1. Yuka Sakazaki, Mizuki, Haruna Neko & Kaya Toribami defeated Marika Kobashi, Raku, Pom Harajuku & Mahiro Kiryu when Mizuki pinned Harajuku with the Diving Foot Stomp (11:44).
2. 2nd “Futari wa Princess” Max Heart Tournament – Round 2: Moka Miyamoto & Yuki Arai defeated Suzume & Arisu Endo when Miyamoto submitted Endo with the Rashomon (11:41).
3. 2nd “Futari wa Princess” Max Heart Tournament – Round 2: Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Aino defeated Hikari Noa & Nao Kakuta when Aino pinned Kakuta with the Venus DDT (13:16).
4. 2nd “Futari wa Princess” Max Heart Tournament – Round 2: Yuki Kamifuku & Asuka defeated Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh when Kamifuku pinned Itoh with the Famouser (15:57).
5. 2nd “Futari wa Princess” Max Heart Tournament – Round 2: Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe defeated Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao when Tatsumi pinned Misao with the Missile Hips (14:57).

The Max Heart Tournament is down to four teams with some heavy hitters taken out in the process. Daydream eliminated Kyoraku Kyomei in the main event. Rika Tatsumi is now confident that she & Miu Watanabe will win the tournament because they defeated the team that beat The Magical Sugar Rabbits in Round 1. Hyper Misao blames herself for losing today but Shoko Nakajima consoled her over it.

VENYU continue to be an unexpectedly powerful force by knocking out 121000000. The two singles champions of Tokyo Joshi Pro are now eliminated! Asuka and Miyu Yamashita took each other out with a Spin Kick Vs Skull Kick exchange. That left Yuki Kamifuku to take the pin after giving Maki Itoh the Famouser. Asuka was satisfied by the match. She pointed out she didn’t get to wrestle Itoh in AEW and she knew the fans wanted to see it. She was also happy to finally wrestle Yamashita. Itoh is taking the loss in her stride and clearly sees what is in her future. Kamifuku got her attention.

Never count out The Bakuretsu Sisters, even when the team is entering its twilight period. It’s their last tournament together so Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Aino are doing their best, beating Free WiFi as they head into the semi-finals. Tenma says they don’t need to use Free WiFi because she’s got a fixed line at home. Nao Kakuta still thinks she did well with Hikari Noa and wants them to get stronger together so they can challenge for the Princess Tag Team Titles.

The Cinderella team of the tournament turned out to be MokaYuki. A Full Nelson Buster from Yuki Arai kept Suzume down so Moka Miyamoto could make Arisu Endo submit to the Rashomon. Arai was amazed by the result because Arisuzu are a more organised team compared to their classmates. They are now carrying a lot of momentum into the next round.

The semi-final draw was held at the end of the show. All the remaining teams grabbed a piece of paper and the teams with the same colours will face each other. So on 29th January we are getting Daydream Vs MokaYuki and The Bakuretsu Sisters Vs VENYU!

Sayuri Namba was absent from the show after she tested positive for covid. Big Japan’s usual ring announcer Yuji Shindo filled in for her and Yuki Aino helped him through the opening announcements.

6. Okayama Special 6-Woman Tag Match: Nodoka Tenma, Yuki Aino & Shoko Nakajima defeated Miyu Yamashita, Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe when Tenma pinned Watanabe after the Bakuretsu Bulldog (16:46).

The Bakuretsu Sisters celebrated their return home to Okayama by teaming with Shoko Nakajima, reuniting the Tokyo Joshi Tokusatsu Club. After winning the main event, Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Aino thanked everyone for gathering together for the show today. This was going to be Tenma’s last wrestling match in Okayama but it turned out to be the best one. They then said they wanted to got out and eat mochi rice cakes to celebrate. Nakajima told Tenma that next year they should put a wrestling ring in her field and hold a match at her farm. Tenma was already eating the mochi while Nakajima was telling her this.

Mizuki & Yuki Arai stacked up their opponents one by one for Yuka Sakazaki to finish them off. Arai dropped Marika Kobashi with the Full Nelson Buster, Mizuki placed Suzume onto Kobashi and Double Stomped both of them and Sakazaki threw Arisu Endo on top with the Magical Merry-Go-Round to complete the stacking.

Another first time team advanced to the Max Heart Tournament 2nd Round. Hikari Noa & Nao Kakuta had no problem beating the animal pairing of Haruna Neko & Kaya Toribami, describing it like they just devoured a delicious meal of cat and bird. Noa & Kakuta also now have a team name. They want everybody to see their matches so their team is called Free WiFi!

Nodoka Tenma And Marika Kobashi Graduating From TJPW Next Spring

December 6, 2021

Today it was announced that both Nodoka Tenma and Marika Kobashi will be graduating from Tokyo Joshi Pro next year. Tenma will leave the company on 26th March while Kobashi is finishing up on 17th April. Tenma’s graduation is a complete retirement from pro wrestling. Kobashi however says the possibility of a future return to the ring is not at zero percent.

