October 23, 2023
I’m going on holiday for the rest of the month so the blog might be a little quiet for the rest of the week. I’ll post results if I find the time but it might have to wait until I’m back next month. Same goes for the next DDT Around The World article. That might be delayed until I get home.

DDT “DRAMATIC DREAM TOUR 2022 IN YOKOHAMA”, 25/06/2022
Yokohama Radiant Hall
190 Fans – Super No Vacancy Full House
1. Yuji Hino & Yukio Naya defeated HARASHIMA & Hideki Okatani when Naya pinned Okatani with the Back Drop (10:02).
2. Yuki “Sexy” Iino, Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno & Akito “Cochin” Nishigaki defeated Toru Owashi, Kazuki Hirata & Soma Takao when Iino submitted Hirata after the Pheromones Chokoku-No-Mori (12:51).
3. DAMNATION T.A Vs The Iyasareru!: Daisuke Sasaki & KANON defeated Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda when KANON submitted Honda with the Medusa (13:18).
4. Naomi Yoshimura defeated Yuya Koroku with the Harai Goshi (9:21).
5. BURNING Vs Eruption!: Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi defeated Jun Akiyama & Yusuke Okada when Higuchi pinned Okada with the Brain Claw Slam (10:17).
6. KO-D 10-Man Tag Team Titles: Yuki Ueno, MAO, Shunma Katsumata, Toi Kojima & Shinya Aoki defeated Poison Sawada JULIE, Takashi Sasaki, GENTARO, MIKAMI & Thanomsak Toba (w/ Naomi Susan) (c) when Kojima submitted Toba with the Modified Triangle Choke (19:38).
*Legend-gun fails in V2. The 37KAMIINA & Shinya Aoki become the 8th KO-D 10-Man Tag Team Champions!
The allied forces of Shinya Aoki & The 37KAMIINA have defeated Legend-gun to becomes the new KO-D 10-Man Tag Team Champions! It was a big day for Toi Kojima most of all because he was the one to pick up the win. It was a close match all around but the final minutes came down to Kojima and Thanomsak Toba. Kojima had a recent bad experience with kickboxing at Korakuen Hall and things looked like it would be the same here. But Kojima knocked Toba to the mat and locked him into a Triangle Choke for the submission victory. Kojima said he was finally able to take the next step forward and win for The 37KAMIINA. He told Yuki Ueno to use this momentum for the King Of DDT final rounds next month.
Poison Sawada JULIE said he was caught off guard because nobody had ever used towels to counter his magic spells before. He doesn’t care about regaining the 10-Man Tag Titles. Instead he wants a singles match with his long time enemy Sanshiro Takagi! Some of the other members of Legend-gun were more positive over the experience. Takashi Sasaki accepts that their opponents represent the current era of DDT. He wants to get more of a taste of what current DDT is like. MIKAMI congratulates the new champions but if they ever act disgracefully he warns Legend-gun will come back to put them in their place!
King Of DDT semi finalists Kazusada Higuchi and Jun Akiyama faced off in a tag team bout. Higuchi came out on top although it was over Yusuke Okada instead of Akiyama. Higuchi said he knew he would win today. He will beat Akiyama again in the semi finals. He thinks he cannot afford to lose after Akiyama beat Yukio Sakaguchi in Round 1.
Naomi Yoshimura thanked Yuya Koroku for their match but said Koroku is not at the level to beat him yet. He is still too lukewarm. After eliminating HARASHIMA in Round 2, Yoshimura is absolutely confident he will go on to win King Of DDT and become the new KO-D Openweight Champion.
Daisuke Sasaki demanded The Iyasareru/CDK to cancel their challenge for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles because he thinks Antonio Honda is too boring to qualify for a title shot. Sasaki later said the titles aren’t worth much to begin with but even then Honda does not deserve a shot. Honda defended himself and said he only lost today’s match because of a mistake. KANON made him submit to the Medusa, which is the new name of his Just Cobra Twist finisher. Honda promises the title match in Nagoya will be so great it will make everyone in the audience suffer nosebleeds from the excitement.
Before the Pheromones match began, Hisaya Imabayashi wanted to know if Yuki Iino has decided on his next challenger for the DDT Extreme Title. Instead Danshoku Dieno said they would use this match to determine a suitable candidate. After the match Dieno claimed there was nobody worthy of facing Iino for the belt. Suddenly Akito “Cochin” Nishigaki raised his hand and volunteered for the match! The rest of Pheromones were in disbelief and told him he cannot challenge another member while he is in the group. He decided he can then leave Pheromones challenge as just Akito because he loves the Extreme Title the most out of any championship in DDT. Iino accepted the deal and did a pinky swear with Akito before attacking him with the rest of Pheromones joining in. They stripped Akito of his gear and left him beaten in the ring. The title match will happen in Nagoya on 16th July. Backstage Akito said he doesn’t care about Pheromones anymore and instead wants the Extreme Title back to express the pro wrestling that he wants to do.
The mystery foreign wrestler entering DDT next month is Andrew “The Giant” Everett! He is the 175cm tall (although he claims he is 223cm tall) high flying giant of the American indies. He will team with Chris Brookes on 3rd July and will also wrestle on the 7th. Everett was scouted by Konosuke Takeshita recently and received his full endorsement. That is what brings him over to DDT.

