2. Seiya Morohashi & Daichi Kazato Vs Ken Ohka & Tomohiro Otani
3. Hikaru Sato Vs SAGAT
4. Idea Pocket Presents: Ryu Gouma Vs Menso~re Oyaji Vs Tomoya Kawamura
5. Shuji Ishikawa, FUMA & Ladybeard Vs Hiroshi Fukuda, HIROKI & Freddy Martello
6. Union Fly To Everywhere World Title: Cherry (c) Vs Mio Shirai
7. Union MAX Title: Ivan Markov (c) Vs Isami Kodaka

Ivan Markov sent a message to Union for his upcoming Union MAX Title against Isami Kodaka. Markov calls his challenger one of the most dangerous wrestlers in Japan and he understands why he has to face him. Markov accuses the Japanese of hating the fact that a gaijin has their championship and no matter how cool Isami acts, the fact is Markov has beaten him once and he will do it again soon.

Mio Shirai was absent from Union’s last press conference because she was busy wrestling for Oz Academy. She was represented at the conference by a drawing of a fox and was mocked by Cherry. Shirai found out about the drawing and had it with her at today’s conference. She asked if a 39 year old woman drew the picture, pretended to be her and made fun of her wearing dark make up. Mio admits to wearing the make up but says it’s okay for someone as young as her to wear it, unlike Cherry. In regards to the Fly To Everywhere Title, Shirai has never heard any wrestler in any of the four promotions she works for say “I want that belt.” But when she becomes the champion everyone will then want to win it.

Ladybeard is in action for the first time in Union after revealing his true self. He sides with Union in their latest battle with the World Men’s Club. With MEN’s Teioh currently out of action, the Club has brought in HIROKI to take his place.

Another mysterious message made up of paper and magazine clippings was delivered to Union HQ. The message has something to do with the Hikaru Sato Vs SAGAT match.

Shinichiro Tominaga has been forced to pull out of the show after dislocating his left shoulder. Tomohiro Otani takes his place on the Ganbare☆Wrestling team.

The latest Idea Pocket Diva joining the show is Nami Minami.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “KAWASAKI FIRST MARCH”, 05/04/2014
Kawasaki Plaza Sol

1. Erin Debut Match: Erin Vs KANNA
2. 3 Way Match: Chikage Kiba Vs Shoko Nakajima Vs Ririko Kendo
3. Yuka Sakazaki Vs Saki Akai
4. Miyu Yamashita Vs Nonoko

Miyu Yamashita is determined to defeat Nonoko so the plump woman will not become the face of Tokyo Joshi Pro. Nonoko says she takes pro wrestling seriously and told a tearful story about doing rock climbing and swimsuit modelling to make a living. She found pro wrestling and wanted to find acceptance as a 22 year old woman. Yamashita didn’t care for her long story and called out Nonoko for lying about her age.

Yuka Sakazaki is unsure what to make of her opponent Saki Akai. She thinks Akai is 2m 80cm tall so she’s been watching Attack On Titan to learn how to beat giants. If Akai is a Titan then that means her weakness is the back of her neck. Sakazaki then asked Tetsuya Koda if she could bring a knife into the match to chop the back of Saki’s neck with but he told her no.

The trainee previously known as Korei now has a new ring name for her official debut. She will now be called Erin and her debut match will be against KANNA. The inspiration for the name comes from the song “Help Me, Erin!!” which she found on Nico Nico Douga. Obviously the song is going to be her entrance music.

Ladybeard will be one of the musical performers on the show.

Ayumi Takada has resigned from Tokyo Women’s Wrestling. She said she could not continue training to her limits while trying to live as a member of society.

Ganbare Literally Crashes Union Press Conference

UNION “MARCH OF THE UNION 2014”, 23/03/2014
Kawasaki Plaza Sol

1. Mitomi Masayuki Vs Yumehito Imanari
2. Seiya Morohashi & Daichi Kazato Vs Ken Ohka & Shinichiro Tominaga
3. Hikaru Sato Vs SAGAT
4. Union Fly To Everywhere World Title: Cherry (c) Vs Mio Shirai
5. Union MAX Title: Ivan Markov (c) Vs Isami Kodaka

The war between Union and Ganbare☆Wrestling heats up in Miyagi with two matches booked between the two promotions. Mitomi Masayuki admits he is in a complex position because his next match is personal. Masayuki went to the same university as his opponent Yumehito Imanari. Masayuki was a first year student while Imanari was a senior when they were both in the college wrestling club. Back then Imanari wrestled under the name Sakuragaoka Kinteki and Masayuki remembered how much he wanted to become a pro wrestler despite suffering many setbacks. However, Masayuki believes that Imanari is not the person he used to know thanks to Ganbare☆Wrestling. He called Ganpuro a vanity project and he will show Imanari what he lacks as a pro wrestler. Imanari’s response was the wrestling ring is just a square and he asked what will Masayuki do when he takes the fight outside of the square. If Masayuki can only wrestle inside the sqaure then Imanari will end him on the 23rd.

