8. DDT LIVE!! Maji Manji Broadcast Commemoration Special Single Match: Konosuke Takeshita Vs Kazusada Higuchi ended in a Time Limit Draw (20:00).

A new project for DDT had its debut today. “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI” is a live weekly show airing on the AbemaTV streaming service during the “golden hours” of the primetime TV schedule. To mark the occasion, DDT headlined the episode with a match between Konosuke Takeshita and Kazusada Higuchi. The match ended in a 20 minute draw with both guys spent. Takeshita said he didn’t want to treat the match like an exhibition. He will always be ready to defend the KO-D Openweight Title. However, he would also like to challenge for the KO-D Tag Team Titles. Higuchi shares the same idea in regards to defending his own title and challenging for the other. They both shook hands. When Higuchi left, Takeshita closed out the show with a speech until Shigehiro Irie interrupted him. He called Takeshita a wonderful champion and it would please Irie greatly to win the title from him on 29th April in Korakuen Hall. Takeshita doesn’t like the disrespect Irie showed by coming out after he and Higuchi just wrestled. He hesitated to shake Irie’s hand but when he did, Irie gave him the thumbs down instead and left.

The first round of the Maji Manji tournament filled up the second half of the show. The matches only had a five minute time limit and tiebreakers were determined by a viewer poll. Yuki Ueno and Kota Umeda were able to win their matches but MAO and Maki Itoh needed the audience to get them through to the next round. The semi-finals on 17th April will be Ueno Vs MAO and Itoh Vs Umeda.

This time Saki Akai was able to avoid getting her face licked by Priscilla Kelly.

Mad Paulie is still in his red rage state due to the springtime. However Yuko Miyamoto escaped from the Paulie Buster and escaped with the win by pinning Paulie with the Gannosuke Clutch. Miyamoto told HARASHIMA after the match that he promises not to go extreme for their DDT Extreme Title match. But when they shook hands, Miyamoto gave HARASHIMA a cheap shot then struck him over the back with a chair! Miyamoto said he will no longer be associated with Smile Squash until after their match ends. They cannot team together when they are meant to be opponents. HARASHIMA understands and there are no hard feelings over the situation. He can only promise to do his best.

Idol Moga Mogami was the special guest commentator for the episode. She had never watched pro wrestling before this show and did not even know the existence of DDT. Naomi Yoshimura and Akira Jo were placed nearby as her bodyguards for the evening. After the first match of the broadcast, Danshoku Dino chased Nobuhiro Shimatani with a baseball bat. When Shimatani escaped, Dino grabbed Mogami and pulled her into the ring. Yoshimura & Jo rescued Mogami and beat up Dino for touching her. They allowed Mogami to strike Dino in the ass with the baseball bat as punishment for his actions.

2. Yukio Sakaguchi, Masahiro Takanashi & Saki Akai defeated Toru Owashi, Kazuki Hirata & Priscilla Kelly when Sakaguchi submitted Hirata with a Modified Arm Choke (7:38).
3. KUDO defeated Kouki Iwasaki with the Backspin Kick (7:07).
4. Keisuke Ishii defeated Shunma Katsumata with the Kneel Kick (11:01).
5. Mike Bailey & MAO defeated Danshoku Dino & Antonio Honda when Bailey pinned Honda after the Michinoku Tornado Driver (12:09).
6. Konosuke Takeshita & Akito defeated Kazusada Higuchi & Mizuki Watase when Akito pinned Watase with a European Clutch (19:32).
7. Daisuke Sasaki, Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie defeated HARASHIMA, Soma Takao & Makoto Oishi when Sasaki pinned Oishi with the Vietnam Driver II (11:21).

Mad Paulie appeared wearing red face paint instead of his usual colours. He trampled through the opposition and could only be controlled when Daisuke Sasaki pulled out an erotic magazine. Whenever Sasaki wanted Paulie to go on a rampage again, he took the magazine away. After the match Sasaki explained that Paulie becomes like this during the springtime and he discovered only erotic books can calm him down. Maybe Sasaki’s anger about HARASHIMA getting the next DDT Extreme Title shot transferred over to Paulie and caused this change to happen.

Konosuke Takeshita told Kazusada Higuchi that he will show him serious pro wrestling when they headline the first episode of “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI” on Tuesday. The two faced off with their championship belts.

Today’s match for Danshoku Dino and Antonio Honda was a chance for them to be nostalgic about their past. Dino said it’s been ten years since they lived together. They spent their days sharing the same room and playing on a guitar to pass the time. Honda had no memory of this. He gained some recollection during the match but it was just so he could use it to distract his opponents for an eye poke. Mike Bailey & MAO ended up winning the match with a Michinoku Tornado Driver/Unified Wing Angel. Bailey surprised MAO backstage by revealing he’s been learning Japanese and giving a few post-match comments in that language.

