his trial should be a 60 minute Falls Count Anywhere Ironman match.

*Kenny Omega fails in V5. Danshoku Dino becomes the 23rd DDT Extreme Champion!

Danshoku Dino is the new DDT Extreme Champion! Dino defeated Kenny Omega in a T-back Table match to win the belt. The rules of the T-back Table match is a table had to be set up on one of the corner posts and the match could only be won when someone was thrown off the “T-back” into another table. Both men fought down to their rainbow thongs and Kenny had his forehead busted open when he Moonsaulted off of the T-back on Dino and a bunch of chairs in the audience. The finish came when both men were atop the T-back. Dino tried to do the Danshoku Driver but Kenny resisted. Dino then gave him a Lip Lock and dry humped him off the T-back onto a table below to win. Kenny accepted defeat and handed the belt over to Dino. The new champion said the Extreme Title is dyed in the colour of champions and he will show that it is a major title in DDT. He then called out Antonio Honda, who will be the first challenger in Hakata on 8th September.

Tsurumi Amon told HARASHIMA that two people approached him for the 29/9 KO-D Title shot. The first person was Kazuki Hirata, who Amon dismissed immediately. The other was surprisingly Yasu Urano, HARASHIMA’s stablemate. Urano told HARASHIMA he was envious of HARASHIMA for main eventing Sumo Hall and he wanted to face him at the next big stage, Korakuen Hall. HARASHIMA would never decline a request from a friend and accepted Urano’s challenge.

Takao Soma is picking up wins with his new Gin & Tonic (Axe Guillotine Driver/Jig ‘N’ Tonic) finisher as he and Keisuke Ishii approach their KO-D Tag Team Title match against Isami Kodaka & Yuko Miyamoto next month. Soma mocked the champions goal of winning 100 title defences and said when Drift win the titles, they will defend it 105 times.

Kota Ibushi and Gota Ihashi asked Toru Owashi to team with them and challenge for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles in Korakuen next month. They also want the match to be Falls Count Anywhere.

7. King Of DDT Final: HARASHIMA defeated Kenny Omega with the Swan Dive Somato (15:20).

HARASHIMA wins the 2013 King of DDT and will challenge for the KO-D Openweight Title in the co-main event of “RYOGOKU PETER PAN 2013”. It took two Somatos and a Swan Dive Somato for HARASHIMA to beat Kenny Omega in the final. HARASHIMA defeated the rookie phenom Konosuke Takeshita in the semi-final while Omega took care of Yukio Sakaguchi. Now we to see who the champion will be, Shigehiro Irie or Yuji Okabayashi?

The “super important” announcement was the reveal of Kazuchika Okada competing at “RYOGOKU PETER PAN 2013”. But that’s not all, it was announced Okada will take on Kota Ibushi in the co-main event! Ibushi thanked the crowd for the support they will give him in the upcoming G1 Climax and he promised he will do his best against the Rainmaker.

Danshoku Dino & Makoto Oishi announced that Kensuke Sasaki will be the third member of their team when they challenge the Monster Army for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles on 21/7. GM Tsurumi Amon was completely unaware of this and now has to contact Sasaki and negotiate with him to actually appear at the show.

Antonio Honda and Daisuke Sasaki both wrestled in Kushinbo Kamen costumes along with the gear they stole from Masa Takanashi & Akito. I guess they are Kamen’s spare costumes and the Monster Army stole them too.

*V3 for Kenny Omega.
6. HARASHIMA, KUDO & Yasu Urano defeated Shigehiro Irie, Keisuke Ishii & Takao Soma when KUDO pinned Soma with the Diving Double Knee Drop (16:10).

The rules for the DDT Extreme Title between Kenny Omega and Masa Takanashi match was a penalty was put in place whenever a pinfall resulted in a two count. A new penalty replaced the old one after every two count. After the first nearfall, Kenny had his arms tied together. Next nearfall, Kenny had to wear a blindfold. When Masa got his first two count, both wrestlers then had to wear a blindfold. The audience helped guide them towards each other but they still had trouble, mostly when Kenny threw Masa towards the ropes and then did a Dropkick into thin air. Masa then attacked both Daisuke Kiso and Michael Nakazawa at ringside, thinking they were both Kenny. They fled outside the ring and upon hearing the noise, Kenny dove at them through the ropes while still blindfolded. With the referee down, Masa took off his blindfold, stole Kiso’s referee shirt, put it on himself and guided Kenny towards Kiso. Kenny pinned Kiso, Masa counted to three and then he attacked Kenny as he was celebrating what he thought was his victory. Yukinori Matsui ran down to the ring to sort out the confusion but that led to him and Kiso officiating the match at the same time. Each ref called a two count when Kenny and Masa exchanged pinfall attempts so they decided both wrestlers had to have their hands restrained and their ankles bound together. Omega finally won when he was somehow able to give Takanashi a Dragon Suplex for the three count.

6. KO-D Openweight Title: Shigehiro Irie defeated Kenny Omega (c) with the Vertical Drop Back Flip (24:29).
*Kenny Omega fails in V4. Shigehiro Irie becomes the 45th KO-D Openweight Champion!