union-ganbare-bicycle

The press conference for the show was literally crashed by Ken Ohka, who arrived late, entered the room on a bicycle and cycled into Seiya Morohashi. Imanari then attacked Morohashi and held him in place so Ohka could cycle into him again.

cherry-notmio

There was also a discussion about the Fly To Everywhere Title match. The champion Cherry was in attendance but Mio Shirai was unable to appear due to other commitments. So she was represented by a person holding a drawing of a fox in front of their face. “Mio” praised Cherry for being strong, youthful and always shining. “She” asked how to make “her” ageing face look as youthful and Cherry said “she” needed heavy make up. Cherry also brought up the Age Contra Makeup match she and Shirai were supposed to have in May 2012. Shirai wound up getting injured before the match and had to be replaced my Emi Sakura, who beat Cherry and forced her to finally reveal her true date of birth. Cherry said “Mio” ran away from that match and she still resents her for that.

3a. Ryu Gouma defeated Seiya Morohashi when he answered a quiz question correctly (6:36).
3b. Ryu Gouma defeated Seiya Morohashi when he answered a quiz question correctly (9:59).
*Seiya Morohashi fails in V1. Ryu Gouma becomes the 4th Aipoke World Champion!
4. Hikaru Sato defeated Tomoya Kawamura with a Crab Hold (7:21).
5. Shuji Ishikawa defeated Richard Burn with a Swinging Sleeper (5:29).
6. Hardcore Match: Isami Kodaka, FUMA & SAGAT defeated Ivan Markov, Freddy Martello & Hiroshi Fukuda (w/ MEN’S Teioh) when Kodaka pinned Martello with the Zan Isamu Leg (15:44).

Union won the latest battle against World MEN’s Club, a 6-Man Tag that was fought under Hardcore rules by request of the Club. The Union team were ambushed as they made their entrance and the two sides utilised plenty of chairs to hurt each other. Isami Kodaka withstood Freddy Martello’s attacks and put him away with a Vertical Drop Brainbuster onto a fold out chair followed by the Zan Isamu Leg. After the match Kodaka told Ivan Markov that the match was hotter than the Winter Olympics going on in Sochi right now and that he wants a Union MAX Title shot next month!

Richard Burn returned to show off his fighting ability yet again, this time against the big man of Union, Shuji Ishikawa. Burn was accompanied by a man wearing glasses who acted as his cornerman, yelling instructions and motivating him with martial art stances. Ishikawa proved too strong to handle and applied a deep Sleeper Hold, going as far as to lift Burn off his feet and swing him in a circle until he submitted. Burn thanked Ishikawa for a good fight and asked for another match sometime. Ishikawa accepted.

That wasn’t the last appearance of Burn and his companion. They both reappeared at the end of the show wearing bikini tops and mini skirts with their hair in pigtails. Burn took the mic and said his real name was Ladybeard and he loves to wear women’s clothing! He appealed to join Union. Ishikawa said he could and everybody welcomed him. They are not creeped out by Burn’s sudden change because according to Kodaka, “Nothing is scary to us anymore.”

Hikaru Sato has jumped ship to Union, at least for the time being. Sato was the mysterious opponent for the rookie Tomoya Kawamura and the result was no surprise. In the post-match interview Sato explained that Union is a nice resting place for him to have a break after a good journey. He denied coming over to Union for the Aipoke World Title.

The Aipoke World Title was on the line in a Best 2 out of 3 Quiz match. Every time a wrestler pinned his opponent for one second or forced him to use a rope break, one of the Idea Pocket Divas would ask him a quiz question. First wrestler to answer two questions correctly wins the match. Seiya Morohashi easily pinned Ryu Gouma several times but was so excited he kept on giving wrong answers immediately instead of taking the time to think. Eventually Gouma was able to pin Morohashi twice and answer both questions correctly to became the new Aipoke Champion! Super Sasadango Machine appeared after the match to challenge Gouma to a title match at Korakuen Hall in May. They shook hands but Sasadango then gave Gouma the Verdict.

Union’s other war right now is with the invading Ganbare☆Wrestling led by Ken Ohka. Daichi Kazato & Mitomi Masayuki were ready to fight the Ganpuro team of Ohka & Yumehito Imanari but did not expect former Union wrestler Shinichiro Tominaga to show up with them. The match quickly turned into a brawl and had to be called off as the four wrestlers were fighting all over the arena. When things settled down, Ohka introduced the Union team to Tominaga and asked for the match to restart with Tominaga taking Imanari’s place. Everyone agreed and the bell rang. Tominaga bloodied Kazato’s mouth with punches and wiped out Masayuki with a Moonsault, leaving Ohka to put away Kazato with the Spear. Tominaga screamed out how happy he was quitting Union and how Ganpuro revived him. The trio later picked a fight with Seiya Morohashi until Naomi Susan stepped in and demanded them to leave.

