When Miu Watanabe was crowned the princess of the Summer (the new intro to her song is there to remind you if you forgot), Yuki Aino wanted to prove she can become the princess of the Autumn. Today was her chance to keep her fire burning with a Princess Of Princess Title challenge that pitted power against power. Aino used Shoulder Tackles as well as a Reverse Splash from the ring apron to the outside. Watanabe drove Aino back first into the corner post and went on to work that area with Backbreakers. Aino powered through it to use Side Suplexes including one from the top rope but went back to the Shoulder Tackles one time too many. Watanabe gradually won out that battle and used her new Spinning Tear Drop variation to win the match.

Watanabe said she is sore after her first title defence but it was fun to bump around the ring with Aino. She calls Aino a precious and important member of their generation and she was happy to fight her for the championship. Watanabe then told the fans Tokyo Joshi Pro has more Korakuen Hall shows coming on the horizon and she wants to keep defending the Princess Title on the road to Sumo Hall next March. Her goal is to not just inspire the current TJPW fans but also those who have not seen her or experienced TJPW yet. The next Princess Title defence will be against American wrestler J-Rod on 9th October. She doesn’t know much about her other than she looks really muscular.

There was one time when Yuki Kamifuku and Yuna Manase were tag partners who had challenged for the Princess Tag Team Titles together. Today they found themselves in a similar position but this time Kamifuku was a champion defending against Manase. While that was going on their tag partners were pairing off against each other too. Wakana Uehara and Toga blocked each other from using their finishers until Uehara locked on the Banana Pillow. Manase broke it up but was immediately hit with the Diving Famouser from Kamifuku. Toga fought against Ober Eats by herself and was even able to give Kamifuku the Rock Bottom, but Uehara grabbed her in the Sushi Tornado to successfully defend the titles. After the match Hot Shot turned down handshakes from Ober Eats but it was just so they could hug them instead.

Uehara said backstage that this title run is her way of repaying Kamifuku for everything she’s done for her. Kamifuku said today’s win means she has surpassed Manase but she will still treat her and her mother to a Korean meal in Shin-Okubo. She also came up with a team name for their next opponents HIMAWARI & Shino Suzuki. She is calling them Plain Long Hair and she thinks they are completely out of her league. Over on the other end Toga talked about how close Manase and Kamifuku are, close enough to be like sisters. The match they had wants her to challenge for the Princess Tag Titles again and she would like to continue the Hot Shot team in both TJPW and maybe even Ganbare☆Pro. Manase thinks GanPro would be happy to welcome her as a guest. They’ll teach her the way to guarantee victory is to never give up until you win.

Arisu Endo better be careful because she’s starting to trespass into Shoko Nakajima’s territory with her insistence that she is bigger than she looks. Endo wanted to shake Alice Crowley’s hand before their match and was kicked away so her response was to call herself big in front of her bigger challenger. At first that seemed like a mistake because Crowley slammed Endo around and Power Bombed her into the corner. But despite the beating Endo took from repeated Lariats, she ducked under one and stunned Crowley with two Super Kicks before picking her up for the Ju no Okite to win the match. Backstage Endo said the result means she is bigger than “Big Al” but she’s now formed a bond with her two. She would like the two of them to team up on tomorrow’s show in Gunma because it will be Crowley’s last booking of this tour. Crowley admits that “Little Al”/”Big Endo” has a big spirit so if you can’t beat them, join them.

You just know that Hyper Misao had something planned for Yuki Arai in their first singles match together. Her idea was to have a ToJo-naire Quiz! Every time a wrestler scored a two count pin or a rope break they would have to answer a personal question about their opponent to win. The question was presented Who Wants To Be A Millionaire style including the lifelines. Arai was asked what prefecture is Misao’s home of Gotham City in? She said Chiba but was wrong (it’s Ibaraki). Misao was asked how long does Arai wake up before she leaves the house? She said 90 minutes but was wrong (it’s 120 minutes). Misao was also asked to identify lyrics of the SKE48 song “Pareo Wa Emerald” but she got that wrong. Misao remained in control of the match so was given the next question, what is Arai’s zodiac sign? She used her “Phone a Friend” Shoko Nakajima but Nakajima incorrectly answered Scorpio (she’s a Taurus). Arai got to be asked what does Misao always drink before her matches? She used her “Ask The Audience” lifeline and the poll incorrectly chose Yunker (it’s Red Bull). Arai then got asked what Misao’s favorite sushi dish is? Arai admitted she has never gotten to eat with Misao before so she randomly guessed Ikura (salmon roe). She was correct and declared the winner! Arai was happy with the result but her “Phone A Friend” Miyu Yamashita was annoyed she was never called to help. Backstage Misao talked about how lucky Arai is. The other day there was a romance novel that everyone was waiting to order because of a lottery yet Arai told everyone she was able to just go on the website and order it immediately. If Misao knew beforehand that is how lucky Arai is, she would have come up with different rules for the match!

Part of the undercard included a three match series called the LEVEL UP TRIAL that is designed to give TJPW’s younger wrestlers some major experience boosts on the road to “GRAND PRINCESS ’26” next March. Haru Kazashiro was put together with Mizuki, who was wearing a new black costume. She was also slightly more aggressive than usual which got her a warning from Yukinori Matsui. While Kazashiro got some moments to try and win, Mizuki beat her clean with the Cutie Special. Mizuki said she was happy with the match and how Kazashiro put out everything she had against her. Kazashiro is starting to feel like she is lagging behind the other wrestlers from her generation. She wants to get stronger in her own way so that one day she can win a championship.

Nakajima was chosen to be Uta Takami’s opponent in the LEVEL UP TRIAL. Nakajima kept Takami held in Wrist Locks and purposely wrestled her with one hand behind her back for part of the match. She then put Takami in the Paradise Lock and tried to stomp on her as she rolled away. Takami was able to use that predicament to cradle Nakajima for a nearfall but Nakajima got back in control by pulling her stomach first into the turnbuckle’s steel filling. Takami then tried using the Koala Clutch and some cradles to win but instead Nakajima blocked her and kept her pinned down with a European Clutch. Nakajima said Takami’s strength comes from her unpredictability but she still has a long way to go. Takami said she felt refreshed after the match when usually she is disappointed when she loses. She thinks Nakajima used this match to bring out a side of Takami that even Takami didn’t know existed. It has her more motivated to go win the Next Generation Tournament now.

The LEVEL UP TRIAL was a clean sweep for the veterans over the young generation. Shino Suzuki tried to go blow for blow against Miyu Yamashita and fought to keep her in a Sleeper Hold but it was inevitable that she would fall to the Skull Kick. Yamashita said she always finds Suzuki entertaining and has noticed how serious she looks whenever she wrestles. But the lesson to be learned is even when you try your hardest, things do not always work out the way you want them to. But Yamashita thinks Suzuki has the same guts and spirit that she has along with an incredible desire to win. If she can keep that up then Yamashita believes Suzuki will get stronger and even become a dangerous. Suzuki said she will make the most of what she learned today because she will be challenging for the Princess Tag Titles soon. Then next time she faces Yamashita she will definitely beat her!

One day before Mahiro Kiryu can gloriously return home to Gunma as the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion, she had to defend it in a 5 Way match first. Pom Harajuku showed up wearing a full turnbuckle pad over her back and she sat in the corner to disguise herself as a ring post. Not only was it a convincing camouflage, it also meant Harajuku couldn’t be pinned because the turnbuckle pad kept her shoulders off the canvas! Suzume and Kaya Toribami provided the actual wrestling portion of the match going back and forth with each other until Raku found a way to try and pin both at the same time. She then used the same tactic to somehow give all four opponents a Russian Leg Sweep chain at the same time. The ring emptied out to where it was only Kiryu and Harajuku were left. Harajuku took off her turnbuckle pad and tripped Kiryu with it but then tripped over it herself. Kiryu took advantage and jumped on top of her with an Apology style pin to win the match and escape with the belt. Once she was safe and sound, Kiryu knew she can now go home to Gunma tomorrow with peace of mind.

It won’t be until tomorrow when Kira Summer and Chika Nanase face off in a vital Next Generation Tournament match so today they were tag partners instead. Their team up was a successful one as they went on to beat Mifu Ashida & Ren Konatsu. The two shook hands in preparation for tomorrow’s match and left the ring side by side together.

