The big move Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi kept trying to use in the Union MAX Title bout was the Perfect Plex. It took him several attempts to pull it off against Ryota Nakatsu but when it finally hit it wasn’t enough to pin the champion. Nakatsu brought in a counter attack that took Hiroshi’s energy away. But rather than finish him immediately, Nakatsu gave Hiroshi one last chance to fight back. Hiroshi hit him with a Knuckle Punch but had nothing left to give so Nakatsu gave him the V Slider and pinned him for three. Nakatsu praised Hiroshi for his passion and leaving his feelings all out in the ring. When he started to talk about his next title defence, Ken Ohka entered the ring chanting the number “4642” over and over. Ohka told Nakatsu that number is how many days its been since he left Union Pro Wrestling back on 13th February, 2013! Not a day has gone by without Ohka remembering Union Pro and the only thing left around that represents it is the Union MAX Title. As a Union original that belt has Ohka’s name on it which means he deserves to have it! Nakatsu accepted his challenge for 18th November.

The Iron Fist Tag Team Titles remain with MJ2 after Kengo Mashimo & Ayumu Honda defeated Aijin Tag. Mashimo and Masato Kamino took each other out so the finish came down to Honda against Takato Nakano. Honda countered a roll up into an Arm Bar and increased the pressure by clutching onto Nakano’s leg. Nakano wouldn’t give up but the referee had to stop the match in MJ2’s favour. After the match Kyu Mogami spoke on behalf of his stablemates and said the next Iron Fist Tag Titles defence will happen at a 2AW show in Yokohama Radiant Hall on 15th November. Daiki Shimomura & Lil’ Kraken ended up confronting MJ2 backstage later to challenge them at that show.

Gouma Ryu will be taking a break from wrestling for a few months to focus on other priorities in his career. Today was his last match in BASARA for the time being until he returns.

Nobita is the nickname of Takahiro Nakayama, a GanPro staff member who was a pro wrestler for a very brief amount of time back in 2014. The FREEDOMS wrestlers had been bullying him around whenever they showed up at GanPro shows, unaware of his background. If Takashi Sasaki & Toru Sugiura are not careful he might decide to start fighting back!

The next wrestler from America has been chosen to go on tour with Tokyo Joshi Pro this November. J-Rod has around three years of experience since graduating from the NJPW Academy in America with Ohio Valley Wrestling being her current most regular promotion. The “Ultimate Athlete” will debut in TJPW on the 1st November show but the big match of her tour will be fighting either Miu Watanabe or Yuki Aino for the Princess Of Princess Title at November’s Korakuen show.

I don’t mind this trend of tag teams getting themselves in line for a future Princess Tag Team Titles shot while the champions still have other challengers to get through. HIMAWARI & Shino Suzuki have teamed on and off together this year but both are feeling left behind by other wrestlers from their class. The two are taking their team to the next level by challenging the winners of Ober Eats Vs Hot Shot for the titles.

The last Super Japan show of the year is being advertised as the season finale of year one. Sanshiro Takagi is so happy with how Yuji Nagata has turned out as his chosen ace that he wants to wrestle Nagata himself. He also wants to team with Munenori Sawa again and expected Nagata to get more plenty of people offering to team with him so Jun Kasai was brought in to even up the numbers. Nagata has both Kuroshio TOKYO Japan & Fuminori Abe wanting to join his side so the two teams are now set.

Super Japan serves as an alternate take of what DDT could have turned into if Takagi chose that name instead of Dramatic Dream Team back in 1997. In DDT, MIKAMI & Takashi Sasaki were more like rivals than partners despite once holding the KO-D Tag Titles together back in 2002. So Takagi wants to see what it would be like if the two of them were a tag team from the beginning instead of opponents. MIKAMI & Sasaki are both curious to find out for themselves as well.

2. IRON FIST Tag Tournament – A Block Final: Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino defeated Ryota Nakatsu & Daichi Kazato when Kamino pinned Kazato with the Lariat (11:01).
3. Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi, Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga (w/ Gouma Ryu) defeated Isami Kodaka, Lil’ Kraken & Takeru Inoue when Hiroshi pinned Inoue with the Perfect Plex (8:57).
4. SAGAT, Minoru Fujita & Tomoki Hatano defeated Takumi Tsukamoto, Daiki Shimomura & Tatsuya Hanami when SAGAT pinned Shimomura with a Spinning Bearhug Slam (12:34).
5. IRON FIST Tag Tournament – Final: Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino defeated Kyu Mogami & Naka Shuma when Nakano pinned Shuma with the Takagari (18:30).

