1. Yasu Urano defeated Takeru Inoue with a Headlock (9:10).
2. Turnabout Pro Wrestling Trial: Ayato Yoshida defeated Banana Senga and Gouma Ryu (9:28).
3. SAGAT & Minoru Fujita defeated Isami Kodaka & Shuji Ishikawa when SAGAT pinned Ishikawa with the Gore Grind (11:47).
4. 4 Way Tag Match: Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Tsutomu Oosugi defeated Ryota Nakatsu & Daichi Kazato, Takumi Tsukamoto & Daiki Shimomura and Lil’ Kraken & Akira Jo when Hiroshi pinned Kraken with the Perfect Plex (8:57).
5. Iron Fist Tag Team Titles: Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino (c) defeated FUMA & Seiya Morohashi when Kamino pinned FUMA with the Lariat (18:50). *V2 for Aijin Tag.
With a second successful title defence having just taken place, Aijin Tag are feeling like they are BASARA’s best team out there. They asked for any other teams to come out and challenge them when Yasu Urano appeared. Urano then called down Minoru Fujita to join him. They talked about the Fujita Pro Wrestling School Youtube channel that has been running for around six years now yet neither of them can really explain what the entire project is meant to be. If it’s a marketing brand then they need to promote it somehow and Urano thinks the best way to do that is turn the Iron Fist Tag Team Titles into the Fujita Pro Wrestling School Tag Team Titles. The two teams then got into a fight and while Aijin Tag came out on top, Urano & Fujita fled the ring with one of the tag title belts. They demanded to get a title match at 29th May, which Aijin Tag accepted.
Meanwhile FUMA & Seiya Morohashi began to blame each other backstage over losing in the main event. Morohashi thought FUMA could have finished the champions off if he had fought a little harder. FUMA suggested he could have been able to submit Takato Nakano or Masato Kamino if Morohashi did a better job of holding the other wrestler back. The two ended up challenging each other to a match on 29th May.
A regular Spear followed by the Gore Grind resulted in SAGAT scoring a surprise victory over Shuji Ishikawa. He quickly challenged him for the Union MAX Title on 29th May. Ishikawa accepted because he wants to get revenge on SAGAT for being the first person in BASARA to pin him for a three count.
It’s unusual to see a wrestler enter a Turnabout Pro Wrestling Trial for the second time and even more unusual when it happens in a short amount of time. Ayato Yoshida was back in the court room just over a month after his first appearance for the alleged crime of threatening Gouma Ryu somewhere in Tokyo on 30th April. He tried to grab the microphone from Banana Senga but unintentionally threw him down, adding a second charge to this trial. The witness was a referee who complained about Yoshida calling him shitty but Yoshida’s defence was to ask what is wrong with telling a referee he is crap at his job? Eventually everyone in the trial wanted to fight Yoshida but he easily defeated all of them at once to be proven Not Guilty. He continued to beat a few of them around the ring while he was leaving.

3. Special 8-Man Tag Match: Tomoya, Noriyuki Yoshida, Kazuki Hirata & Tomomitsu Matsunaga defeated Akito, Antonio Honda, Junta Miyawaki & Hinata Kasai when Yoshida pinned Kasai with the Authorized Lightning Leg Lariat (10:13).
4. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Yuki Ueno, Shunma Katsumata & To-y defeated Takeshi Masada, Yuya Koroku & Kumadori when Katsumata pinned Kumadori with the Totonou Splash (15:43).
5. MAO & KANON (w/ KIMIHIRO) defeated Jun Akiyama & Masami Inahata when KANON pinned Inahata with the GURU-GURU Driver (11:48).
6. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Chris Brookes & HARASHIMA (c) defeated Daisuke Sasaki & MJ Paul when HARASHIMA pinned Paul with the Swan Dive Somato (15:09). *V1 for FANTÔMES DRAMATIC.
Daisuke Sasaki returned from his American expedition already getting a title match, teaming up with MJ Paul to challenge FANTÔMES DRAMATIC for the KO-D Tag Team Titles. Paul stepped in to replace the injured Ilusion for the match but this was not an uplifting story of one friend helping out another. DAMNATION T.A were there to cause whatever trouble they could. Sasaki & Paul attacked Chris Brookes & HARASHIMA with chairs while Hideki Okatani found openings to interfere in the match too. However Antonio Honda & Hinata Kasai evened the odds, allowing HARASHIMA to land the Somato on Paul. That by itself wasn’t enough to put the big man down so HARASHIMA jumped off the ropes to do the Swan Dive Somato on Paul to get the victory. Sasaki blamed the loss on his “leader” Ilusion being missing and also from being tired after taking a long flight home from America. He also complained about immediately being given a title shot for his first match back when he couldn’t get prepared for it.
Kumadori is learning how things aren’t always going to go his way in wrestling. He hyped up his first appearance in Sapporo only to be pinned by Shunma Katsumata in a tag match. Katsumata rubbed salt in the wounds a little bit by giving him the NeppaWER!! pose instead of a handshake after the match.
Not sure if I wrote about this before. The reason why Noriyuki Yoshida’s finisher is called the Authorized Lightning Leg Lariat is because he got Kengo Kimura’s permission to use the move.
I haven’t gotten around to looking into what happened on Tokyo Joshi Pro’s two European shows outside of the basic results. All I know is Miyu Yamashita has more plans coming up to wrestle across the world this year. While she doesn’t have to wait long until she packs her suitcase again, Daisuke Sasaki is emptying his after finishing up his month long journey across North America. He found a few more places in America to wrestle in before he made the trip back home.
It’s a little hard to tell if the summer is going to get busier for overseas bookings. Is there much of an appetite for international wrestling when the World Cup is going to be on? CMLL is counting on it and Konosuke Takeshita has at least one date with them in June. I’m going to curse out the company if they use their AI poster art to make him look like a Captain Tsubasa drawing.

