Although Ken Ohka & Hiroaki Moriya lost to Touchable in the title match main event, they still have belief in their abilities to change Japan in a positive way with their pro wrestling. Moriya told Ohka they just need to energize and do their best.

After Match #4, Yuto Kikuchi gestured to Mizuki Watase that he wants to fight him for a championship next time. Watase signalled that he can fight him for either the Spirit Of Ganbare World Title or the King Of FREEDOM World Tag Team Titles.

Each match will have a ten minute time limit. As best as I can tell, the winner of the one night round robin will be whoever has the highest score of total falls in all of their Iron Man matches combined. Given the show consists of ten Iron Man Matches that sounds like a nightmare to keep track of for one night.

The first two “URANO EN” events that Yasu Urano put together took place last year and were both Iron Man matches with Ikuto Hidaka and Akito respectively. The matches are on Minoru Fujita’s Youtube channel under the Live archive tab. I don’t think I’m going to follow this regularly unless BASARA continues to help promote it.

They need to make a convincing argument so they’ve challenged MAO & KANON for the KO-D Tag Team Titles. If they win the belts they hope it will raise their power within DDT to start making some business demands and turn the company towards the TGC and gacha industries.

Shunma Katsumata wants MAO to be his first opponent for his big return match. It’s a match MAO has wanted too because one of the reasons he left The 37KAMIINA was to become Katsumata’s opponent rather than his teammate.

His match hasn’t been announced yet but DDT’s newest signing Masami Inahata will debut on this show.

Sumi being in the final rips apart my theory that he is the new member of Strange Love Connection.

Ryoma Tsukamoto makes an unexpected appearance to fill in for Daichi Sato.

Finally all four members of FANTÔMES DRAMATIC are all teaming together.

Yasu Urano is putting together a one day Round Robin tournament between himself, Ikuto Hidaka, Ayato Yoshida, Fuminori Abe and Ilusion. Urano chose that lineup because he wanted two wrestlers in their 50s, two in their 30s and one in his 20s. But here’s the catch. Every match is an Iron Man match, ten in total!

The aftermath of the DGC group stages left To-y in bad humour because Yuki Ishida was partially responsible for him failing to win the A Block. That then led to To-y bringing up the time Ishida got drunk on a night out and To-y had to pay his tab of 40,000 yen. He figured out a DDT Extreme Title match between the two can settle the matter. If To-y wins then not only does he defend his championship but Ishida will have to pay him back the 40,000 yen!

The Super Family are hitting some sort of rough patch after failing to win the Iron Fist Tag Team Titles on the last show. Lil’ Kraken wonders if they should split up but SAGAT still wants to team with him. After taking a day to think about it, the decision was made to have the two face each other in a singles bout. Is this just something to get their frustrations out or will it be a (super) family rift that cannot be healed?

Yuki Ishida from DDT makes another appearance here. He’ll take on BASARA’s young prospect Takeru Inoue in the opener.

Ober Eats are now just one win away from winning the whole thing and living up to the votes they got for the Best Tag Team category in the recent Tokyo Sports Awards. Meanwhile Mizuki & Uta Takami are on something of a miracle run as a tag team, although they want to prove they deserve to be here through hard work and well earned success instead of luck and good fortune.

There’s an alternate timeline where Daydream and Kyoto Tag could have been a semi final match in the tournament. Instead they’re facing each other on the undercard to help build up March’s Princess Of Princess Title match between Miu Watanabe and Yuki Arai.

Opponents have now become tag partners. Shoko Nakajima liked wrestling Sara Phoenix so much she wants to team with her. They may end up being a bounce back team for Daisy Monkey though.

A first win awaits for either Ren Konatsu or Shion Kanzaki.

