1. ’16 Fighting Satellite☆Battle Prince: Shibata & Eddie French defeated Shuichiro Katsumura & Yumehito Imanari when Shibata submitted Imanari with the Front Sleeper (12:16).
2. Men’s Street!: American Balloon defeated Chikara and Rainbow Kawamura when Balloon pinned Kawamura with the Balloon Sault (6:47).
3. Mars Spector Invasion!: Mars Spector defeated Mitomi Masayuki with a Cross Armbreaker (5:41).
4. Revenge Of The “K”: Hi69 defeated Shinichiro Tominaga with the Michinoku Driver II (16:13).
5. WRESTLE-1 Champion Appears In Ganpuro! ~Circle Of Friends Grows~: Ken Ohka, KAI & Shota defeated Minoru Fujita, Madoka & Yukihiro Abe when Ohka pinned Abe with the Spear Of Flame (17:50).

Thanks to Shota’s connections with WRESTLE-1, Ganbare☆Wrestling welcomed KAI into their home. KAI and Ken Ohka had met before but never been in the same match together. KAI got into it and even changed his entrance music to “BAD COMMUNICATION”. During the main event Ohka still tried to snap Yukihiro Abe out of Minoru Fujita’s brainwashing. KAI emulated Ohka’s Spear Of Flame but missed Abe and hit Ohka by mistake! He made up for it by stopping the pin count and taking out Fujita & Madoka with a Double Lariat. Ohka hit his own Spear Of Flame on Abe for the win.

Ohka thanked KAI for helping him win but Fujita interrupted their celebrations. Fujita made an Elimination Match between Ganpuro and Rubbish Heap☆Wrestling for 16th June. Fujita picked Madoka, Abe, Hi69 and Bambi as his partners. Ohka said he would face all five of them alone but his friends convinced him to let them join his team. Yumehito Imanari and Shinichiro Tominaga are his first picks. Shota also decided to affiliate himself with Ganpuro and joined the team. Ohka thought over his final pick and then it hit him. KAI! He can get KAI to join him! KAI agreed but was then interrupted by Ai Shimizu. She came to the ring cosplaying as Ohka, wearing a Ganpuro shirt and a headband with Ganpuro☆Love written on it. She appealed to join the team. Ohka was touched by her desire and decided to add Shimizu instead of KAI. KAI had no hard feelings over the decision. He admitted WRESTLE-1 wouldn’t have allowed him to compete in the match anyway.

Shinichiro Tominaga and Hi69 argued about K-DOJO during their match. Tominaga insulted Hi69 by saying he is beneath Ryuichi Sekine. When Hi69 won the match he said Tominaga is beneath him. But he also said Tominaga is becoming a good wrestler. Not a strong wrestler, but a good one.

The debuting Mars Spector had a dominant debut against Mitomi Masayuki. Wearing a mask and costume that reminded some people of Super Uchu Power, Spector attacked Masayuki with kicks and didn’t seem badly effected by Masayuki’s moves. A Soccer Ball Kick and Cross Armbreaker won the match for Spector. A worried Shibata yelled for ice while he checked on Masayuki afterwards.

6. Akito & Yasu Urano defeated Daisuke Sasaki & Mad Polly when Urano pinned Polly with a Cradle (13:51).
7. Local Triumph Of Saki Akai! Special 6-Man Tag Team Match: Saki Akai, Yukio Sakaguchi & Masa Takanashi defeated Antonio Honda, Konosuke Takeshita & Cherry when Akai pinned Cherry with the Rookie Award (17:01).

DDT ventured into KBS Hall for the first time in five years. The last show is remembered for the “Zundoko Bus Incident” where the tour bus broke down on the Tomei Expressway as it was driving to the venue. The bus broke down again on the way home after the show. This show was also a homecoming for Saki Akai. She got to be in the main event with Shuten-dōji against Cherry & Happy Motels. Cherry wasn’t happy that Akai was getting all of the attention because today was also Cherry’s 42nd birthday! Akai started off the match with Antonio Honda who could not hold back his excitement when they locked up. When they broke apart Honda said Akai smelt good. Honda kept trying to smell Akai’s hair when they were in the ring together. Akai fought out of Honda’s perverted attacks and was left to go against Cherry while their partners fought each other outside the ring. Akai rolled away from the Cherryton Bomb and got the win when she hit Cherry with a Diving Cross Body followed by the Rookie Award kick.