Cherry and Mio Shirai weren’t able to work well as a team for Shirai’s first match as a full time Union wrestler. They were still able to win but Shirai thought she had to do it by herself. She challenged Cherry to a Fly To Everywhere Title match and declared she will change the world of women’s wrestling. Naomi Susan booked the match for Yokohama on 23rd March. Mio told Cherry to protect the belt tightly.

3. Ken Ohka & Yumehito Imanari Vs Daichi Kazato & Mitomi Masayuki
4. Cherry & Mii Shirai Vs Kaori Yoneyama & Sareee
5. Shuji Ishikawa Vs Richard Burn

A threatening letter made up of magazine clippings was sent to Union HQ from an unknown person who claims he or she will come to Union on this show. The message contained a lot of sexual phrases, so much so that Naomi Susan considered it to be sexual harassment as she read it. She wondered if the message came from Ganbare☆Wrestling or if it was Richard Burn. Isami Kodaka figured out that it had to be somebody else working on their own. They decided that the mysterious person will have to wrestle Tomoya Kawamura if he/she shows up.

After being caught off guard by the appearance of Ganbare☆Wrestling at the last show, Union now has Daichi Kazato & Mitomi Masayuki as their first line of defence for Ken Ohka & Yumehito Imanari. Kazato said they will crush the Ganpuro team and asked if they are even a major wrestling company.

The Idea Pocket Divas attending the show this time around are Mai Tamaki, Rinon Miyasaki and Harumi Tachibana.

7. KO-D Openweight Title: HARASHIMA (c) Vs Shigehiro Irie

DDT held a press conference at the TEC Offices in Shinjuku to promote HARASHIMA’s next two title defences. First up is the KO-D Openweight Title match versus Shigehiro Irie. The rematch of last year’s Peter Pan main event is something that has been on Irie’s mind for a while. He felt great frustration over losing the title and wants to get rid of that by winning it back. HARASHIMA told Irie that kind of frustration is a good thing because it encourages him to become a stronger human being.

1. DDT Extreme Title – Best 2 Out Of 3 Falls: HARASHIMA (c) Vs Keisuke Ishii
*Fall 1: Feet Only Death Match. Fall 2: Cliff Death Match. Fall 3: To Be Determined by Amon Tsurumi.

The press conference continued with the appearance of Keisuke Ishii, who immediately attacked HARASHIMA. Tempers calmed down and the two were able to continue the conference as if nothing happened. HARASHIMA decided the rules for their upcoming DDT Extreme Title match in Nagoya. After wrestling Antonio Honda in a Blindfold Bra Match where he had to rely on just his hands, HARASHIMA now wanted to see what it was like to wrestle with just his feet. So for the match, both men will have their hands tied together and will have to rely on their legs to wrestle. However, Ishii had an idea of his own. He wanted to have a Cliff Death Match where you have to do a move from the ring apron to the floor in order to win. Ishii is a big fan of apron spots. He even has a Top 3 all time favourite apron spots. His Top 3 apron spots are:

3. Akira Taue giving Kenta Kobashi the Dynamic Bomb from the apron to the floor (21st March, 1995).
2. Kenta Kobashi giving Jun Akiyama a Brainbuster from the apron to the floor (10th July, 2004).
1. Mitsuharu Misawa giving Kenta Kobashi the Tiger Suplex from the stage walk to the floor (1st March, 2003).

Amon Tsurumi decided that both rules will be used in a 2 out of 3 Falls match. Fall 1 will be HARASHIMA’s Feet Only Death Match and Fall 2 will use Ishii’s Cliff Death Match rules. The rules for a possible third fall will be created by Tsurumi the day before the show.

mioshirai-4contracts

Mio Shirai had been spending the last week teasing a very important announcement. Rumours going around the Japanese wrestling scene included Mio announcing her retirement, a marriage engagement or even a pregnancy. Instead the big reveal was Mio had signed a contract and will end to her status as a freelancer. However, it turned out that Mio was signing a contract with not one, not two, not even three but four different wrestling companies. Taking a cue from Kota Ibushi, Shirai signed contracts with Pro Wrestling WAVE, Oz Academy, Ice Ribbon and Union.

