Today’s DDT show was the first one held at Omuta in two years. Yuto Aijima called it a success because of the cooperation between DDT and the Omuta locals like himself. He noticed that with Konosuke Takeshita as the champion, DDT is growing into a younger company by having more wrestlers in their 20s. Aijima is in his 50s but he hopes to have another match in DDT before his career ends. Even when he no longer wrestlers, DDT will always be Aijima’s favourite wrestling company.

Asuka got an extra kick in on Tetsuya Endo after their match. Her and Daisuke Sasaki being in the same ring again wasn’t a friendly time either.

The Cody Press used by Cody Hall is a Diving Body Press from the centre of middle rope.

A few injuries during the week alters tomorrow’s card. The light one is Sanshiro Takagi. He injured his right eye and is missing this show. He will be getting it further examined next week but hopes to be clear for Masahiro Takanashi’s show on the 15th. Gorgeous Matsuno took it upon himself to replace Takagi in Match #2.

The bad injury happened to Kazusada Higuchi during yesterday’s “UNIVERSE.1” show. He tore his right PCL and has no timetable for a return. He does not need surgery and will be aiming to recover as soon as possible. Ryota Nakatsu takes Higuchi’s place in Match #3.

With the new 2nd Gen belt over her shoulder, Shoko Nakajima is now even more motivated to defend the Princess Title. Her next challenger is the wrestler who has by far progressed the most among the roster this year, Misao. Ever since Misao shed her superhero persona and joined NEO Biishiki-gun she has gone from strength to strength.

I wonder if Sakisama holds a grudge with Yuki Kamifuku over her attempt to join NEO Biishiki-gun last year? Kamifuku joined the unit as an apprentice last May then quit after two weeks when she figured out it was a bad fit for her.

Miu Watanabe Vs Hikari Noa is a match to watch out for. The two members of the Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling) have developed so much in the ring this year and part of the reason why is they branched out to other tag teams outside of their unit (Momoiro Sparkling for Watanabe and Pandemic Boo-Boo for Noa). Gotta be honest here, I think Raku is in danger of never catching up to them.

So Watase has come up with a Falls Count Anywhere 6-Man Tag Match. He likes Hardcore wrestling just as much as MAO and Asuka does so the three of them will team together. Watase is also thinking of creating his own battle cycle to combat Sanshiro Takagi’s Dramatic Dream bike.

Names advertised for the show include Great Mutiger, Takuya Yamauchi, Scoville and Yunosuke. They are all from a micro indy promotion that Gota Ihashi was once a part of called Oretachi Pro Wrestling. Mutiger wrestled in DDT before back in 2017.

6. Omuta Specialty! The Moon Comes Out! Gorgeous 6-Man Tag Match: Yoshihiro Takayama, Shigehiro Irie & Yuto Aijima defeated Akebono, HARASHIMA & Yasu Urano when Aijima pinned Urano with the Vertical Drop Brainbuster (16:42).

Yuto Aijima was the hometown hero for the show. Before the main event began each participant was given a bouquet of flowers. Aijima’s bouquet was given to him by his own mother. The crowd was behind him and gave a big cheer when he pinned Yasu Urano to win the match for his team. Omuta said afterwards that he still tries his hardest even though he is now 50 years old. He asked the fans to come back and each bring a friend to fill up the building when he eventually has his retirement show. He then thanked Sanshiro Takagi, Akebono and Yoshihiro Takayama for their help today.

Konosuke Takeshita & Akito now have a 2-0 record as a team. They’re pleased that they were able to beat an established team like Shuten-dōji and now look forward to facing Smile Squash tomorrow.

Danshoku Dino claimed Omuta as a Gay Town after his victory. He then remembered Omuta is already a Gay Town and said its population is 70% gay. He then rallied the fans to give the middle finger against Japan’s failing birthrate.

Kota Umeda gave an update on his injury status. He hopes to be back in the ring later this year and promised he will be wrestling again when DDT returns to Omuta.

Isaacs explained that when he used the Lip Lock on Antonio Honda during their match at the weekend he felt comfortable with the action. Although he worked hard in America he was never happy with the situation he was in. But when he came to Japan and met Dino he was convinced to come out as gay. Dino explained that he saw the gay wrestler in Isaacs and felt a little outraged that Isaacs was holding it back. So to help him out he brought him to this bar and asked the owner Mr. Takuya if Isaacs can become accepted as a gay wrestler. Takuya said of course he would, he can even reach high enough to be No. 1! Isaacs said that even though he currently holds a Right To Challenge contract, he knows that everyone is more interested in his “Miracle Ass”. He then showed some examples of what he is talking about by using his ass to cut a banana in half, open a bottle of champagne and cook raw eggs. Dino, Takuya and Amon Tsurumi tasted each of the food and were delighted by the taste! Isaacs said everyone will get to see the Miracle Ass in action before he cashes in his RTC contract.

The show was held in Aijima’s hometown of Omuta and as a surprise his mother appeared before the match to hand him a bouquet. Even with Yoshihiro Takayama as one of his opponents, Aijima scored the victory for his team.