In the final skirmish before their KO-D Tag Team Title Match, Akito & Yasu Urano got the win over Daisuke Sasaki and his pet Mad Polly. The match went wrong for Sasaki when Polly accidentally hit him with a Hammer Punch. Urano then rolled up Polly for the three count. Sasaki pressed his tag title belt against Urano’s head during their staredown after the match.

A castle of chairs was constructed for the Heian-kyō Tag Death Match. Sanshiro Takagi said the chiar castle represented Kiyomizu-dera, a temple found in Kyoto. The temple collapsed when Kazuki Hirata was thrown into it but he soon emerged from the rubble wearing his HIRATA GO! glasses. He struck Danshoku Dino in the ass with a chair during his dance and then pinned Makoto Oishi with the Viagra Driver.

2. 3 Way Match: Shoko Nakajima defeated KANNA and Marika Kobashi when Nakajima pinned Kobashi with a Leg Roll Clutch (5:32).
3. Hyper Misao defeated Nonoko with a Rope Assisted School Boy (4:08).
4. Yuka Sakazaki & Akane Miure defeated Miyu Yamashita & Nodoka-oneesan when Sakazaki pinned Nodoka with the Magical Girl Splash (10:58).

Rika Tatsumi fractured a fibula in her left foot and was unable to wrestle. Akane Miura took her place in the main event. Miura was able to hold Miyu Yamashita away from the ring while Yuka Sakazaki pinned Nodoka-oneesan with the Magical Girl Splash. Sakazaki is very happy with her recent winning streak. She said she had fun during this match but will have even more fun when she wins the TOKYO Princess Of Princess Title from Yamashita on 28th May.

Hyper Misao is now entering a new chapter of her life. With Snake World taken care of and her team with Saki Akamiya having ended, Misao is back to protecting Tokyo Joshi Pro, Japan, the world and even the universe on her own. Her first job was to fight Nonoko or as she called her, Tits Monster. Nonoko overpowered Misao and was on her way to an easy victory until she missed a Corner Splash Attack. Misao agve her a School Boy and even placed her feet on the middle rope for leverage to get the upset victory.

Word has come out that two of the trainees who were introduced at the January Korakuen Hall show have since quit the promotion. Yuki quit to focus on her education and Alice was not in a good enough physical state to continue training. The remaining trainees are Hinako and Maho. Hinako was seen working out with Shoko Nakajima before the show. I don’t know what Maho’s status is.

Tokyo Joshi will be part of the Beer Garden series of shows in Shinjuku FACE this August.

5. Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ B Block: FUMA (4) defeated Daichi Kazato (4) with the Heavy Metal Anthem (20:25).

Block A Standings

1. Isami Kodaka (4)
-. Ryuichi Sekine (2)
-. Ryota Nakatsu (2)
4. Yusuke Kubo (0)
-. SAGAT (0)

Block B Standings

1. FUMA (4)
-. Daichi Kazato (4)
-. Takumi Tsukamoto (4)
4. Hiroshi Fukuda (0)
-. Ryu Gouma (0)

The race to the top of Block B is now wide open after FUMA defeated Daichi Kazato. Despite the tension between the two Kazato has now earned FUMA’s respect. FUMA called back to the first BASARA show when he said Kazato was not tough enough to be heavy metal like he is. Turns out he was wrong. There are many kinds of heavy metal and he can tell in his soul that Kazato is heavy metal in his own way. FUMA thinks Kazato is a great rival for him in BASARA.

Over in Block A Isami Kodaka has taken the lead after two wins in two matches. He’s aiming to go undefeated for the entire tournament. SAGAT accepts that he lost to one of the best wrestlers on the indie scene but realises he must win his remaining matches by any means.

Once again Ryu Gouma’s countout plan backfired. The only thing that went right for him was successfully convincing Kyohei Wada that his law book is an official weapon and could be used legally in the match. Takumi Tsukamoto wasn’t allowed to use his giant hammer. He won the match anyway but felt strange over it ending by countout.