It was announced that TJPW will be holding an extra show at Korakuen Hall on 7th December. The event is a special collaboration with the idol group OCHA NORMA. Many wrestlers in the TJPW locker room are fans of the group while several idols have appeared as special guest commentators at TJPW Korakuen broadcasts in the past. The news also comes out after OCHA NORMA held their first concert at Budokan Hall earlier this week.

Things aren’t settled yet between Miu Watanabe and Yuki Aino but the main event saw Hot Shot getting one over on Ober Eats instead. Yuna Manase blocked a Double Flapjack to give Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara a Double Clothesline. Toga was then able to hit Uehara with the Elbow Smash before pinning her with the Rock Bottom. After the match Manase told Toga that she won a match right in the heart of Tokyo Joshi Pro. She also thinks Aino is ready to win the Princess Of Princess Title from Watanabe. Aino agreed and said she couldn’t have asked for a better warm up match. Toga believes the three of them all have the passion to win championships at Korakuen Hall next weekend! It was Kamifuku’s first time wrestling Manase in a while and she said Manase is as big and energetic as ever. Kamifuku tried to be more like Ken Ohka in order to beat her but that plan didn’t work so she is going to file a complaint towards Ganbare☆Pro. Watanabe then asked if Aino’s hot performance today means that “Miuderella’s Castle” has been set on fire? According to her the castle park has a pond in it so she has water needed to extinguish that fire.

Today was Alice Crowley’s first appearance in Japan as part of the build up to her International Princess Title challenge. There was a contract signing at the start of the show and it was apparent just how much taller “Big Al” is than Arisu Endo. The champion decided to stand on a chair to show everyone that she is the bigger Alice. Then later in the show when it was time for their Tag Match, Crowley immediately attacked Endo and they fought each other for most of it. Shoko Nakajima ended up wiping out Endo with a dive while Crowley caught a dive from Haru Kazashiro. Crowley then turned that into a Swinging Side Slam for the three count. She later said the only reason she came to Japan is to take the IP Title from Endo although she does like the welcoming atmosphere of TJPW. Endo also made it clear she doesn’t like being called tiny because she has a big presence!

Mahiro Kiryu was in the fight of her life with the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title on the line. Miyu Yamashita gave her a one-sided beatdown early that made Kiryu rethink her gameplan. She fled out of the ring twice, once getting thrown back in and the other making Yamashita chase her up to the aisle. Up there Kiryu grabbed the folder containing the contract that Endo and Crowley signed earlier in the show and she hit Yamashita with it. Rise Shirai then tried to grab the folder but Kiryu pulled it away and tripped over Yamashita, landing her back with the folder falling on top of her. Fumirin (who wasn’t the ref for this match) then suddenly appeared to count a pinfall and declare the International Princess Championship Match Signing Document as the new champion! Kiryu and Yamashita then fought over the contract until they were reminded of the 20 count. They both ran back to the ring but only Yamashita made it in time while Kiryu was counted out. Kiryu then tried to pin the contract after the match until Yamashita chased her away.

There were more Iron Man Title changes after the show. Shirai placed her binder on top of the contract and left it alone. Fumirin found it and decided to count the pin, declaring Rise Shirai’s Binder as the new champion! Then even later somebody placed a drink on top of the binder and Fumirin again treated it as a pinfall, declaring the Double Vitamin Drink as the new champion. This then led to a battle of endurance as Kiryu grabbed the bottle and attempted to drink it empty as quickly as she could. She finished the drink without interruption and was rewarded with the Iron Man Title again for her knockout effort.

Things are suddenly looking up for Shino Suzuki! She won her tag match today by whipping out a new Modified Cobra Clutch that made Mifu Ashida submit. After the victory Suzuki told HIMAWARI she wants to support their classmates Uehara and Toga while they fight for the Princess Tag Team Titles at Korakuen next week. However she is also frustrated over feeling left out of the title race so she wants to challenge the winners for the belts with HIMAWARI as her partner! HIMAWARI said she feels the same way and took up Suzuki on her offer. She is happy to see how much confidence Suzuki is showing lately.

We now have our first finalist in the Next Generation Tournament as well as the first full elimination. Uta Takami is on a roll with using the Koala Clutch to win matches with Kira Summer becoming the latest victim to the move. Meanwhile Chika Nanase had her first gasp at survival by beating Ren Konatsu to knock her out of the tournament. This now means Summer and Nanase will face each other again with an elimination on the line while Takami waits for the winner in the final. Takami said she will win the tournament and prove that she is beloved by the gods of pro wrestling. Nanase admits she didn’t expect her rematch with Summer to happen this soon. Konatsu felt like she was able to find her own wrestling style during this tournament even though she lost both of her matches. If the tournament is held again next year she wants to enter it, run through every opponent like a typhoon and win it with style.

The next challengers for the Princess Tag Team Titles get a warm up match. It’s a chance for Yuna Manase & Toga to fine tune their gameplan and their opponents Kyoto Tag are a pretty new team as well.

Both Shoko Nakajima and HIMAWARI will be absent from the show because they will be wrestling each other in America for MLW that weekend. The MLW Women’s World Featherweight Title will be on the line too.

The Next Generation Tournament begins with the opening round. Losing here won’t eliminate anyone but it’s going to send those people down a harder path to reach the final.

It’s an all Alice showdown for Arisu Endo’s first defence of the International Princess Title! Her challenger is a young American wrestler by the name of Alice Crowley. While she has made one or two appearances in many independents across the USA, you will usually find her in Juggalo Championship Wrestling or OVW. She used to wrestle a lot in IWA Mid South too. “Big Al” as she is nicknamed also competed in the infamous Power Slap contest earlier this year. As part of her title shot, Crowley will also be wrestling on the 12th and 19th October Tokyo Joshi Pro shows.

Let’s see if some Dosukoi spirit can take a tag team up past The Apex. The Harimao pair of Kazusada Higuchi & Yuki Ishida have stepped up to become the next challengers for the KO-D Tag Team Titles. For Higuchi it is a chance to win another championship so soon after losing the KO-D Openweight Title. Meanwhile Ishida has been picking up momentum, mostly from beating other wrestlers from the D GENERATION. Knocking down either Yuki Iino & Yukio Naya with the Flame Palm on route to a championship win will be a massive accomplishment for the little sumo.

The N1 Victory is now over and done with so the next big event on Tetsuya Endo’s calendar is his one night return to DDT. He’s bringing some NOAH friends with him because HAYATA & Junta Miyawaki are coming along too. I think this will actually be Miyawaki’s first time teaming with Endo. They were opponents for all of the previous times in NOAH I could find. The opposition has a lot of BURNING in it because both Jun Akiyama & Yuya Koroku are there. Shinya Aoki fills up the remaining space.

It took nine months but Miu Watanabe has regained her spot in Tokyo Joshi Pro as the Princess Of Princess Champion! She was warned by Mizuki not to mess with her and the champ tried to break down Watanabe with big moves like the Cutie Special, the Diving Foot Stomp and the Face Lock. Watanabe’s power became an effective counter through the use of Power Slams and the Giant Swing. She also carried Mizuki up to the top rope so she could Avalanche Power Slam her right back down to the canvas. Mizuki got a nearfall with the Whirling Candy and tried going for the Cutie Special. But Watanabe countered it into a High Angle Tear Drop and then out-grappled her into do a spinning version of the Tear Drop for the victory.

After the match Watanabe said this was her second title match with Mizuki this year and it feels like she’s had her all to herself. There is no other princess like Mizuki because she is kind and considerate so Watanabe is happy to win the belt that Mizuki made shine so brightly. Now as the summer is about to end, Watanabe will make sure the Princess Title will shine even brighter! After she said that, Yuki Aino entered the ring and said the match that just happened was too amazing. She used to consider herself as Watanabe’s rival because they both debuted in the same year but before she knew it Watanabe has gone way ahead of her. Aino wants to have a passionate title match with the new champion to prove her worth. Watanabe said they haven’t fought each other much lately so she would like to see Aino being passionate in the ring up close in person. She accepted the challenge and the match will take place at Korakuen Hall on 18th October. Watanabe can become the Summer princess and Autumn princess all she wants because all Aino is aiming for is to become champion! When Aino left the ring, Watanabe told the fans she will make TJPW become the biggest dreamland in the world!

