*Shuji Ishikawa fails in V2. Keisuke Ishii becomes the 20th DDT Extreme Champion!

Shin-Kiba 1st RING was filled with boos after the main event of Union’s 7th Anniversary show. The Union faithful saw their ace dethroned by the man leading the next generation of DDT wrestling. Keisuke Ishii is now the DDT Extreme Champion but it did not come easy. Ishii had to defeat Shuji Ishikawa in a Lumberjack Death Match and even then it required some help from his Drift allies. The lumberjacks were Isami Kodaka, Ken Ohka, Shigehiro Irie and Takao Soma. Irie threw his weight around outside the ring while Soma stopped a certain 3 count late into the match when Ishikawa pinned Ishii with the Splash Mountain. Ohka also got involved but he became a hindrance when he charged towards Ishii but ended up Spearing Ishikawa by accident. Ishii then had to hit Ishikawa with four consecutive Kneel Kicks before the champ was finally out for the count. Ishii received boos from the crowd and he responded by saying he did not come over from DDT to be booed. He also said he was glad to win the match and he was glad to be their champion. The crowd booed him again.

Ohka apologised to Shuji for costing him the championship. Naomi Susan commiserated Ishikawa for the loss. She also introduced Poison Sawada for his final appearance in Union. Sawada told Ishikawa that losing made himself stronger and the same will happen to Shuji. He then thanked everyone in Union for keeping the brand live and healthy.

However, disaster struck. Sawada began to shudder and gasp for air. His mind flashed back to his Legendary Viper Death Match with Mr. Gannosuke that took place almost six years ago. The poison from a snakebite he suffered during that match had finally caught up with him. With time running out, Sawada demanded his customary 10 bell retirement salute to begin immediately. When the salute was over, Sawada collapsed in the ring. Naomi checked his pulse but it was too late. Posion Sawada was dead. The rest of the roster promised to fight for Union in memory of Sawada. They also all agreed that they do not want to die. The show ended with everyone shouting a new rallying cry: “3…2…1… I do not want to die!”

Isami Kodaka Vs Shigehiro Irie was said to have been the match of the night by Extreme Party.

The highlight of the 3 Way Match was El Generico and Jun Kasai fighting each other over an umbrella Kasai stole from a fan. Kasai refused a handshake from Generico after the match.

The two sides for the Castle Siege Death Match met each other on neutral grounds (the Dropkick Bar in Shinjuku) to determine the rules for their upcoming war in detail. The only problem was Sanshiro Takagi hadn’t thought up of the rules yet. Thinking on the spot, Takagi decided that both teams will have a castle made out of 20 chairs each set up inside Korakuen Hall. Tsurumi Amon wasn’t pleased with the idea because those 40 chairs might be needed for the audience. Takagi then came up with the idea of each castle having features like a keep, a gun turret and a moat. Amon said that would be impossible because DDT does not have the money to build such features (maybe they could cut a deal with the porn studio that built a house inside Korakuen for Big Japan back in 2003). He told the two sides that if they wanted siege weaponry, they would have to pay for it themselves. Takagi searched through his pockets for money and found 1,350 yen, a movie ticket stub, some receipts and a Chinese restaurant voucher. Everyone else pitched in and eventually both sides ended up with a war chest of 30,000 yen each to spend on their arsenal.

1. Menso~re Oyaji & Shotaro Nasu defeated Daichi Kazato & Ryuichi Sekine when Nasu pinned Kazato with the PK (11:05).
2. Seiya Morohashi (w/ Rumi Kazama) defeated Hiroshi Fukuda (w/ Mame Endo) with the Crippler Crosspenis (8:45)

5. Shuji Ishikawa & Kengo Ohka defeated Shigehiro Irie & Takao Soma when Ishikawa pinned Soma with the Splash Mountain (17:48).
6. Keisuke Ishii defeated Hiro Tsumaki with the Kneel Kick (16:28).

Drift’s raid on Union saw a brave Hiro Tsumaki fall to Keisuke Ishii after a strong effort. With a winning streak building up in Union, Ishii challenged Shuji Ishikawa to a DDT Extreme Title match. Shuji himself has success in battling Drift including a victory with Kengo Ohka today over Takao Soma & Shigehiro Irie. Naomi Susan confirmed the match will happen at Union’s 7th Anniversary show in Shin-Kiba 1st RING on 23rd November.

Shigehiro Irie threw out a challenge to Isami Kodaka for 23/11. The show will also have Cherry Vs Ran Yu Yu and Hiroshi Fukuda Vs Ryuichi Sekine. El Generico and Jun Kasai are also announced to compete on the show.

There was a bit of bad blood brewing between Mio Shirai and Miyako Matsumoto during Match #4. This ties into Ice Ribbon where Shirai is the current ICEx60 Champion and Miyako has constantly been trying to get a title shot against her.

Cherry complimented Mika Iida for being youthful, fresh and cute like a younger version of herself.

Seiya Morohashi Vs Hiroshi Fukuda included a rule where sneaky low blows were allowed. Fukuda requested for this stipulation because Morohashi’s muscles were so strong and tough. The plan backfired when Morohashi applied a groin version of the Crippler Crossface to win by submission.

The feud between Ura-Shima-Kudo and Team Dream Futures has leapt to the next level after Keisuke Ishii put KUDO on the shelf with a dislocated elbow. Yasu Urano faces Ishii in what is sure to be a heated main event.

Due to KUDO’s injury, HARASHIMA will need to find another wrestler to team with him to take on Kota Ibushi & Gota Ihashi.

Sanshiro Takagi Vs Hiroshi Fukuda will now have Fukuda’s Union Non-Certified US Heavyweight Title on the line. Fukuda chose Takagi to be his opponent and Takagi responded by asking what the hell is this US Heavyweight Title, who certifies the championship and why is it being defended in DDT? Fukuda said it is the most prestigious US Title in Japan, that it is certified by Union and it will cause too much trouble to explain why DDT is hosting the title match. He then got Takagi to sign the certificate to make the title match official, even though Takagi doesn’t want the title.