Tenma had been thinking about her future around the time her family started growing their own rice and vegetables as a hobby. Over time it developed into Tenma wanting to get into agriculture and grow food for her hometown Okayama. She had talked to Tetsuya Koda and the company about her plans to retire and when the Sumo Hall show was announced for 19th March, she made it her final goal as a pro wrestler to be there. She still has things to do in wrestling such as her homecoming show in Okayama on 9th January so she will do her best for her final months. She also wants to make The Bakuretsu Sisters with Yuki Aino become even more explosive by challenging for the Princess Tag Team Titles one more time.

Kobashi made her decision to focus on her education. She’s been wrestling in TJPW since she was 14 years old and today at 20 she is in university. She only has two years left in college and wants to live the student life. While she is graduating from TJPW, she does not want it to be treated as a retirement from wrestling. The time may come in the future where she would like to wrestle again but for now she wants to live her life to the fullest. Kobashi promises to return the love the fans gave her with even more in her final months. She would also like to team with Abdullah Kobayashi because he is one of her favorite wrestlers (Marika’s ring name was never inspired by Kenta Kobashi. It instead came from the “Ko” in Abdullah Kobayashi and “hashi” from Atsushi Ohashi. Kenta Kobashi himself was speechless when he found out about this).

Since Kenta Kobashi will be in attendance to see the D-Ou Grand Prix final, Tetsuya Endo decided to visit him at his gym during the week to get some feedback on his tournament performance. Endo also brought up his plans to create a new unit. He asked Kobashi for advice, citing Kobashi’s experience leading units such as GET and Burning. Kobashi said a unit needs a strategist so Endo’s position would improve if he finds a councilor. Endo immediately asked Kobashi if he could take that role in the unit. Kobashi declined because he is not interested in returning to the ring. He did however invite Endo back to his gym again after the Grand Prix so they could talk more about potential members for Endo’s new unit.

7. Princess Tag Team Titles: Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki (c) defeated Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh when Mizuki pinned Yamashita with the Cutie Special (24:17).
*V1 for The Magical Sugar Rabbits.

The final Korakuen Hall show for the year in Tokyo Joshi Pro saw The Magical Sugar Rabbits retain the Princess Tag Team Titles against 121000000. The battle came down to Mizuki and Miyu Yamashita in the final minutes. Yamashita had Maki Itoh on hand to set up team moves but Yuka Sakazaki was there to get rid of Itoh until she was struck down with the Skull Kick. It was all up to Mizuki from there and she had Yamashita on the ropes after hitting a release Cutie Special. Another Cutie Special this time with the bridge held got Mizuki the win and MagiRabi’s first successful defence in their latest reign.

When the beaten challengers were leaving the ring, Mizuki called for Yamashita to come back. She said she was able to win today with Sakazaki’s help. She also brought up that it’s been a year since she she decided to join TJPW full time. She loves TJPW and wants to carry the company on her back for the sake of everyone who supports her. So although she hates fighting against Yamashita, she wants to challenge her for the Princess Of Princess Title! How could Yamashita refuse? She accepted the challenge and wants the match to happen on the 4th January Korakuen show! Mizuki was warned that the title is not easy to win because Yamashita will never let go of the belt. Sakazaki encouraged Mizuki to commit to the challenge because she is amazing. Later in the night Itoh made a request to Yamashita to put 121000000 on hold for the time being. The team is not splitting up, they are just on a break so Itoh can review her wrestling ability on her own. They will team again when she is ready.

Hikari Noa has broken out of the Up Up Girls hierarchy with her latest International Princess Title defence. She has now beaten both of her Up Up partners as champion and also now has the record for most IP Title defences! Miu Watanabe threw all her best moves including using the Laserbeam to block a Dropkick. Noa had to use the Blizzard Suplex off the top rope to cause the big shift in the match before pinning Watanabe with the regular Blizzard Suplex. One of Watanabe’s favorite idols once said hard work always pays off. The lesson Watanabe learned today is training hard is not the same as working hard. Noa called the match the toughest battle she ever had. The longer she holds onto the belt the more she doesn’t want to let it go. It puts more pressure on her but she isn’t afraid of anything anymore. Which is why she wants TJPW to have a championship that will allow her to have deathmatches! She’s annoyed that Hyper Misao gets to have a Hardcore Match in DDT next month instead of her but she at least appreciates the roster is becoming more open to doing that style.

The rookie Yuki Arai has made it her goal to wrestle against her seniors and do her best against them. That was proven today with her match against Rika Tatsumi. The veteran had the smart gameplan to work over Arai’s leg, forcing the idol to get desperate and risk fighting at a faster pace. But Arai put Tatsumi is danger with a deep Sleeper Hold she wouldn’t let go of until Tatsumi reached the ropes. Targeting the leg then paid off for Tatsumi when she dodged the Finally, took Arai down with a Dragon Screw and made her tap out to the Figure 4 Leg Lock. Tatsumi said by winning through determination she could feel both her own passion and also Arai’s spirit in the ring. She previously talked about being a spark that will cause a big bang and will leave it up to the fans to think if they saw it today. Arai feels a sense of accomplishment despite losing. It was a great experience and one she thinks might change her life. Tatsumi wants to fight her again when she is stronger. She thinks she will still beat her then, of course.