The Princess Tag Team Titles were on the line in a rematch from Las Vegas but Hyper Misao predicted the outcome would be the same. She then asked Wakana Uehara if she is ok to wrestle after losing a few teeth recently. Uehara defiantly told her she can fight and proved it by pulling out a hamburger and taking a bite out of it! She even decided to bite Shoko Nakajima in the arm later in the match! Kyoraku Kyomei had to go back to their other usual tricks like Misao spraying the other team or crashing her Hypami Mobile into Mahiro Kiryu at ringside. However Yuki Kamifuku proved to be the difference maker. She prevented Nakajima from doing the Locomotion Northern Lights Suplex and instead cut her down with the Diving Famouser to win the match.

Backstage Kamifuku talked about how much she hates competing in important matches like title bouts and tournament finals because they are such hard work. But she didn’t want to let Uehara down and summoned a rebellious spirit to win and look cool towards her partner. She also explained that despite being a regular for TJPW all this time, she’s really been a freelancer wrestling for the company through an entertainment agency. She doesn’t know if she needs to speak to Sanshiro Takagi or Tetsuya Koda about this but now that she’s won a second TJPW championship it is time for her to become a full time member of the company! Uehara said if it wasn’t for Kamifuku, she would have broken down after her injury and wouldn’t be here as a champion right now. Kyoraku Kyomei were hoping to hold the Tag Titles long enough for their annual singles match on 4th January next year. They didn’t underestimate Ober Eats but they admit they fought a version of them they’ve never seen before. Nakajima & Misao lost today so they’ll go become even stronger in ways the other team have never seen before!

Arisu Endo’s smile has grown a little bit wider because she has won the International Princess Title! The vacant belt was up for grabs with Endo having to face Priscilla Kelly instead of her originally opponent Jada Stone. Kelly tried to throw Endo off her game early then switched to being more aggressive as the match went on. Endo wore her down with a Sleeper Hold and a Camel Clutch, keeping her grip on her submission even after Kelly tried to slam her way out of it. Kelly used her own skills with a counter attack that included a Sliding German Suplex and also a Dragon Suplex. But Endo fought her way back with a Thrust Kick that set up the match winning Ju no Okite. Endo joked about how heavy it feels to hold the belt. She is overjoyed that for the first time in her life she won something all by herself. With this belt she hopes to go visit many fun places where she can eat delicious food. Her summer has been scorching hot and she wants it to get even hotter like up to trillions of billions of degrees!

Aino earned her claim for a Princess Title shot by joining the short list of people in TJPW to ever have made Miyu Yamashita submit! Yamashita thought Ryo Mizunami was going to be the big target to break down so she and Kaya Toribami focused their efforts against her. Aino didn’t want to be left out though and made sure to go after Yamashita when Mizunami broke through the other team. Aino dodged Yamashita’s kicks and dropped her backwards with the Venus DDT. Then from there she applied the Full Nelson Of Love And Fire. Mizunami did her best to hold Toribami back and Yamashita had no option but to give up. Backstage Mizunami called Aino amazing for achieving that result with the fire she brought out today. Aino asked her to come back to TJPW again so Yukiniki can team more often. Toribami said she was sure her team would win because she thought she had great chemistry with Yamashita. The two of them also want to keep teaming together so they can get stronger next time.

It was Hiroyo Matsumoto’s first appearance in TJPW and she wasn’t interested in shaking hands with her opponents. Although she did quip out some greetings to Haru Kazashiro & Toga while she was wrestling them. When she wasn’t “making friends” she was aiding Yuki Arai in controlling the match. She grabbed Toga to seperate her from Kazashiro, giving Arai the space to hit her finisher and win. Matsumoto said she couldn’t afford to lose since her team had a master-disciple dynamic. She also wants Arai to tell her all about TJPW, like if Kazashiro & Toga felt scared fighting her? Arai calls Matsumoto the foundation that helped give birth to her wrestling career. She also remembers the two moves Matsumoto taught her for Tofu Pro Wrestling were the Heel Drop and the Back Elbow. She admitted she forgot to do the Back Elbow back then which made Milano Collection A.T. made at Matsumoto. But Arai remembered to do it today! Matsumoto thinks the move should now be named The Back Elbow Dedicated To Milano. As for Kazashiro & Toga, they are feeling completely defeated by fighting and outsider like Matsumoto. But they think it will make them mentally stronger so if she ever returns they will be more ready to stand against her again.

A few small flags were placed in opposite corners for the Flag Scramble Death Match. Rika Tatsumi and Pom Harajuku were tasked with grabbing the other’s flag in order to use a weapon. Tatsumi got one first and after Harjuku chased after her, the weapon was revealed to be a bag of 100 colorful plastic balls. Harajuku scattered the balls everywhere and threw them one by one at her opponent. Tatsumi then grabbed the other flag and the weapon turned out to be a large folding fan. She used it at first but then decided she can win without using any. Harajuku then grabbed a flag and received two mega penlights to use against Tatsumi’s fan. The final flag was captured by Tatsumi which allowed her to use the GM Tetsuya Koda as a weapon! He was relunctantly dragged into the ring and thrown at Harajuku. Tatsumi then jumped off the top rope with the folding fan but hit Koda over the head with it by mistake. Tatsumi grabbed the penlight and charged Harajuku only to get rolled up and pinned for the three count. Harajuku wondered what would happen today but since it was a death match with toys in it she knew she would win because she’s a three year old and toys are for babies! She then pointed out the weapons Tatsumi chose were not toys at all so she was actually lucky to win. Tatsumi couldn’t believe she lost to Harajuku and called it the biggest stain on her life. She blames Koda for this!

HIMAWARI decided to rely on her best weapon to try and beat Aja Kong. That weapon is her long hair braids which she explained she is allowed to use because they are part of her body. But when she charged in to whip them around, Kong held her at a distance by her head and then knocked her down with a slap. Kong then tortured HIMAWARI by pulling at her hair, claiming that she isn’t breaking any rules because she is simply grabbing a part of HIMAWARI’s body. Kong continued to use that loophole by claiming her steel can is a part of her body so she can hit HIMAWARI with it as much as she wants! HIMAWARI tried her best to block the attack but eventually took a blow to the head from it. When Kong went for the Back Drop, HIMAWARI fought her off by using Hair Whips but made the mistake of trying to lift her up for the Princess Drop. Instead Kong gave her a Lariat for a nearfall and then the Back Drop to get the win. She gave HIMAWARI some words of encouragement after the match. Backstage she described how dangerous HIMAWARI’s hair is by comparing it to Acrobatic Silky from Dandadan. She warns the next time they fight she will have to cut it off her head! Meanwhile HIMAWARI is threatening to smash the steel can to bits with her hair!

We have entered into a new era of the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title. Behold the era of Mahironman! Pokotan entered the Battle Royal first as the defending champion but already suffered a bad omen when the mascot’s head fell off. Then during the match Chika Nanase knocked the head off again causing the faceless mascot to briefly transform into Keiju Muto and pin her with the Shining Wizard. Raku entered the match armed with a pillow and formed a very brief alliance with Pokotan before betraying him. Ram Kaichow then entered the match thinking Pokotan was actually Raku inside the costume. So when the real Raku saw them hugging and dancing together, she attacked both of them with the pillow and pinned Pokotan. However since the pillow was directly on top of Pokotan during the pin, Daisuke Kiso declared Raku’s Pillow was now the champion! The Pillow also eliminated Shino Suzuki when Kira Summer gave her the Samoan Drop with the pillow in between them. Raku eliminated Summer and then patched things up with Kaichow to knock Mifu Ashida out of the ring while Mahiro Kiryu was confused by all of the pillow spots. Kiryu ended up getting Raku to accidentally eliminated Kaichow and then gave her the Spinebuster on top of the pillow for the three count. Kiso ended the match there because he counted the pin on both Raku and the pillow, making Kiryu the new champion! Kiryu would like to welcome all challengers to come fight her for the title but she is feeling tired at the moment and requests to get some rest first. Then when she’s ready people can come challenge her in moderation.