The identity of Chris Brookes’ tag partner on 3rd July will be revealed during tomorrow’s show. The clues so far are it is a foreign wrestler but, to my surprise, it is not somebody Brookes is already an acquaintance with. So that means it is not Drew Parker or a Kid Lykos or like 90% of the British wrestling scene for that matter. Brookes himself is trying to find out before the show takes place and is badgering Sanshiro Takagi online to at least send him a LINE message about it. Takagi has also said it is not Joey Janela making an early appearance, meaning it is a sign there are more foreign wrestlers coming to DDT this year.

6. KO-D Openweight Title – King Of DDT 2022 – Final: X Vs X
The four remaining wrestlers in King Of DDT gave their thoughts going into the final rounds. Yuki Ueno wants to use his skills to spread DDT across the world and this tournament is his chance to do that. Naomi Yoshimura credits his size advantage for getting through the first two rounds. He is also letting those results speak for themselves rather than fighting on behalf of the people he has defeated like the others. Kazusada Higuchi wants to win the vacant KO-D Openweight Title and become DDT’s symbol of strength while he waits for Tetsuya Endo to return. Jun Akiyama just said now is the time for DDT to show their strength and he will lead the charge.
TOKYO JOSHI PRO “SUMMER SUN PRINCESS ’22”, 09/07/2022

8. Princess Tag Team Titles: Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki (c) Vs Saki Akai & Yuki Arai
9. Princess Of Princess Title: Shoko Nakajima (c) Vs Rika Tatsumi
Rika Tatsumi is excited for her main event match because she gets to fight on the stage of her dreams. She wants to make Shoko Nakajima feel the same way and have a crazy match for the Princess Of Princess Title. Tatsumi is hoping to discover a side of herself she has never seen before. Nakajima senses TJPW is getting momentum and she wants to stay at the forefront of it. She can tell Tatsumi wants to be in the same position so she is really looking forward to the match.
A fresh new challenge has appeared for The Magical Sugar Rabbits, even if there is something vaguely familiar with it. I don’t know, I can’t help but feel like I’ve seen this scenario develop three times already… Yuka Sakazaki thinks the Princess Tag Team Titles are characterized by a wide variety of matches and Mizuki wants to make them even more valuable. Reiwa AA Cannon are fitting opponents for those reasons because it is two high profile women teaming together. Yuki Arai feels blessed to be surrounded by wonderful senpais and wants to make the most out of her opportunities. Winning the Tag Titles is not her ultimate goal in wrestling but is part of the process. Saki Akai thinks she needs to get to know Arai better because this will only be their third time teaming together. Their opponents have been strongly bonded together by friendship for years!

