6. Oyodo Specialty! I Came Here To Osaka Many Times To Know Its Dialect Special Tag Match: HARASHIMA & Akito defeated Daisuke Sasaki & Mad Paulie by Referee Stoppage when HARASHIMA choked out Sasaki with a Modified Sleeper (16:25).
7. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Masakatsu Funaki & Yukio Sakaguchi defeated Konosuke Takeshita & Mike Bailey (c) when Funaki pinned Bailey with the Hybrid Blaster (14:43).
*Konosuke Takeshita & Mike Bailey fail in V2. Masakatsu Funaki & Yukio Sakaguchi become the 59th KO-D Tag Team Champions.

Looks like Masakatsu Funaki will be sticking around for a while because he is now a KO-D Tag Team Champion! Funaki drilled Mike Bailey’s head into the canvas with the Hybrid Blaster to cause the title change. Yukio Sakaguchi’s victory speech was cut off when HARASHIMA & Akito entered the ring. Akito reminded Sakaguchi that he beat him by submission yesterday. He asked how humiliating must it have been? Sakaguchi tried to brush his comments off but Akito then said that there’s no way the pain he caused to Sakaguchi’s legs have already gone away. Sakaguchi said that liquor is his medicine. He then wanted to know if Akito was here to challenge him. Well there’s no need as Sakaguchi nominated him and HARASHIMA as the No. 1 Contenders anyway. When Smile Squash were sent away, Funaki told a story about meeting Sakaguchi’s father Seiji Sakaguchi at a New Japan training camp when he was around 16 years old. He did not think he would be winning championships with Seiji’s son 32 years later.

HARASHIMA got a measure of revenge on Daisuke Sasaki for yesterday’s sneak attack. After he hit Sasaki with the Somato, HARASHIMA then applied a Sleeper Hold and choked out Sasaki to win. When Sasaki was revived backstage he asked if Candice LeRae saw what happened. Apparently she did. Sasaki then swore he will kill HARASHIMA!

At the start of the show Makoto Oishi had to be encouraged by Amon Tsurumi to have his match with Yoshihiro Takayama. Oishi was intimidated by the massive size difference and the result was never in doubt. Oishi was fighting back the tears as he thanked Takayama for the match backstage afterwards. Takayama tried to cheer him up by saying he showed No Fear.

Yasu Urano will get his AJPW Jr. Title match against Keisuke Ishii on 29th January. He was in such a good mood over this and his win today that he was full of praise for Ishii in his post-match promo. Urano said he would not mind if he had to wait for the title shot but the All Japan office gave their blessing for it to happen on the 29th. Urano promises a fair fight but Ishii doesn’t believe him.

Antonio Honda doesn’t feel bad about his age when he teams with Yuni. Honda’s 39 years old and Yuni is only 8. That makes their average age 23. Honda is now thinking up a team name for themselves.

There was a little bit of tension between Kazuki Hirara and Candice LeRae. Candice complained about Hirata’s dance entrance. However she was happy to dance herself once she put on the Hirata GO! glasses. During the dance Kazusada Higuchi Headbutted Hirata in time with the music. Candice then pinned Hirata with the Balls Plex.

Danshoku Dino Vs Yoshihiro Takayama was booked for Osaka Edion Arena #2 on 4th February.

7. DDT Extreme Title – Yokohama Chinatown TLC Match: Jun Kasai (c) defeated Makoto Oishi with the Vertical Drop Reverse Tiger Driver (17:55).
*V1 for Jun Kasai.