The opening match was filled with kindred spirits in multiple pairings. Suzume was teaming with Ren Konatsu who she inspired to become a pro wrestler. Mei Suruga came over from ChocoPro to team up with Uta Takami and the two of them are as close as sisters given how similar they behave. Plus Suzume and Suruga being in the ring again gave fans a Meibee Surprise reunion. But those two ended up cancelling each other out, leaving Konatsu to duke it out against Konatsu. Suzume made it back in to cut off the Koala Clutch only for Suruga to take her out with a Diving Cross Body. Takami went back to Konatsu with a short range Dropkick before applying the Koala Clutch again, getting the submission win. Takami said her wish came true because she wanted to win with Suruga in Ota Ward. Suruga wished it would have happened under better circumstances since both her and Suzume were recently champions at the same time but they both no longer have any. But she sees how Suzume is looking forward so she will do the same and hopefully some day it will lead them to having a singles match against each other.

Three new trainees were introduced to the fans at the start of the show. They are currently named Shion, Anri and Yuka. All three are currently training with the goal of eventually making their pro debuts.

The first ever TJPW event in Thailand will take place on 13th December! “TJPW LIVE IN BANGKOK” is being held in The Circus Studio with help from SETUP Thailand. Around 10 TJPW wrestlers will be on the show along with wrestlers from the Southeast Asian scene. Pumi Boonyatud the owner of SETUP was in attendance to announce the news.

The next big arena show for TJPW will be happening on 29th March, 2026. It will be “GRAND PRINCESS ’26” and the venue for it is Sumo Hall! By the time it takes place it will be just under two years since TJPW’s previous show in the building.

New merchandise was revealed for TJPW’s collaboration with Katamari Damacy. As part of the campaign, Mizuki and Suzume will attend next weekend’s Tokyo Games Show for an autograph session.

Act III begins. Tokyo Joshi Pro’s year long trilogy of major shows held at Ota Ward Gymnasium ends with the sixth annual “WRESTLE PRINCESS” show. And to be honest it’s really just the main event that’s doing a the heavy lifting here. That might end up becoming the payoff of a nine month lone storyline while so much of the rest of the card doesn’t have much to talk about when it comes to the last few months of shows. What it lacks in build it instead makes up for with wrestler relationships past and present. Most of the guests have some sort of association with the wrestlers they will be in the ring with. An injury on short notice also caused a couple of changes the card including one of the championship matches.


1. Suzume & Ren Konatsu Vs Mei Suruga & Uta Takami

The show kicks off with a tag match filled with kindred spirits. Suzume was the inspiration for Ren Konatsu to become a wrestler and it didn’t take long after her debut for the two of them to team up. Meanwhile the two sisters from other misters have found each other again. Mei Suruga & Uta Takami are back together to show that apples and ice cream are for everybody. These four have enough energy by themselves to keep the venue’s power in check for the rest of the show.


2. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title – Staggered Entry Battle Royal: Pokotan (c) Vs Raku Vs Mahiro Kiryu Vs Shino Suzuki Vs Mifu Ashida Vs Kira Summer Vs Chika Nanase Vs Ram Kaichow

I might be wrong but ever since the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title got its new belt it feels like the championship has spent more time out of DDT than in it. It’s been hovering near TJPW for over a month now and they seem to like holding the Battle Royal on their undercard. The DDT mascot Pokotan is currently the champion and must fight off seven opponents to survive another day. Not a lot has changed with the usual crew of opponents getting involved. Mahiro Kiryu is still apologetic, Shino Suzuki has her Up Up Girls duties, Mifu Ashida really likes using the Y-Shaped Guillotine in her matches, Kira Summer got to wrestle in Malaysia recently and Chika Nanase is adapting to more of a gal style for her appearance. The wild card is Ram Kaichow. Just like last time she is a late entry to the match and TJPW is anticipating she will pull off a plan to win the championship before the match even starts again. I assume Raku will be glad to help her with that once more.


3. Aja Kong Vs HIMAWARI

I have worked out one realistic way for HIMAWARI to win this match. She will have a chance if she can travel back in time to 1987 so she can claim seniority over a rookie Aja Kong and therefore win via the senpai-kohai pattern of Japanese wrestling booking. Otherwise she’s boned. Those hair whips are not going to do a thing against Kong’s steel can. Even when Kong is having a good day she will still whack someone over the head with one of those things.


4. Flag Scramble Weapon Death Match: Rika Tatsumi Vs Pom Harajuku

Okay this was not in the plans at all. Rika Tatsumi’s original match got pulled because her opponent was bumped up to one of the title matches so instead of fighting the woman who licked her face that one time seven years ago, she now has to babysit Pom Harajuku. It’s bad enough trying to chase Harajuku around but she also usually finds ways to try and trap Tatsumi out of venues so she can almost win by countout. That might not happen here because special rules are being applied to make up for the match change.

Both wrestlers will start the match with a flag in their corner of the ring. If you steal your opponent’s flag you will be allowed to choose one of two pre-determined weapons to use for the rest of the match. What these weapons will be we just have to wait and see. It’s just two weapons though so it will only take both flags being captured for both weapons to come into play. Will Tatsumi bring her sasumata pole back? Can Harajuku wheel in a gacha machine again like she did in Texas? Is Yukinori Matsui going to be the ref so he has to deal with this silliness with that tired look on his face?


5. Hiroyo Matsumoto & Yuki Arai Vs Haru Kazashiro & Toga

Welcome “Lady Destroyer” to TJPW! Hiroyo Matsumoto goes way back with Yuki Arai by being one of her coaches for Tofu Pro Wrestling from 2018. It gives Arai something to bounce back from after losing in the main event of her previous Ota Ward appearance. The young team of Haru Kazashiro & Toga have been chosen to be their opponents. Toga is excited to fight Matsumoto head on and is even confident she can knock her down with her Elbow Strike. Although her new friend Yuna Manase warned Toga she better go all out to stand a chance against Matsumoto.


6. Miyu Yamashita & Kaya Toribami Vs Ryo Mizunami & Yuki Aino

It’s a Yukiniki reunion! None of Ryo Mizunami’s previous visits to TJPW this year had anything to do with Yuki Aino so it’s nice to finally see them back together after being apart for this long. The highlight of Aino’s year so far was becoming the main character of the third annual “HYPE!” show (and its director’s cut) which again begs the question, has she finally figured out how to take the next step up the card yet? Maybe it’s for the best that Yukiniki stick together because Aino’s best work is as a tag wrestler.

Their opponents aren’t much of a solid team yet but maybe there’s something to be found with this pairing. Miyu Yamashita might be heading into a new stage of her career as TJPW’s first “Leader” of the locker room. She’s out of the title picture and no longer has Maki Itoh to work off of in the company. However she sees potential in Kaya Toribami and wants to see for herself what the masked woman can unleash in the ring. Toribami is getting more confident which is also opening up more opportunities for her. Like getting slapped in the chest by Mizunami a lot. Gotta fly through that fire eventually, bird.


7. International Princess Title Match: Arisu Endo Vs Priscilla Kelly

Can we get Poison Sawada JULIE to take a look at the International Princess Title belt because this championship is back to being cursed again. In a sad turn of events, Moka Miyamoto’s title reign couldn’t even get out of the starting blocks because as soon as she won it at “SUMMER SUN PRINCESS ’25” she then fell ill and had to take time off for treatment. When it became clear that whatever it is she’s been dealing with was keeping her out of action for the long term, the title was vacated. A new champion will have to be crowned at Ota Ward.

I though TJPW’s two choices for the title match was a good piece of booking. On one side was Arisu Endo who is in the middle of a breakout run that included reaching the final of this year’s Tokyo Princess Cup. She is also the tag team partner of the previous champion Suzume. Endo’s opponent would be Jada Stone, the American who fought Suzume in a neat two match series over the title during the year but couldn’t win the belt in either match. That’s an intriguing pairing to me. Then earlier this week Stone posted the bad news that she suffered a knee injury and had to cancel her next tour of Japan to go get an MRI scan.

