1. Ultimate Tag League 2021: Daisuke Sasaki & Yuji Hino (3) defeated Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda (2) when Sasaki submitted Honda with the Crossover Facelock (13:54).
2. Ultimate Tag League 2021: Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi (2) defeated Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata (1) when Higuchi pinned Katsumata with the Brain Claw Slam (20:25).

Ultimate Tag League 2021 Standings

1. Daisuke Sasaki & Yuji Hino (3)
2. Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi (2)
-. Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda (2)
4. Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata (1)
5. Jun Akiyama & Makoto Oishi (0)

Eruption gets out of the starting blocks with a win, beating The 37KAMIINA. The big blow came when Kazusada Higuchi Choke Slammed Konosuke Takeshita through a table outside the ring. That left Shunma Katsumata to survive by himself until Takeshita recovered and came to the rescue. Together they hit the MADMAX on Yukio Sakaguchi but he couldn’t be pinned because he wasn’t the legal man. That mistake allowed Higuchi to smash through Takeshita and pin Katsumata with the Brain Claw Slam. Eruption made it clear that they’re going after the top spot of the Ultimate Tag League!

But for now the top spot belongs to DAMNATION after they knocked The Iyasareru down a peg. Antonio Honda tried to distract Daisuke Sasaki & Yuji Hino by telling a Gongitsune joke about the Monster Army, the unit that all three were a part of around 8 years ago. That pause allowed Chris Brookes to get some shots in and Honda went to complete the deal. It didn’t work out though because Sasaki blocked the Diving Fist Drop and rolled Honda into the Crossover Facelock to make him submit.

1. Gorgeous Matsuno Triumphant Match!: Gorgeous Matsuno, Brahman Shu & Brahman Kei defeated Yukio Collection A.T., Kazuki Hirata & Toru Owashi when Matsuno pinned Hirata with a Cradle (8:05).
2. NEO Biishiki-gun Vs Rice Ball Wrestling: Saki-nami & Martha defeated Sumire Natsu & Riho (w/ Norika Asatte) when Martha pinned Natsu with a Jacknife and Backslide Pin Combo (15:31).
3. 3 Way Match: Daisuke Kiso defeated KUDO and DJ Nira by Disqualification when Nira assaulted the referee (11:05).
4. Shuten-dōji Vs Monster Army: KUDO, Yukio Sakaguchi & Masahiro Takanashi (w/ Kota Umeda) defeated Colonel Ima, Private Honda & Superior Private Higuchi (w/ Sgt. Hino) when Sakaguchi pinned Honda with the Right Knee Of God (11:25).

Shuten-dōji were tasked with defending their show from an invasion by the revived Monster Army. In the main even Yuji Hino came out with his soldiers Hoshitango, Kazusada Higuchi & Antonio Honda. Shuten-dōji were backed up by Kota Umeda. When Shuten-dōji won the match, Masahiro Taknashi got everyone to chant Umeda’s name. Umeda said it’s been a long time since he wrestled but his foot is still recovering. He hopes to return in time for the Dramatic General Election so he can help Shuten-dōji make it to first place.

On the surface Match #3 looked like it was KUDO Vs DJ Nira. It went on as any usual match would until Nira gave the referee Daisuke Kiso the Rocket Punch. When Kiso called for the match to end in a disqualification it was revealed to be a 3 Way Match all along and Kiso was the third competitor! Kiso declared himself the winner.

Martha used her mop to pin down Sumire Natsu’s shoulders during a Backslide Pin then Saki-nami added a Jackknife to get the three count. After the match Saki told Riho see shes a little bit of beauty in her but Natsu is ugly and cheap when she wears a rice ball hat on her head. Saki suddenly felt weak and was about to collapse until Yukio Saint Laurent arrived and handed her a small bottle of incense. Saki drank from it and felt better.

Kazuki Hirata was confused by the appearance of Yukio Collection A.T. He wondered if it was Yukio Sakaguchi in disguise. Yukio in response asked if Hirata was Hirata Collection A.T. During the match Yukio attacked everyone during his model walk, especially Hirata. Gorgeous Matsuno missed the Gorgeous Superstar Elbow on Hirata so Yukio just threw him on top for the pin. Toru Owashi asked Matsuno where he went while he was deported from Japan. Matsuno said Fukushima. Owashi told him he was supposed to be banished from the entire country so he should please leave immediately. Matsuno protested and said he was supposed to be performing on tomorrow’s show but everyone grabbed him and carried him out of the building.

