KO-D Openweight Title – Last Man Standing Match: Kenny Omega (c) Vs Michael Nakazawa

The friendship between Kenny Omega and Michael Nakazawa has turned sour over the KO-D Championship. Omega offered Nakazawa the title shot in the hopes to show the world that his buddy can be a serious wrestler. Nakazawa accepted but kept to his sleazy ways, low blowing Kenny and embarrassing him at Korakuen Hall. Then yesterday at Shin-Kiba 1st RING, Nakazawa went through a gauntlet of 7 wrestlers to prepare himself. He lost to every single one of them. Then Kenny low blowed him partly for payback but also to try and convince Nakazawa to take their title match seriously. He’ll have to because this one match show on Thursday will be fought under Last Man Standing rules. DDT will be using the rule where you have to pin your opponent for the three count before the referee can begin counting to ten.

UNION “MARCH OF THE UNION 2013”, 10/03/2013
Yokohama Radiant Hall

1. Hiroshi Fukuda & Jun Kasai Vs Nazo Fukumen A & Nazo Fukumen B

Two mysteriously masked people have invaded Union. The anonymous man and woman are both being referred to as Nazo Fukumen. They kidnapped Jun Kasai and held him hostage at the end of “GOOD FORTUNE DEMONS 2013”. Their demand was to get booked in Union. Naomi Susan apparently recognises who they are and gave in to their demands without any resistance. The Nazo Fukumen are going to face Kasai and Hiroshi Fukuda in a tag team match.

Kengo Ohka, Madoka, Kaori Yoneyama & Gabaiji-chan will also appear on the show. Yoneyama is currently busy designing the brand new championship to be introduced into Union soon. Mitomi Masayuki was supposed to make his Union debut but that has been put off after he fractured his left ankle in a car accident. He will be out of action for at least the entire month of March.

5c. Menso~re Oyaji & Iriomote Wild Cat eliminated Shuji Ishikawa & FUMA when Wild Cat pinned FUMA (11:09).
6. Kengo Ohka defeated Isami Kodaka with the Vertical Drop Brainbuster (13:53).

Kengo Ohka thanked Isami Kodaka for their match in the main event and told him he will remember it fondly. This may be Kengo’s last match in Union for a while and he might go back to wrestling as Kengo Mashimo the next time he wrestles here.

Seiya Morohashi has been nominated to be the next challenger for the DDT Extreme Title. Negotiations have begun to make Morohashi Vs Kenny Omega for the title happen sometime in the near future.

Ken Ohka and Keisuke Ishii fought each other with a lot on the line. If Ohka won, Ishii and the rest of Drift would be forced to leave Union. But if Ishii won, Ohka and Mio Shirai would have to do the same. Shirai did not want to have to rely on Ohka for her future in Union but eventually cheered for her “pet” to win. Ohka took down Ishii with the Spear Of Fire but Ishii recovered and was just too much for Ohka to handle. The Kneel Kick ended the match but Ishii decided to throw out the stipulation. Drift’s war with Union was exhausting him and he felt there was nothing to gain if all he did was beat up Ohka over and over. So Drift announced they are withdrawing from Union after today.

Naomi Susan was relieved the stipulation was gone and that Ohka and Mio could stay. However, Ohka now believed Union was too small for a “Messiah” like him and there are plenty of big name promotions he could now work for. Mio slapped some sense into Ohka and he eventually admitted he wants to stay in Union. But his mind was made up. He and Shirai would keep his word and leave Union.

However, Ohka and Shirai would make their presence felt again at the end of the show. Two masked figures interrupted the post show speeches by kidnapping Jun Kasai and holding him hostage under the threat of stabbings with a ball-point pen. The masked man and women demanded to be booked for a match at Union’s next show in Yokohama on 10th March. Naomi Susan easily recognised who the duo was and happily accepted their demand. She actually felt relieved that Ohka and Shirai quickly found a way to get back into Union.

Kaori Yoneyama won the right to name and design Union’s new championship. She hopes to have it finished in time for Union’s next show and promises to become the first champion.