So plans for the IP Title had to change again. Endo is still in the match and now her opponent is going to be Priscilla Kelly. It’s been over seven years since Kelly had her couple of tours with TJPW. Endo wasn’t around for that so I hope those who were have given her fair warning of what to expect. WWE didn’t change her that much when she was Gigi Dolin over there. Kelly is also starting to build up her own little collection of championships on the American indies. She hasn’t been shy about taking pictures of herself about to lick the belts in victory. Will this be the next fate for the IP Title?


8. Princess Tag Team Titles: Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao (c) Vs Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara

Terry Funk ain’t wear no mouthpiece and neither does Wakana Uehara.

The last time Kyoraku Kyomei defended the Princess Tag Team Titles against Ober Eats was in Las Vegas back in April. At the time Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara had only just begun teaming and couldn’t match the many years of chemistry that only a kaiju and a superhero could produce together. Shoko Nakajima in particular is having a heck of a year. Not only is she keeping up to her usual level on TJPW shows, she also went and took over MLW’s women’s division in America. To help build up to this match, Nakajima even defended the MLW Women’s World Featherweight Title against Kamifuku in Texas just last week. Her message going into this match is loud and clear. You won’t win if you can’t bite like a kaiju!

An injury robbed us of a clever match buildup because while Nakajima and Kamifuku were fighting over a championship in America, TJPW was going to have Hyper Misao face Wakana Uehara on the same day back in Japan. The booking made sense given that Ober Eats earned their rematch thanks to Uehara pinning Misao in an 8-Woman Tag involving the two teams. It felt like a kick in the teeth when the singles match had to be pulled because that’s exactly what happened. Misao accidentally knocked out one of Uehara’s front teeth with a Kingslayer Jumping Knee Strike during a match. Uehara hadn’t wrestled since and has been using the time off to charge herself up for the title bout in between her visits to the dentist.

This is where TJPW is different from a lot of other pro wrestling companies. Normally an injury like this is ripe to build up heat and maybe even lead to a revenge angle at the end of the match as a payoff. But TJPW is not that kind of wrestling promotion. As Misao explained with a tweet after the match, inflicting injuries is not a badge of honour here. This also isn’t the place to where wrestlers are motivated to take an eye for an eye (or a tooth for a tooth). With that being said I bet it will feel pretty sweet for Uehara if she can pin Misao with a Jackknife Pin for the three count again, this time to win the tag titles. It’s a pair of belts that have evaded Kamifuku for as long as both have existed in wrestling.


9. Princess Of Princess Title: Mizuki (c) Vs Miu Watanabe

Something that TJPW’s 2025 should be remembered for is the story arc of Mizuki Vs Miu Watanabe. It’s been a tale of princesses and monsters often with the roles being merged together. When the year began, Watanabe was the Princess Of Princess Champion who became so dominant that she was accused of becoming the kind of monster she had to beat to win the prize in the first place. Then on 4th January Mizuki entered the story as the hero slaying the “Monster” to win the title as the true “Princess” she is. As the months progressed, Mizuki held onto the belt with two title defences in Ota Ward along with a successful defence in Las Vegas inbetween. While all of that was going on for the rabbit, the monster had to lick her wounds and go find the princess she knew was inside of her. That journey of discovery took place over the summer where Watanabe won the Tokyo Princess Cup, a tournament that slipped through her fingers three years earlier. With that hole in her heart finally patched up, Watanabe found her glow up and is now ready to have the title rematch with Mizuki. Some hints have been dropped along the way from Mizuki noticing her opponent becoming more Cinderella-like to Watanabe literally tripping out of her shoe and leaving it behind while she was exiting an interview. Just like how some bedtime stories go, it will take a magical Tear Drop to turn the monster into a princess so she can live happily ever after. Hang on, isn’t Mizuki supposed to be the princess in this story? She’s not going to give up that cushy gig without a fight!

A knee injury has prevented Jada Stone from travelling to Japan so she is no longer able to appear at “WRESTLE PRINCESS VI”. A new opponent is needed for Arisu Endo so she will now face Priscilla Kelly in the match with the vacant International Princess Title on the line. Pom Harajuku has been taken out of the Battle Royal to become Rika Tatsumi’s new opponent. That match will also have special rules applied which will be announced as soon as they are determined.

I don’t know if I can get a preview of the show completed before Saturday. I’ve been feeling under the weather lately which stopped me from writing one. One might be posted on Friday night but don’t take that as a promise.

Earlier today a press conference was held at Abema Towers in Shibuya to promote the three title matches happening at “WRESTLE PRINCESS VI”. For the Princess Of Princess Title match Miu Watanabe told her story of being the champion until 4th January this year when Mizuki beat her for it. Now eight months later she gets the chance to take the title back from her. During those eight months she’s been waiting to take the lead of Tokyo Joshi Pro again and tell everyone she is a princess. She respects Mizuki as a princess because you won’t find anyone as kind, strong, beautiful and gentle as her. She is a pro princess! But princesses are always looking for their true love and true love for “Miu Cinderella” is the Princess Title!

Mizuki admits to being incredible scared of having to fight Watanabe again but she is also excited by it. It will also be Mizuki’s third title defence in Ota Ward Gymnasium. She credits her previous challengers Miyu Yamashita, Rika Tatsumi and Yuki Arai for putting her in this position because she couldn’t have accomplished this alone. She is curious to see where the story of Miu Cinderella will go but she wants to continue telling her own story as the pro princess too. Watanabe then joked that Mizuki is always talking to birds behind the scenes because princesses are friends to animals.

Ober Eats have their motivations for becoming the Princess Tag Team Champions. Even though Wakana Uehara lost some teeth from wrestling Hyper Misao last weekend, she is using the recovery time to recharge so her mental strength will be incredibly strong for the title match. She promised to make up for it by taking the belts from Kyoraku Kyomei! Her partner Yuki Kamifuku said the tag titles were created shortly after she debuted but she was never able to win them. She thinks her vibe is different from Uehara’s but she wants to work hard for her so both of them can become champions after failing to win them so many times with other partners.

The champions can tell their opponents have changed since the first title match in Las Vegas. Shoko Nakajima wants them to grow even more before the rematch. She thinks it is fate that she and Kamifuku will be fighting each other in Texas this weekend with the MLW Women’s World Featherweight Title on the line. The height difference between the two is the largest in TJPW and Nakajima thinks there is always something new for them to discover when they wrestle each other. When Kyoraku Kyomei defend the belts again, she is going to ask Kamifuku to become her personal English teacher for a year and also get Uehara to teach her how to eat a lot. Misao is focused on breaking the record for most Princess Tag Title defences currently held by The Magical Sugar Rabbits. There are more challengers appearing over the horizon and she can sense the momentum Ober Eats are on. If there is one thing Misao has learned in her ten years of being a wrestler, it is the thick-skinned ones always win. Nakajima then told Uehara that if she can’t bite a kaiju then she can’t win this match!

The contract for the International Princess Title match has not been fully signed until Jada Stone arrives in Japan. She will sign the contract when she does arrive there. Her opponent Arisu Endo attended the press conference and talked about having the best summer ever because of her performance in the Tokyo Princess Cup. However she was still disappointed because she was the runner up despite working so hard by herself. She is now determined to grab this chance to become the new IP Champion. She praised Stone for her incredible athleticism and power. Endo wants to use her own style without losing any rhythm to beat her. She also feels lucky because it will be her second chance at winning this championship in Ota Ward this year.

Endo is coming off of fighting in the Tokyo Princess Cup final while Stone has twice fought for the IP Title this year, both times against Endo’s partner Suzume when she was the champion.

If Mizuki gets to have her way then the entire summer is going to belong to her. She got one step closer to achieving that goal by successfully defending the Princess Of Princess Title today and cutting down the rising star Yuki Arai in the process. Arai relied heavily on Big Boots and similar attacks while Mizuki fired back in kind with Diving Stomps and heavy Dropkicks that resemble those kinds of stomps. Arai switched to putting Mizuki in the Scorpion Death Lock and even tried catching Mizuki’s arm to stop her from reaching the ropes. But Mizuki would rope break out of it and block the Finally to hit a Run-Up Double Stomp. From there Mizuki did the Whirling Candy for a two count. Arai was spent but kept trying to fight back until Mizuki caught her with the Cutie Special, hit her with a Missile Dropkick and drop her with another Cutie Special to win the match.

