The show will be held at the newly opened Shibuya Stream Hall. The venue is part of a 35 storey, 180m high building next to the Shibuya River and near Shibuya Station. With the 2020 Olympics on the horizon, new venues are opening up in Japan and hopefully that means new places for the DDT family to go. The Kanda Myojin Hall opening near Akihabara in December will be one such venue for Tokyo Joshi Pro.

The STRONG HEARTS have invaded DDT! Some big matches between them and ALL OUT were booked for “RYOGOKU PETER PAN 2018” but their first confrontation will be an 8-Man Tag Match this Tuesday.

Normally I would balk at the idea of Gota Ihashi replacing MAO but credit where it’s due, Ihashi is doing a great job getting into shape.

According to Nodoka Tenma, she and Yuki Aino were always given identical gifts by their mother. Clothes, bags, food, everything. Tenma wants to continue this trend by getting identical championship belts for her and her sister. The TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles are just the kind of belts she is looking for. Aino admits that it is too soon for her to challenge for a championship but with her sister by her side she is determined to succeed.

8. KO-D Openweight Title: Danshoku Dieno (c) Vs Daisuke Sasaki

Danshoku Dieno will achieve his dream of main eventing “RYOGOKU PETER PAN” and as the KO-D Openweight Champion to boot. A bitter and hateful Daisuke Sasaki stands opposite him. His fortunes turned around after he was dumped by Asuka (the WAVE one). By hating everything, Sasaki went on to win the King Of DDT tournament to get to this spot. Now all that’s left is for him to win the KO-D Title to bring DDT back under DAMNATION.

STRONG HEARTS came to DDT to challenge ALL OUT. Konosuke Takeshita turned the tables a bit by challenging the STRONG HEARTS leader CIMA to a singles match. DDT’s young supernova will go one on one with one of the most influential wrestlers on the Japanese scene for the last 20 years! Meanwhile the rest of ALL OUT face off against three members of STRONG HEARTS. T-Hawk & El Lindaman are well known from their Dragon Gate work. Tian Yunan is the wild card from the unit’s home promotion OWE. Yunan wrestled exclusively for OWE in China until this month when he made his Japan debut replacing an injured Gao Jingjia on a Wrestle-1 card.

The newest women’s wrestler to debut in DDT is Mina Shirakawa, a gravure idol and devoted wrestling fan who trained to become a pro wrestler in April. She had her first pro match in August as part of a Best Body Japan event that was also supported by DDT. Shirakawa teamed with Shoko Nakajima in a losing effort against Reika Saiki & model Hoshimi Muramatsu. Shirakawa has since traveled to Mexico to train and wrestle her second match as part of a lucha libre expo.

4. Mizuki Vs Maki Itoh ended in a Time Limit Draw (15:00).
5. Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Aino defeated Yuka Sakazaki & Hikari when Aino pinned Hikari with the Side Suplex (12:10).
6. Azusa Takigawa Debut 3rd Anniversary Memorial Match: Miyu Yamashita defeated Azusa Takigawa with the Crash Rabbit Heat (14:14).

Today was a very important day for Azusa Takigawa. She was celebrating her third year as a pro wrestler with a big match against Miyu Yamashita. Takigawa was anticipating it so much she was annoyed that there were no cake or decorations set up to surprise her when she came out. She moved on from that and asked Yamashita to sing a graduation song with her while they held hands. That turned into an opportunity for Takigawa to blindside Yamashita with an attack but Yamashita was ready for her. The end of the match had Takigawa trying to counter the Attitude Adjustment into a Crucifix Pin. Unfortunately Takigawa wasn’t strong enough and Yamashita was able to hit the Attitude Adjustment. A few Buzzsaw Kicks and the Crash Rabbit Heat brought an end to the match.

Takigawa cried over the result and Yamashita tried to cheer her up. Yamashita doesn’t want Takigawa to graduate but she knows she won’t change her mind. Yamashita was happy to help make today memorable for Takigawa and she congratulated her. Takigawa thanked her for the match and said Yamashita will get a copy of her new gravure photobook. It’s already been paid for with a deduction from Yamashita’s wages. Takigawa then said she will look forward to seeing what Tokyo Joshi Pro will be like in 10 years, 20 years, 50 years and 100 years time!