KUDO & Sakaguchi met NEO Biishiki-gun for the first time during the opening introductions. Neither group recognised the other. Saki-nami said Sakaguchi reminded her of her doctor but with barbaric eyes. KUDO had to stop Sakaguchi from getting angry by offering a toast. Saki said that Martha is a little girl who is too young to drink but today is a special occasion so she was allowed to join in.

5e. Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere 4: Super Sasadango Machine (15:38).
6. KO-D Openweight Title: KUDO defeated HARASHIMA (c) with the Diving Double Knee Drop (19:54).
*HARASHIMA fails in V7. KUDO becomes the 47th KO-D Openweight Champion!

DDT celebrates its 17th Anniversary with a new KO-D Openweight Champion! After seven months of dominating the main event scene, HARASHIMA was finally knocked off his throne by his former ally KUDO. The new champion gloated about how his win was the result of him leaving UraShimaKudo and he would wait for a rematch anytime. HARASHIMA and Yasu Urano glared at KUDO but both left. With the former champion out of the way, KUDO now has a whole host of new challengers ahead.

The annual free for all that is the Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Contract Battle Royal returned with six prizes on the line. A KO-D Title shot at Korakuen Hall on 29th April was the prize to the winner of the Royal Rumble portion of the match. The other portion was a Ladder Match with five contracts hanging above the ring, four of them with smiley faces and one with a skull on it. Tetsuya Endo, Masa Takanashi, Kazuki Hirata and Super Sasadango Machine each grabbed a smiley face contract, giving them a KO-D Title shot whenever they want. Guanchulo got the skull contract which turned out to be the right to challenge his favourite wrestler to a match. Akito last eliminated Konosuke Takeshita to win the Rumble match and get next month’s title shot. At the end of the show Akito told KUDO that there will be no more HARASHIMA’s challenging him because he will win the belt. The current generation on top in DDT will not last forever and he is here to be the future.

Guanchulo cashed in his contract and decided to have a match with Kikutaro. The match will take place on 29th March. The other contracts can be cashed in at any show until 2nd August. But just like last year, contracts can change hands if the holder is pinned or submitted in any match held inside Japan. Amon asked if anyone was going to cash in their contract before the April Korakuen show. Endo said he wants to cherish the contract because it’s his first time, so he will not cash it in yet. Sasadango also declined because he wants to train for his title match. Takanashi said he will not betray his “big brother” and will not challenge KUDO. Hirata was the only person who said he will cash in his contract at Korakuen next month.

Retired DDT wrestler Atsuo Sawada was a guest at the show and spoke about the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title that he originally created 14 years ago. He said it was amazing that the championship is close to crowning its 1,000th champion. The 999th champion Sanshiro Takagi knew all too well about this since he was chased by Gorgeous Matsuno and Gota Ihashi throughout the show. During his speech celebrating DDT’s 17th Anniversary, Takagi announced he was sealing the Iron Man Title. Takagi said 999 was a nice number for the title lineage to end and he was also sick of wrestlers constantly attacking him. Sawada protested because he created the title to be defended all the time and to be won by any wrestler or thing. Takagi tried to convince Sawada to accept the decision by comparing the number of title reigns to Galaxy Express 999 but eventually gave up. Amon Tsurumi then announced that the title will be defended in Kasukabe Hall on 12th April.

Despite losing all three matches in their trial series, Michael Nakazawa & Tomomitsu Matsunaga finally impressed Amon Tsurumi with their performance. Their KO-D Tag Team Title defeat to the Golden Lovers got Tsurumi to say “Michael & Matsunaga did real good!” Kota Ibushi called both wrestlers strong in the post-match interview but he and Kenny Omega also pointed out that there are no immediate challengers for them to face next.

The Monster Army had its final battle and for the occasion Antonio Honda asked the opposing team if they could drop their guard so the entire Army could do a surprise attack one more time. After the match Honda said the unit will live on in his breast. His nipple to be exact.

Keisuke Ishii has been left feeling depressed after he and Soma Takao failed to win the All Asia Tag Team Titles in All Japan last Tuesday. That match was Ishii’s second chance to win the belts and he came up short again. He considered giving up the challenge and no longer chase after the belts. Amon Tsurumi encouraged Ishii to not give up and if Ishii couldn’t win the belts with Takao then he should try again with Shigehiro Irie. He instructed Ishii to record a video of himself asking for another title match and to send the video to Jun Akiyama.

New trainees Shunma Katsumata and Shun Miyatake fought to a five minute draw in a pre-show exhibition. Afterwards Tsurumi announced that Katsumata will have his debut wrestling match on the next Korakuen show on 29th April. Miyatake asked when he was going to debut. Amon was surprised by the question and told Miyatake that he is 100 years too early to even talk about having a debut.