After the match Mizuki stuck her hand out to help Arai get back up and the two hugged. Arai left the ring and Mizuki thanked the fans for coming to the show as well as the fans who watched the stream from home. She said Arai is tough like Superman and by fighting her she could feel how amazing she is. The baton was passed through everyone in Tokyo Joshi Pro today from the very first match to the main event and Mizuki was happy to run with it at the end. If Arai is Superman, Mizuki is the Princess Of Princesses and she next wants to go win the Tokyo Princess Cup as the reigning Princess Champion! Arai admitted she kind of knew Mizuki was too high of a hurdle for her today. As much as she wanted to win the Princess Title her first time challenging for the belt made her realize she still can’t reach it yet. She also knows this wasn’t a once in a lifetime chance and she has time to become someone good enough to wear the belt around her waist someday. When that day comes she will challenge with confidence and would be happy if it’s Mizuki she has to beat to become champion.

Turns out it’s going to take more than just sasumata poles to take the Princess Tag Team Titles away from Kyoraku Kyomei! For the last month Daydream have been using sasumatas to torture the champions and get into their heads. Hyper Misao’s first counter measure was to promise she wouldn’t use her Hero Spray in the match and place it down on the mat. She then pulled out a second can and immediately sprayed Daydream with it. When the fight went around ringside Miu Watanabe used the sasumata to hook onto Shoko Nakajima and carry her up high before throwing her down to the floor. She and Rika Tatsumi also used the poles to swing and spin their opponents around in the ring. Misao then had to bring out her second counter measure, the Hyper Mobile! She ended up crashing it into Mahiro Kiryu but then Kyoraku Kyomei and Daydream charged into each other like it was a joust! Both teams wiped each other out so it was all even when the action moved back into the ring. Daydream tried to both do top rope moves on seperate corners but Kyoraku Kyomei countered it with their own Avalanche moves. Daydream did the Daydream Eternity on Nakajima by Misao broke the count at two. Nakajima then countered Watanabe’s Tear Drop into a Hurricanrana and did the Northern Lights Suplex only for Tatsumi to break the pin. The champions then got the upper hand when Nakajima gave Watanabe the Double Arm DDT while Misao used Vanitas on Tatsumi. That left the coast clear for Nakajima to climb the top turnbuckle and hit the Diving Senton on Watanabe for the win. Nakajima was worried the match would end in a time limit draw but she thinks her strength was the difference maker that pushed Kyoraku Kyomei towards victory. Tatsumi is disappointed that Daydream couldn’t win but she at least thinks her and Watanabe showed how good they would look as models advertising the sasumata poles.

There was one title change on the show and it came when Moka Miyamoto defeated Suzume for the International Princess Championship! Suzume added a rope walk Flying Facecrusher to her moveset and followed it up with the low range Ring A Bell. But when she jumped from the ropes to do the Spring Ring A Bell, Miyamoto dodged it and connected with the Zero Fighter Kick. Suzume was helpless from there and got pinned with the Korokan afterward for the title change. Miyamoto happily cried over winning her first championship especially because it happened two days before the 5th anniversary of her debut match. She is also pleased that the move she originally created for her first title challenge was what won her the match today. She is now looking forward to defending the title against foreign challengers so she can show them Japanese pro wrestling. Suzume is sad to see her title reign stop here when she feels like she is at her strongest. But having the title expanded her world and the reason she won it is because everyone believed in her. She knows she will bounce back from this and not miss out on the hot summer ahead.

The return of Billie Starkz to Japan also meant the return of the big move heavy style of wrestling you’d see on the American indies. Miyu Yamashita was happy to fight that way too even if she ends up getting a bit of a headache from it afterwards. At one point Starkz lifted her up at ringside and did a running Alabama Slam into the ring apron that saw Yamashita almost smack her head off of the edge. Yamashita returned the favour by giving Starkz the Attitude Adjustment from the ring apron to the floor. Back in the ring Starkz started getting frustrated when a Swanton Bomb and Tombstone Piledriver would not put Yamashita away. She then tried lifting her up for the Sugoi Driver but Yamashita slipped off behind her and applied a Sleeper Hold. Starkz used the Alabama Slam again to throw Yamashita into the corner and went for another Sugoi Driver but it was countered into a Victory Roll that led to Yamashita German Suplexing Starkz into the turnbuckles! Yamashita then hit the Crash Rabbit Heat in the middle of the ring to pin Starkz for the three count. Backstage Yamashita said today was the first time in three months she’s been in a TJPW ring and in that time she spent a lot of her tour with Starkz. She’s amazed at what Starkz has accomplished while only being 20 years old and enjoys fighting her, even when she does some crazy unexpected things. She wants Starkz to wrestle in TJPW again and suggested they even team up here. Starkz calls Yamashita one of her best opponents. Also as much as she was happy to wrestle on TJPW’s Dallas show, she said nothing can replace the feeling of wrestling on a TJPW show in Japan.

A lot of effort went into the entrances for the intergender tag match. TeaDK walked out dressed like royalty and being accompanied by servants. Meanwhile Maki Itoh made sure El Desperado got the full NEO Itoh Respect Army experience when the two of them danced to “Setsunairo”! Things went badly for TeaDK from the start. Desperado caught a Big Boot from Chris Brookes and threw his foot right into Emi Sakura’s face, causing her to get a nose bleed. Then Desperado and Brookes fought all the way up to the second floor to do the stretched rubber band spot on Itoh back in the ring. Brookes then introduced Itoh to Bunbun and the puppet gave her the middle finger. Itoh grabbed Bunbun and threw him out of the ring in response. Sakura was able to put Desperado in the Romero Special but Brookes used a Piledriver to get rid of him. Sakura then beat down Itoh with a Double Arm Backbreaker and Short-Range Lariat. Itoh showed resistance by sticking up her middle finger but Sakura then finished her off with the Queen’s Gambit to pin her. Backstage Sakura said the NEO Itoh Respect Army put 100% into their entrance but when the bell rang they didn’t give it their all. She also said Brookes didn’t do his share of the work either so this win was all entirely thanks to herself! Itoh praised Despy for the entrance and called him a great idol along with being a great IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion. She is now thinking of uniting all of the NEO Itoh Respect Army together so they can release a debut CD together.

Everyone had to watch their backs for the 3 Way Tag Match. Arisu Endo and Haru Kazashiro started off the match exchanging chain holds until Yuki Kamifuku eye raked the both of them. She then called VENY in so VENYU could work over Kazashiro until Endo & Jada Stone took control. Kazashiro continued taking the brunt of the attacks until she could tag in Yuki Aino. VENY got time in the ring with Stone and Kazashiro that ended with a triple down and tags to their partners. The two members of the Tokyo Joshi Tokusatsu Club then turned it up a notch with Aino giving Stone & Endo a Double Side Suplex. Things broke down with VENY doing a Moonsault onto Stone outside the ring while Kamifuku tried to finish off whoever she could find. But Kazashiro came in to give her the Fisherman Suplex. That left Aino in the ring with Endo. Aino countered the Ju no Okite into a Running Bulldog and then used the UBV on Endo to pin her. Kazashiro said this was her first 3 Way Tag match and she didn’t know what to do during the chaos. Aino praised the other teams for being strong and admitted some luck went their way. But they’re going to use this positive power to do more. VENYU were annoyed because they thought this was going to be an easy win. VENY is also noticing the last few times she’s been teaming with Kamifuku they’ve been losing. She doesn’t get invited to TJPW much so when she does she wants to get a belt! Kamifuku told her they can go to Ginza if she wants to look for a new belt.

Some new looks were on display for the 8-Woman Tag Match. Kaya Toribami and Chika Nanase had new costumes while Toga wore a fancy pair of sunglasses that look similar to the ones Kira Summer wears. Yuna Manase showed up with a new title belt to go along with the Kitsune World Title. Yesterday she won the Daily Sports Tag Team Title over at a PURE-J show. She accidentally dropped that belt to the floor during her ring entrance. Mahiro Kiryu’s once per match apology was her saying sorry for bringing a hot woman like Manase here when it’s already so hot every day. The match came down to Nanase lifting up Wakana Uehara into the Inari Torii Kai only for Mifu Ashida to kick her from behind. Uehara later jumped onto Nanase and rolled her into the Bannana Pillow to make her give up. Toga said her team had a good mix of power and flexibility to win. The wrestlers with power made up for those who didn’t have any and it went the other way with flexibility. Toga & Uehara were also happy to wrestle Manase who had already graduated from TJPW years before they debuted. They were able to show her some of TJPW’s new faces that have popped up while she was gone. Manase thought she had gotten stronger after winning another championship yesterday but she wasn’t able to help her teammates today. She learned she will still have to become even stronger.