This year’s IRON FIST Tag Tournament winners are Aijin Tag! They got past Shitamachi Rocket in the semi final, mostly because Daichi Kazato’s constant backfiring moves was too much for even Ryota Nakatsu to make up for. Their opponents in the final were the two delinquints from MJ2. They got past Hyakusho Ikki by tricking Ryuichi Sekine & FUMA into using weapons in front of the ref so they would get disqualified. Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino were able to defeat Kyu Mogami & Naka Shuma to win the final but they told the fans afterwards that is only half of MJ2 they have beaten. The other half Kengo Mashimo & Ayumu Honda also happen to be the Iron Fist Tag Team Champions so Aijin Tag want to face them next with the belts on the line! Honda was in the corner for Mogami & Shuma during the show. He didn’t say anything but did shake hands with Nakano & Kamino to accept their challenge. The title match will happen on 31st October.

All that has done is made Yamashita angry enough to want the championship back even it it means ruining Kiryu’s moment!

A fan vote that was done on Tokyo Joshi Pro’s Twitter has Uta Takami as the favorite to win the Next Generation Tournament ahead of Kira Summer. Although Chika Nanase didn’t finish last in the vote (that was Ren Konatsu), her low score as well as being left out of TJPW’s second season of the Next Generation Youtube series and also not having a homecoming show yet is convincing her she is the tournament underdog.

1. 3 Way Match: SAGAT defeated Banana Senga and Ryuma Sekimo when SAGAT pinned Sekio with the Goregrind (8:58).
2. IRON FIST Tag Tournament – B Block Round 1: Ryuichi Sekine & FUMA defeated Isami Kodaka & Takumi Tsukamoto when Sekine submitted Kodaka with the Let’s Combine (14:21).
3. IRON FIST Tag Tournament – A Block Round 1: Ryota Nakatsu & Daichi Kazato defeated Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Tsutomu Oosugi when Nakatsu pinned Hiroshi with an Inverted Hurricanrana (11:47).
4. IRON FIST Tag Tournament – B Block Round 1: Kyu Mogami & Naka Shuma defeated Daiki Shimomura & Lil’ Kraken when Mogami pinned Kraken after a Weapon Attack (10:47).
5. IRON FIST Tag Tournament – A Block Round 1: Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino defeated Takeru Inoue & Tomoki Hatano when Nakano pinned Inoue with the Takagari (15:59).

This year’s IRON FIST Tag Tournament begins and Aijin Tag are feeling unstoppable. Their opponents Takeru Inoue & Tomoki Hatano both have a background in volleyball and used volleyball inspired moves. They even name their team the Death Volleyball Club. Although they lost to Aijin Tag today, Inoue & Hatano claim just need to beat them the next two times they meet in order to become the real winners in the end.

The MJ2 domination in BASARA slightly increases with one half currently holding the Iron Fist Tag Team Titles and the other half here advancing past the first round. Kyu Mogami & Naka Shuma cheated to be Daiki Shimomura & Lil’ Kraken by attacking them with a chair. Neither of them thought the win was anything special and they felt like their opponents were missing for the entire match. They warn everyone that MJ2 is in BASARA to take it over!

Ryota Nakatsu got one back on Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi after getting pinned by him in Gunma last week. This time Nakatsu avoided the Spinebuster and used an Inverted Hurricanrana to get the three count on his upcoming Union MAX Title challenger. Daichi Kazato also thinks he and Nakatsu won because Gouma Ryu, the brains of WizRYU, wasn’t there to be with his team today. Shitamachi Rocket feel like they still need to improve as a team but if they have a score for today it is 95 out of 100.

The winners of the very first IRON FIST Tag Tournament decided to enter it again but couldn’t make it past the first round this time. Instead Ryuichi Sekine rolled up Isami Kodaka into a position for FUMA to kick him so Sekine could then apply the Let’s Combine to make Kodaka give up without Takumi Tsukamoto being able to stop it.

The IRON FIST Tag Tournament semi-finals on 15th October will be Shimatachi Rocket Vs Aijin Tag in the A Block and Hyakusho Ikki Vs MJ2 in the B Block. The final will take place on the same show.