Last week Nodoka Tenma pinned Shoko Nakajima in the 10-Woman Tag match. She wasn’t able to repeat the result here. The closest she came was with a Lift-Up Back Flip but she couldn’t hit the Killswitch when she needed to. Nakajima recovered, hit the Double Arm DDT and won with the Diving Senton.

There was change in roles for Match #3. Yuki Kamifuku hates it whenever Hyper Misao makes new rules for her matches, so she came up with a new match of her own to give her a taste of her own medicine. The Happy Lucky Quiz had Kamifuku and Misao answering trivia questions. The first to get three correct would win. All of the questions were about Kamifuku and her family so the quiz turned out to be heavily rigged in her favour. When Misao started complaining, Kamifuku attacked her and a proper match broke out. Well I say proper but it ended up with both women spraying each other in the face with disinfectant. There was a scramble for pins and Kamifuku got the three count in the end with a Crucifix style cradle.

A rare result happened early in the show. Haruna Neko directly won a match! Maybe she’s finally figuring out how to put it all together. Yuki Aino, Nao Kakuta, Raku and Mahiro Kiryu did their things while Neko fought off Pom Harajuku. Neko rolled her way into hitting the Nekodebreaker to get the three count.

The Run-Up Bulldog Headlock is quickly becoming an effective finisher for Marika Kobashi. She was in trouble going against Suzume & Arisu Endo’s teamwork but Moka Miyamoto stood up to keep the match level. Suzume got rid of Miyamoto with a Facecrusher but Endo could not seal the deal on her own. That was when Kobashi pulled out the Bulldog for the victory.

3. Hyper Misao defeated Arisu Endo with the Hypami Returns (8:02).
4. Yuki Kamifuku & Raku defeated Suzume & Haruna Neko when Kamifuku pinned Neko with the Famouser (9:36).
5. Miyu Yamashita, Maki Itoh, Nodoka Tenma, Miu Watanabe & Yuki Arai defeated Yuka Sakazaki, Mizuki, Hikari Noa, Shoko Nakajima & Rika Tatsumi when Tenma pinned Nakajima with the Killswitch (26:51).

Several of the big matches for next week’s Korakuen Hall show crossed together in the 10-Woman Tag Match. After a long fight mixing together the different pairings, Shoko Nakajima made the crucial mistake of missing the Diving Senton. That allowed Nodoka Tenma to pin her with the Killswitch. After the match Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh both spoke of their intentions to win the Princess Tag Team Titles from The Magical Sugar Rabbits. Yamashita said she was only focused on fighting Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki today. Miu Watanabe vowed to beat Hikari Noa for the International Princess Title. Tenma & Yuki Arai also laid down their claims to beat Nakajima & Rika Tatsumi in their respective singles matches at Korakuen.

We finally got an admission of guilt from Hyper Misao. She is a superhero who cheats! She promised to fight Arisu Endo fair and square because she was confident she would not be outmatched against her. That lasted for about five minutes. Misao lost ground to Endo and pulled out her spray can but Endo grabbed it and sprayed her instead. However Misao was still able to recover and win in the end.

Pom Harajuku spent most of the 3 Way Match carrying an expensive high grade camera. She insisted taking pictures of Marika Kobashi and Mahiro Kiryu as if it was just those two against each other. Kobashi was happy to pose for her while Kiryu was confused. Harajuku tried her best to protect the camera but doing so cost her the match with Kobashi getting the win over her.

6. D-Ou Grand Prix 2021 II – A Block: Tetsuya Endo (6) Vs Yuki Ueno (4)

The last day of the group stages is coming down to the wire in both blocks. If Tetsuya Endo wins the main event or it ends in a draw then he qualifies for the final. I think if Yuki Ueno wins he will go straight to the final because he will get the Head To Head tiebreakers over Endo and Yuji Hino. Where it gets confusing is if Jun Akiyama or Bodyguard also wins and we end up with a four way tie. I guess it would still be Ueno because he will have two Head To Head wins in this bubble and the others will just have one. Does that come into effect with Bodyguard thought because he already beat Ueno? Oh my head hurts.

The B Block is more simpler. The race is between Konosuke Takeshita and Yuji Okabayashi who are both unbeaten. If they still end up with the same points after their matches then a sudden death tiebreaker must take place. Their previous match was a draw so there is no other way to determine who goes through (I think there was a G1 that used total match times as a tiebreaker one year but we’re getting too far into the weeds at this point).

Kenta Kobashi and Tetsu Inada will be at the show. Maybe they can figure out the tiebreakers.

Bet Yokosuka is thrilled, we all know about his dancing efforts. This will be his first time in DDT proper if you ignore the Dramatic Dream Gate shows from 2007 and 2008.