The torch has been passed, Shigehiro Irie is the first in his generation of DDT wrestlers to win the KO-D Openweight Title! Over the last two years, Irie has taken big steps towards the top beating such DDT and Union alumni like Kota Ibushi and Shuji Ishikawa. One person he could never get the best of was the champion Kenny Omega. Almost a year ago Irie went through rigorous weight loss training in order to wrestle Kenny for the AJPW Jr. Heavyweight Title. Today there was no weight limit handicapping the Teddy Bear. It wasn’t easy, Omega fought tooth and nail to keep his title but Irie’s heart was just that little bit bigger. A Vertical Drop Back Flip attempt was rearranged into a Thunder Fire Driver, knocking Omega silly and leaving him vulnerable to another Vertical Drop Back Flip. That one connected and three seconds later Irie was swamped by his Team Dream Future stablemates and handed the KO-D Title belt.

Irie couldn’t believe he won. He couldn’t believe he beat Kenny Omega. He thanked the audience for chanting his name and he thanked his friends for supporting him. Tsurumi Amon dampened the celebrations by telling Irie that there are now four wrestlers with Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere contracts and Keisuke Ishii is one of them. Ishii stepped in and said he won’t be cashing in his contract until the time was right for him and Irie. Sanshiro Takagi awkwardly congratulated Irie, clearly resisting temptation to cash in his contract there and then. Irie’s first challenger Yukio Sakaguchi appeared on the ring apron and simply stuck out his fist. Irie placed his elbow against the fist in response as if to say “Challenge accepted,”

The Royal Rumble Ladder match had 5 prizes in total on the line. Literally. Four envelopes hung from a cable above the ring. Two of the envelopes had a smiley face on them. The other two had the skull and bones symbol. It was up to the competitors to climb up ladders and fight amongst each other to reach them. When somebody pulled down an envelope they played no further part in the match. Meanwhile, Battle Royal rules were also in effect with the overall winner getting a KO-D Title shot on 13th April. Yukio Sakaguchi won the Battle Royal portion. With the title shot in his grasp, Sakaguchi now feels like he is part of the DDT family.

Sanshiro Takagi, Keisuke Ishii, HARASHIMA & DJ Nira were the four wrestlers who grabbed the envelopes. They were called into the ring after the match to open the envelopes and reveal their prizes. It turns out all four envelopes contained Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere contracts that allowed the holder to challenge the KO-D Champion to a title match at any DDT show from now until 3rd August. However, to even the playing field a new rule was added. The contracts can now change hands if the contract holder is pinned, submitted or knocked out at any wrestling show in Japan! Hiroshi Fukuda suddenly ambushed Takagi and pinned him with a School Boy but as he celebrated with Takagi’s contract, Tsurumi Amon told him the rule was not 24/7 and only comes into play during actual wrestling matches.

K-1 fighter Kizaemon Saiga had a successful debut in DDT teaming with his friend Kota Ibushi to defeat Yasu Urano & FUMA. They won by using a Doomsday Spinning Heel Kick with Saiga performing the kick. During the backstage interview afterwards Saiga said he had fun but was in a huge amount of pain. He hopes to do both MMA and wrestling. Ibushi was nervous for his friend but Saiga’s performance proved how compatible he is with pro wrestling. In regards to the Doomsday Kick, Saiga said it was the first time he ever did a Jumping Kick from that height. He called Ibushi his teacher and wants to fly and bounce around the ring like he does.

The 2013 King Of DDT tournament will begin at Shinjuku on 28th June. Round 2 will be held in Nagoya on 17th July. The semi-finals and final will take place in Umeda later that month. The winner will earn a KO-D Title shot at the 18/8 Sumo Hall show.

Danshoku Dino is getting his own show on DDT’s Nico Douga Channel. The show is called Danshoku Matchmaking. If this does not turn out to be DDT’s version of Blind Date with Dino playing the role of Cilla Black, I will be disappointed.

KO-D Openweight Title – Last Man Standing Falls Count Anywhere Match: Kenny Omega (c) defeated Michael Nakazawa with the One-Winged Angel (35:59).
*V3 for Kenny Omega.

Michael Nakazawa was in serious mode when he took on Kenny Omega for the KO-D Championship at today’s special one match show in Shin-Kiba 1st RING. Stakes were raised when Kenny added a Falls Count Anywhere rule to the Last Man Standing stipulation. Kenny wanted to make sure his friend was going to take this match seriously. He asked Michael if he wanted to wear his nurse’s outfit with the leather whip included. Michael refused. Kenny then offered Michael a bottle of lotion but that was also rejected. Kenny then took a swig of the bottle and sprayed Michael in the face with a mist of lotion. Michael attacked Kenny out of anger and the match began.

Throughout the 35 minute war, Kenny pinned Nakazawa with the Reverse Frankensteiner, the Croyt’s Wrath and a Doctor Bomb. Nakazawa was able to pin the champion after a Spear through the ropes, crashing into a table set up at ringside. He also got a pinfall after a few chairshots over the head, which Nakazawa apologised for as he struck Kenny over the head with them. However, the end finally came when Omega pinned Nakazawa with the One-Winged Angel followed by the complete 10 count from the referee. Shigehiro Irie came out to confront the champion he will face at Korakuen Hall on 20th March but the two settled their brief meeting with a handshake.

Kenny told the audience to all stand up and cheer for Michael. He was super happy to defend the title against his friend in an amazing match.