DDT will get a new show on Samurai! TV soon. The show is called DDT Wrestling Banzai \(^o^)/.

2. Antonio Honda & Daisuke Sasaki defeated Masa Takanashi & Akito when Honda pinned Takanashi with a School Boy (9:36).
3. Danshoku Dino & Makoto Oishi defeated Michael Nakazawa & MIKAMI? (Guanchuro) when Oishi pinned Nakazawa with the Miracle Ecstasy (8:57).

5. Keisuke Ishii defeated DJ Nira with the Spiral Fisherman Buster (10:03).
6. HARASHIMA, Yasu Urano & KUDO defeated Kota Ibushi, Kenny Omega & Gota Ihashi when HARASHIMA pinned Ihashi with the Somato (13:26).

Sanshiro Takagi has added a new move to his arsenal, an Argentine Backbreaker he calls the Seibi Killer. The move is named after Rika Seibi, who just happens to be Shigehiro Irie’s favourite gravure idol. The Seibi Killer was super effective on Irie and Takagi intends to use it again when they fight for the KO-D Openweight Title next month in Nagoya. Irie is furious that Takagi would tarnish his Seibi’s name.

Masa Takanashi & Akito appeared in the ring before their match complaining about their gear going missing backstage. They accused The Monster Army of stealing their stuff. Tsurumi Amon disagreed and said they couldn’t have stolen anything because they were rehabilitated by the TenKoji Police Force last year. Antonio Honda & Daisuke Sasaki then showed up wearing Masa’s shorts and Akito’s arm bands. The Monster Army then stole the victory when Honda placed his foot on the ropes while pinning Takanashi with a School Boy.

The role of MIKAMI was played today by Guanchuro. Everything about the portrayal was accurate from the clothing to the hand gestures.

6. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Antonio Honda, Daisuke Sasaki & Yuji Hino defeated Keisuke Ishii, Takao Soma & Shigehiro Irie (c) when Sasaki pinned Ishii with the Now Or Never (10:32).
*Team Dream Futures fail in V1. Monster Army becomes the 2nd KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions!
7. KO-D Openweight Title & DDT Extreme Title: Kenny Omega (c) defeated Isami Kodaka (c) with the One-Winged Angel (23:14).
*V1 for Kenny Omega. Isami Kodaka fails in V1. Kenny Omega becomes the 22nd DDT Extreme Champion!

Kenny Omega can now call himself a Double Champion! He now adds the DDT Extreme Title to keep his KO-D Openweight Title company. Omega has his theme music played live by the Capcom band ROCK-MEN while Isami Kodaka was accompanied by members of Union as well as MIKAMI. The One-Winged Angel was the deciding factor and Isami admitted defeat afterwards. Omega nominated HARASHIMA as his next challenger for beating him in the KO-D Tag Team Title match from a week ago. Kenny pointed out that HARASHIMA has yet to beat him in a singles match.

Prepare the tanks, the Monster Army are now the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions! Not a bad birthday present for Yuji Hino, who turns 28 today. Antonio Honda declared he will start the auction for the belts at 300 million yen. Keisuke Ishii was devastated to lose the 6-Man Tag Title so soon after losing the DDT Extreme Title.

Toru Owashi appeared to announce his full time return to wrestling. He has spent the last couple of years away from wrestling raising enough money to move to Tokyo. Now he is running his own shop in Tokyo and is able to wrestle again. Sanshiro Takagi isn’t excited about the news. He thinks DDT has enough wrestlers and wonders why Owashi hasn’t gone looking for other promotions. Tsurumi Amon will put Owashi through a series of matches to see if he is good enough to come back.

Yuzuki Aikawa’s DDT farewell was ruined by Danshoku Dino & Akiawa’s fellow Stardom wrestler Yoshiko. Dino debuted a brand new finisher to pin Sanshiro Takagi. From what I can guess, the Shin Danshoku Driver is a Beach Break with the victim’s head shoved into the back of Dino’s tights. Takagi demanded a rematch and told Aikawa that there is one place she hasn’t bounced and wrestled in yet, the streets!

KUDO will return to action on the 17/2 Korakuen Hall show, making the Ura-Shima-Kudo unit complete again. FUMA interrupted the announcement saying that the group is now called Ura-Shima-Fuma. FUMA and Yasu Urano argued over who is actually a member of the group with Urano pointing out that FUMA is challenging him and HARASHIMA for the KO-D Tag Titles on 10/2. They shook hands but Urano then blindsided FUMA with the Tombstone Piledriver.

