6. First Encounter! The Monster Man Of The Indies Vs Tokyo Sports 2006 Buzz Award! Special Single Match: Mecha Mummy defeated Survival Tobita with the Mach Drill (9:38).
7. MEN’S Teioh, HARASHIMA & Shota defeated Eririn Takagi, Monster Halloween & ONAKIN when Teioh submitted ONAKIN with a Cross Facelock (13:15).
8. Pero Pero Master defeated Tiger Mask V (Self-Proclaimed) with the Ultimate Pero Pero Driver (13:26).

Oh, Pero Pero Master is the name of Antonio Honda’s Hulk Hogan parody. He was victorious over Tiger Mask V (Self-Proclaimed) in the main event. Tiger Mask was as graceful as a tiger flying a blimp and was left stunned when he pulled down Pero Pero’s tights and saw he was wearing a thong with an elephant’s head on the front. Pero Pero hit the Ultimate Pero Pero Driver which is a no hands Pedigree for the win. After the match Tiger Mask had his own tights pulled down to reveal he too wears an elephant thong.

Eririn Takagi, Monster Halloween & ONAKIN did well against the veteran team of MEN’S Teioh, HARASHIMA & Shota but it all fell apart in the end. Takagi and Halloween got at each other’s throats while ONAKIN was left alone helpless against Teioh. ONAKIN was given a Back Drop and was trapped in a Cross Facelock to end the match.

For the first time in years the mythical Mecha Mummy came back to this mortal realm for a first time encounter against the man among monsters, Survival Tobita. Mummy was now armed with duel Mach Drills and hadn’t aged a day since his last match… because it’s a robot. Mummy drilled Tobita into submission and the damage was so bad, Tobita had to be stretchered out of the ring. However he still had the strength to spean into the microphone and swear revenge on Mecha Mummy!

The Battle Royal involved 100 flashlights attached to the ropes the same way lighttubes would be for deathmatches. The stipulation was so dangerous that the ring out rule was changed for everyone’s safety. Wrestlers would now get eliminated when they get thrown out over the middle rope as well as the top rope. Also before the match began it was announced that the two invisible wrestlers scheduled to enter the match both died in an unexpected accident so they would not be competing today. The 10 bell salute for them was given while the flashlights were being attached to the ropes. Among the highlights were Paul Ishida using voodoo to eliminate Sanshiro Takagi, Kim Yotchan turning into Kim Yotchan V3 by covering his face in cream, Gundan Hitori & Hen China stretching rubber bands and snapping them into Ishida, Takagi reappearing wearing a skirt made of flashlights, Hitori using the dreaded cola and Mentos combination to eliminate China and the remaining wrestlers all getting eliminated when they left the ring to rave with the fans, leaving a chair all alone in the ring. The chair was declared the winner.

Yumehito Imanari & Mikiya Sasaki entered the ring dressed like the Funk Brothers and used some of their moves to beat Fumihito Kihara & Kentochu Miyahara. Miyahara did a good Kento Miyahara parody but pointed out his one flaw. He carried a replica IWGP Title belt to the ring instead of a Triple Crown belt. He wanted to make a replica Triple Crown but admits it was easier to just buy the IWGP replica and pretend it’s the other one.

Match #2 was actually the third match on the card because Mizuhime Saijo was delayed travelling to the show. She left her phone behind in a taxi and had to go collect it. Hyper Misao pointed out that the distance from Shin-Kiba station to Shin-Kiba 1st RING is only a three minute walk so Saijo didn’t even need to take the taxi in the first place. Saijo used her water gun on Misao, Daisuke Kiso, Yuki Ueno and Yuki Iino. Apparently the water gun is harmless only to those with a beautiful heart. Kiso, Ueno and Iino were all knocked out by it. Misao claimed her heart is beautiful so she willingly got shot and collapsed afterwards. Saijo had Misao pinned but Kiso was unconscious. When he recovered, Misao rolled up Saijo with a School Boy and placed her feet on the ropes for leverage to get the three count.

El Uranai played mind games with Cherry by telling her stuff about life being short and she still isn’t married yet. It worked at first until Uranai made Cherry grab his crotch. Cherry snapped out of it when she realised how “small” Uranai is. She went on the counterattack and pinned the masked man with the Spring Night Love. Cherry not only won the match but now gained the confidence to still be living by herself.