However Onryo & YuuRI will be joined by a third person. Munenori Sawa will be in their corner. Saki Akai & Yuki Arai got together during the week for a special training session. First they announced their tag team name. They are called Reiwa AA Cannon. The AA stands for two things. They have the same blood type (A) and they both won the same Award for Best Newcomer from Tokyo Sports. Or maybe it’s just both of their surnames beginning with A and somebody wanted to make a BI Cannon reference. Akai wanted to teach Arai the most important thing in pro wrestling… The ring entrance! It is what shows off the individuality of a pro wrestler the most and walking out there looking like a bore will make fans lose interest. Arai agrees because it was the entrances that caught her eye when she saw pro wrestling for the first time. Akai taught Arai to copy her entrance and in returned then tried to replicate Arai’s entrance.

1. KANON Vs Yuki Ishida
2. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Chris Brookes & Masahiro Takanashi (c) Vs Yuji Hino & Yukio Naya
3. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno, Yuki “Sexy” Iino & Yumehito “Fantastic” Imanari (c) Vs Daisuke Sasaki, Minoru Fujita & MJ Paul
4. DDT 25th Anniversary Special Tag Match: Saki Akai & Maya Yukihi Vs Cherry & Miyako Matsumoto
5. Special Single Match: Shunma Katsumata Vs Yusuke Okada
6. The 37KAMIINA Vs Eruption!: Yuki Ueno & MAO Vs Kazusada Higuchi & Hideki Okatani
7. Tetsuya Endo 10th Anniversary Match: Tetsuya Endo, Jun Akiyama & Yukio Sakaguchi Vs Konosuke Takeshita, HARASHIMA & Antonio Honda
10 years of Tetsuya Endo will be celebrated in the main event. Looking back on his debut I’m surprised Akito isn’t part of his match because Endo submitted to him back then. Keisuke Ishii and the wrestler now known as Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi were the other two people in that match but I can understand why DDT didn’t bring them over. How about this for trivia? Endo’s original tag partner for his debut was supposed to be another DDT rookie Takashi Dai. Unfortunately he suffered a career ending injury in his own debut match two weeks earlier so Ishii replaced him.
After this show Konosuke Takeshita will take part in an Youtube autograph signing and then that’s it for him in DDT for the time being. Don’t be surprised if he shows up somewhere in AEW next week because it sounds like the beginning of his excursion is imminent.
It’s unusual to see two KO-D championship matches placed so early on the card back to back. I don’t know what the schedules outside of DDT are like for the wrestlers involved so I can’t say for certain if it is because somebody is working somewhere else later that day. I don’t think it is for the partial live broadcast on Youtube either because it’s just the two dark matches that are being advertised for that.

Chiba 2AW Square
1. Soma Takao Vs Yuya Koroku
2. Kazusada Higuchi, Yukio Sakaguchi & Hideki Okatani Vs Hiroshi Yamato, Naomi Yoshimura & Yuki Ishida
3. Pheromones Vs The Iyasareru!: Yuki “Sexy” Iino & Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno Vs Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda
4. Special Tag Match: Kaji Tomato & Yukio Naya Vs Akito & Shunma Katsumata
5. BURNING Vs The 37KAMIINA!: Tetsuya Endo, Jun Akiyama & Yusuke Okada Vs Yuki Ueno, MAO & Toui Kojima
6. DDT x ONLY WE Special 6-Man Tag Match: HARASHIMA, Yuji Hino & Quiet Storm Vs Daisuke Sasaki, Shogun Okamoto & Akira Raijin
DDT is brought back into the world of ONLY WE and the group’s feud with PERON GRANDES. Joining the two sides is HARASHIMA teaming with ONLY WE and Daisuke Sasaki teaming with PERON GRANDES.
A nice little reunion for The Iyasareru is happening here. Or maybe not given who their opponents are. I can’t tell if DDT switching the naming positions of Yuki Iino & Danshoku Dieno on upcoming cards is an intentional hint of something coming up on the horizon or just a sign that Iino has become the centerpiece of Pheromones. Iino has been the more successful of the two in-ring recently but Dieno still looks like he is calling the shots.
DDT “DDT FREE -APRIL-”, 22/04/2022
Shinjuku FACE
1. Special Tag Match: Shishamo Power & Naomi Yoshimura Vs Akito & Yukio Naya
After the masked man’s debut in January, Shishamo Power is back to wrestle in Tokyo for the first time but so far his trainer Toru Owashi is nowhere to be seen. He is teaming with Naomi Yoshimura but his opponents remain the same. Akito & Yukio Naya do not want the people to eat fish like Shishamo recommends. They are meat eaters through and through!

