6. Kurashiki Specialty Beauty Area Special 6-Man Tag Match: HARASHIMA, Yuki Ueno & Naomi Yoshimura defeated Daisuke Sasaki, Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie when HARASHIMA pinned Paulie with the Somato (17:26).

Today’s ending was the first time in a long time that the entire DISASTER BOX unit were together in the same ring. Tetsuya Endo thought he got one over on HARASHIMA when he used a Standing Somato on his against the corner. But HARASHIMA got the last laugh by blocking a Springboard attack with a Dropkick and then pinning Mad Paulie with two versions of the Somato.

Yuki Iino was absent from the show but Akito was still inspired by his appearances on the No Side Game TV drama. ALL OUT supports No Side Game and will use that story as the theme for their upcoming KO-D Tag Team Title shot. Konosuke Takeshita hopes that everybody in ALL OUT will appear on the show if it ever gets a sequel.

The hotel the show took place in has a lot of cleaning up to do thanks to the chaos in Match #4. The two teams didn’t wait long to fight their way away from the ring. Shunma Katsumata brought out a stepladder to do a Diving Foot Stomp from. Asuka found rope outside the building and used it to choke Katsumata. Mizuki Watase put Sanshiro Takagi through a table after jumping from the lobby desk. MAO and Hiroshi Yamato went into the bathhouse and threw each other into the baths. Takagi built a chair castle but it was knocked down when Watase’s team drove a motorbike into it. Back in the ring Katsumata brought out a box of toy bricks as well as a barbed wire board! Asuka hit the Moonsault on Katsumata with a chair in hand. Watase placed the barbed wire board over two chairs and tried to put Katsumata through it with the Calf Branding. But Katsumata blocked the move and instead threw Watase into the board with a top rope Frankensteiner. He then placed the board remains on top of Watase and pinned him after a Moonsault Foot Stomp. Katsumata thanked Watase for coming up with such a crazy match but Watase rejected his handshake.

Yukio Naya has found a good way to win tag matches. Just Choke Slam your partner onto your opponent!

A few injuries during the week alters tomorrow’s card. The light one is Sanshiro Takagi. He injured his right eye and is missing this show. He will be getting it further examined next week but hopes to be clear for Masahiro Takanashi’s show on the 15th. Gorgeous Matsuno took it upon himself to replace Takagi in Match #2.

The bad injury happened to Kazusada Higuchi during yesterday’s “UNIVERSE.1” show. He tore his right PCL and has no timetable for a return. He does not need surgery and will be aiming to recover as soon as possible. Ryota Nakatsu takes Higuchi’s place in Match #3.

With the new 2nd Gen belt over her shoulder, Shoko Nakajima is now even more motivated to defend the Princess Title. Her next challenger is the wrestler who has by far progressed the most among the roster this year, Misao. Ever since Misao shed her superhero persona and joined NEO Biishiki-gun she has gone from strength to strength.

I wonder if Sakisama holds a grudge with Yuki Kamifuku over her attempt to join NEO Biishiki-gun last year? Kamifuku joined the unit as an apprentice last May then quit after two weeks when she figured out it was a bad fit for her.

Miu Watanabe Vs Hikari Noa is a match to watch out for. The two members of the Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling) have developed so much in the ring this year and part of the reason why is they branched out to other tag teams outside of their unit (Momoiro Sparkling for Watanabe and Pandemic Boo-Boo for Noa). Gotta be honest here, I think Raku is in danger of never catching up to them.

So Watase has come up with a Falls Count Anywhere 6-Man Tag Match. He likes Hardcore wrestling just as much as MAO and Asuka does so the three of them will team together. Watase is also thinking of creating his own battle cycle to combat Sanshiro Takagi’s Dramatic Dream bike.

Names advertised for the show include Great Mutiger, Takuya Yamauchi, Scoville and Yunosuke. They are all from a micro indy promotion that Gota Ihashi was once a part of called Oretachi Pro Wrestling. Mutiger wrestled in DDT before back in 2017.

3. Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ – Round 2: Minoru Fujita defeated FUMA with a Modified Samson Clutch (11:53).
4. Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ – Round 2: SAGAT defeated Yasu Urano with the Goregrind (12:53).

The local boy was ultimately defeated with a combination of the Somato, the Thunder Fire Bomb and the Moonsault Press. Yuko Miyamoto said it was great to see so many fans turn up for Takato Nakano homecoming. He also thanked everyone in Kurashiki for their full fledged hospitality today. Nakano told everyone he wants to have the best matches in BASARA.

In the Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ matches SAGAT overcame some dirty tactics to beat Yasu Urano. The foul came when Urano pushed the referee in the way when SAGAT was going for the Goregrind. He then did a Hurricanrana but SAGAT kicked out and hit the Goregrind on his second try for the three count. The other match saw Minoru Fujita survive long enough against FUMA’s comeback to beat him with the Samson Clutch. SAGAT and Fujita will now face each other in the semi-final on 25th June.

In a confusing turn of events Best Stretchman V3 alerted everyone that he could not wrestle because his hood was missing. Without it he was just Daichi Kazato. A spare hood was found but Yusukue Kubo & Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi attacked him and Stretchman Man to start the match. Everyone then found out that whoever wears the hood would transform into Best Stretchman V3! Kubo put it on and began stretching. Hiroshi then put it on and hit Kazato with the Best Stretch Bomber for the finish. Stretchman Man was able to pull the hood off Hiroshi afterwards.

