6. Special Single Match: KANON defeated To-y with the GURU-GURU Driver (15:49).

There were Chops and Slaps a-flying between KANON and To-y in the main event. To-y went high risk too with a dive over the corner of the ring onto KANON outside. KANON used Lariats to turn the tables on his opponent and soon won the match using the GURU-GURU Driver. With To-y now beaten, KANON then called out Yuki Ueno to get into the ring. Ueno told him he’s strong but the KO-D Openweight Title needs to be carried by someone who can lead DDT towards everyone’s dreams. KANON admitted he isn’t strong mentally but he will win the KO-D Title and prove his worth as a wrestler. He then told the Osaka fans he is about to take on the biggest challenge of his life and when he returns here he will be standing on top of the DDT mountain!

The Toyonaka Tag of Sanshiro Takagi & Rukiya were victorious in their match today. Rukiya is so proud of where he comes from that he declared he will become the next tourism ambassador of Toyonaka City! Takagi wants to be part of it too and share the roll with him because there has never been a tag team that became tourism ambassadors before. Takagi later claimed that he has already contacted city officials to put the plan into motion.

When the Handicap Match ended too quickly, everyone agreed to restart it. This time the match used elimination rules that included knocking your opponents out of the ring to eliminate them.

During the week Kaya Toribami told Tokyo Joshi Pro she was going on a trip to Iga City on short notice and would record a vlog of her visit to the area. There she met Genichi Mitsuhashi, the first person to ever get a PhD for Ninja Studies in Mie University. She then spent the day training with him in his dojo. After learning some new techniques she was encouraged to visit a nearby Bishamonten shrine. When she walked inside the grounds she found a Oni mask and suddenly began to convulse after she picked it up. The footage ended there but allegedly Mitsuhashi found Toribami and sent her back to Tokyo. A short time later TJPW received a video from Mitsuhashi of Toribami falling into a trance after the convulsions and then unmasking herself before walking behind one of the shrines, leaving her mask behind…

Sanshiro Takagi will be at the show to reveal the new idol he scouted for a match at Sumo Hall.

Training is going very well for Minimo-chan at the moment. So much so that the mascot is nailing down the details for its pro wrestling debut. Minimo has perfected its finishing move called the Drink Some Delicious Milk Pyon! Kick before moving onto weight training. Now Minimo has decided on its wrestler name. When Minimo-chan gets into the ring the mascot will become Minimo!

More PR instructions have been sent out by Super Sasadango Machine, this time it is one for Mizuki. Since her deadly Pico Pico Hammer has been stolen, she must go in search for a new legendary weapon to use against Andreza Giant Panda.

Over the weekend Yuni injured his left elbow and he has since been diagnosed with a joint contusion that needs two weeks of rest in order to recover. A new unit is developing among the D GENERATIONS wrestlers. Takeshi Masada & Yuya Koroku decided to create a new stable focused on their age group and Daichi Sato agreed to join them. They don’t have a name at the moment so are temporarily being referred to as the New Generation Army. Since they already consist of three people they are going to fight for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles as their first big challenge. Kaisei Takechi is itching to wrestle again sooner than scheduled so he along with Yuki Ueno & To-y are ready to defend their titles next week.

We’re approaching that time of year when DDT holds sponsored matches with the Yamada Suisan seafood company. That means the return of the masked seafood themed wrestlers Shishamo Power and Unagi Mask. The match also sees Yuki Iino return to action after he’s been away training for his American Football team.

A bonus dark match is being provided by Tokyo Joshi Pro. At the time of writing Rika Tatsumi is still the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion. Could the belt be going back home to DDT? Not if she has any say in it. Her goal as the champion is to bring the title all the way to TJPW’s Sumo Hall show at the end of the month.

To-y is gradually approaching the record for most Extreme Title defences in a single reign but Okatani is accusing him of padding out wins by only fighting old washed up wrestlers. To-y argues against that because some of his challengers so far have been from their own generation too.

Apparently TJPW went and did it. They struck a deal to have something Super Sentai related to show up at Sumo Hall and be involved with the ToJo Tokusatsu Club’s match. At least I think that is what’s happening. I’m confused because I thought the TV show just ended recently to be replaced with a similar substitute for reasons that involve the studio moving on from a copyright deadlock. I guess we’ll find out at Sumo Hall what the Super Sentai collaboration will look like. Maybe the Tokusatsu Club gets to morph into their own Super Sentai outfits before they go out and fight Pompaler & Aja Kong. Actually they should go full Kaiju Big Battel and have the ring filled with small cardboard buildings for everyone to smash and slam each other on.

The Tokusatsu Club recently completed their “fireball return” training but since fire was absolutely prohibited, they ended up doing batting practice with Tetsu Inada instead. There are updates for some of the other Super Sasadango Machine PR tasks to catch up on. The roster has spent the last few days putting up posters for the show around Tokyo. Minimo-chan has taken up weight training for its debut match. Shino Suzuki is finding more and more influencers to challenge for games of Rock Paper Scissors but has only beaten one opponent so far. She has to keep doing this until she beats two more.

Sasadango has also come up with more challenges for the wrestlers who haven’t been given any tasks yet. He has asked Shion Kanzaki to hold a street performance in the heart of Shinjuku. Meanwhile Miyu Yamashita was told to take on intensive idol training.