SAGAT is now signed as a full time Union wrestler. He has been a part timer for the brand for almost a year. SAGAT is from Iruma, Saitama and was born on 26th July, 1990. He is 168cm high and weighs 100kg. His signature moves are the Gore Grind, the Belly To Belly Suplex and the Sole Butt.

Union’s other new rookie Mitomi Masayuki will have his first match for the brand in Yokohama on 10/3.

The lovely Princess Makoto did not accompany Choun-Shiryu & Cao Zhang for their match against Hiroshi Fukuda & Jun Kasai. Rumour has it she (literally) jumped ship from New Beijing Pro Wrestling to another Chinese promotion called Wrestling New Dynasty.

Loser Leaves Union, Who Will Design New Championship, America Vs China

Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Hiroshi Fukuda & Jun Kasai Vs Choun-Shiryu & Cao Zhang
2. Seiya Morohashi Vs Goro Jr.
3. Cherry & Mio Shirai Vs Masako Takanashi & Kaori Yoneyama
4. 4 Way Tag Team Match: Shuji Ishikawa & FUMA Vs Shigehiro Irie & Takao Soma Vs Menso~re Oyaji & Iriomote Wild Cat Vs Daichi Kazato & SAGAT
5. Isami Kodaka Vs Kengo Ohka
6. Ken Ohka Vs Keisuke Ishii

The one thing Keisuke Ishii has learned ever since he began wrestling in Union is that Ken Ohka is weak. He has fought against strong wrestlers but this is the first match Ishii knows he is by far the stronger wrestler. Ohka criticised Ishii for taking the match lightly and explained Ishii’s DDT Extreme Title reign was so short because he was not prepared enough. Ohka threw out a stipulation to show how serious he is. If Ishii wins, Ohka will resign from Union. But if Ohka wins, Team Dream Futures will withdraw from Union and leave them alone. Ishii accepted the conditions and guaranteed his victory. Mio Shirai suprisingly gave Ohka words of encouragement and told him never to give up.

Isami Kodaka is said to be enthusiastic he is facing Kengo Ohka one on one. They have wrestled each other before in a place where Ohka is better known as Kengo Mashimo and Kodaka wants to show how much he has improved since then.

Cherry once again had another major announcement to make. Except this time, it actually was pretty important. Cherry demanded that Union should create a championship for women and as the female face of Union she should be allowed to name and design the belt. Mio Shirai stepped in and said she should name and design the belt, since she finished ahead of Cherry in the DDT48 General Election and thus became Union’s top female wrestler. All the talk about championships attracted the attention of Kaori Yoneyama and if anyone knows about championships, it’s her. Naomi Susan settled the argument by booking a tag team match between Cherry & Shirai against Yoneyama & Masako Takanashi. Whoever wins the match will be given the rights to name and design the new championship.

Hiroshi Fukuda and Jun Kasai have sent out a challenge to New Beijing Pro Wrestling’s top tag team. Fukuda and Kasai have bonded over their love of all things American, even toilets. They agreed that even though traditional Japanese toilets are bad, China has even worse toilets because they don’t even have doors in their bathrooms. So Choun-Shiryu and Cao Zhang will travel over to Japan to defend the honour of their country… and their toilets.

7. KO-D Openweight Title & DDT Extreme Title: Kenny Omega (c) Vs Isami Kodaka (c)

Both Kenny Omega and Isami Kodaka had plenty of praise to give each other when they met to promote their KO-D Openweight & DDT Extreme Double Title match. Omega has a lot of respect for Kodaka due to his spirit and technique. As the DDT Extreme Champion, Kodaka was allowed to choose the stipulation for the match. He was tempted to make it a hardcore match so both men could do whatever they wanted in the ring. He decided to leave it as a normal match so if he beats Omega, it will prove without a doubt that he deservedly won the KO-D Championship. Kenny compared the match up to something like Street Fighter X Tekken or Capcom Vs SNK. He is 99% sure he can beat Kodaka but there is a chance a lucky punch will beat him. Kodaka said he has that punch but he acquired it from dedicated training instead of relying on luck.