Yuki Aino won her first match today, pinning Hikari with the Side Suplex in a tag match. Aino & Nodoka Tenma then challenged the Magical Suger Rabbits to a TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles Match. Nodoka said that she and Aino have always had matching bags and clothes ever since they were children. Now she wants them to have matching championship belts! Yuka Sakazaki wasn’t convinced enough to give them the match. Aino admitted it is early for her to challenge for a championship but with her sister by her side she is confident they can win. Sakazaki liked what she heard and accepted the challenge.

The much anticipated match between Maki Itoh and Mizuki ended without a winner as the 15 minute time limit expired. Itoh grabbed the microphone and said even though it was a draw, in her head she heard a three count. Itoh admitted defeat. However Mizuki admitted defeat too, saying in her mind she was tapping out. They passed the microphone back and forth talking between the tears about wanting to do more but having no time. Itoh encouraged Mizuki to move on now she is a tag team champion with someone else. She will still be in the ring with her but instead of standing beside her, she will stand in front of her! All Itoh wants now is Mizuki to give her true feelings about the Itoh Respect Army. Mizuki yelled she doesn’t want to and she will always stand by Itoh’s side. Itoh struck Mizuki with an Elbow Smash and the two bowed to each other in thanks. They left the ring together with Itoh singing “Ultra Soul”.

Yuu & Raku came up with a new way to do the Good Night Express. Yuu lifted up Raku and cradled her to sleep before laying her on top of Reika Saiki to complete the Express. It still didn’t win the match though.

Yuki Kamifuku used lipstick to mess up Shoko Nakajima’s ace during their match. Nakajima grabbed the lipstick and went to do the same but Kamifuku dodged it and Daisuke Kiso got his face messed up instead. Nakajima was able to use the lipstick on Kamifuku against the ropes to set up a 619. She then won with the Northern Lights Suplex.

It was announced that Azusa Takigawa and Nonoko will reform Konkatsu-gun for one night only on 3rd October.

6. Miyu Yamashita, Yuka Sakazaki & Shoko Nakajima defeated Reika Saiki, Maki Itoh & Miu when Yamashita pinned Miu with the Attitude Adjustment (17:55).

Miyu Yamashita, Yuka Sakazaki & Shoko Nakajima returned from their American adventure to defeat Reika Saiki, Maki Itoh & Miu in today’s main event. Their speech after the match was interrupted by Itoh who demanded a singles match with Mizuki. She will get what she wants and the match was booked for 22nd September. Sakazaki told Itoh that Mizuki is hers now. Yamashita & Nakajima cooled the situation down by thanking everybody for supporting them and Tokyo Joshi Pro. They promise to do their best so everybody around the world can watch them.

The America love spread over to Yuna Manase and Hyper Misao. Both of them put their heads together to create the Queen Of USA Match. Along with the regular wrestling rules, the match could also be won when somebody wears a USA hat and correctly dances to the song “USA” by DA PUMP. There were points when Daisuke Kiso and Sayuri Nanba had the hat put on their head. Eventually both Manase and Misao both wore hats and danced while they fought until Koda judged Manase to be the winner.

Azusa Takigawa has renamed the Christie Agape. It is now called the Broadcaster. On 22nd September, Takigawa will face Yamashita for her 3rd Anniversary Match.

*The Magical Sugar Rabbits become the 4th TOKYO Princess Tag Team Champions!
7. TOKYO Princess Of Princess Title: Miyu Yamashita (c) defeated Yuu with the Crash Rabbit Heat (17:09).
*V5 for Miyu Yamashita.