A few weeks ago Shigehiro Irie & Mizuki Watase fought Naoki Tanizaki & Kohei Kinoshita on a KOBE Meriken Pro show. Kinoshita pulled off an upset by pinning Watase and made the argument afterwards to get a shot at the Spirit Of Ganbare World Tag Team Titles. That led to the rematch today in Ganbare☆Pro where the champions got their revenge with a successful title defence. Ken Ohka then challenged Irie & Watase for the titles on 17th November. His partner is going to be Shuji Ishikawa just like how it was meant to be back in August before that month’s show was cancelled because of a typhoon. However Ohka admitted he doesn’t know yet if Ishikawa is actually available for the new date. He’s confident Ishikawa will be there.

Keisuke Ishii has now tied the record for most successful Spirit Of Ganbare World Title defences after he beat Hartley Jackson.

It was announced yesterday that Runa Okubo will be taking an indefinite hiatus from pro wrestling at the end of the month to focus on her education. She is currently in high school and told Tokyo Joshi Pro she’s been having difficulties with balancing pro wrestling with her studies so a decision was made by the company and her guardians to put her wrestling career on hold for the time being. Okubo’s final match for now will be against Yuki Kamifuku. Her opponent is not going to take it easy on her though. Kamifuku said she is going to pluck out Okubo’s eyes and sell them off like jewelry!

Over the weekend BASARA announced that Daiki Shimomura’s one year suspension had come to an end and he will be returning to wrestling at the end of this month. Shimomura was suspended from all BASARA related activities last October over an incident that was only reported as inappropriate behavior from his private life. To this day I still haven’t heard anything to even suggest what the incident was. But it was enough that BASARA had to make a public apology afterward while Shimomura had to disappear from wrestling for a year. His return match has him in the ring with the other members of Sento Minzoku.

All of the Right To Challenge Shields have been used up so now its back to traditional ways to get title matches. Chris Brookes challenged Shinya Aoki for the KO-D Openweight Title to see which one of them loves DDT more.

The feud between SCHADENFREUDE International and DAMNATION T.A continues with Takeshi Masada and Ilusion facing each other one on one. Ilusion wants to destroy Masada’s pretty face!

An all mascot showdown is taking place thanks to Pokotan and Touchi-kun. Originally Pokotan wanted to fight the Japan Self-Defence Force mascot but changed his tune after watching Touchi-kun’s training for the match. Now Pokotan wants to team up with Touchi-kun to take on another tag team. DDT held a press conference today annnouncing that the other team will also be made up of mascots. Oshinari-kun is the mascot for the Oshinari Shopping District and Higapyon is the mascot of Tokyo Higashi Shinkin Bank, the business that owns the naming rights for the venue. Shinichiro Kawamatsu brought the two mascots to a shrine for the announcement but didn’t expect Pokotan to show up and attack Oshinari-kun with a steel basin! However he held back from attacking Higapyon because he thinks that mascot is cute.

Tickets for the show are free so there are a lot of sponsorships up and down the card to fund the event.

… she’s also returning to Tokyo Joshi Pro for another tour of Japan in November! She eliminated Miu Watanabe from the Tokyo Princess Cup during the summer so it’s been decided she will get a Princess Of Princess Title shot during this tour. It will also be the first time in five years when the title will be defended in Osaka. The last time that happened was Shoko Nakajima defending the belt against Mizuki back in September 2019.

The show will feature a rare Kota Umeda sighting! Just as rare is the O-40 Title being defended. Azul Dragon won the belt back in April and has defended it just once since then. I’ll have to go look where that defence happened because it wasn’t in DDT.

2. Special Single Match: Kazuki Hirata defeated Danshoku Dieno with the Miracle One Shot Cradle (10:42).
3. Special Single Match: Yoshitatsu defeated Takeshi Masada with the This Is WWE (8:47).
4. Jun Akiyama, Toru Owashi & Yukio Sakaguchi defeated Mizuki Watase, Yusuke Okada & Ilusion when Sakaguchi pinned Ilusion with the God’s Right Knee (10:46).
5. Special Single Match: Hideki Okatani defeated Akito with the Quetzalcoatl (9:54).
6. Special Tag Match: Sanshiro Takagi & Rukiya defeated HARASHIMA & Kazuma Sumi when Rukiya pinned Sumi with the Proto Bomb (9:56).

There were a bunch of giant truck tyres in the venue today so of course the wrestlers in the main event wanted to use them as weapons. There was a reason Yukio Naya went along with this. He remembers yesterday when Yuki Ueno said the KO-D Openweight Title does not belong to the strongest but to the most fun and interesting. Well today Naya ended up winning the match by using Ueno’s own fun pro wrestling against him. Ueno flat out disagreed and told Naya he did not understand his point. He should stick to what he wants to do if he wants to become the KO-D Champion.

So far Yuki Iino joining BURNING is working out for both parties. DAMNATION T.A attacked them with chairs early in the match but once it calmed down into a more regular tag match, BURNING won out in the end. Tetsuya Endo said he is glad Iino has joined his group and if this feud between the units is what Daisuke Sasaki wants, they should fight each other more. KANON went crazy over losing the match and swore to get revenge on Iino for beating him.

The Toyonaka Tag Team of Sanshiro Takagi & Rukiya made the most of their home field advantage. Takagi used the Sling Blade on Kazuma Sumi and set the table for Rukiya to get his first pro wrestling victory. Rukiya used the Proto Bomb twice on Sumi to get the win. He said it took him nine months after debuting to finally win a match and he is happy it happened in his hometown.

Toy Kojima got injured yesterday and could not compete today. Akito replaced him for the match against Hideki Okatani. Also Mizuki Watase from Ganbare☆Pro came in to take Akito’s spot in the 6-Man Tag Match.
