6. HARASHIMA & Akito defeated Sanshiro Takagi & Togi Makabe when HARASHIMA pinned Takagi with the Somato (17:08).

Smile Squash held their self-produced event in Korakuen Hall which featured guests and a sumo wrestling tournament. In the main event the Smile duo of HARASHIMA and Akito faced Sanshiro Takagi and New Japan brawler Togi Makabe. There was respect shown by HARASHIMA and Makabe towards each other which was expected since they are old friends. Takagi provided his brand of lucha libre while Akito had his grappling game on show. HARASHIMA countered Takagi’s Sit Down Himawari Bomb into a Reverse Frankensteiner and then the Somato to end the match.

The show also featured Kendo Kashin’s first match in six months when he faced Smile Squash’s third member Yasu Urano. Kashin’s entrance music began with “Smile For Me” by Naoko Kawai then cut into “Sky Walk”. He also had temporary tattoos of Yuji Nagata’s face sliced in two and flipped over placed on his stomach. Kashin fought dirty, he bit Urano’s finger in order to escape from a Camel Clutch. He then criticised Urano’s for wearing a bandana while wrestling. Kashin would accidentally knock out Yukinori Matsui with a missed Neckbreaker Drop. Urano and Kashin brawled outside and Kashin attacked Shun Miyatake (Trainee) before leaving ringside. He then returned with Togi Makabe’s chain wrapped around his hand! Makabe came out and Lariated Kashin to get his chain back. Back in the ring Kashin tried to finish off Urano with a Cross Armbreaker from the top rope but Urano countered it into a cradle and got the pin. After the match Kashin gave Urano a singlet with “Higashioku Gakuen” written on the backside of it. He made Urano wear it and they celebrated in the ring together.

Shuji Ishikawa won the Sumo tournament by beating Gota Ihashi, Daisuke Sekimoto and Konosuke Takeshita in his playoff bouts. The previous tournament winner Tomomitsu Matsunaga was defeated in the first round by Takeshita. When asked if he will become the Yokozuna (the sumo class, not the WWF wrestler) of Union, he said he would like to face Akebono in a sumo bout sometime.

The Texas Tiger Cub Rope Death Match had Masa Takanashi pin a tied up Antonio Honda. There was also a stuffed tiger cub toy attached to the tiger rope. Apparantly it’s as lethal as a cowbell.

Shiori Asahi is pretty embarrassed that his surprise reveal as Makoto Oishi’s mystery partner keeps getting spoiled.

ibushi-shoot-boxing

Kota Ibushi will compete in a shoot boxing exhibition match on 30th November. The event is QueSeraJapon Presents SHOOT BOXING S-cup in Sumo Hall. The plan came together when DDT president Sanshiro Takagi and Shoot Boxing Association chairman Takeshi Caeser met during a magazine interview. Caeser asked Takagi if there were any pro wrestlers who would be a good fit for shoot boxing. Takagi immediately thought of Ibushi due to his karate background. Ibushi thinks it is a fun idea. He gets to introduce shoot boxing to pro wrestling fans and pro wrestling to shoot boxing fans. His opponent is to be determined but Takeshi did consider trying to bring in Kazushi Sakuraba. The event takes place the same day DDT is in Korakuen Hall but Ibushi said he will be on both shows.

6. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Sanshiro Takagi, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata (c) defeated Antonio Honda, Konosuke Takeshita & Tetsuya Endo when Hirata pinned Honda with the Sliding Kick (19:27).
*V1 for T2Hide.

The KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles defence was centred around Kazuki Hirata. The junior of T2Hide wanted to prove he deserved to be a champion and that he could dance with the best of them. Hirata redeemed himself when he pinned Antonio Honda to keep the belts. Amon Tsurumi approached T2Hide after the match asking if they wanted to make their match against Gorgeous Matsuno & the Brahman Brothers on 30th November for the titles. Sanshiro Takagi & Toru Owashi both declined, citing their opponents don’t have the track record to deserve a shot. But Hirata accepted the challenge and confirmed the belts will be on the line. He then danced to celebrate.

Soma Takao got a measure of revenge on Yasu Urano in the semi-main event. The finish was almost a repeat of last week’s match in Saitama. Urano was about to counter cradle the Gin And Tonic but this time Takao blocked it and was able to pin his current rival. Takao called it a strategic victory and proof that he can adjust and prepare himself for HARASHIMA. Urano told him not to get ahead of himself. They still have a singles match together on 15th November.

Since this was DDT’s first time in Numazu, Danshoku Dino & Makoto Oishi provided a demonstration at the beginning of the show to an audience that contained people who were watching wrestling for the first time. Dino invited Oishi’s mother into the ring and asked her to play the role of the referee while Oishi and one of the DDT trainees explained the rules. Oishi’s mother would return to be the replacemnt referee for Dino & Oishi’s match against Yukio Sakaguchi & DJ Nira when Daisuke Kiso was shoved face first into Dino’s ass. Oishi trapped Nira in a Cross Knee Lock and his mother called for the bell when Nira tapped out. Oishi credited his mother for the victory.

