The first Right To Challenge Contract is already being cashed in. Ken Ohka is wasting no time and wants to fight HARASHIMA for the KO-D Openweight Title this Saturday. Ohka is not giving HARASHIMA any time to recover from Sumo Hall while he himself got through the show without a scratch. He knows HARASHIMA isn’t 100% and probably has an injured knee or foot from his match with Isami Kodaka. He has all the respect in the world for the champion and they have a strong bond after their match with Hiroshi Tanahashi & Yohei Komatsu last year. But his desire to win the KO-D Title again is even stronger.

Daisuke Sasaki nominated The World’s Cutest Tag Team as the No. 1 Contenders for the KO-D Tag Team Titles. He wants revenge on Candice LeRae for turning down his marriage proposal just to get engaged to someone else afterwards. Sasaki admits he’s thinking with his crotch instead of his head. He even wants to fight LeRae’s fiancée Johnny Gargano! Amon Tsurumi is allowing the title match to happen due to Sasaki’s insistence but did point out the former champions Konosuke Takeshita & Tetsuya Endo also want a title rematch.

Turns out there is one more Right To Challenge Contract up for grabs.

In an odd turn of events Super Sasadango Machine wanted to vacate the DDT Extreme Title and reward it to Antonio Honda. Tsurumi asked why and he said he wanted to give the belt to Honda as a lifetime achievement award. His request was refused so he asked if he could lend the belt to Honda instead. When that was turned down he admitted he didn’t want to defend the title until the 20th Anniversary show in Saitama Super Arena next year. Then he admitted he would rather give the belt to Honda instead of losing it to him.

3. Tokyo Princess Cup – First Round: Nonoko defeated Chikage Kiba with an Oklahoma Roll Cutback (6:26).

After losing to Chikage Kiba twice this year, it was third time’s a charm for Nonoko. Not only that but Nonoko was finally able to counter Kiba’s Oklahoma Roll, using the momentum against Kiba to pin her.

A draw was held to determine the semi final matches for the Tokyo Princess Cup. The matches will be Miyu Yamashita Vs Shoko Nakajima and Yuka Sakazaki Vs Nonoko.

Miyu Yamashita’s new submission move is a modified Triangle Lancer. The name stands for Tafasu Rolling Hook (Fukku).

Akane Miura will have her official debut match on 2nd August.

2. Ladybeard & Kaori Yoneyama defeated Cherry & Mio Shirai when Ladybeard pinned Shirai with the Nut Cracker (7:08).
3. MEN’S Teioh defeated Mitomi Masayuki with the Spinning Toe Hold (10:49).
4. World Men’s Club Cup – FIFA Rules: Hiroshi Fukuda defeated Choun-Shiryu with a Gedo Clutch (7:17).
5. Shuji Ishikawa defeated Shibata with the Running Kneelift (7:07).
6. Hikaru Sato defeated Daichi Kazato by Referee Stoppage after Kazato suffered a foot injury (6:36).
7. Isami Kodaka defeated FUMA with the Zan Isamu Leg (17:18).

Hikaru Sato sent a message to Shuji Ishikawa by intentionally injuring Daichi Kazato. Sato targeted Kazato’s left knee and had a bitter smile on his face while applying a Necklock. Kazato couldn’t continue and the ref stopped the match. Sato was still smiling as Kazato was helped out of the ring while holding his knee in agony.

Hiroshi Fukuda Vs Choun-Shiryu for the World Men’s Club Cup took place under the same rule set used by FIFA for their World Cup games. Handballs were illegal which meant both Fukuda and Shiryu were forced to wrestle with their hands tied behind their backs. Fukuda was able to pin Shiryu with the Gedo Clutch after some shenanigans involving the referee constantly fainting. After the match Fukuda swapped his baggy pants with Shiryu’s New Beijing T-shirt in accordance with the Fair Play rules but Shiryu kicked him and laid him out with the Gory Special Bomb.

Ladybeard pinned Mio Shirai, giving him momentum for their upcoming Fly To Everywhere Title Match on 31st August. Ladybeard was feeling positive about his performance and hopes he and Mio will both do their best. His way of wrestling is strong and he does not have the weaknesses Cherry has.

FUMA, Daichi Kazato, SAGAT, Mitomi Masayuki and Tomoya Kawamura will all compete at the DDT “RYOGOKU PETER PAN 2014” show on 17th August.

This Site Has Lasted Longer Than W*ING!

Today is the 4th year of this website’s existence. Thanks to everyone who follows along no matter if you were here from the beginning or just found it the one time it was linked on Cracked. I’m still having fun trying to figure out and explain what goes on in DDT and its family of little offshoots so let’s continue. Makoto Oishi was surprised to find out his next DDT Extreme Title defence will be against his good friend Danshoku Dino. During a press conference for the match Dino asked Oishi why is he so fond of wrestling in Idol Lumberjack matches? Oishi got flustered and tried to explain it is a fun match for both the wrestlers and the fans. Dino wonders if the real reason is Oishi wants to spend a lot of time being next to his favourite idols. Dino has yet to announce who his idol lumberjacks will be.

It was two years ago when Union last held a show in Kitasenju Theatre. The venue was packed for their return highlighted with the Union Sekigun standing up to Team Dream Futures. Unfortunately for the home team, Drift were victorious by the night’s end. Keisuke Ishii wasn’t impressed and asked if that was the best Union had to offer. Isami Kodaka took offence to that and had a confrontation with Ishii. Naomi Susan announced that Kodaka and Ishii will have a match at Union’s next event in Shin-Kiba 1st RING on 28/10.

Earlier in the semi-main event, Kodaka defeated Goro Jr. He and Goro had a handshake afterwards but when he tried to do the same with El Hijo del Goro, he was met with a middle finger.

Clearly inspired by the recent riveting discussion about whether or not Big Daddy should be inducted into the Wrestling Observer Hall Of Fame, Hiroshi Fukuda decided to be a gentlemen and wrestle under “Great Britain” rules for his Handicap match against Cherry & Mio Shirai. Part of the rules were to wrestle clean like a gentleman and he also only had to be pinned for two seconds instead of three to lose. Mio did just that two minutes later. Fukuda complained and remembered that the British doesn’t actually use those rules, so they restarted the match under normal Handicap rules. This time Fukuda fought dirty and attempted to use a chair and a tambourine as weapons. Rumi Kazama stopped him from using the foriegn objects and the distraction led to his defeat for the second time. Fukuda was so upset he fled backstage (and I quote from the website translation) “crying like a virgin.”

The annual campsite match is set. Fans have been warned that Sanshiro Takagi, Michael Nakazawa and Batten Tamagawa will appear randomly throughout the match as Player Killers. Their role is pretty much to interfere and attack whoever is in their way. However, Nakazawa in particular has a grudge with Kota Ibushi over their previous campsite matches.

Okinawa Pro Wrestling is represented on the show by one of their most colorful characters, Menso~re Oyaji. He will face Hiro Tsumaki, who up until recently was wrestling in Okinawa as part of a learning excursion.