5. BURNING Vs The 37KAMIINA!: Tetsuya Endo, Jun Akiyama & Yusuke Okada Vs Yuki Ueno, MAO & Shunma Katsumata
6. Kobe Specialty Special 6-Man Tag Match: Genki Horiguchi, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata Vs Yuki “Sexy” Iino, Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno & Antonio Honda
The addition of Genki Horiguchi to the show means Kazuki Hirata gets to take another step on his journey through the Dragon System. There’s an alternate universe where Hirata never left Kobe and instead he made it onto the DRAGONGATE roster. Who knows where his wrestling career would have taken him from there? I bet he and Horiguchi would have turned face and heel on each other at least twice both ways.

5. Ultimate Tag League 2022 – B Block: HARASHIMA & Naomi Yoshimura Vs Chris Brookes & Masahiro Takanashi
6. DDT Universal Title: Daisuke Sasaki (c) Vs Minoru Fujita
After getting a fever during the week, Danshoku Dieno got a covid test and received a positive result. No DDT wrestler or staff were identified a close contacts so he is the only absence from the show (knock on wood). It was already announced that Yumehito Imanari will replace Dieno in the Ultimate Tag League and he will likely be a permanent fill in for the rest of the tournament.
Some of the teams got to give their thoughts going into the opening day. Konosuke Takeshita wants to show everyone his bond with Yuki Ueno. Ueno wants to win the league so they can become KO-D Tag Team Champions and defend them in Osaka. Tetsuya Endo wants to win as part of his journey to Sumo Hall in March. Jun Akiyama says he can kill two birds with one stone by helping Endo become a champion again and getting a title for himself in the process. Former champions HARASHIMA & Naomi Yoshimura will make a massive statement about their dominance in the division by winning the titles they gave up, not lost. Yoshimura in particular will be very angry if another teams wins it.
Eruption have gained new energy with Hideki Okatani joining them. Okatani wants to use other teams as a stepping stone and Kazusada Higuchi wants the entire unit to leap forward this year. Yuji Hino sent in a message saying he wants to evolve with Yukio Naya. A message was also sent by Shuji Kondo listing all the wrestlers he is looking forward to fighting. He is also aware his partner Kazuki Hirata will get targeted for being weak. Now is the time for Hirata to get serious so Kondo prohibits him from dancing!
CDK as a team have mostly worked together in ChocoPro rather than DDT. Because of this, Masahiro Takanashi thinks the team will be fighting on behalf of ChocoPro in the tournament. He wants to win the Tag Titles and bring them over there. Chris Brookes adds his goal is to win all matches and kill Shunma Katsumata. On the other hand, MAO has figured out that his previous attempts to destroy Katsumata prevents them from achieving anything together. So instead of saying “Crush Shunma Katsumata” he will now say “I Love Shunma Katsumata!” Daisuke Sasaki is getting fed up with DDT putting on so many tournaments every year to determine who the best is. He doesn’t care as long as everyone watches him in the ring.

Ganpro is hyping up the tag team of Tsuyoshi Okada & Tyson Maeguchi as an exciting MMA/Kickboxing combo.
YuuRI’s very first match in Ganpro was against Yuna Manase last September. It was all very abrupt because of her unexpected appearance on the show. Now it’s time for the rematch and both will be prepared for each other this time.

4a. Rematch: Tetsuya Endo & Hiroshi Yamato Vs Seiya Morohashi & Gorgeous Matsuno ended in a No Contest (6:09).
*Hisaya Imabayashi wins the CyberFight Concurso Championship by Audience Judgement.
5. Makoto Oishi Produce Match ~ Our Youth: Jun Akiyama, Yusuke Okada & Hideki Okatani defeated MEN’S Teioh, Shiori Asahi & Yuya Koroku when Okada pinned Koroku with the Sudden Death (14:17).
6. Shunma Katsumata Produce – Hardcore 4 Way Match: Konosuke Takeshita defeated Yuki Ueno, Shunma Katsumata and MAO when Takeshita pinned Katsumata with a Rolling Cradle (19:26).