Pom Harajuku showed up with her face painted to match Kyoko Inoue’s design but when it was time for their tag match to begin, their opponents decided to take a nap in the ring. Harajuku convinced Inoue they should go straight for the pin but Raku rolled the both of them on top of Andreza Giant Panda for a nearfall. Raku & Andreza then piled themselves on top of them for another nearfall. Inoue was then put to sleep by the power of Raku’s eyemask and lullaby but Harajuku woke her up by screaming. Inoue tried attacking Andreza with Mongolion Chops but Andreza knocked her back with his own version of the move as well as a Spinning Back Fist. Andreza also swatted Harajuku away at points but she was able to knock him down with a Missile Dropkick to the back. Raku gave Inoue a Russian Leg Sweep with an assist from Andreza pushing them over. Andreza then knocked out Harajuku with a Headbutt and pinned her with the Andreza Press. Raku said her team spent most of the day sleeping which is why they were able to win. Andreza’s handler Ossan Tiger agreed because Andreza slept for more than 10 hours, the perfect amount. Harajuku was upset not because she lost but because Inoue wasn’t looking when she was doing her best. Next time she will show Inoue just how cool she is.

The rookie Ren Konatsu got to be on the winning side of a tag team match for the first time. She has HIMAWARI to thank for that. Konatsu was taken out by Shino Suzuki late in the match leaving HIMAWARI to fight Uta Takami. She broke out of the Koala Clutch to give Takami the Princess Drop. Then after that she pinned Takami with the Sunflower Tempest. HIMAWARI was happy to be in the opening match at Ota Ward Gymnasium again because she wanted to make up for losing the opening match at “GRAND PRINCESS ’25” back in March. She also wanted to lead Konatsu for her first big event match of her career. Konatsu only just debuted but she said she has a strong desire to liven things up. Takami is disappointed she lost but appreciates getting to experience all kinds of emotions like happiness, frustration and fun! She hopes some day she will go on a bus tour across Japan with Suzuki for a wrestling trip together.

Welcome to the middle point of the year and the second of three visits to Ota Ward Gymnasium in 2025. As we enter part two in this trilogy of big venue events for Tokyo Joshi Pro this year I’m trying to figure out if a three act story can be pieced together in regards to the company’s top champion. It’s either going to be that or the inauguration of their next ace. A successful tour of Texas earlier this month has provided a gust of momentum for TJPW going into the show and perhaps even a fresh group of eyes looking towards the event, at least internationally. On the undercard a lot of the wrestlers are focusing on the upcoming Tokyo Princess Cup. Even a few of the champions have set up goals to win the tournament while holding their titles. That’s if they make it out of Ota Ward with the belt still in their hands of course. Then once the Cup is done with the road will take TJPW back here for “WRESTLE PRINCESS VI” in September. Now let’s see if this really is going to be Act II of a year long story.

1. HIMAWARI & Ren Konatsu Vs Shino Suzuki & Uta Takami

I don’t know what it is about the new rookie but whenever I look into Ren Konatsu’s eyes I see the crazy vibes of MAO hiding deep in there somewhere. This is way, way down the line by the way because she hasn’t even entered her third month as a pro wrestler yet. All I’m saying is it only takes the little sheep toy clipped to her belt to start whispering ideas into her head and next thing you know she’s using her opponents to smash plastic boxes into pieces. If the sheep suddenly gets replaced with a Labubu then we’re really going to see some trouble down the line.

I thought TJPW had something going on for HIMAWARI and Shino Suzuki by making them team up every now and then going back to the previous Ota Ward show. Instead they are going to be opponents here. HIMAWARI is teaming with Konatsu and is the only one in this match who qualified for the Princess Cup. Suzuki’s failure to get past the prelimary rounds may become a pivotal point in her career because she is now seeing how little progress she’s been making in her three years as a wrestler. Uta Takami meanwhile has her whole future ahead of her and had a big role on this year’s “HYPE!” show. Maybe she’s the one I should be worried about possibly turning crazy instead of Konatsu.

2. Andreza Giant Panda & Raku Vs Kyoko Inoue & Pom Harajuku

A potential monster bout ended up changing its plans but in doing so brings in a brand new joshi legend into the TJPW ring for the first time. Max The Impaler was supposed to return to Japan so they could team up with Pom Harajuku again. Unfortunately according to TJPW Max has health issues preventing them from being able to travel for the show so that put a stop to Pompaler getting back together for now. Harajuku’s new tag partner is the fearsome and face painted Kyoko Inoue! I wonder if United Japan Pro Wrestling is the reason why we’re getting this appearance? Inoue is the founder and current president of World Woman Pro-Wrestling Diana based in Kanagawa. The joshi group recently joined UJPW as a supporting member and TJPW is already a member so the connection is there to be made.

There might be a jealous Up Up Girl in the locker room once Inoue is in the ring because one of the highlights of her classic matches was always the Giant Swing. Will she be the one to do it to Andreza Giant Panda? The last time Andreza showed up in TJPW he went viral for getting bonked over the head with a Pico Pico Hammer. This place is starting to get too dangerous for him. For Raku though she’s been living a dream ever since her last visit to Ota Ward. Back in March she beat Harajuku to win the SETUP All Asia Women’s Title, her first proper championship reign. While she no longer holds the belt things are just going swimmingly for her lately. This match is just going to be another trip inside her sleepy wonderland. Maybe she’ll bring the Buc-ee toy she bought in Texas with her for Andreza to play with.

3. Yuna Manase, Mahiro Kiryu, Kaya Toribami & Chika Nanase Vs Wakana Uehara, Toga, Mifu Ashida & Kira Summer

Time to throw a mixture of women into the ring, shake it back and forth and see who comes out of it the last ones standing. Yuna Manase pays another visit to TJPW. While she’s been rocking the Ganbare☆Joshi division over in Ganbare☆Pro in Japan, she’s also been flying the flag for Kitsune over in America as their top champion. Mahiro Kiryu was settling into a new tag team with Haruna Neko until Neko got injured yet again so she’s sort of just been floating around at the moment. Kaya Toribami finally had something of a level up by getting to challenge for the MLW Women’s Featherweight Title last month and putting in a pretty good performance. She also has a new costume ready to debut for this show so maybe things are looking up for the bird. Chika Nanase is starting to move up into the next phase of her young career. Where she goes from here is anyone’s guess.

Over on the other team Wakana Uehara is progressing at a nice pace. She has a named tag team as part of Ober Eats, got to challenge for a championship and at this point is pretty much guaranteed to be part of the crew for every USA tour. As long as she keeps her appetite, I see good things coming for her in the future. The times Toga has mostly been standing out lately is from whenever she gets to play an ikemen role of some sort. In regular matches though she’s had a few setbacks lately. Mifu Ashida’s win-loss record since coming here hasn’t been great either. She’s been a bit busy doing other things lately but a time like now is always a good place to start turning things around. Kira Summer has been seeing the growth of women’s wrestling in Asia and Australia this year. It is motivating her to join in and play her part in helping it grow even more.

4. 3 Way Tag Match: Yuki Kamifuku & VENY Vs Yuki Aino & Haru Kazashiro Vs Arisu Endo & Jada Stone

Ober Eats is one of the new teams to appear on the scene this year but Yuki Kamifuku is going back to one of her favorite choices in her wardrobe. She is bringing VENY back so VENYU can team up together again! VENY has spent the year ruling over SEAdLINNNG with a five month reign as Beyond The Sea Champion. Once that title run came to an end she’s been going from place to place in the joshi scene with TJPW becoming her next brief stop. Yuki Aino is fresh off of coming out as the main character of this year’s “HYPE!” show. The lesson she learned coming out of it is she will never be alone in TJPW and that might finally be what leads her out of the maze she’s been stuck in ever since her sister Nodoka Tenma graduated. I’m probably going to be writing that opinion again and again until the end of time.