5. Team Drift Goodbye Series: Keisuke Ishii, Shigehiro Irie & Soma Takao defeated Kazusada Higuchi, Guanchulo & Nobuhiro Shimatani when Ishii submitted Shimatani with a Half Crab Hold (14:22).
6. Kota Umeda defeated Shunma Katsumata with the Umeda Driver I (16:55).

He was gone for a month but Kota Umeda came back wanting to fight and live the pro wrestling life. Umeda was absent because he wanted to protect his relatives in Kumamoto after last month’s earthquake. In the main event against Shunma Katsumata he had to deal with his ring rust quickly because his opponent wasn’t going to take it easy on him. The match quickly went outside where Umeda missed Katsumata and kicked the ring post instead. Back inside Umeda avoided the Nebula Storm, hit a High Kick and pinned Katsumata with the Umeda Driver I. Umeda shook hands with Katsumata afterwards. Umeda said there isn’t enough wrestlers in DNA and that the place is more interesting with himself on top.

A nervous Nobuhiro Shimatani had to take Mao Inoue’s spot in the match against Team Drift after Inoue got injured. Keisuke Ishii bent him backwards with a nasty looking Half Crab Hold to win the match. Shimatani admitted he was scared from the pressure. Kazusada Higuchi was frustrated from losing to Drift again but was also encouraged by Umeda and Katsumata’s performance in the main event.

Kouki Iwasaki tried to stand up for DNA against KENSO but was handily defeated by the veteran. KENSO was left standing in the ring disappointed. Was this the best DNA had to offer? He challenged anyone from DNA to prove him wrong. Rainbow Kawamura answered the call. He’s never wrestled in America or Mexico but he’s been to Shinjuku and got the stuff to beat KENSO! Their match takes place on 9th June.

Daiki Shimomura will return to action on the 9th June show. The rookie was injured in his debut match back in March.

6. Team Drift Goodbye Series: HARASHIMA, Akito & Yasu Urano defeated Keisuke Ishii, Shigehiro Irie & Soma Takao when Akito pinned Takao with the Hanamasa (14:28).
7. KO-D Openweight Title: Daisuke Sasaki (c) defeated Yukio Sakaguchi with the Vietnam Driver II (18:30).
*V1 for Daisuke Sasaki. Yukio Sakaguchi cashes in his Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Contract.

As first title defences go, Yukio Sakaguchi is one of the tougher ones. He used up his Right To Challenge Contract for a fair crack at Daisuke Sasaki. The KO-D Openweight Champion tried to match Sakaguchi kick for kick at the beginning but that was not a good idea. Sakaguchi continued to lay in his kicks while screaming “Champion, come on!” Sasaki gained control by catching a kick on the ring apron and Dragon Screwing the challenger onto the ropes. Sasaki continued to use his ring awareness to turn the tables whenever he could, avoiding the PK from the apron and returning fire with a Tope Suicida. He then wore out Sakaguchi with a Sleeper Hold and placed him on a chair. Sasaki went back into the ring and hit the Super Diving Elbow to the outside! Back in the ring Sasaki countered the Right Knee Of God with a Dropkick. A flash Hurricanrana got a two count but Sakaguchi caught Sasaki unaware with another Right Knee Of God afterwards. Sasaki kicked out and ducked a Middle Kick, causing Yukinori Matsui to get hit instead. Sasaki capitalised by kicked Sakaguchi below the belt. Sakaguchi still had some fight left in him despite the low blow but Sasaki kept hitting big moves until he finally put him away with the Vietnam Driver II.

With a successful defence Sasaki called himself the strongest but refused to take part in the next mandatory title match at Korakuen Hall on 29th May. He eventually agreed but demanded his challenger to be Kazuki Hirata. Instead Konosuke Takeshita came out. Takeshita is the No. 1 contender because he pinned Sasaki in Yamagata a few days ago and on this show defeated Shuji Ishikawa in under 5 minutes. Takeshita said he has a two title match losing streak against Sasaki but he has all of Happy Motels there to support him. Sasaki called Takeshita “Bamboo-chan”, told a story about them getting drunk together one time and called himself the strongest, charismatic two crown king.