Hiroshi Fukuda was not happy to take on five wrestlers in a Handicap match. He demanded to Tsurumi Amon that if he won the match, he should get a prize of his choosing. Amon accepted the idea but Fukuda tricked him by switching spots with Gota Ihashi before the match. DJ Nira defended Ihashi and teamed with him to make it 4 Vs 2 only to betray him with a Rocket Punch. Fukuda gave Ihashi the Perfect Plex but only got a two count. Fukuda reacted with a loud “Nooooooooooo!!!!” Ihashi capitlised on Fukuda’s shock and pinned him to win the match. Amon asked an upset Fukuda what his wish was. Fukuda wanted to become just like Vince and promote his own show. Amon misunderstood and thought Fukuda meant Vince Russo and he wanted the return of WCW and Monday Nitro. Fukuda meant he wanted to run his own brand in Shin-Kiba and turn it into an American wrestling territory. He wants to call it United Superstars Action, USA for shot. Amon actually liked the idea and told Fukuda it can happen in the spring. Fukuda is already taking match suggestions on Twitter. One request was Antonio Honda Vs Jerry Lawler. Fukuda replied he will save that match for when he books Madison Square Garden.

Shigehiro Irie has signed a contract with DDT and is now an official full time DDT wrestler. Irie noted his humble beginnings wrestling in Nagoya leading him into DDT. Tsurumi Amon gave Irie his first order as a DDT employee, name every season in English. Irie could only knew Summer. Amon told him to do his best in the future.

There is another trainee coming into DDT. So far the name for this person I can find is T. Koda. The person was joined in the ring by the Tokyo Women’s Wrestling trainees during the announcement. Referee Daisuke Kiso was chosen to be Chikage Kiba’s opponent for the Sambo Exhibition on TWW’s preview event in Akihabara on 30/1.

7. KO-D Openweight Title & DDT Extreme Title: Kenny Omega (c) Vs Isami Kodaka (c)

Both Kenny Omega and Isami Kodaka had plenty of praise to give each other when they met to promote their KO-D Openweight & DDT Extreme Double Title match. Omega has a lot of respect for Kodaka due to his spirit and technique. As the DDT Extreme Champion, Kodaka was allowed to choose the stipulation for the match. He was tempted to make it a hardcore match so both men could do whatever they wanted in the ring. He decided to leave it as a normal match so if he beats Omega, it will prove without a doubt that he deservedly won the KO-D Championship. Kenny compared the match up to something like Street Fighter X Tekken or Capcom Vs SNK. He is 99% sure he can beat Kodaka but there is a chance a lucky punch will beat him. Kodaka said he has that punch but he acquired it from dedicated training instead of relying on luck.

The Monster Army have threatened to sell the KO-D 6-Man Tag Titles if they win them and use the money to buy tanks! Antonio Honda explained that after he and his teammates win the belts, he will go wrestle in Vietnam and become famous. That will somehow increase the value of the belts to the point where they can afford tanks. Honda also warned Keisuke Ishii that at 27 years old, Ishii is at the stage of life when a person has the worst luck. Many many musicians have died at the age of 27 and Ishii could join them. Ishii pointed out that Daisuke Sasaki and Yuji Hino are also 27 years old. Ishii’s 28th birthday will be around a week after the show and he promises he will still have the title when he celebrates it.

Hikaru Sato announced five fights for the upcoming Hard Hit show. He is currently negotiating with different MMA fighters in order to sign two more fights for the card. Sato will fight Yuji Sakuragi in a rematch from their Pancrase bout from 26th January, 2006. Sakuragi won that fight in only 55 seconds of the first round. Sato is a far more experienced fighter now.

5. Double Ring 5 Way Match: HARASHIMA Vs Kenny Omega Vs Sanshiro Takagi Vs Danshoku Dino Vs Hikaru Sato
6. KO-D Tag Team Titles: MIKAMI & Tatsumi Fujinami (c) Vs Kota Ibushi & Gota Ihashi

The Imanari Team of Kota Ibushi and his chubby doppelganger Gota Ihashi have been given a KO-D Tag Team Title shot after Ihashi requested for one at Korakuen Hall this past weekend. Ihashi looks ready to kick it up a notch and finally become a more established member of the DDT roster. The key might be for him to copy Ibushi even more. The colours and design of his ring gear is now identical to Ibushi’s.

A change in the card sees Antonio Honda taken out of the Double Ring match. Danshoku Dino and Hikaru Sato are both added in, making this a 5 Way Match. Honda is now in a Monster Army plus Batten Tamagawa (for America!) Vs Team Dream Futures bout.