Day 2 of Beer Garden had The 37KAMIINA all face each other in a Hardcore 4 Way Match. Tables, ladders and chairs were placed around the ring for them to use but each wrestler brought out their own weapons too. MAO brought out a massage gun and homemade shield, Yuki Ueno had training equipment, Konosuke Takeshita had a bat covered in toy blocks and Shunma Katsumata had a plastic box full of toy blocks inside. Since this match was put together by Katsumata he asked the others to join him in a chair duel. They did so but the other three later put Katsumata through a table. MAO also put Ueno through a plastic box and chairs with an Avalanche Package Piledriver. Katsumata threw his boxes at everyone and filled the ring with toy blocks. He gave Takeshita a Hurricanrana onto the pile but Takeshita continued the momentum and rolled his opponent into a pinning combination for the win. After the match Katsumata had to call the rest of the unit back into the ring so they could close out the show together. He asked each of them what they thought of the match but cut off every answer so he could say how awesome he is. He then listed all of the championships The 37KAMIINA are fighting for next month. They will become the central stove of DDT and will turn the company into a sauna!

Makoto Oishi was in attendance to watch Junretsu face MEN’S Club in his produce match. Yusuke Okada won the match in Oishi’s place but Oishi insists he is not his substitute. Despite that, he gives his support to Okada to win the KO-D Tag Team Titles with Jun Akiyama next month. He also wants to book Akiyama versus MEN’S Teioh in a singles match after their first time meeting today. Both Akiyama and Teioh joked that Oishi shouldn’t be booking singles matches between two wrestlers over 50.

The CyberFight Concurso was a chance for DDT’s bodybuilders to strut their stuff in their underwear. That idea was almost ruined when Tetsuya Endo pinned Gorgeous Matsuno in under a minute. Hisaya Imabayashi told Endo to restart the match because Matsuno is his dad’s friend. The match began again, they repeated the spot and this time Matsuno kicked out. However Matsuno then gave Low Blows to everyone in the ring, causing the match to get thrown out. A winner had to be determined so everyone decided on a pose off. They also forced Imabayashi to take part in it. The audience voted for the winner and they chose Imabayashi!

DAMNATION met their mirror opposites when Chris Brookes, Antonio Honda & Super Sasadango Machine showed up as IyasareNATION! Brookes was Chrisma Brookes, Honda was Mad Anton and Sasadango was Yoshihiro Hino. That last one made Yuji Hino laugh. In a reversal, Mad Paulie took Honda’s comedy spot and told his own Gongitsune joke through grunts. He also got the pin on Honda to win in the end.

The 3 Way Match ended in a 5 minute draw so Kazusada Higuchi, Yukio Naya and Naomi Yoshimura decided on a sumo tournament to settle on a winner. Higuchi was the first person to win twice in a row so he was determined the winner.

Every now and then Soma Takao reminds everyone he is influenced by CIMA. He did it here by beating Keigo Nakamura with the Perfect Driver.

3. King Of DDT 2021 – Semi Final: Yuji Hino defeated Kazusada Higuchi with the Fuckin’ BOMB (12:36).
4. 4 Way Tag Match: Yukio Sakaguchi & Saki Akai defeated Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda, Danshoku Dieno & Yuki Iino and Yusuke Okada & Yuya Koroku when Sakaguchi pinned Koroku with the Danshoku Driver (9:24).
5. DAMNATION Vs DISASTER BOX!: HARASHIMA, Toru Owashi, Naomi Yoshimura & Kazuki Hirata defeated Tetsuya Endo, Soma Takao, Mad Paulie & Nobuhiro Shimatani when Hirata pinned Shimatani with the Miracle One Shot Cradle (11:51).
6. Junretsu Vs The 37KAMIINA!: Yuki Ueno, Shunma Katsumata & MAO defeated Jun Akiyama, Makoto Oishi & Hideki Okatani when MAO pinned Okatani with the Cannonball 450 (11:05).
7. King Of DDT 2021 – Final: Konosuke Takeshita defeated Yuji Hino with the Cross-Arm German Suplex (18:09).