Movie Star used a rubber swimming ring to trap his opponents by the leg and cover them with body blow punches. Everybody else in the match seemed kind of normal by comparison.

The man in charge of today MEN’S Teioh thanked everyone for coming to see the shitshow. The reason these kind of wrestling shows take place is because you can find diamonds in the rough here. “ALL DOIN” was all about bringing together the best of these diamonds to do things that can only be possible in pro wrestling. Teioh then ended the show with a battle cry. “1, 2, 3…4!”

Sanshiro Takagi thinks he may have something in his hands with ALL DOIN as a brand. He thinks the indie scene has been a bit quiet lately with a lot of doubt and cynicism whenever he talks to people about it. He remembers when FMW was considered a super indie. While ALL DOIN is obviously a very different beast, today’s show makes him wonder if something similar can be done on a regular basis today.

5. Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title: Keisuke Ishii (c) defeated HARUKAZE with a Knee Drop (12:32).
*V4 for Keisuke Ishii.
6. Ganbare☆Climax 2018 – Final: Yumehito Imanari defeated Shinichiro Tominaga with the Chubby Knee (19:08).

Change is afoot in Ganbare☆Wrestling. The Imanari Revolution has succeeded in its goal in making Yumehito Imanari a main eventer but there were plenty of other stories on this show that mark a new landscape for the brand. Imanari’s hard fought victories over Shota and Shinichiro Tominaga resulted in him winning the second ever Ganbare☆Climax. To celebrate his achievement, Imanari said Ganpro will return to the location of its very first show, the Nanhai Ichigaya Memorial Clinic on 13th September.

Imanari’s victory speech was interrupted by an unexpected figure. Kouki Iwasaki entered the ring. He said there is a lot he wants to do in Ganpro like the match with Shuichiro Katsumura he was supposed to have on New Year’s Eve. Imanari thanked Iwasaki for coming and is happy to have him on board with Ganpro. Imanari then invited Sanshiro Takagi to enter the ring for a favour. He told him he wants Ganpro to run Korakuen Hall again and he found out that DDT has the venue booked for 16th December. Takagi wanted to know who leaked him that information but Imanari said Takagi left the schedule visible on his desk at DDT HQ. Imanari invited everyone to tweet non-stop at Takagi to give over the date but he immediately gave it up.

You may have noticed something isn’t right about what was written so far. How come Imanari gets to make the decisions now instead of Ganpro’s founder Ken Ohka? Well that’s because Ohka has walked out! He was beaten again today this time by Mitsuo Momota in a tag match. Afterwards Ohka grabbed his suitcase and left the building yelling “I don’t know” and “I am in trouble” at nearby reporters.

HARUKAZE put up a good effort against Keisuke Ishii by targeting his arm with Cross Armbreakers. But she fell to a Lariat and a Middle Kick both to the back of the head followed by a Knee Drop.

It looks like Survival Tobita isn’t up to scratch when he wrestles a regular match. He quickly ran out of steam and was easily put away by Tominaga in the Ganbare☆Climax semi-final.

4. Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title Next Challenger Battle Royal: HARUKAZE defeated Hagane by Ring Out (11:23).
Order Of Elimination: Ryan Davidson, Moeka Haruhi, Chikara, Shuichiro Katsumura, Takeshi Okada and Hagane.
5. Ganbare☆Climax 2018 – Round 1 – No DQ & No Ropes Match: Survival Tobita defeated Ken Ohka with the Piledriver onto a Chair (13:10).
6. Ganbare☆Climax 2018 – Round 1 – No DQ & No Ropes Match: Yumehito Imanari defeated Shin Mokujin Ken by Knockout with a Diving Elbow from the balcony (8:10).

The 2018 Ganbare☆Climax kicked off in violent fashion with the top two matches of the 1st Round. It was agreed that the main event and semi-main event would take place under Saitama Wrestling rules which meant no DQs, no countouts and no ropes attached to the ring. Yumehito Imanari knew that he had to go the extra mile to beat the stiff wooden monster known as Shin Mokujin Ken so he dressed Commando style for the match. He hid underneath a box so he could ambush Ken during its entrance but Ken was ready for him. Next, Imanari took out a machine gun and fired at Ken but the creature was not effected by the bullets. They brawled outside over to the balcony and Imanari knocked Ken into the wall with the Chubby Knee strike. Ken fell on top of a pile of boxes and couldn’t get up. Imanari then finished it off by finding his way up to the balcony and jumping off to hit a Diving Elbow Drop! Imanari was able to get up but Ken couldn’t answer the referee so Imanari was declared the winner by Knockout! When the match was over Imanari said for the last month he hated Ken. But today he felt a fresh sensation when they fought each other. Imanari now realises Ken isn’t a monster, he’s more like a forest fairy! Imanari broke down into tears and apologised for shooting Ken with a machine gun. He admits that was unnecessary. The world needs to be more peaceful and to do that Imanari will wrestle his enemies instead of shooting guns at them. Ken accepted his apology and the two gave each other a fist bump.