The Monster Army have threatened to sell the KO-D 6-Man Tag Titles if they win them and use the money to buy tanks! Antonio Honda explained that after he and his teammates win the belts, he will go wrestle in Vietnam and become famous. That will somehow increase the value of the belts to the point where they can afford tanks. Honda also warned Keisuke Ishii that at 27 years old, Ishii is at the stage of life when a person has the worst luck. Many many musicians have died at the age of 27 and Ishii could join them. Ishii pointed out that Daisuke Sasaki and Yuji Hino are also 27 years old. Ishii’s 28th birthday will be around a week after the show and he promises he will still have the title when he celebrates it.

7. DDT Extreme Title: Isami Kodaka defeated Keisuke Ishii (c) with the Zan Isamu Leg (18:25).
*Keisuke Ishii fails in V2. Isami Kodaka becomes the 21st DDT Extreme Champion!

The DDT Extreme Title is once again wrapped around the waist of Isami Kodaka. The main event of today’s Union show saw Kodama defeat the champion Keisuke Ishii in a rare traditional singles match for that belt. After Isami’s victory, Ken Ohka took the time to brag about Kodaka winning back the title, asking Ishii why he lost so easily as well as calling him a third-rate wrestler. Ohka then challenged Ishii to a match there and then but Naomi Susan decided to hold off that match until next month.

Jun Kasai defeated Hiroshi Fukuda in the Texas Tiger Rope Philadelphia Banana Death Match. However, he did not win the Union Non-Certified US Heavyweight Title. According to Fukuda’s rulebook, the Union US Title can only change hands via pinfall or submission and Kasai won the match by eating a banana from all four corners of the ring. Later on, Kasai asked Fukuda what he thinks about America. Fukuda said he wants Japan to become a territory of the United States. When asked why, Fukuda said one of the pros will be bathrooms switching over from Japanese toilets to American toilets. Kasai joked that Keiji Muto has bad knees because of Japanese toilets. He was touched by Fukuda’s answer and since he is also a lover of liberty, Kasai agreed to help out Fukuda’s plan to Americanize the world!

Hiro Tsumaki requested a rematch with Kengo Ohka after he lost to him. Today was also Hiro’s last show wrestling under that name. He wants a new name for a new year. Tsumaki’s new name will be chosen from fan suggestions.

Ryuichi Sekine wrestled the Rock ‘N’ Roll Death Match while dressed as Ricky Fuji.

Union has a new rookie signing coming soon! Mitomi Masayuki is 170cm high and weighs 81kg. He has previously wrestled as Go Shiofuki and already made a couple of appearances in DDT under that name.

Ken Ohka set up a flea market outside Shin-Kiba 1st RING before the show. He was selling more than just DDT and Union merchandise, one of the items on sale was a Sega Saturn arcade stick.

7. DDT Extreme Title: Keisuke Ishii (c) Vs Isami Kodaka

Keisuke Ishii has decided that he will defend the DDT Extreme Title against Isami Kodaka in a normal singles match. Ishii does not want the result to be decided with a cowardly attack involving weapons. He is under the impression that Kodama can only fight in Hardcore matches and does not know how to wrestle properly. Kodama thinks he can beat Ishii in any type of match. He also hopes he will win the belt and go on to fight the “Super Seiyan” Kenny Omega for the upcoming Double Title bout in DDT.

Daichi Kazato is the latest wrestler to be struck down with the flu that has been spreading around Japan the last couple of weeks. Gabaiji-chan the pro wrestling grandpa takes his place in the dark match.

Hiroshi Fukuda will now defend the Union US Title against Jun Kasai in a Texas Tiger Rope Philadelphia Banana Death Match. This is a match of his own creation inspired by Kasai’s monkey tendencies. The Philadelphia connection is from Kasai’s billed hometown while Fukuda himself claims to have grown up in North Carolina. The rules are based on the traditional Four Corner Strap Match with both men connected from the wrist with a tiger rope. However, there will be a bunch of bananas hanging on every corner. The winner will be the first one to eat a banana in every corner before his opponent.