Bowls of Chinese food were placed in the corner for the Yokohama Chinatown TLC Match. The goal of the match was to either beat your opponent as normal or eat three bowls of Chinese food. Makoto Oishi offered a handshake before the match but Jun Kasai flipped him the middle finger. However he agreed to sit down and eat a bowl of noodles with Oishi before fighting. When they finished they began throwing punches. Oishi reached for a second bowl but Kasai stopped him by hitting him with a lady’s handbag at ringside. Oishi fought back with a chair until Kasai was too beat up to prevent him from finishing the second bowl. Oishi then used a ladder to target Kasai’s legs. He put Kasai in a Figure Four Leg Lock and tried to eat the third bowl at the same time. Kasai fought his way out and hit a Lariat followed by the Reverse Tiger Driver. Oishi kicked out of that and also kicked out of the Pearl Harbour Splash from the ladder! Kasai did one more Reverse Tiger Driver, the Vertical Drop kind and that was it for Oishi. Kasai called out for his next challenger. Doesn’t matter if it is a foreigner, a woman, a child or an animal. Out came Akito, he’s not afraid of Kasai. He asked the champion what his favourite match rules are. Kasai said Death Match. Akito suggested a Lighttube Death Match, but only one Lighttube. Whoever breaks it with their opponent wins. Kasai accepted and the match will take place on 3rd January.

Konosuke Takeshita describes Mad Paulie as somebody who has no feelings or even a human heart. However he noticed a glimpse of humanity coming from him during today’s match. Paulie cares about winning and losing if nothing else. Takeshita’s preparations for their Christmas Day singles match is to eat snacks instead of turkey.

HARASHIMA and Shigehiro Irie had to be pulled apart after Match #5.

DDT announced a return date to Nagano for 23rd April next year. As the sales manager for that region, Toru Owashi is in charge of running the show

Gouma Ryu was again in attendance to promote BASARA’s Christmas Day show at Korakuen Hall. However he forgot to bring tickets to sell at the merch table so he handed out business cards instead.

4a. Rematch: Yoshihiro Takayama & Kazusada Higuchi defeated Toru Owashi & Gota Ihashi when Takayama pinned Ihashi with the Running Knee Lift (6:02).
5. Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie defeated Yukio Sakaguchi & Masahiro Takanashi when Paulie pinned Takanashi with the Paulie Buster (12:03).
6. Prelude To A Healthy Television Match: Danshoku Dino, Keisuke Ishii & Guanchulo defeated Konosuke Takeshita, Mike Bailey & Antonio Honda when Dino pinned Honda with the Danshoku Driver (11:24).
7. Special Tag Match: HARASHIMA & Yasu Urano defeated Shigehiro Irie & Kouki Iwasaki when HARASHIMA pinned Iwasaki with the Somato (14:07).

Shigehiro Irie gave HARASHIMA a thumbs down after the main event. HARASHIMA called the match just a preview of what will happen on Christmas Day and he will win just like he did today.

Danshoku Dino & Keisuke Ishii now have to nothing to be afraid of after they beat a trio featuring the KO-D Tag Team Champions. Ishii thinks their odds of winning the titles tomorrow are at 80% and predicts they will win in 8 minutes. Mike Bailey did not like wrestling against Dino but not because Dino is gay, Bailey thinks Dino grabbing a woman in the ring the same way he did to him would be just as disgusting. Konosuke Takeshita ensured Bailey that he would fight Dino so Bailey could just fight Ishii.

Daisuke Sasaki gave Shuten-dōji one more warning that DAMNATION will destroy them at the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Title match tomorrow.

Gota Ihashi had his face painted to look like Don Frye so he could reenact the famous fight with Yoshihiro Takayama. He was immediately pinned after a Big Boot and the Pride FC victory music played over the sound system. A rematch took place and Takayama pinned Ihashi again this time with the Running Knee Lift.

Makoto Oishi knows that his win over Daisuke Sasaki and Soma Takao in the 3 Way Match was a fluke. However he needs all the confidence boost he can get to prepare for Jun Kasai. He will beat Kasai even if it is a fluke.

In a callback to their previous King Of Dark Title match, Saki Akai demanded that this time Cherry should be given the championship if she lost the pre-show match. Luckily for her, Nobuhiro Shimatani was pinned again so he stays as champion.