2. Sanshiro Takagi, Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima Vs Monster Army
3. KO-D Openweight Title: El Generico (c) Vs Kenny Omega

Two months after they teamed together over in America for PWG, El Generico and Kenny Omega will soon collide over in Japan for DDT. Omega has voiced his displeasure at seeing Generico quickly achieve what he could not, victories over Kota Ibushi and winning the KO-D Openweight Championship. Generico has chosen Omega as his next challenger so the Canadian now has a chance to win the title he craves so much.

Antonio Honda’s stealing spree in the DDT locker room has gotten out of hand. His bad habit of stealing wrestling gear to sell online and raise funds for the Monster Army has finally gotten him into trouble. The straw that broke the camel’s back is a suitcase with a mystery item inside that Honda stole from Tsurumi Amon. Sanshiro Takagi has hired two powerful men to go after the Monster Army for their crimes. The team is none other than Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima! Takagi and TenKoji have banded together to become the COZY Police Force and their goal is to stop Honda from stealing more stuff. Takagi also wants his 3:46 entrance vest back, which Honda stole and gave to Hoshitango. The unknown factor right now is who out of the Monster Army will fight the Police. Will it be all of them?

7. King Of DDT 2012 – Final: Kenny Omega defeated Danshoku Dino with the One-Winged Angel (20:18).

Kenny Omega is your King Of DDT for 2012! Omega survived two hard fought battles with HARASHIMA and Danshoku Dino to win the tournament and earn the big prize of a spot in the main event of Budokan Hall next month. What is even more exciting is that Omega’s match will be against his B.F.F. Kota Ibushi for the KO-D Title. It will be their first singles match against each other since 2008. The only thing that can ruin this now is DJ Nira cashing in his “Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere” contract and somehow beating Ibushi (or Low-Ki being a prick and injuring Ibushi during their upcoming New Japan match, which is more likely).

During Kenny’s victory speech, he said that even thought not everyboy are fans of him, they are all fans of DDT. There are people in Osaka that are DDT fans. There are people in Japan that are DDT fans. There are even people worldwide that are fans of DDT. Kenny promised that he will bring his best performance for his match against Ibushi and that match will be the best performance of the Golden Lovers.

Ibushi responded by saying he had mixed feelings about now having to face Omega. He is glad that Omega won but there will now be tension building between the two the closer they get to the big show. He has exceptional respect for Kenny’s ability and he nows how dangerous he can be. Ibushi feels the pressure but he is also looking forward to the match and promises it will be great.

The semi-finals began with Omega defeating HARASHIMA. The former KO-D Champion expressed disappointment and frustration that he was now unable to compete in the Budokan Hall main event. He also praised Kenny for his strength. Danshoku Dino beat KUDO in devastating fashion with the brand new Danshoku Drivaaaaahhhhh!!!!!, the top rope Danshoku Driver that spikes the opponent’s head into the top turnbuckle. When KUDO recovered he was also disappointed in losing. However, he had no regrets an was impressed with Dino for twice creating a new move in order to beat him in the last year. He is also looking forward to new challenges including those that involve his KO-D Tag Title run with Makoto Oishi.

The show began with Yasu Urano, Antonio Honda, Masa Takanashi & Daisuke Sasaki all entering the ring to announce the formation of a new unit. They along with Hoshitango and Yuji Hino were now known as the Monster Army (no, not the one from HUSTLE). To show their unity and sudden rise of power, the Monster Army demanded that the 4 Way Tag Team match be changed into an 8-Man Tag Team Elimination match. Tsurumi Amon was confused by the sudden change of events but reluctantly gave in and made the match. Unfortunately for the Monster Army, theit first match ended in failure thanks to Keisuke Ishii & Shigehiro Irie. Although the Army were able to eliminate Tomomitsu Matsunaga & Tetsuya Endo to create a 4-on-2 advantage, Ishii & Irie defeated the entire side one after the other until they were the only ones left standing.

DDT announced the debut of another new rookie wrestler. Konosuke Takeshita is from Osaka, 186cm high and weighs 85kg. He and Ishii had an in-ring demonstration before Amon revealed that his debut match will be at the Budokan against El Generico. When asked to give comment, Takeshita said “I think this company is crazy, as expected.”

DJ Nira and Hideki Shiota fought each other for the brand new Osaka Omoroi Gate Title. The physical belt does not exist yet so Tsurumi Amon had to hold up and invisible belt as part of the usual pre-match championship presentation. The title would be won by the wrestler that was more interesting and entertaining during the match. However, Amon kept yelling at both competitors for being too boring as they fought each other. Shiota eventually won the match but the title wound up being vacated and disposed of because it wasn’t interesting enough.