After their last KO-D Tag Team Titles defence, Daisuke Sasaki said that he and Soma Takao would pick who their next challengers will be. They went quiet for a few days until Sasaki emerged with an Amidakuji/Ghost Leg puzzle that decided DAMNATION’s next three challengers. Unfortunately the process was heavily flawed because the three teams picked were all impossible to book for one reason or another. Hisaya Imabayashi disregarded Sasaki’s choices and nominated proper teams instead. On this show Sasaki’s choice of challengers was himself and Yoshiaki Yatsu. Imayashi pointed out that Sasaki is already the champion so Yuki Ueno & Naomi Yoshimura are getting the shot. Oddly enough Imabayashi didn’t sound negative on the idea of Sasaki having to wrestle himself.

Danshoku Dieno is trying to become immune to all martial arts in order to defeat the MMA master Shinya Aoki. His plan to do this is pit himself in a gauntlet of matches against pro wrestlers with martial art and combat sport backgrounds. Now I know what some of you are thinking. Why is he fighting a swimmer? Because Aoki proved last year that he is just as dangerous in the water than he is in the ring. The inclusion of Kabaddi is Dieno thinking outside of the box too.

Takagi ordered Imabayashi not to book him on the show unless he is in the main event. The only way that can happen is if he cashes in his Right To Challenge Gauntlet during or after that match.

Sasaki’s Amidakuji puzzle selected Joey Ryan & Candice LeRae as the KO-D Tag Title challengers for “WRESTLE PETER PAN”. That’s impossible because LeRae is signed to NXT and it is also too late to endorse her for a visa. Sasaki offered to sign her up for a tourist visa but shut down into depression when Imabayashi said she already registered her details with Johnny Gargano. HARASHIMA & Yasu Urano are the challengers instead, creating an unwanted Smile Squash reunion with Soma Takao.

If Ueno & Yoshimura win the KO-D Tag Titles on 30th June, then they will defend the belts against HARASHIMA & Urano. Sasaki & Takao will then be demoted down to teaming with Nobuhiro Shimatani in the opening match.

The last Amidakuji team was supposed to be the newly married celebrity couple Ryota Yamasato & Yu Aoi. Instead we’re getting Joey Ryan & Hiroshi Yamato. It is possible that this title match will be cancelled if Sasaki & Takao lose the championship before the show. What is most likely to happen is the new tag champs will defend the belts in their place but DDT has not ruled out getting rid of the match altogether.

One last thing, DAMNATION have a four year plan in place for his personal goals. In 2019 they want to defend the KO-D Tag Team Titles, in 2020 they want to win gold at the Olympics, in 2021 Sasaki wants to visit the moon and in 2022 Sasaki wants to get married to a divorced Candice LeRae in May of that year.

Takato Nakano’s hometown show was a bit of a rollercoaster for him. He lost a hard fought match to Isami Kodaka where he was able to block the Isamuashi Zan but was put away with the Zeyyari strike that followed it. When the match was over Kodaka pushed Nakano out of the ring because there was one more match left to do and they needed to hurry. The crowd booed Kodaka for not letting Nakano have his moment. However Nakano outlasted all of the other wrestlers to win the main event Battle Royal! This time Kodaka congratulated Nakano and gave him his moment. Kodaka told him the story of when he started training to be a pro wrestler. He was always small but he never ran away from his training no matter how hard it got and how many other trainees progressed ahead of him. Now he’s been a successful pro wrestler for 16 years! He told Nakano that everyone in BASARA are there to help each other grow. He then thanked Nakano for bringing BASARA over to Okayama. Nakano said he gets lots of advice but pro wrestling is tough. But he got to where is today thanks to Kodaka. He loves Kodaka and promises to do his best for BASARA.

The semi-main event may turn out to be a preview of the Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ final if things go a certain way. Semi-finalists Ryota Nakatsu and Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi were on opposite sides of the tag match and got to test each other out. Hiroshi sat down to meditate and invited Nakatsu to kick him. Nakatsu’s partner Ryuichi Sekine won the match by making SAGAT submit.

Today’s matches between BASARA and Dove Pro ended in a 1-1 draw. BASARA got the first win when Daichi Kazato beat Yuki Aoki. Later in the show the Dove team of Gunso & Kabuki Kid were victorious over IRON PRIEST.

It’s been a month since he won it but Shigehiro Irie is ready for his first KO-D Openweight Title defence. Kazusada Higuchi has been a thorn in his side in the build up to this match. Power Vs Power is to be expected here but some words from Higuchi suggests that something more will be needed to determine who wins.

How much can you take DAMNATION at their word? They promise not to cheat or interfere in the DDT Extreme Title Match for the sake of sportsmanship but other than that there hasn’t really been anything else put in place to enforce the stipulation.

KUDO is celebrating 15 years of being a pro wrestler but everyone else involved in the match have their own accomplishments from 15 years ago to celebrate from company debuts to tournament wins.

DDT’s website has given a run down on Sammy Guevara in preparation for his debut. He’s being put in the ring against Mike Bailey because he might go through the same road Bailey has been on during his DDT career so far. Guevara’s nickname of “The Best Ever” has DDT wondering if he can prove it. Whatever happens, this could be the start of a new Japanese dream for a foreign wrestler. I think they have high hopes for this lad.