IRON FIST Tag Tournament 2025

BASARA’s tag team tournament hasn’t really followed a solid schedule for the last while. When the promotion had its management change one of the early ideas they came up with was to hold another tag tournament this October. It’s only just recently that they revealed it is the next edition of the IRON FIST Tag Tournament. To mark the occasion of the tournament’s return after missing last year, the very first winners of the competition are among the participants. There are also wrestlers from 2AW and HEAT-UP taking part this year. The eight teams entering the tournament are:

1. Lil’ Kraken defeated Takeru Inoue with a Northern Lights Suplex (10:12).
2. 3 Way Tag Match: Gouma Ryu & Tsutomu Oosugi defeated Daichi Kazato & Yasu Urano and Daiki Shimomura & Masato Kamino when Ryu pinned Kazato with La Magistral Cradle (9:25).
3. SAGAT & Minoru Fujita defeated Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Banana Senga by Disqualification when Gouma Ryu and Tsutomu Oosugi both interfered (10:45).
4. Isami Kodaka defeated Takato Nakano with a Vertical Drop Brainbuster (12:44).
5. Best 2 Out Of 3 Falls Match: Ryuichi Sekine, FUMA & Ryota Nakatsu (2) defeated Takumi Tsukamoto, Kengo Mashimo & Ayumu Honda (1) (26:43).
5a. Takumi Tsukamoto pinned Nakatsu with an Ouchi-gari (15:53).
5b. Ryuichi Sekine submitted Ayumu Honda with the Let’s Combine (21:57).
5c. Ryota Nakatsu pinned Takumi Tsukamoto with a Back Roll Clutch Hold (26:43).

The Korakuen Hall preview was a Best 2 Out Of 3 Falls Match featuring the participants of both the Union MAX Title and Iron Fist Tag Team Title bouts. Ryuichi Sekine attacked Kengo Mashimo from the get go with FUMA and Ayumu Honda joining in the brawl. Meanwhile Takumi Tsukamoto did his best to block Ryota Nakatsu’s big moves and used an Ouchi-gari throw from Judo to pin him. In the second fall Honda was cut off by FUMA from giving Sekine an Arm Lock. That allowed Sekine to put him in the Let’s Combine to win this round by submission. In the final fall Tsukamoto aimed to beat Nakatsu again but Nakatsu caught him in a Back Roll Clutch instead to get the victory. The two got along after the match and agreed that they cannot wait until 3rd August. Honda also spoke out loud for the first time on a BASARA show but simply said he and Mashimo will take the Iron Fist Tag Titles from Hyakusho Ikki. Nakatsu called for all of the wrestlers to get into the ring for the end of the show and said it would be a big loss for the planet if fun things like BASARA disappeared. So they’re going to make the Korakuen Hall show a great one!

Isami Kodaka said it’s been a while since his last singles match with Takato Nakano but he could see how much he has grown since then. Kodaka is confident that if Nakano was at his mercy today then he isn’t worried that Aijin Tag can beat him and El Desperado at Korakuen. Nakano said whether his team wins or loses, the biggest thing in pro wrestling is presence. Masato Kamino pointed out that he and Nakano will always be together while Kodaka & Desperado do not have that kind of loyalty to each other. He is confident their strength together will win out at the end.

The two originally met in America while working the same GCW show and have been tweeting back and forth for a while about teaming up. Now looks like the perfect time to make it happen. Itoh wants Desperado to learn the Itoh Respect Army dance for their entrance. He didn’t expect that to be part of the deal.

TJPW say a health issue is preventing Max The Impaler from participating at “SUMMER SUN PRINCESS ’25” so Pom Harajuku needs a new tag team partner. Luckily for her TJPW has decided to bring in Kyoko Inoue as the replacement! The joshi legend currently wrestles for Diana, a promotion that just so happened to join the UJPW recently so I wonder if that new connection helped put this deal together.

A couple of weeks after Despy appears in TJPW he will then show up in BASARA to team with Isami Kodaka. The two of them were specifically put together for Aijin Tag to fight against.

The Grace Group bus company have their own independent wrestling promotion called GRACE PROJECT. They don’t really have their own roster, save for Captain Grace who is the man in charge of the whole thing. Instead their shows are filled with indie wrestlers from across Japan including those who compete in BASARA. So a lot of familiar faces are showing up in their offer match for the show.