No amount of chops can stop Miyu Yamashita! At first Yuu had an answer for Yamashita by blocking the Crash Rabbit Heat, hitting plenty of chops at her opponent’s chest and tossing the champion over with a Judo Throw. But Yamashita escaped from the Last Ride and wore down Yuu with many different kicks. Yuu blocked a Buzzsaw Kick but Yamashita tricked her with a feint so she could hit a Backspin Kick right on the button. From there Yamashita was able to hit the Crash Rabbit Heat to earn a 5th successful defence of the TOKYO Princess Title.

The result was something Yamashita wanted to achieve for a long time. When she was the first Princess Champion, she lost the belt to Yuu in Korakuen Hall. That stuck with her until today when she was able to avenge the loss in the same building. Yamashita said she will continue to raise Tokyo Joshi Pro and will defend the title against anyone who challenges her. Priscilla Kelly came out and with Yuki Kamifuku translating for her to mixed results, congratulated the champion for a great match and challenged her to a title match. Yamashita accepted and said she wants the match on 14th October in Fukuoka, her hometown. They shook hands until Kelly licked Yamashita up the arm and left the ring.

An emotional end to the TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles match saw Mizuki pin Maki Itoh but not before Itoh put everything into trying to win and collapsing in the process. Itoh even did her own Diving Foot Stomp to her now possibly former Itoh Respect Army member. Things look bleak for the Magical Sugar Rabbits when Itoh & Reika Saiki put them both in Crab Holds in the centre of the ring. Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki persevered be grabbing each other by the hand and crawling together towards the ropes. Itoh missed a Diving Big Head which allowed Sakazaki to hit the Magical Girl Splash and Mizuki to follow it up with her Diving Foot Stomp. Itoh eventually got up looking to trade blows with Mizuki but she collapsed from exhaustion. She was still able to kick out of a pin but she was done when she ran into the Cutie Special. After the match Itoh had a staredown with Mizuki and left the ring so Mizuki could celebrate her first championship win in Tokyo Joshi with Sakazaki.

Riho bested Shoko Nakajima in the battle between the 619s. Nakajima got a nearfall with the Northern Lights Suplex but missed the Diving Senton. Riho capitalised by hitting the Somato to grab the victory.

Azusa Takigawa’s final match at Korakuen Hall was also Saki Akai’s first Tokyo Joshi match as herself in the same venue. Takigawa tried to motivate herself when she was in a troubled spot by telling everyone she cannot lose if she wants to get signed by Akai’s agency. She gave Akai the Christie Agape and pinned her Azusa Christie style but only got a two count. Akai recovered and hit the Rookie Award for the victory. She praised Takigawa for putting up a good fight. In a backstage interview Akai was told that she resembles a certain French girl who wrestled in Tokyo Joshi recently. Akai isn’t interested in her although she’s been told they look alike.

Hyper Misao’s crafty plan for her match against Priscilla Kelly was to bring in Shota to falsely translate her welcome message for Kelly. Misao told the audience that Kelly does not understand Japanese so she will tell them about her plan. Shota told Kelly in English that Misao wanted a clean fight. Misao also said she expects Kelly will lick her face so she rubbed wasabi on her mask before the match. Kelly briefly fainted when she licked the mask but she recovered in time to continue fighting. Misao took out a tube of wasabi paste but Kelly grabbed it off her and squeezed out the wasabi into Misao’s mouth while she was in a Dragon Sleeper. Priscilla won the match with a Cross Arm Neckbreaker Drop from the turnbuckles.

A new name, a new look, a new song and a new finishing move for Nodoka Tenma. She now uses the Killswitch to win her matches. She described today as the beginning of her second season. Chapter one was Nodoka-oneesan, Chapter two is Nodoka Tenma. She is certain both will be remembered as masterpieces!

Yukinori Matsui officiated an Up Up Girls match for the first time so he was confused by their antics like when Raku did the Good Night Express sit down on Miu. The end came with Miu giving Raku a Canadian Backbreaker Drop while Hikari hit a Missile Dropkick to Hinano. Hikari then made Hinano submit to a grounded Cobra Twist. This was the Up Up Girls’ first match in Korakuen since their debut back in January. Hikari took the losing fall in that match so she got to experience the opposite side in the same place today!