Michael Nakazawa entered the ring announcing today was his triumphant homecoming after a brief trip to Norway for warrior training. Daisuke Sasaki submitted him in 20 seconds. Nakazawa wanted an immediate rematch so he could show the results of his training in Norway. It was granted but Nakazawa wound up losing again, this time to Kota Ibushi.

Akito and MIKAMI met in the ring for a skirmish before their DDT Extreme Title match. However, it was a 3 Way match with Shigehiro Irie playing the third wheel. Irie understood the situation and sat in the crowd to let Akito and MIKAMI wrestle each other. MIKAMI yelled for help when he was in danger of submitting to Akito. Irie came to the rescue but MIKAMI betrayed him afterwards with a Lariat. Akito tried to give MIKAMI the Kinniku Buster but it was countered into a match winning School Boy. MIKAMI wound up getting one over on the Extreme Champion.

6. HARASHIMA, Yasu Urano & Akito defeated KUDO, Yukio Sakaguchi & Masa Takanashi when HARASHIMA pinned Takanashi with the Somato (19:09).

Sanshiro Takagi’s attempt at lucha wound up costing him a victory. He rolled away from Antonio Honda’s Diving Fist Drop and then applied La Magistral Cradle. Honda suddenly countered the move into an Oklahoma Roll for the victory. Honda afterwards said he needs the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles to continue fighting.

Soma Takao regained some momentum after he was pinned by Yasu Urano yesterday. Today he was able to give the much larger Hoshitango the Gin And Tonic to win his tag match with Shigehiro Irie.

The 3 Way was turned into a Scramble Bunkhouse Alcohol Death Match. A sho bottle was placed in the ring to be used as a weapon. The participants instead drank from it until they were drunk. Yukinori Matsui kicked Keisuke Ishii on top of DJ Nira and then counted it as a pinfall. Ishii then did some drunk karaoke in the ring.

7. UWA World Tag Team Titles: Isami Kodaka & FUMA (c) defeated Hikaru Sato & Shibata when FUMA pinned Sato with an Armbar Cutback (18:26).
*V2 for Isami Kodaka & FUMA.

The UWA World Tag Team Champions successfully defended their title with a surprising finish when FUMA pinned the Union MAX Champion, Hikaru Sato. Sato’s partner Shibata fought with his GoPro camera strapped to him as always but this time he used it as a weapon. It eventually backfired when he swung it at FUMA but wound up hitting Sato instead. Sato almost stole the win when he was given a German Suplex by FUMA but recovered quick enough to lock on an Armbar. But FUMA rolled on top of Sato and pinned him while still in the submission hold. Sato attacked FUMA after the bell but he was chased away by Daichi Kazato and SAGAT. FUMA told Sato that he was a champion and his title is not an amateur belt. He then threw out a challenge for the Union MAX Title. Naomi Susan confirmed the match will happen on 17th December. FUMA then said he hopes Union will begin its tenth year with him as the champion.

Hiroshi Fukuda gave a lot of praise to MEN’S Teioh & Madoka for their victory over Daichi Kazato & SAGAT. Fukuda said their combination of technique and speed made them the best tag team around and they should reform the Men’s Club. Madoka rejected the idea and wanted to talk to Naomi Susan. Madoka was upset at Union because they no longer do any Aipoke Presents matches! The only reason he is in Union is so he can wrestle for the Idea Pocket idols that used to appear on the show. According to him, the Aipoke matches were the pinnacle of Union. Susan said it is impossible to bring it back because their relationship with the company ended months ago. Madoka stormed off and said he will bring Idea Pocket back himself if he has to!

Kazushi Miyamoto recently announced he will retire at the end of the year. But he still had time to wrestle in Union before he left. He had plenty of advice to give Tomoya Kawamura after their match. He said Tomoya should eat plenty of rice and gain plenty of protein every day. He then bonded with Seiya Morohashi over their bodies and they decided to team up. They already have a team name. They are called Kazushi’s GYM Bodybuilding Circle.

A minute of silence was given at the beginning of the show for Koichiro Kimura.

Ladybeard’s new finisher called the Women’s Liberation is a Spin Kick.

2. Chikage Kiba defeated Yuka Sakazaki with a School Boy (5:58).
3. Nonoko defeated Ai Shimizu with the Oppai Ye (7:14).
4. Saki Akai defeated Shoko Nakajima with the Face Kick (6:30).
5. Miyu Yamashita defeated KANNA with the Crash Rabbit Heat (6:17).

In a rematch from the very first Tokyo Joshi Pro main event, Miyu Yamashita once again defeated KANNA. While Yamashita did her victory dance, KANNA was reduced to tears from losing to her again. Yamashita thanked KANNA and encouraged her to work hard so they can both be loved by the fans and make Tokyo Joshi a bigger place. Nonoko interrupted Yamashita’s promo and took exception to Yamashita calling herself the ace of Tokyo Joshi. Nonoko said she is the ace and she won the Tokyo Princess Cup to prove it. She brought in Akane Miura, said their team has now officially begun and their name is Bust Deluxe. Miura then challenged Yamashita to a match, calling her a stepping stone in the process. Yamashita did not give an immediate answer. Instead Erin came to her aid and said they will fight Bust Deluxe together. The tag match was made for 22nd November.