After wrestling for seven years, Mio felt it was time to form an afilliation with one of the companies she works for. However she couldn’t decide who to choose. Inspired by Ibushi’s dual contract with DDT and New Japan, Shirai was inspired to do the same and wanted to be with the promotions she enjoyed working for most. Union boss Naomi Susan said she was very surprised to hear about Mio’s idea at first but is happy that she chose Union to be one of the companies. Since the Union roster is mostly filled with men, Susan hopes Mio’s signing will begin an expansion of Joshi in Union. Mayumi Ozaki said she was the only person in Oz Academy who knew about Mio’s plans. Ice Ribbon’s Tsukasa Fujimoto is amazed at the idea and thinks it is a boost that comes just in time for Mio to replace Hikaru Shida, who will be leaving the company in March. WAVE’s Mikiko Futagami (formerly known as GAMI) is expecting more merchandise sales to come from this signing and pointed out she might be actually working for 5 or 6 companies if you include her Osaka Joshi shows.

Mio’s first show with Union under the contract will be at Yokohama on 11th February.

6. KO-D Openweight Title: HARASHIMA (c) Vs Shigehiro Irie

Shigehiro Irie gets his rematch with HARASHIMA from last year’s second Sumo Hall main event. This time Irie is the challenger and HARASHIMA is dealing with now just having two title belts instead of three.

DDT rookies Konosuke Takeshita & Tetsuya Endo achieved a remarkable result yesterday, wrestling Kota Ibushi & Kenny Omega to a 30 minute draw. Both teams were rewarded with a KO-D Tag Team Title shot but it will be in a 3 Way Match against the champions. Isami Kodaka & Yuko Miyamoto can prove their dominance of the tag team division even more by beating two teams at once.

Will we get a more traditional stipulation or will HARASHIMA or Ishii show some imagination with their match choice.

*V2 for Cherry.
8. Union MAX Title: Ivan Markov (c) defeated FUMA with the Neck Hanging Bomb (14:02).
*V1 for Ivan Markov.

World Men’s Club showed their strength over Union today with all of their members scoring victories over the Union roster. Ivan Markov took care of FUMA in the main event Union MAX Title match with a little help from his stable mates. Hiroshi Fukuda & MEN’S Teioh also scored a win over Isami Kodaka & Daichi Kazato.

If the World Men’s Club boasting of their superiority wasn’t bad enough, Union also now has a new invasion led by a former friend to deal with. Mid way through the show a banner with “Declaration of War” written on it was unveiled in the arena. All of a sudden Ken Ohka & Yumehito Imanari from Ganbare☆Wrestling appeared! Imanari said that Ganpuro saves wrestling from a rotten life. Naomi Susan didn’t want to deal with Ohka annoying her so she sent Daichi Kazato & Tomoya Kawamura after the invaders in an impromptu match. Unfortunately for them they had already wrestled while Ohka & Imanari were on fresh form despite wrestling in suits. The Ganpuro team won and struck the first blow in their invasion and continued fighting with their opponents until Mitomi Masayuki and SAGAT arrived. When the invaders finally left, Susan thanked the Union wrestlers for chasing them off and called for the show to continue.

Cherry said her Fly To Everywhere Title Match with Sareee was like wrestling a version of herself from 22 years ago. When asked what she was like 22 years ago, Cherry said she had a crew cut and participated in Judo. She hasn’t considered who her next challenger will be but wants to defend her championship more and more.

Shuji Ishikawa was challenged by Richard Burn to a match for the 11th February show in Yokohama. Shuji accepted and is interested in the Wrestling Vs Karate dynamic. Earlier in the show, Burn had his second match in Union. His martial arts background overwhelmed his opponent, this time the rookie Tomoya Kawamura. Burn knocked him out with the Afterburn in quick fashion.

SAGAT tried to get on Kyoko Kimura’s good side before their match by offering her bananas. Kimura didn’t even entertain the offer and kicked them away, making SAGAT angry. Kimura wound up beating SAGAT but offered him a banana after their match. SAGAT accepted it.

6. Union Fly To Everywhere World Title: Cherry (c) Vs Sareee
7. Union MAX Title: Ivan Markov (c) Vs FUMA

Union kicks off 2014 with a new enemy looking to take them down. Russian wrestler Ivan Markov won the brand new Union MAX Championship last month and formed World Men’s Club with MEN’S Teioh and Hiroshi Fukuda. The new unit will be in action for the first time as Fukuda & Teioh take on Isami Kodaka & Daichi Kazato. Markov also defends his new title  against FUMA.

???????????????????????????????

Isami Kodaka and Naomi Susan received a package from former Union wrestler Ken Ohka. The package contained eggs, milk, cuttlefish and a piece of paper with a crossed out eye drawn on it. There was also a message from Ohka saying he and his Ganbare☆Wrestling friends will break into Union and crash the event. Susan tore up the letter but was a little surprised with what she read. She and Kodaka also ate and drank the food that was in the package.

???????????????????????????????