More sad news coming out of Tokyo Joshi Pro in the lead-up to their next Korakuen Hall show. Azusa Takigawa has announced she will graduate from Tokyo Joshi later this year with her final match taking place on 27th October. This had been planned for around a year with Takigawa consulting with management over the decision. Talks went away when Takigawa was brainwashed by NEO Biishiki-gun and transformed into Azusa Christie. But with her persona back to normal and her memories returned, she is sticking with her plan to graduate this year. For her final appearance in Korakuen Hall, Takigawa wanted to fight Saki Akai. When Takigawa visited Tetsuya Koda in late 2014 to join Tokyo Joshi it happened around the same time when Akai won the Best Rookie category in the Tokyo Sports Awards. Takigawa was worried about entering wrestling when she was given the article about Akai winning the award. What Takigawa saw was a beautiful person working so hard on pro wrestling and she admired Akai ever since. Akai has spent all this time working for DDT instead of Tokyo Joshi so Takigawa never got the chance to wrestle her until now. Since Akai has a modelling contract with Oscar Promotion, Takigawa hopes that if she wins the match she can use Akai’s connection to get signed to the agency as a caster or reporter. She’s been working hard for the last three years so she believes she has the power to make her dream come true! While Akai has been absent from Tokyo Joshi for a long time, she’s still been paying attention to the brand and has watched Takigawa grow. She thinks Takigawa is showing great courage to graduate at this time.

That isn’t the only absence in the roster coming up. Sakisama next gave everyone the news that she will be returning to Paris after the 18th August show and will no longer be wrestling for Tokyo Joshi, for a while at least. Sakisama was already planning to leave with the rest of NEO Biishiki-gun earlier this month but she decided to stay behind for a little bit for a personal reason. She has an eye out for her upcoming opponent Hikari. She called her the “Blue Fruit” of the Up Up Girls and she wants to squeeze all the juice out of her before she leaves for Paris. Sakisama said it was inspiring to see Azusa Christie wrestle against her at the Beer Garden show. Before Christie was too dependent on her like a child but Sakisama got to see her change as they fought each other. Plus it was even a little fun, Sakisama admits.

The two teams in the TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles match have signed the contract to make it official. Mizuki said she has twice tried to win the belts with Maki Itoh for Maki Itoh. This time she has the chance to win it for herself so she doesn’t want to miss that opportunity. Yuka Sakazaki wants revenge on Reika Saiki for losing the TOKYO Princess Title to her last year. Saiki has come around on the idea of teaming with Itoh for the match. She thinks having Itoh as her partner raises her chances of regaining the titles she never lost. Itoh describes her feelings about Mizuki joining another team being like finding out a boyfriend has found another woman. However she can use this disappointment as motivation to win the championships. Even if she fails it will be valuable experience.

8. Yeah! Metcha Tag Tournament 2018 Summer – Final: Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki defeated Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao when Sakazaki pinned Misao with the Magical Magical Girl Splash (14:16).

The makeshift team known as the Magical Sugar Rabbits came out as the winners of the first Yeah! Metcha Tag Tournament. The big story is the day before the show, news came out that the Muscle JK Strikers vacated the TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles because Marika Kobashi is not ready to return from injury yet. When Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki won the tournament today they both asked Tetsuya Koda to give them the belts and make them the new champions. Koda told them no. The belts will instead be put on the line at Korakuen Hall on 25th August. Sakazaki & Mizuki convinced Koda to put them in the match. When he did, Maki Itoh came down to the ring. At first Itoh was annoyed that Mizuki is going after the Tag Titles without her. But she’s willing to let that slide if she gets to be on the other team. She even knows who her partner will be, Reika Saiki! Saiki told Itoh she wants to wait for Kobashi to be cleared so the Strikers can get their belts back. However Kobashi gave Saiki her blessing to go ahead because she doesn’t know when she will return to the ring. Saiki isn’t thrilled with the idea but she accepted Itoh’s offer. Sakazaki & Mizuki Vs Itoh & Saiki for the vacant Tag Titles is now set!

