*Special Referee: Akito (Former Store Manager)
Alcohol has always played an important part of DDT’s business. The Dropkick Bar has long been a backbone of the company’s non-wrestling activities and for many years Soma Takao has been in charge of the establishment. That will be coming to an end soon when Takao leaves DDT to become a freelance wrestler at the end of the month. He will be leaving his store manager role in the Dropkick Bar too so the rest of the wrestler staff wanted to hold a special Drunk Match on today’s show to let Takao take part in the fun. Whenever music played during the match, everyone would stop fighting and start drinking. It was Takao’s idea to make it that cans of Strong Zero was the only drink available for the match.
Naturally, the wrestlers quickly cared more about getting drunk than wrestling each other so the special referee Akito warned them that they wouldn’t get paid if they kept acting like this. Takao didn’t care because he’s quitting DDT soon and Yuki Ishida didn’t mind as long as he could still drink. He eventually got so drunk that he stripped down to his underwear. Naomi Yoshimura and Yukio Naya tried to keep the match going and used lucha libre to catch the attention of the other two and draw them back into the action. The music started playing more and more until every wrestler was too drunk to do anything. A bunch of wrestlers who weren’t part of the match got involved to do a Train attack on Takao. But Takao recovered to hit Ishida over the head with a can and then pin him with the Gin And Tonic. After the match Takao wondered if DDT was trying to kill them all with alcohol poisoning but then talked about how happy he is to wrestle his friends before he leaves. Naya presented Takao with a bouquet as thanks for his work with the Dropkick Bar over the years. Takao is not the type to cry but he cannot help but feel touched by this and he hopes the feeling he has now will get passed down to the next generation of wrestlers.
The trauma of what happened in Shakujii Park back in 1993 came back to haunt Daisuke Sasaki once more so he was nowhere to be seen for the Crocodile Death Match. He was replaced by Crocodile D Sasa once again. Other wrestlers went missing before the show too. To-y went into a crazy trance and wandered off into the park, causing Yuki Ueno to go search for him. He was able to find him but they didn’t make it back in time for the show so DDT had to replace them with Mecha To-y & Dr. Ueno. Mecha To-y ended up interfering in the Crocodile Death Match.
There was a special rule added to the 3 Way Match. After the three minute mark passed, the wrestlers were allowed to go over to the lighting tower where there was a panda mask attached to it. The first wrestler to grab the mask and shout “I love Ueno” would be declared the winner. Kazuki Hirata grabbed the mask but dropped it while he was being attacked by Danshoku Dieno. The mask fell down to Junta Miyawaki who picked it up and yelled “I love Ueno” to win the match.
Mecha To-y & Dr. Ueno were the replacement team in the opening match but there was an extra change for it too. Masami Inahata was recently encouraged by the DDT Variety Team to take up a gimmick and become Water Masami (because Thunder and Fire were both already taken by he and his brother). Masami took the gimmick seriously by wrestling in an all blue wetsuit while spraying water everywhere. Unfortunately spraying himself in water made him vulnerable to Mecha To-y’s electricity. Masami ended up electrocuting himself when he tried to Lariat the Mecha while his arm was soaked in water.