Priscilla Kelly made things a bit awkward by licking a few of the other wrestlers during their match. Kazuki Hirata scared her when he took out his Hirata GO! glasses but she told her that in DDT, dancing is also pro wrestling. They danced together until Yukio Sakaguchi came in and beat up Hirata for the finish.

6. Miyu Yamashita & Yuka Sakazaki defeated Rika Tatsumi & Maho Kurone when Yamashita pinned Tatsumi with the Attitude Adjustment (11:53).

On the journey to next month’s Korakuen Hall show, Miyu Yamashita sent a strong message to Rika Tatsumi by pinning her in the main event. Yamashita cut off the Missile Hips with a High Kick. Tatsumi countered the Attitude Adjustment into a Dragon Sleeper but Yamashita kicked her way out of the move and got the pin with another Attitude Adjustment. Yamashita told Tatsumi that she is strong but asked if she is really ready for their TOKYO Princess Title match. Tatsumi said she is and to prove it she took out a pair of scissors and began cutting off some of her own hair! She cut off more hair during her backstage interview. She said she’s been living with her black hair unchanged for so long that she feels now is the time for change. With this determination Tatsumi says she will definitely win the Princess Title and begin the White Dragon era of Tokyo Joshi Pro!

Marika Kobashi had her second big singles match of the week against her upcoming tag partner Reika Saiki. Like her match with Yamashita yesterday, Kobashi threw everything she had but ultimately fell to her more experienced opponent. Their moment together was interrupted by NEO Biishiki-gun. Kobashi was described as being a bitter young girl by Azusa Christie. She loses to them over and over, changing her tag partner everytime. NEO Biishiki-gun are destined to be a team forever and that makes them different to Kobashi. Saki-sama then said the depth of NEO Biishiki-gun’s bond is much different than the bond Kobashi has with Saiki. She will make Kobashi understand that NEO Biishiki-gun are the most dignified, the most strongest and the most beautiful team around. When they left, Kobashi said that no matter what they say about her, she will change and overcome any special training that is needed.

Shoko Nakajima defeated Priscilla Kelly in a first time meeting. Nakajima is happy to be facing wrestlers from around the world. Not only is it fun but she gets to fight different kinds of monsters. She thinks Kelly is kind of a monster and Su Yung is definitely a monster. Nakajima & Yuka Sakazaki will be fighting Yung & Maho Kurone at the 3rd May Korakuen show. Nakajima is a Japanese kaiju and wants to be the strongest monster of them all! Kelly described the match as aggressive and feels it will be a great influence for the rest of her career.

Nodoka-oneesan & Yuki Kamifuku decided to call themselves the Sisters Respect Army for their match against the Ito Respect Army because they both love their sisters.

3. 3 Way Match: Shoko Nakajima defeated Nodoka-oneesan and Maki Ito when Nakajima pinned Ito with a Japanese Leg Clutch Roll (7:52).
4. Rika Tatsumi & Maho Kurone defeated Hyper Misao & Priscilla Kelly when Tatsumi pinned Misao with the Missile Hips (9:06).
5. Saki-sama & Azusa Christie defeated Mizuki & Yuki Kamifuku when Saki-sama submitted Kamifuku with the Versailles Foot Choke (9:29).
6. Miyu Yamashita defeated Marika Kobashi with a Modified Cobra Clutch (8:41).

Marika Kobashi begun the first of two big singles matches to prepare for her next TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles challenge. Today she went up against Miyu Yamashita, entering to new music. Kobashi threw chops and elbows at the TOKYO Princess Champion and almost had her in trouble with a Swinging Bulldog. But Yamashita fired back with a High Kick, the Attitude Adjustment and then a modified Cobra Clutch that made Kobashi tap out. Yamashita told Kobashi afterwards that she is still in the process of evolving and advised her to focus on raising her mind rather than her just her physical power.

There were two things that Hyper Misao wanted to talk about today. First she feels there is a bond between her and Priscilla Kelly because they both had their debut wrestling match in Spring 2015. Because of this she felt it was her duty to teach Kelly how to formally greet your opponent before a wrestling match in Japan. They went to shake hands with the Dragon Bombers but Maho Kurone took a bite out of Kelly’s hand instead. Kelly got revenge later in the match by licking back at Kurone. The two shared a glance at each other at the end of the match.