The battle of NEO Biishiki-gun was tense throughout. Sakisama and Yukio Saint Laurent were careful not to make the first mistake when the match began. They both tagged out without laying a finger on each other. When Martha and Azusa Christie faced off they fought using Martha’s mop as a weapon. The match heated up to the point where Laurent took out his anaesthetics and jabbed both Sakisama & Martha in the back with them. Martha grabbed her mop and used it to great effect on Laurent. Christie gave Sakisama the Christie Agape but it only got a two count. Sakisama caught Christie by surprise with the Versailles Foot Choke. Christie had enough strength left to kick out of a Running PK but the Academy Award put her down for the count. After the match Sakisama said she now understands how Laurent got Christie to act against orders. It was all so Laurent could cut out the weak part of Christie’s heart. She is no longer weak. She is now a good woman and it is time for her to fly away. Sakisama and Martha will be returning to Paris so they can spend the rest of the summer travelling the world. It was time for them to go and leave Christie by herself. Christie began to cry because she is all alone. She cannot do anything on her own.

Suddenly a voice called out to her. It’s Nonoko! She told Christie she is not alone. Everybody in Tokyo Joshi Pro is there to support her. Nonoko reminded Azusa that she was the No. 1 Announcer in Tokyo Joshi. She also brought up Konsho-gun and she handed Azusa an issue of Zexy Magazine. Azusa remembers she wants to get married as an announcer! There were celebrations all round until Nonoko accidentally hit Azusa in the head with the magazine. When she came too her first words were “Where am I? Who am I?”

Thankfully her memories came back to her at the end of the show. She reintroduced herself as Azusa Takigawa, a 30 year old woman who aspires to be an announcer. Rika Tatsumi pointed out that Takigawa turned 31 last month. Takigawa doesn’t remember that so she’s still 30.

4. Yuu & Nodoka-oneesan defeated Miyu Yamashita & Raku when Yuu submitted Raku with the Katahajime (11:16).
5. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1: Rika Tatsumi defeated Azusa Christie with the Dragon Sleeper (10:23).
6. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1: Yuka Sakazaki defeated Mizuki with the Magical Magical Girl Splash (18:10).

Yuka Sakazaki used the Merry Go Round to position Mizuki for the Magical Magical Girl Splash. The Merry Go Round is a move used by Sakazaki’s twin sister Mil Clown. Sakazaki herself never used the move before today. After the main event Sakazaki said she does not want to lose this summer. She acknowledged that there are several girls missing from today’s show. That’s not good but she knows none of them wanted to miss it because everybody in Tokyo Joshi Pro fights together.

Rika Tatsumi wants to beat Shoko Nakajima in the next round for Maho Kurone. Nakajima and Kurone were supposed to have their match today before Kurone pulled out of the tournament. Tatsumi will pass on any good news from Kurone’s grave where the zombie is currently resting as soon as she hears from her.

Due to their current run of bad luck, Azusa Christie thinks NEO Biishiki-gun has become cursed somehow. She wants an investigation team to come in and er… investigate. Maybe Yuki Kamifuku is to blame.

Kamifuku tried to make Reika Saiki tired by challenging her to do squats. Saiki was able to do ten of them with Kamifuku getting a piggy back from her. Kamifuku tried to roll her into a pin afterwards but Saiki kicked out and won the match with the Jackhammer.

During the week Hyper Misao joined Makoto Oishi and Kamifuku to create a new unofficial section of the Up Up Girls called Up Up Girls (Fake). Today Misao continues to act like she is part of the group. She told everyone that she is the youngest member of the group at 17 years old and their next song will be called “Upper Hero”. She started to dance and was about to sing when Hikari, Miu & Hinano all kicked her down. The Up Up Girls did well with the 3-on-2 advantage until Misao blinded the referee and put her foot on the ropes while pinning Hinano. When the ref regained his sight he didn’t notice Misao’s use of the ropes and counted the pin.