Aino will be teaming with Haru Kazashiro who continues to grow into a future high card player for the promotion. Once she gets her final year of high school out of the way, the sky’s the limit for how far she will go in the ring. She is already developing the ring smarts to gradually figure out how to perfect the Fisherman Suplex but a 3 Way Tag Match like this is probably too chaotic an environment to show that off. The third team is a fitting mixture of pep and spark. Arisu Endo has been taking a back seat for her Daisy Monkey’s partners success. She hasn’t been letting that dampen her spirits. Jada Stone is now well accustomed to TJPW but it looks like she has a new place to call home. She was recently offered a contract by TNA so I’m not sure if she will continue to do tours here. If this is close to the end then she’s certainly made good use of her time in TJPW.

5. Special Tag Match: El Desperado & Maki Itoh Vs Chris Brookes & Emi Sakura

Are there as many wrestlers out there who are currently living out their dreams like El Desperado has? He gets to fulfill his most violent desires by having several deathmatches with Jun Kasai, pals around with the likes of MAO and Chris Brookes especially when it comes to the more sleazy indies style of wrestling. There’s nobody else in New Japan who is quite as in sync with the current wrestling scene than good ol’ Despy. Now he gets to tick off another line in his bucket list by getting to team with Maki Itoh! The two got to know each other in America two years ago when they were both booked on the same GCW show. The idea was thrown around for them to team up. Now that it’s happening it finally occurred to Despy that he has to learn Itoh’s song and dance in order to be accepted into the Itoh Respect Army. Rehersals so far have not been promising. Brookes was at least able to pull the dance off so the current IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion has no excuse. Come on man you used to carry a guitar around. Surely you can carry a tune too?

TJPW brought Despy & Itoh together because they needed a poison pairing that could match the same level as TeaDK. Brookes & Emi Sakura teamed up in TJPW last March for “GRAND PRINCESS ’24” and it didn’t go according to plan for them. They lost to The Magical Sugar Rabbits and blamed each other over the result. Time healed those wounds so they are teaming up again to give TJPW another go. Sakura has had several matches with Sakura over the years, most of them in an AEW ring. Thankfully they haven’t needed to staple each other over and over like Brookes and Despy do whenever they fight. Oh God, don’t let Itoh arm herself with a stapler!

6. Special Single Match: Miyu Yamashita Vs Billie Starkz

One of Miyu Yamashita’s toughest rivals on her excursions to America is Billie Starkz. When it comes to their previous matches Starkz has beaten Yamashita more than the other way around. It’s a friendly rivalry though and the two of them even had something of a good tag team going on during Yamashita’s recent stay in GCW. So when Yamashita heard that Starkz would love nothing more than to wrestle in Japan again she got TJPW to set this match up.

So yeah, that’s pretty much it. Not a lot of story to set this up and it remains to be seen if this is just a one off attraction match to have for the big show. Yamashita only has one championship left to win in TJPW to have achieved every single accomplishment available to her. If anything her winning this match would be done to establish her as the favorite for the Princess Cup. A win for Starkz here though should be followed up on. A younger wrestler beating Yamashita in her home promotion is worth a title shot of some sort down the line. We don’t really need to worry about locker room politics either because it’s become pretty clear recently that Yamashita has some sort of deal in place with AEW/ROH.

7. International Princess Title: Suzume (c) Vs Moka Miyamoto

Now we get into the big three matches of the show. The three championships are all currently on a reliable group of wrestlers so where the belts go from here is a good question to think about. If Suzume was to lose the International Princess Title here she would have left a good mark as champion. Her reign has been a little bit different than the others thanks to a pair of defences against Jada Stone, one in Japan and the rematch in America. It’s unusual for someone to defend a Princess Title against the same challenger twice in one reign. It’s also not that common for the IP Champion to defend the belt overseas when that’s meant to be the whole bloody point of it! When it’s all said and done, Suzume will have a good argument towards having one of the more defining runs as IP Champion. She’s already said she feels like she has evolved from a bee into a hornet because of this title. Her ultimate goal is to become queen bee of TJPW!

Her challenger Moka Miyamoto has also become attached to the belt but it’s becoming for a pretty bad reason. This is going to be her third time challenging for the IP Title after failing to win it twice before. It is the title she wants most because she believes having an international championship is the best way for her to spread Japanese culture across the world. Part of that culture is Japan’s technology and Miyamoto thinks there has to be some kind of Japanese technology out there that is good for getting rid of hornets! The two traded wins with each other during the Texas tour so it’s all even going into Ota Ward.

8. Princess Tag Team Titles: Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao (c) Vs Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe

Okay where do sasumata poles stand on the police brutality scale because they’re going to be mentioned a lot in this part of the preview and the girls have already used them to literally crucify Tetsuya Koda. The existence of these things have been the blight of Kyoraku Kyomei’s last couple of weeks. Other than that things are going great for the Princess Tag Team Champions. The big kaiju Shoko Nakajima was let loose in MLW and she quickly acquired the MLW Women’s Title. Meanwhile Hyper Misao lived through the stress of putting together the third annual “HYPE!” show and came out of it in one piece. They were looking forward to their next crazy adventure with the Princess Tag Titles but weren’t ready for how it would be set up.

One year ago the headline match of “SUMMER SUN PRINCESS ’24” was the battle of Daydream between Rika Tatsumi and Miu Watanabe. In the aftermath the two appeared to have gone their separate ways and they went almost a year without teaming up again. That was until a month ago when Daydream reunited and ambushed Kyoraku Kyomei with sasumata poles, demanding a title shot. The champions agreed to the match because Daydream are the kind of strong team they’re looking to beat. Ever since then Tatsumi & Watanabe have been attacking Nakajima & Misao with sasumata poles in their preview matches. Kyoraku Kyomei reached their breaking point over it and stole the sasumatas away from their challengers. They then tried to properly recycle them under the watchful eye of GM Koda until Daydream appeared to try and take their weapons back by force. That led to Nakajima & Misao taping the poles to Koda like a crucifix but Daydream were able to take him back too. Now that the weapons are back in the challengers’ hands they have the advantage going into the title match. Will the champs decided to fight fire with fire or will they have something else under their sleeves to foil Daydream’s plan?

9. Princess Of Princess Title: Mizuki (c) Vs Yuki Arai

This is going one of two ways. Either we are firmly in Mizuki’s era as the dominant Princess Of Princess Champion where she will headline all of the Ota Ward shows or TJPW decides now is the time to crown Yuki Arai as their new top draw. Mizuki has already toppled Watanabe (to win the belt), Tatsumi and Yamashita (the two defences) in this title reign. If she beats Arai here I see her holding onto the belt for a long time to come so she can have her definitive main event run in the promotion. Arai meanwhile made the choice to go all in on having pro wrestling be her career so while she has all the time in the world to achieve the final piece of the TJPW Grand Slam, I wouldn’t be shocked to see the company strike now while the iron is hot.

History doesn’t paint a clear picture for how this is going to go. Arai won the Princess Tag Titles on her first try and Mizuki was one of the champions back then. Arai was involved with the finish but it was Saki Akai who pinned Mizuki for the victory. When it comes to the International Princess Title however Arai failed to win it twice before becoming champion on her third attempt (hey, that’s a good sign for Miyamoto). This main event is her first time fighting for the Princess Of Princess Title. Only a select few have held the title and none were ever able to beat the champion on their first try. But that’s just the kind of record a wrestler booked like Arai would go on to break, right? After all, this is the idol who only needed one Finally Axe Kick to beat the unstoppable Max The Impaler and earned an endorsement from Meiko Satomura. She’s been groomed since day one to become the promotion’s next ace and her quick success is evidence of it.

Arai is not taking this moment for granted. It’s her first big match since graduating from SKE48. When she juggled her idol career with her wrestling career she felt like she wasn’t as good as everyone else in TJPW. But now that she’s fully focused on just wrestling she is eager to go challenge all of her seniors and eventually take the lead of the promotion. Mizuki has a goal in mind to win the Princess Cup while she holds the Princess Title. She has already proved that princesses are stronger than monsters. But are they stronger than successful pop singers?