Second, after they lost the match Misao had a special announcement to make. She told everyone about what her life was like before wrestling. She graduated from college but had no job and had nothing going for her. When her mother took her to a crafts festival she discovered DDT for the first time. DDT was at the festival presenting one of their Street Pro Wrestling matches. She had never watched pro wrestling before this and was inspired by the creativity of what she saw. From that point on she had a dream not just to be a wrestler but a hero. So her announcement is on 3rd May at Korakuen Hall she will take part in a Falls Count Anywhere match against an opponent to be determined. Sanshiro Takagi came out. Misao thought this meant Takagi was her opponent but that was impossible because Takagi had just been banished from DDT. Takagi said her opponent is someone else. It’s Jun Kasai! He came out and greeted Misao, telling her he heard that her life has been crazy in a good way ever since she saw that match. Misao said she will go into the match without fear!

Tokyo Joshi Pro and the entire Up Up Girls organisation will host a collaborative show in Shunjuku FACE on 27th June. Both the musical unit and wrestling unit of the Up Up Girls will perform at the show while Tokyo Joshi will provide wrestling matches. Maki Ito is upset that the show isn’t named after the Ito Respect Army.

6. BASARA’s 12.12.12: Tank Nagai defeated Ryuichi Sekine with the Diving Senton (10:20).
7. BASARA’s 12.12.12: SAGAT defeated Ryota Nakatsu with the Goregrind (10:42).

Every singles match on this show had a 12 minute time limit. SAGAT scored a big victory in the main event over Ryota Nakatsu. He avoided the V Slider and dropped Nakatsu with a Death Valley Bomb. With over a minute left to go, SAGAT hit the Goregrind and got the three count. When his celebration was done, Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi entered the ring with a brand new look. This was his first appearance in BASARA since his travels to India so he could learn yoga. He reintroduced himself to the crowd and said that everyone in the Metal Family have been in suffering and they should learn yoga to free themselves. FUMA thought Hiroshi went to Indonesia and said they have a good heavy metal scene over there. Hiroshi began singing a hymn that put FUMA, SAGAT and Yusuke Kubo into a trance. He then told everyone he will return at Korakuen Hall on 3rd May.

Isami Kodaka Vs Manabu Hara was the only match using the 12.12.12 rules to end in a time limit draw. Hara said that is was difficult for him to find his rhythm because of the time limit. He usually finds it after 10 minutes but in this case having only two minutes remaining to go out and win threw him off.

Hercules Senga & Gouma Ryu fell apart as a team when they collided by accident. The Best Stretchman team then hit Ryu with a Double Stretch Kick to win. Senga refused to have another rematch with them. Instead he wants to take them to court with the ultimate goal of banishing them from BASARA! Ryu promised to defend the Stretchmen in the Pro Wrestling Trial.

Tomoya Kawamura made an appearance at the beginning of the show to talk about the end of his contract with BASARA. He explained what led to his decision to leave and admits he feels selfish over it. However he still intends to wrestle in the future and hopes that his path will bring him back to BASARA some day.

7. 1st Sanshiro Takagi DNA SUPER TAG TOURNAMENT – Final: Naomi Yoshimura & Akiro Jo defeated Yuki Ueno & Koju Takeda when Yoshimura pinned Ueno with the Throwaway Power Bomb (16:39).

The Naomi Kingdom duo of Naomi Yoshimura & Akiro Jo have swept through the tag tournament, first eliminating MAO & Rising HAYATO in the semi final. They then beat the young team of Yuki Ueno & Koju Takeda in the final. The winners were given a portrait of Sanshiro Takagi along with a 3,000 yen cash prize. Yoshimura was angered by getting such a pitiful prize and stomped on the portrait. He then threatened to crash the first episode of “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI” taking place next week.

Ueno & Takeda beat Kouki Iwasaki & Ryota Nakatsu in the other semi final when Nakatsu accidentally hit Iwasaki with a High Kick meant for Ueno.

Shunma Katsumata thought his recent hardcore wrestling experience would prepare him for anything that Keisuke Okuda would throw at him. But it wasn’t. Okuda threw Katsumata around ringside including into the front row seats. Katsumata fought his way back but a Sleeper Hold took him out of the match. Katsumata would like a rematch but fears DNA will not give it to him.

Choun-Shiryu drank from a flask so he could use drunken kung fu against Rekka. It worked so well that Rekka took out his own flask so he could use drunk kung fu too. Shiryu trapped Rekka in a Kangaroo Lock, an elevated Double Arm Trapped Crab Hold. Rekka couldn’t tap out so the referee stopped the match and declared Shiryu the winner. Shiryu said backstage that history is written by the winners and for the last 4,000 years China is the winner. The history of China in DDT begins and ends with Choun-Shiryu!

Yuki Iino announced he will return to action for DNA in June. He only wrestled in two matches for DNA before his injury so he understands if nobody remembers what he is like in the ring. He wants to make up for lost time and show what he gained during his recovery time.