The complete list of 2nd Round matches are Reika Saiki Vs Hyper Misao, Miyu Yamashita Vs Nodoka-oneesan, Rika Tatsumi Vs Shoko Nakajima and Yuka Sakazaki Vs Hikari. They will all take place on 17th June in Tokyo Narimasu Act Hall.

*V1 for Muscle JK Strikers.

Two days after her 17th birthday, Marika Kobashi celebrated with a successful TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles defence alongside Reika Saiki. Kobashi said she was given a wonderful gift of being a pro wrestler. She aims to be a wrestler that suits both the championship and the Muscle JK lifestyle.

Yuki Kamifuku’s apprenticeship with NEO Biishiki-gun is already off to a bad start. First she ignored her entrance cue and appeared on the stage too early. Azusa Christie had to pull her back up the stage so they could do the team entrance properly. Kamifuku later tried to attack Yuu with a rose but was easily disposed of, leading to her team’s defeat. After the match, Kamifuku thanked NEO Biishiki-gun for making her an apprentice then announced she is leaving the unit! Turns out it wasn’t a good fit for her. Still, Kamifuku would like to hang out with them again whenever they have a tea party. Saki-sama and Christie were left stunned by her decision.

Match #4 was changed from a 3 Way Match to a Singles Match between Yuka Sakazaki and Nodoka-oneesan. The third girl Maho Kurone had to miss the show because she had a high fever.

Raku was a ball of nerves before her match with Miyu Yamashita, to the point where she was reportedly crying backstage before her entrance. However she was able to do her best and came out of it thinking it was the most fun she’s had in the ring so far.

Pro wrestling is a wonderful sport that can make dreams come true. Hyper Misao believes that and is living proof after she wrestled her inspiration Jun Kasai. Now she has a new dream to be an idol with the Up Up Girls! She convinced Miu and Hinano to dance with her while Shoko Nakajima was left confused over what to do. It was all a trick so Misao & Hinano could jump attack their opponents to start their match.

6. Yuka Sakazaki, Maki Itoh & Mizuki defeated Miyu Yamashita, Marika Kobashi & Rika Tatsumi when Mizuki pinned Kobashi with the Cutie Special (14:47).

Rika Tatsumi had to get over her crush on Mizuki so she could wrestle her. The Ito Respect Army gave Marika Kobashi a Double DDT while Yuka Sakazaki wiped out Tatsumi & Miyu Yamashita with the Magical Girls Splash. Mizuki then pinned Kobashi with the Cutie Special. After the match Maki Itoh told Kobashi to get stronger for the TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles Match later this month because Itoh doesn’t want to be in a boring match.

The poor referee assigned to the Maho Kurone Vs Su Yung match had his arms bitten by both at the same time. Yung hit Kurone with a rope assisted Pedigree and won with the Panic Switch. The two seemed to have patched up their differences after the match.

Yuki Kamifuku approached NEO Biishiki-gun after Match #4 asking to join the group. She thinks Saki-sama & Azusa Christie look so cool and stylish tgoether that she wants to be a part of it too. Christie was furious at the idea and thought Kamifuku was rude to ask them. Saki-sama however thought it was an interesting idea. Kamifuku isn’t at the level to join yet but she can be their apprentice for now. Kamifuku is happy with the decision. Christie is not.

Shoko Nakajima won her match with an Inverted Rings Of Saturn submission hold she calls the Unmanned Local Train Hold. It’s a Shin Godzilla reference according to the DDT English Update twitter account.

Hyper Misao told Nodoka-oneesan that she owns the patent on saying hello to the audience. Since Nodoka has been greeting the audience ever since her debut in January 2016, Misao worked out that Nodoka owes her 4,536,000 yen in overdue patent fees. However because they are friends, Nodoka only has to pay her 4,000,000 yen. When Yuki Kamifuku got in the way Misao and Nodoka worked together to get rid of her. Nodoka gave Kamifuku the Back Flip. Misao then snuck away with the win by pinning Kamifuku with the I Am A Hero. She was so happy with the win that she dropped the debt Nodoka supposedly owes her.