Makoto Oishi tried to help Danshoku Dino beat Jun Kasai in Osaka. That failed so now he’s taking matters into his own hands. He’s going to try and win back the DDT Extreme Title himself. But now that Kasai is champion, the match stipulations could become more violent. He did say he wants to dye the belt in “colour” and given how even the brush of a feather can make him bleed he’s going to fulfil his promise easily.

1. Tokyo Joshi Pro Offer Match: Miyu Yamashita & Rika Tatsumi defeated Shoko Nakajima & Maho Kurone when Tatsumi submitted Kurone with the Dragon Sleeper (9:50).
2. NωA Vs DDT Ramen & Ebisuko Allies: Makoto Oishi & MAO defeated Akito & Gota Ihashi when MAO pinned Ihashi with the Never Give Up☆Guillotine Drop (10:01).

Bad weather did little to dampen NωA’s excitement for this outdoor show. They performed their second single “Going My Way!!! ~You Are Not Alone~” to a live audience for the first time. Shunma Katsumata wrote the lyrics, MAO composed the music and Makoto Oishi planned the choreography. When the performance was over Oishi & MAO took part in a Falls Count Anywhere match against Akito & Gota Ihashi. Before the match began Ihashi asked Oishi why was he acting like an idol when he is old enough to be MAO’s uncle? He then made up some new lyrics making fun of NωA. That sparked a fight that went into the crowd before returning to the mat area. MAO hit his leap frog Never Give Up☆Guillotine Drop on Ihashi for the three count. NωA ended the show with an encore of “Going My Way!!! ~You Are Not Alone~”.

A day before Rika Tatsumi challenges for the TOKYO Princess Of Princess Title she scored a submission victory over the scary rookie Maho Kurone. Tatsumi appealed to the crowd to come see her win Tokyo Joshi Pro’s championship in Yokohama tomorrow.

6. UTAN Festa 2016 Special 6-Man Tag Team Match: HARASHIMA, Yoshihiro Takayama & Akito defeated Konosuke Takeshita, Antonio Honda & Mike Bailey when HARASHIMA pinned Honda with the Somato (15:20).

Antonio Honda is still taking time out during his matches to talk about foxes. This time it was done to distract his opponents so Konosuke Takeshita & Mike Bailey could attack when their guards dropped. The three of them wound up to do a Triple Bionic Elbow to HARASHIMA but hey were all cut off. HARASHIMA then led his team through a train attack on Honda ending with the match winning Somato. HARASHIMA said DDT will continue doing the Utan shows in Tokyo JR Omori Station for another 10, 20 and 30 years!

Makoto Oishi was able to beat Seiya Morohashi when Morohashi missed a Diving Headbutt. That gave Oishi the opening to do the Miracle Ecstasy and also a Frog Splash. Oishi called out the Battle Royal winner Chikara to make next year’s World Omori Title match official.

A wrestler impersonation contest was held during the show. Some of the contestants imitated wrestlers like Keiji Muto and Kazuchika Okada. There was even a woman who imitated Jiro Kuroshio. Chinsuke Nakamura made an entrance wearing a home made NXT Title belt. Munenori Sawa then made a surprise appearance to do a Pro Wres LOVE pose. The judges Tomomitsu Matsunaga and Sanshiro Takagi picked Chinsuke and Sawa as the winners.

7. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Daisuke Sasaki, Tetsuya Endo & Mad Polly (c) defeated Konosuke Takeshita, Antonio Honda & Mike Bailey when Sasaki submitted Honda with the Cross Facelock (20:15).
*V1 for DAMNATION.

DAMNATION’s good week continued with a successful KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Title defence. They singled out Antonio Honda but he fought back. Honda was ready to do a Diving Fist Drop to Daisuke Sasaki but Tetsuya Endo blocked him. Endo then gave Honda a top rope Frankensteiner and Sasaki locked in the Cross Facelock to make him submit. Sasaki said there is a conspiracy led by Amon Tsurumi to try and take away all of DAMNATION’s championships.