The Union Vs Drift feud got more heated in Yokohama yesterday with Isami Kodaka pinning Keisuke Ishii only to get laid out by the DDT Extreem Champion afterwards. They’ll meet again in Osaka on 12/1 when Union and Drift fight each other in the KO-D 6 Person Tag Team Title Tournament and then two days later Kodaka finally battles Ishii for the Extreme Title with Ishii still to decide what match it will be. The feud continues down the card with the new BJW Death Match Champion, Shuji Ishikawa teaming with Ken Ohka to face Drift’s Shigehiro Irie & Takao Soma.

It is bad enough for Hiroshi Fukuda that he has to go one on one with Jun Kasai. Now he has to put the Union Non-Certified US Heavyweight Title on the line. At least things are beginning to look up for the guy when it comes to having managers. The last couple of months has seen Fukuda trying to win back Rumi Kazama’s trust while trying to handle the unwanted attention of Mame Endo. Fukuda’s profile has begun to rise and he is starting to turn him into a hot commodity in wrestling. So both Kazama and Endo have agreed to manage Fukuda together and both will accompany him for his match against Kasai.

Despite holding the KO-D Tag Team Titles only once together, Kota Ibushi and the current KO-D Openweight Champion Kenny Omega are one of the most popular tag teams to ever appear in DDT. 6. Shuji Ishikawa & Kengo Ohka Vs Isami Kodaka & El Generico ended in a Time Limit Draw (30:00).

Union’s final show of the year ended with a 30 minute draw between four of its strongest wrestlers. At the beginning of the show it was announced that Keisuke Ishii will defend the DDT Extreme Title against Isami Kodaka on 14th January. The person who comes out as champion will then go to DDT and challenge Kenny Omega for the KO-D Openweight Title on 27th January.

Shuji Ishikawa will be in Big Japan the day before to face Abdullah Kobayashi a second time for the BJW Death Match Title.

Cherry had another important announcement today. This time she will begin learning English. Mio Shirai came down and called out Cherry for wasting everyone’s time by constantly announcing new hobbies. Masako Takanashi then appeared for the first time in a long time to talk about the LPGA. Somehow this leads to Cherry & Masako Takanashi Vs Mio Shirai & Yuko Miyamoto being booked for 14th January.

Since it was Christmas, Hiroshi Fukuda was given a kiss on the cheek by both Rumi Kazama and Mame Endo. It was later announced that Fukuda will face Jun Kasai on 14/1. Fukuda hid under the ring when he found out about the match.

Ken Ohka finally scored a victory over Mio Shirai. However, it doesn’t sounds so great when you hear it was in a Reindeer Match where the first person to take off their opponent’s reindeer hat and shout “Gross!” wins. Ohka was able to do that in 15 seconds. The crowd booed the anti-climatic result and a rematch was immediately held under normal rules. This time around it was business as usual, Mio submitted Ohka with the Figure Four Neck Lock.

At the end of the show every member of the Union roster gave an end of year message. Naomi Susan thanked everyone for supporting Union. Ryu Gouma announced he wants to return to wrestling next year and he’ll do his best to be a dignified wrestling lawyer. Hiroshi Fukuda began a “USA!” chant and yelled “Love and peace! The war is over!” Rumi Kazama said she wanted to be Union’s top diva next year. Goro Jr. simply mumbled into the microphone. Ken Ohka said he was frustrated he lost so many matches but relied on the support of the Union fans. Mr. #6 said he wants to travel to the United States. Mio Shirai said she was No. 1 this year and will be the best next year. Hiro Tsumaki said he got a lot of solid training in Okinawa and now wants to win a championship. El Generico said he always wants to come back to Japan. Shuji Ishikawa said he will come back to Union with the BJW Death Match Title wrapped around his waist. Finally, Isami Kodaka finished the speech saying as the future ace of Union, he will help make the place fun, intense and spicy!