For the first time in a year Ganbare☆Pro was back in Osaka. Shota was in a hard fought match today teaming with Asuka against Team Drift. Asuka was taken out by Shigehiro Irie’s Beast Bomber, leaving Shota to fight Keisuke Ishii. Shota countered the High Angle Double Arm DDT into the Gannosuke Clutch but only got a nearfall out of it. Ishii cut off Shota with a Running Knee and pinned him with the Double Arm DDT. Ishii said he didn’t want to be left behind because the other three wrestlers have a lot of momentum behind them. For him it was a stubborn match and a stubborn victory. Shota is finding himself in a rut since losing the Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title during the week. He hasn’t won a match since then and now he has to figure out what to do against Yasu Urano now that there is no championship at stake.

The battle of the dads began with Shoichi Uchida trying to start a “Child Support” chant. He doesn’t have a good history with marriage (twice divorced and four kids in total) which makes him mad when he sees other wrestlers with happy families, like Ken Ohka. The two of them argued over their opinions about marriage as the match turned more into a No DQ brawl with chairs involved. Uchida was motivated enough to kick out of the Fire Spear at one but Ohka finished him off with the Vertical Drop Brainbuster. Ohka shouted at Uchida “Why didn’t you show that passion when you were married?” while he pinned him.

Yuna Manase wanted the GWC 6-Man Tag Team Titles put on the line at the last minute. THE HALFEE turned her down until Yumehito Imanari handed out pWo (Pocchari World Order) shirts to his tag partners to show they are a unit. Kuuga was given an S sized shirt which he hated so he walked off. He came back when Manase took out an XL shirt for him. THE HALFEE agreed to defend the titles and came out on top. Katsuzaki Shunosuke said the teamwork they’ve been doing for over a year wasn’t going to lost against a brand new team. Shu Sakurai wants to defend the trios title all the time in 2021 and end the year with THE HALFEE appearing in the Red And White Song Battle on New Year’s Eve. Moehiko Harumisawa is annoyed that she didn’t maintain their instruments properly. Imanari still thinks forming the pWo with Manase is a good idea.

Sekine Taking A Break, This Weekend’s Cards

Ryuichi Sekine will be taking an indefinite leave of absence from wrestling on 1st February to take care of his mental health. He has lost his motivation to wrestle and feels it would be disrespectful to the fans if he continued. Sekine had even considered leaving BASARA but talked to the promotion over the decision. BASARA decided it would be better for him to take a good rest away from the ring. Sekine promises to do his best for his remaining matches this month.

He should respect Shota more and not look down on that result but as the UNIVERSAL Champion he has a standard to live up to. He must not let the title go to someone who can’t decide if he is indie or major.

The D-Ou Grand Prix is over for another year and the winner Jun Akiyama gets the KO-D Openweight Title shot against Tetsuya Endo in February. Akiyama put over Endo and the KO-D Title huge by including Endo with Tetsuya Naito and Go Shiozaki as the only three champions that matter to him. Endo did beat Akiyama in their D-Ou group match so Akiyama needs to fight his heart out if he wants to win. Endo watched the final between Akiyama and Konosuke Takeshita, leaving him with some strong opinions. He can tell the difference between the two wrestlers. According to Endo, Takeshita only thinks about himself while Akiyama is thinking about the entire wrestling industry. Endo likes the praise of his title reign he is getting from Akiyama and it makes him proud of increasing the KO-D Title’s value. So when Endo beats Akiyama again in Culttz Kawasaki, he will call the KO-D Title the number one championship in Japan and himself the number one wrestler in Japan!

The teams were drawn today and all of them are first time pairings. All the wrestlers met up with each other and came up with their team names there and then.

Last year, Ryuji Ito and Shunma Katsumata were meant to team up for the Shuffle Tag Tournament but Ito caught the flu and couldn’t compete. They eventually got to team up in Big Japan and Katsumata wants to give back to Ito for opening the door into death matches for him. Ito has been called a death match artist so Katsumata wants to be the “Death Match Makeup Artist”. According to him this match will be his Big Japan Coloring Project.

There is one other match planned for the show.