The Dai Ichin Pa-Lien Seiha is a series of matches with bizarre stipulations attached, often intended to make a mess. Today was the sixth time the match was held and it was a Soup Curry Death Match. Danshoku Dino defended the DDT Extreme Title against Sanshiro Takagi but Makoto Oishi and Kazuki Hirata were also involved. They later regretted it. Both were told to wear a diaper and were then given a small bottle to drink. They didn’t find out until afterwards that it was a laxative. The goal for Dino and Takagi was to win the match in 10 minutes before the laxative kicks in and the victims suffer from a loose explosion (not the YOSHI-HASHI kind). The winner would then get the antidote to give to their friend. Oishi tried to distract Takagi by singing “Never Give Up☆I Love You” but stomach cramps made it very difficult for him. Oishi won the match with two seconds to spare and Hirata sprinted to the nearest toilet. Oishi wasn’t so lucky and bowed to the audience in shame before leaving the ring alone. Nobody wanted to give any interviews after the match.

While they haven’t thrown out a challenge yet, Yoshihiro Takayama & Dick Togo are considering chasing after the KO-D Tag Team Titles. They might even invite Sanshiro Takagi over for a 6-Man Tag Title shot too.

Kouki Iwasaki took on a big challenge to prepare for the DNA Grand Prix. He had to fight Shuji Ishikawa! Iwasaki took his chances and jumped Ishikawa at the start of the match. He even took the fight out of the ring for a brawl. However a Lariat knocked him for a loop and he was finished off with the Fire Thunder Driver. Ishikawa noticed Iwasaki’s young ambition and eagerness to win.

Yuko Miyamoto wound up getting into dueling songs with Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi when they wrestled each other. When the main event ended in a time limit draw Makoto Oishi said today was the beginning of a change happening in BOYZ. With young wrestlers like Shunma Katsumata now competing in the main event it feels like there is a big bang occurring in the universe. Oishi thinks its wonderful he gets to see the big bang happening. Everyone then danced to “FANTASTIC BABY” by BIG BANG and “R.Y.U.S.E.I.” by Sandaime J Soul Brothers from Exile Tribe. Smile Squash and Shuten-dōji are the last teams to qualify for the 2nd round of the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles tournament. Smile Squash went over Happy Motels while Shuten-dōji defeated T2Hide after a planned ambush from T2Hide went sour. Kazuki Hirata did not appear with Sanshiro Takagi & Toru Owashi when they made their entrance. Takagi explained that Hirata got lost in Kobe so they will have to wrestle without him. Midway through the match Hirata’s music began to play and he rushed down to the ring to ambush his weakened opponents. Yukio Sakaguchi stopped him easily. A dance off only delayed the inevitable and Sakaguchi put an end to it with a Penalty Kick. Takagi apologised to Owashi for the plan’s failure putting his Right To Challenge contract at risk.

Makoto Oishi went into his match against Dick Togo with a special instruction from his manager Super Sasadango Machine. He wants Oishi to recruit Togo for the NωA. Oishi made Togo promise to join the idol group if Oishi could beat him. Togo was on the verge of winning when Daisuke Sasaki ran out and pushed him off the top rope. Oishi capitalised and pinned Togo for the upset. Togo reluctantly put on an NωA shirt and posed with his new bandmates. Togo got revenge on Sasaki later in the show when he attacked him during Sasaki’s tag match. Togo gave Sasaki the Pedigree and the Diving Senton while the referee was absent then placed Kouki Iwasaki on top of him for the pin. He then gave a Pedigree to the other NωA members. After Togo left the ring Oishi announced that “Togo-tan” had just graduated from NωA due to “various circumstances”. In a backstage interview Togo said the only NWA he knows is the one with Harley Race and Ric Flair in it.