Konosuke Takeshita is now a two time King Of DDT winner! He had to go through one of his worst enemies and then one of his largest opponents to make it back to the top. In the final, Yuji Hino stood across the ring and was shocked when the match begun because he was immediately thrown into a Blue Thunder Bomb for a nearfall. Hino took over with heavy Chops and a Sleeper Hold. The match turned into a game of one-upmanship with Elbow Strikes and Lariats thrown everywhere. Takeshita kept himself planted to block the Fuckin’ BOMB but had to become more agile idea to avoid the move by doing a Hurricanrana. Hino was almost pinned with the German Suplex and then found himself in an unusual position when Takeshita caught his arm from a Lariat. Takeshita held onto the arm and then ducked a Short-Range Lariat from Hino’s other arm. That ended up with Takeshita is perfect position to give Hino the Cross-Arm German Suplex to win the match.

Takeshita received his prize money and, more importantly, he will face Jun Akiyama for the KO-D Openweight Title at “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2021” on 21st August! He said he is satisfied with his performances throughout the tournament and has nothing to be afraid of anymore. He’s been away from the KO-D Title for a long time but is confident to go against Akiyama in their big rematch. Backstage he said the last year and a half being away from the KO-D Title scene has not been a waste of time for him. He wants to fight as the ace of DDT and the future of pro wrestling. He won the tournament with this attitude and with the support of The 37KAMIINA behind him. Meanwhile Hino is impressed that Takeshita had a move kept up his sleeve to beat him. He might have found a kindred spirit in Takeshita and wants to fight him in a rematch. When they does happen, maybe Hino will be the one who will use a secret move to win.

All of 37KAMIINA are aiming to be champions at the same time. Yuki Ueno, Shunma Katsumata & MAO have a chance to gain a lot of ground with a KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles shot coming up. But first they had to get past Junretsu. Katsumata kept urging Akiyama to do the NeppoWER!! pose but he refused. Hideki Okatani did it to mock Katsumata. Akiyama finally gave in and did it after he and Makoto Oishi beat Katsumata up. Okatani held his own against the sauna club but Ueno stunned him with the Standing Shining Wizard and MAO got the win with the Cannonball 450. Katsumata popped a cracker at Akiyama while this was going on. After the match Katsumata pointed to the sky and told the others he could see the aurora wishing for Takeshita’s King Of DDT victory.

Kazuki Hirata ambushed DAMNATION with Tegatana chops during their entrance. They had no effect and DAMNATION all ganged up on him. HARASHIMA, Toru Owashi, Naomi Yoshimura kept the hopes alive for DISASTER BOX but whenever Hirata was tagged in, DAMNATION took over and ganged up on him again. Tetsuya Endo, Soma Takao & Mad Paulie attacked him one by one. But when Nobuhiro Shimatani had his turn, Hirata pinned him out of nowhere with the Miracle One Shot Cradle!

Just like last month, there were bottles of a mysterious drink found backstage by the DDT locker room, this time with the letter D on them. Danshoku Dieno & Yuki Iino (wearing Danshoku tights) drank some on their way to the ring and handed bottles out to some of the other teams. It appeared whoever drank it would become Danshoku. Eruption grabbed some bottles backstage but Yukio Sakaguchi walked out not looking any different. Saki Akai though ran out wearing Danshoku tights and fighting the urge to go grab fans in the audience. She snapped out of it but later had the urge to do the Danshoku Nightmare as a counter to Yuya Koroku’s Sunset Flip. The Iyasareru ran in to stop her from doing anything lewd. Sakaguchi later pulled down his trunks to show he was wearing Danshoku tights all along and he pinned Koroku with the Danshoku Driver. An annoyed Yusuke Okada spanked Iino after the match for being partly responsible for what happened.

The King Of DDT semi-finals happened in the early portion of the show. Hino defeated Kazusada Higuchi to advance in a heavyweight showdown. Higuchi’s reliance on the Brain Claw wasn’t as effective on Hino compared to his previous opponents. Hino used his own Claw Hold to fight back. Higuchi tried to finish him off with the Buchikamashi sumo charge but Hino cut him off with the Lariat and pinned him with the Fuckin’ BOMB. Higuchi was left disappointed over the status quo being maintained by that result because once again he gets knocked out in the semi-final.