The other No Ropes, No DQ Match did not have as happy of an ending. Last year’s Ganbare☆Climax winner Ken Ohka was eliminated by Survival Tobita! Ohka was busted open early during an outside brawl and Tobita made it worse with more weapon attacks including a sawblade and a plunger. Ohka fought back with his own weapons which were all ordinary items found inside a suitcase. He got a nearfall with the Fire Spear outside the ring. The match went back into the ring and Ohka tried to finish off Tobita with a Piledriver. But Tobita countered it with a Back Body Drop onto chairs and the suitcase. Tobita hit a Piledriver of his own onto the chairs and that got him the win. Both men were on the mat by the end but Tobita still had enough in him to speak. He questioned if Ohka did his best today. Tobita gives his best because he knows as a 50 year old man that it will all be taken away from him someday. If Ohka is just going to tread water he may as well go smoke cigarettes instead of wrestle. Tobita told Ohka to ask himself again what is Ganbare☆Wrestling? Ohka still has more to do to answer that.

In the remaining 1st Round matches Shota beat a grumpy Mitsuo Momota by holding onto his tights during a School Boy. Shinichiro Tominaga eliminated Yuu Yamagata from the tournament by kissing her for a distraction then rolling her up with a Small Package for the three count. The semi-finals tomorrow will be Shota Vs Imanari and Tobita Vs Tominaga.

Besides the Ganbare☆Climax opening round, the rest of the show was all about the Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title. The day kicked off with Keisuke Ishii successfully defending the belt against Ayumu Honda. Later in the show HARUKAZE won a Battle Royal to get the next title shot tomorrow. The match included a last minute entry from Texas wrestler Ryan Davidson. He looked to be a threat early so the rest of the field all joined forces to eliminate him. Ishii congratulated HARUKAZE for winning the match and told her it was great to see a woman getting a title match. He then called for his next challenger to come into the ring. HARUKAZE told Ishii that she is the next challenger. Ishii was a little annoyed by the idea but he agreed to the match. He won’t lose to a chick show! HARUKAZE got fired up and told Ishii she will beat him to become the new champion tomorrow!

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “BRAND NEW WRESTLING 2 ~NOW IT’S TIME TO ATTACK~”, 25/08/2018
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Special Single Match: Shoko Nakajima Vs Riho
2. TOKYO Princess Of Princess Title: Miyu Yamashita (c) Vs Yuu

Nodoka-oneesan gave a surprising announcement that she is graduating from her current gimmick and will come to this show with new name, a new costume and new entrance music. Nodoka feels that after reaching the semi-finals of the Tokyo Princess Cup, she needs to move on from her current gimmick to make the next step. She isn’t entirely sure what she is going to become because she has always been the “Older Sister” character from her debut.

Shoko Nakajima wanted a singles match with Riho to celebrate the 5th anniversary of her debut. Her wish has come true. They previously wrestled each other in a TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles match at the January Korakuen Hall Show earlier this year. Riho is happy to be back in Tokyo Joshi Pro because there are a variety of different women wrestlers here. Her match with Nakajima will be a lot different than the match she had with Maki Ito back in May for example.

5. This Is Ganbare☆Wrestling! ~Charisma Vs Revolutionary~: Ken Ohka Vs Yumehito Imanari ended in a No Contest when Survival Tobita and Shin Mokujin Ken interfered. (13:30).
5a. Emergency Special Match: Ken Ohka & Yumehito Imanari defeated Survival Tobita & Shin Mokujin Ken by Disqualification when Ken attacked the referee (2:33).