Takeshita’s quick victory over Ishikawa came as a surprise to everyone. They immediately charged each other and went for Brainbusters, Back Drops and Lariats. Ishikawa hit the Running Knee Lift for a nearfall. He went for the Splash Mountain but Takeshita escaped. Ishikawa blocked a German Suplex and tried the Fire Thunder but Takeshita again avoided a big move. He knocked the giant down with a Lariat and then picked the big dog up into the Deadlift German Suplex for the three count. Ishikawa protested that he wasn’t pinned but the referee rejected his claims. Ishikawa ranted about the loss to journalists afterwards, saying it was impossible that he would lose to Takeshita in 4 minutes.

After previously defending his SPW South East Asia Title in an Ironman Match with Sasaki, Masa Takanashi got to have another title defence in DDT. This time he took on Antonio Honda. The challenger constantly tried to do a Scorpion Death Drop and eventually hit the move. But Takanashi rolled out of the way from the Diving Fist Drop and grabbed the win with the Takatonic. Takanashi said afterwards he was ready to go drinking with the rest of Shuten-dōji after Sakaguchi wins the title in the main event. Honda was disappointed he lost because he was hoping to visit Malaysia. Takanashi’s next title defence will be in Kuala Lumpur against CIMA!

There was a tag team match pitting Kazusada Higuchi against his two fellow KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions. Higuchi feels he needs to depend on Kouki Iwasaki & Shunma Katsumata when they defend the titles against Team Drift later this month so he teamed with Guanchulo to fight them here. Iwasaki & Katsumata were victorious and came out of the match feeling more united than ever.

The show opened with Danshoku Dino & Makoto Oishi greeting the crowd. Dino announced that he was not going to cash in one of his two Right To Challenge Contracts. Instead he wanted to improve his win-loss record with Oishi in tag team matches. Oishi began arguing with Dino but denied that there was any tension between them. To prove it Oishi asked Dino to give him possession of one of his contracts. Dino was surprised by the request but agreed to give him one. Oishi then lost the contract to Kazuki Hirata in the first match. Hirata spent the match being ignored by his partners and he was begging for a chance to get in the ring. Sanshiro Takagi finally relented and it paid off with Hirata avoiding the Miracle Ecstasy during the dance sequence and pinning Oishi with the One Shot Miracle Cradle. Oishi begged Dino to give him his remaining contract after the match but Dino gave him the Danshoku Driver instead.

Daisuke Sasaki has put so much focus into his pets and Yukio Sakaguchi that he did not see this loss coming. Konosuke Takeshita countered Sasaki’s Hurricanrana into a DDT. He then avoided La Mistica and struck Sasaki with a Lariat. The German Suplex put away Sasaki and should improve Takeshita’s chances of getting a title shot.

HARASHIMA was supposed to come out at the beginning of the show to give a promo but he was nowhere to be seen. When Makoto Oishi called him out on it before their match HARASHIMA admitted he needed to use a toilet and completely forgot about the promo.

A mysterious masked man attacked Sakaguchi after his match. Daisuke Kiso tried to stop the masked man and was given a Michinoku Driver II for his troubles. Sakaguchi obviously knew who it was and got revenge by attacking Sasaki after the main event. He gave him a warning about their upcoming KO-D Openweight Title match before Antonio Honda told both of them to stop fighting.

Mao Inoue had to miss the show due to a foot injury. Nobuhiro Shimatani took his place on short notice but forgot his wrestling gear so he had to wrestle in Inoue’s gear instead.

The feud between Daisuke Sasaki and his pet against Yukio Sakaguchi continued and Sasaki is getting under his challenger’s skin. After pinning Masa Takanashi, Sasaki displayed his two championship belts as Sakaguchi approached him. No fight broke out and Sasaki was able to do an end of show speech without any trouble. The Two Crown Charismatic King thanked the fans in Aomori for cheering him.

Frustration is building up for the current KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions after two of them lost to members of Team Drift. Kazusada Higuchi isn’t downplaying the strength of his opponents but is disgusted at the idea of the titles going to a team that is about to split up. Allowing that to happen would damage not just them but DNA as a whole.