Takeshita’s grudge with Daisuke Sasaki was on show in the other semi-final. He also had Mad Paulie to worry about outside the ring. Some of the dirty tactics were avoided and Sasaki even gave Paulie a mistaken Low Blow over it. The 37KAMIINA took Paulie to the back so the match could continue one versus one. Sasaki was able to send Takeshita crashing into Yukinori Matsui meaning that no on was around to call the match when Sasaki gave up to the Modified Chickenwing Facelock. Sasaki hit a Low Blow before Matsui recovered. Takeshita turned things around by catching a Topé Suicida and delivering a Brainbuster in return. After a lot of fighting to get the move locked in, Takeshita finally got Sasaki back in the Modified Chickenwing Facelock and got him to submit. Sasaki vowed to get revenge in 2025 or so but until then he talked about disappearing for a while. Whether he is serious or just giving out another of his empty threats remains to be seen.

In the month when the Olympic Games will finally go ahead, a team of “Olympians” have won the KO-D 8-Man Tag Team Titles! The squad led by Yoshiaki Yatsu all had handkerchiefs in their gear because it is a necessary item in amateur wrestling. It was Keigo Nakamura’s return from injury and he wrestled in new gear for the occasion. The match fell apart for Team Thoroughbred when their Triple Saber Chop missed its target and all hit Yukio Naya by accident. Akito & Hiroshi Yamato targeted Naya’s knees and left him for Yatsu to finish off. Yatsu did the Iron Knee/Yatsugoye with his prosthetic leg on Naya. Then all of Team Olympian put Team Thoroughbred in four separate Jail Locks until Naya gave up. Sanshiro Takagi wrapped one of the title belts around Nakamura’s waist while Naya did the same for Yatsu. Backstage Akito explained that the Iron Knee/Yatsugoye is a completely original move that utilizes Yatsu’s greatest weapon. It’s an original move because the angle of the strike is different from the Kamigoye. Yatsu bluntly said it’s because of his prosthetic leg but agrees that the move is legal and there is no foul play intended.

Super Sasadango Machine announced the ticket sales for “HIRAGANA MUSCLE 5” on 1st September are doing so well that two additional show performances will take place on the 5th.

The first complete match for “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2021” was announced during the show. It is Shunma Katsumata & MAO against Jun Kasai & Chris Brookes in a Hardcore Tag Match!

The next D-Ou Grand Prix will begin on 3rd November in Ota Ward Gymnasium. It is being called D-Ou Grand Prix 2021 Part II.

6. Hiroshima Specialty! Special 6-Man Tag Match Without Justice: Daisuke Sasaki, Yuji Hino & Hiroshi Yamato defeated Jun Akiyama, Makoto Oishi & Yusuke Okada when Sasaki submitte Okada with the Crossface Lock (18:39).
A supposed King Of DDT preview between Jun Akiyama and Daisuke Sasaki happened with them hardly laying a finger on each other. Sasaki tagged himself out of the match when Akiyama was ready to fight him. The only physical contact to happen came from breaking pins or submission holds. Instead Akiyama spent more time fighting Yuji Hino while Sasaki tangled with Makoto Oishi & Yusuke Okada. Sasaki made Okada give up in the end then had a staredown with Akiyama. When Akiyama left the ring, Sasaki said he is now confident he can beat him in the tournament. Hiroshi Yamato then got to sing his song to close out the show.

The Iyasareru came out for their match pretending to be DAMNATION to confuse their opponents. Chris Brookes held a sign with IyasareNATION written on it and Honda had his face painted to look like Mad Paulie. The plan did not work and DAMNATION won the match instead.
Kazusada Higuchi wants Tetsuya Endo to know that he will be in the ring at Korakuen Hall waiting for him to have their 2nd Round match. He owes Endo a debt because Endo’s injury means both of them are currently in a situation where there is no victory or defeat between them. Higuchi wants to settle this debt in the ring whether Endo will still be injured or not.