The battle for Ganbare☆Wrestling went in a bizarre direction when the main event was interrupted by Survival Tobita and a new version of one of his most infamous monster wrestlers Shin Mokujin Ken (I think the original was killed by Mecha Mummy in Chikara Pro)! Tobita gave Ken Ohka a Piledriver while Ken attacked Yumehito Imanari. Ohka immediately changed the main event into a tag team match but that was thrown out when Ken attacked the referee. Tobita told Ohka he wasn’t working hard enough. Tobita is crazier than Ohka is and to prove it he captured Mokujin Ken and brought him to Ganpro to cause some chaos! Ohka called for a truce with Imanari so they can fight back together. They decided that Ohka will face Tobita and Imanari will fight Ken in the first round of the Ganbare☆Climax on 11th August! Imanari said that the Imanari Revolution is no joke. His dream is to lead Ganpro back to Korakuen Hall!

Ayumu Honda used the referee as a shield to block Chikara and leave him open for the Cross Armbreaker. After the match Keisuke Ishii announced he will defend the Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title against Honda on 11th August. Honda wanted to change the date because he is already booked for a K-DOJO show in Chiba that day. Ishii convinced Honda to take the match because the Ganpro show in Narimasu takes place early in the afternoon while the K-DOJO show will be at night.

Shuichiro Katsumura & Facade are both ninjas so they made a good team today. They both did ninja poses to celebrate their win.

HARUKAZE wanted a rematch with Moeka Haruhi on 11th August but there is not enough room on the card to make it happen. Ohka instead offered to enter both HARUKAZE and Haruhi into the Battle Royal to determine who faces the Independent World Jr. Champion the next day. Both accepted.

The Uguisudani Crossface used by Shinichiro Tominaga is also known as the Buffalo Sleeper.

The eight participants for the 2018 Ganbare☆Climax are Ken Ohka, Yumehito Imanari, Shinichiro Tominaga, Shota, Survival Tobita, Shin Makujin Ken, Mitsuo Momota and Yuu Yamagata.

It’s time to find out who goes into Sumo Hall as the KO-D Openweight Champion. Shigehiro Irie and Yuji Okabayashi both debuted in 2008 and were looked upon to fill up the strong heavyweight roles that were missing from the independent scene. Okabayashi was quicker than Irie to taste success, winning tag team championships with Daisuke Sekimoto in both All Japan and their home Big Japan. It was only just recently that Irie has become the dominant force DDT wanted him to be, holding the record of most KO-D Title defences in a single reign.

1. Kotaro Nasu defeated Fumihito Kihara with a Facelock (3:02).
2. Tanomusaku Toba defeated Yumehito Imanari by Knockout with a Straight Right (5:50).
3. Osamu Namiguchi & Kazuhiko Ogasawara defeated Shinichiro Tominaga & Tomohiro Otani when Namiguchi pinned Otani with the Lanakila-N (9:30).
4. Ken Ohka defeated Ganbare Tamagawa with the Flame Spear (14:10).

Even in defeat, Ganbare Tamagawa has been inspired by Ken Ohka to become stronger. Osamu Namiguchi & Kazuhiko Ogasawara confronted the two wrestlers after their match but was then cut off by Tanomusaku Toba. Toba challenged Ogasawara to a match and offered a handshake. Ogasawara accepted both. Tamagawa however charged at Namiguchi and the two had to be pulled apart. Both Toba Vs Ogasawara and Tamagawa Vs Namiguchi will take place in Saitama on 21st July.

Suddenly, Survival Tobita made a dramatic entrance. He does not take kindly to Ganbare☆Pro coming into his territory. Ohka and Yumehito Imanari challenged Tobita to a tag team match on 21/7. Tobita accepted and said his partner will be a Phantom!

Tomohiro Otani, the failed SMASH trainee was the person with the amateur wrestling background chosen to team with Shinichiro Tominaga to take on Osamu Namiguchi & Kazuhiko Ogasawara. Unfortunately for Otani, Namiguchi was too strong for him.

Lady Steel appeared demanding to know why she wasn’t booked for the show. She wants to be the Cinderella of Ganbare☆Wrestling and will beat anyone for the title. Ken Ohka gave her a new name, Gorikiko (meaning “Herculean Strength Steel”) and announced she will face Tsukasa Fujimoto on 21/7.

Even though Yumehito Imanari was knocked out, he told Tanomusaku Toba after their match that he had fun and wanted to wrestle him one more time. He even began to cry when he asked for the rematch.

Fumihito Kihara injured his left elbow during the opener.

Shota Vs Crusher Takahashi will happen at the 21/7 event.