LUCHA WRESTLING PURORESU “LUCHA LIBRE MEXICANA”, 19/04/2026 Xander Sports Arena, Los Angeles, California, USA
1. Drago, Genio del Aire & Torito Negro defeated Doble Cara, Daisuke Sasaki & Ultimo Maldito when Drago pinned Sasaki with the Tail Of The Dragon (?:??).
Sasaki is one of the more likely DDT wrestlers to go in search of lucha libre when he travels over to the Americas. He didn’t go visit Mexico this time around but he got down there close enough by getting a lucha booking in LA. While there he got to lock horns with Drago as part of a trios match. Sasaki and his rudo partners beat down the other team and held Torito Negro in the Kaientai pose. Genio del Aire tried to make a big counter attack by doing a jumping Hurricanrana to Ultimo Maldito from the human tower only to crash on top of his own head and neck in a disasterous looking botch. Drago inspired the tecnico team’s comeback and both of his partners Moonsaulted out of the ring onto Doble Cara & Maldito. That left Sasaki to duke it out with Drago but he was whipped around into the Tail Of The Dragon llave pin, losing the match to the veteran luchador.

LABOR OF LOVE “THE EXHIBITION”, 25/04/2026 Icebox Project Space, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
1. Anything Goes: Big Callux defeated Daisuke Sasaki with the Black Hole Slam (?:??).
The final stopping point for Sasaki was at The City Of Brotherly Love. Too bad Sasaki hates love because all it ever did was hurt him. The Philly indie scene isn’t what it used to be and hasn’t been for a very long time. But Labor Of Love has popped up to try and find its place in a world that has long since moved on from the days when the corner of Swanson and Ritner St was considered the centrepoint of the American indies. Sasaki went to Philadelphia for a fight with Big Callux where before the match the stipulation was revealed to be Anything Goes. Callux brought along a bag of gifts for Sasaki that included a Gritty toy. Sasaki ripped it in half and threw the remains into the crowd! Callux then gave Sasaki a bouquet of roses but Sasaki just attacked him with them. More fighting broke out with a chair, a chain and also a hockey stick being used as weapons. Sasaki got into the hockey vibes by putting on a Pittsburgh Penguins jersey to piss off the Philly fans even more. He tried to put Callux in the Crossface Lock with the chain to assist him but Callux powered out of it. Sasaki then got the upper hand by unmasking Callux as a distraction to hit him over the head with the chair and then Pedigree him onto it. Callux kicked out though and threw Sasaki from the top rope onto the chair laid out in the middle of the ring. He then hit the Black Hole Slam to win the match, much like how the Philadelphia Flyers went on to win the series against the Penguins in the NHL playoffs a couple of days later.

1. ROH Women’s World Title – Survival Of The Fittest Match: Athena (c) Vs Yuka Sakazaki Vs Trish Adora Vs Billie Starkz Vs Persephone Vs Maya World
All of the competitors have been confirmed and it’s official. Yuka Sakazaki is among the six wrestlers entering Ring Of Honor’s annual Survival Of The Fittest elimination match. Athena’s reign as ROH Women’s World Champion has reached preposterous levels of record breaking in terms of length. Seriously is this the longest running championship reign with so few highlights to exist in modern times?
BAKA GAIJIN + FRIENDS “MNL”, 23/05/2026 Sari Sari Makati, Makati, Philippines
1. Hotdog De San Jose & Super P Vs Zack Sabre Jr. & Chris Brookes

GCW/BZW “NOW OR NEVER”, 23/05/2026 Espace Isabelle de Hainaut, Rue de Saint-Quentin, Bapaume, France
1. BZW Tag Team Titles – 3 Way Tag Match: MAO & Yoshihiko (c) Vs MBM & Ultima Sombra Vs Jimmy Lloyd & Jeffrey John
It’s the biggest risk of danger yet for MAO & Yoshihiko in their travels around Europe. They are stuck in the middle of the BZW Vs GCW battle coming up in France and both sides want to take the BZW Tag Team Titles away from them. In the 3 Way Match BZW are sending in Rivality. They are familiar faces to the champions because MBM & Ultima Sombra did a tour in Japan with DDT last year. GCW will be represented by Jimmy Lloyd & Jeffrey John. Gotta be honest they’re not really sending their best into the fight here. Like they have Nick Gage & Vipress teaming up in one of the other matches. That team sounds like a threat!

2. Chris Brookes Vs X
It’s likely that Munetatsu Nakamura will be part of the Baka Gaijin in Manila show as well but for now he’s just been announced for the Dexcon show happening the next day. Even if this turns out to be his only match of the weekend it is still his first overseas expedition which is exciting enough by itself.
AEW “DOUBLE OR NOTHING”, 24/05/2026 Louis Armstrong Stadium, New York City, New York, USA
1. AEW International Title: Kazuchika Okada (c) Vs Konosuke Takeshita
Here we go, here we go, here we go! Shenanigans spoiled the previous singles match Takeshita had with Kazuchika Okada and let’s face it, shenanigans will likely happen again. But stakes are still high and the feud is finally heading towards its breaking point. Surely this has to be the blowoff with one of them getting kicked out of The Don Callis Family at the end, right?

The tournament that Yamashita won at the EVE x TJPW show made her the No. 1 Contender for the EVE International Title. She held their main championship during her big push there back in 2023. Is history going to repeat itself when she fights Kris Statlander from AEW for EVE’s other singles title?