To say Shoko Nakajima had a size disadvantage against Saki Akai would be an understatement. Akai towered over Nakajima and even played with her by raising her hand to high for Nakajima to reach during the opening lock up. Even though at times Akai acted like the gritty veteren putting a rookie in her place, she hugged Nakajima after the match and praised her for a good performance.

Yuka Sakazaki wrestled in a Halloween costume and had a pumpkin bag filled with candy with her. She threw the candy at Chikage Kiba after she lost to her, then neatly picked up the candy and put it back in her bag.

Akane Miura’s Canadian Backbreaker finisher is now called the Bakyuppan.

*V2 for Happy Motel.

The show began with a tribute to Koichiro Kimura, who passed away at 44 years old on 28th October. Kimura was a part of DDT from the very beginning, both as himself and also as the intergalactic indie sleaze (and possibly Jewish) phenomenon Super Uchu Power. He was a DDT regular in one form or another until 2006 and he made sporadic appearances for the company until 2008. Kimura was a 3 time KO-D Openweight Champion (once as himself and twice as Uchu) and a 2 time KO-D Tag Team Champion with MIKAMI (both times as Uchu). MIKAMI held a portrait of Kimura while a moment of silence was held.

The main event was a chance for the new generation of DDT to make a statement. Happy Motel and Team Dream Futures fought for over half an hour with the KO-D Tag Team Titles on the line. Konosuke Takeshita pinned Keisuke Ishii with the German Suplex to mark their 2nd defence of the titles. An exhausted Takeshita and Tetsuya Endo said Ishii and Shigehiro Irie were both truly strong wrestlers. However, Ishii yelled that he will not lose to Takeshita and had to be pulled back by Irie. When Ishii & Irie left, Takeshita said the four of them will continue to make DDT interesting. They were then suddenly challenged by Makoto Oishi and his not so mystery partner Shiori Asahi! They will face Happy Motel for the titles at Korakuen Hall on 30th November.

The No. 1 Contender for the KO-D Title did not leave a good impression in the semi-main event. Soma Takao got to be in the ring with HARASHIMA but he wound up getting pinned by Yasu Urano when the Gin And Tonic was countered into a Sunset Flip. Urano rubbed it in afterwards by pointing out the runner up of the Rock, Paper, Scissors tournament defeated the winner of the tournament in a proper wrestling match. Urano declared himself as the No. 1 Contender but Amon Tsurumi and even HARASHIMA objected. HARASHIMA defended Takao by suggesting he might have been kind of nervous today. Urano then asked for a singles match with Soma to determine who gets the title shot. Tsurumi agreed and booked the match for Osaka on 15th November. Urano then tried to sneak away with the KO-D Title but HARASHIMA caught him.

The mystery partner of Danshoku Dino & Makoto Oishi turned out to be Oishi’s old partner Shiori Asahi! Dino didn’t even wait for the match to announce it, he just casually said Asahi was on his team at the beginning of the show. He and Oishi still made a big deal out of his ring introduction when he came out for the match and it became a running joke for the show. Sanshiro Takagi brought out a fire extinguisher for Kazuki Hirata’s big entrance but it was also used to spray their opponents. Oishi & Asahi brought back their patented Cactus Flower finisher to win the match. Afterwards Asahi said the experience felt like Hell and he was against the idea of wrestling today. Still, he now has a championship match to look forward to.

Antonio Honda beat DJ Nira thanks to a botched Backslide Pin. Nira attempted the move but he was too weak to do it properly. The result was Honda rolling on top of Nira and Nira submitting from the weight pressing down on him.

After getting a rare pinfall victory at the Tokyo Ramen Show during the week, Gota Ihashi asked for his match against Akito to be for the DDT Extreme Title. Tsurumi rejected the idea but Ihashi ignored him and tried to bring a ladder into the match. The plan backfired when everytime Ihashi climbed the ladder, Akito either pulled him off or tipped over the ladder. Ihashi soon successfully made it to the top but when he leapt off it, Akito moved out of the way and locked on an arm submission for the victory. After the match MIKAMI approached Akito asking for a title shot. MIKAMI was the first ever Extreme Champion and the perfect challenger for Akito to beat in order to make the title his own. The match will take place in Sendai on 23rd November which just so happens to be the 5th anniversary of Akito’s pro wrestling debut.

A special 6-Man Tag Team match is booked for 30th November Korakuen show. T2Hide takes on Gorgeous Matsuno and the Brahman Brothers!

The card for DNA 1 on 28th November was revealed. There will be four singles matches featuring the rookie wrestlers. The winners will then team together in an 8-Man Tag Team match against a team of guest wrestlers to be announced. The single matches are Kazusada Higuchi Vs Kota Umeda, Shun Miyatake Vs Koju Iwasaki, Shunma Katsumata Vs Dai Suzuki and Tomoya Kawamura Vs Ryota Nakatsu.
