3. 3 Way Match: Mil Clown defeated Shoko Nakajima and Hyper Misao when Clown pinned Misao with the Mil Clutch α (5:35).
4. Marika Kobashi High School Exam Send-Off Match: Miyu Yamashita defeated Marika Kobashi with the Attitude Adjustment (11:30).
5. TOKYO Princess Of Princess Title: Yuu (c) defeated Rika Tatsumi with the Katahajime (15:15).
*V1 for Yuu.

Yuu’s first defence of the TOKYO Princess Of Princess Title was successful but proved to be more of a challenge than she thought. Rika Tatsumi had only begun to win matches consistently in the last couple of months, leading to her getting a crack at the title. However she came prepared with her own focus on submissions to combat Yuu’s judo ability. While Tatsumi threw some Hip Attacks to knock back Yuu, she also targeted her leg with Dropkicks and Dragon Screws so she could apply an effective Figure Four Leg Lock. Yuu resisted this and applied the Katahajime for the submission victory. Yuu said she was really happy with the match because it brings her one step closer to defending the title on 4th January, the one year anniversary of her debut match.

Miyu Yamashita defeated Marika Kobashi in Kobashi’s final match for the time being. Kobashi will now prepare for her high school entry exams. Yamashita said she originally thought Kobashi was too young when she first began training due to how tough it is. However she was proven wrong and she is happy to be part of Kobashi’s send off. She then advised Kobashi to concentrate on her exams because they are terribly hard. Kobashi hopes to return if she passes the exams.

There’s been a theme running through all of the DDT family throughout 2016 and it is marriage. A lot of wrestlers and staff members have been getting married or at least engaged this year. Azusa Takigawa has noticed this and also noticed the wrestlers who have gotten married have also become stronger as a result. She interrupted the opening speeches so she could plead with the Genral Manager Tetsuya Koda to drop the “No relationships” rule from Tokyo Joshi Pro. Takigawa wants to go out matchmaking so she can find a husband, get married and become stronger! Koda told her now wasn’t the time to talk about this. Later when Takigawa had her match with Nonoko, Takigawa was put in a Scorpion Deathlock. Instead of reaching for the ropes Takigawa instead reached for a microphone so she could again plead to Koda to drop the “no relationships” rule while she was in the Scorpion Deathlock! After the match Nonoko was impressed by Takigawa’s passion. Not for wrestling but for finding a husband. Nonoko said she was a teenager until just recently (yeah right!) and she never imagined wanting to go matchmaking at Takigawa’s age. She wants to help Takigawa and offered to team with her in the ring. Takigawa accepted, together they will find the truth of love!

Maki Itoh from the idol group LinQ announced she will be wrestling for DDT on 11th December and after that will debut for Tokyo Joshi on 4th January. She is thrilled by her plans to do both idol work and wrestling. She also said she has great respect for Danshoku Dino. It was then revealed that Itoh’s opponent on 4th January will by Miyu Yamashita. According to Yamashita she has been keeping a close eye on Itoh’s training ever since it began back in July. She noticed Itoh has been working very hard so she is happy to be her first opponent in Tokyo Joshi. She asked Itoh to come at her at full force when they wrestle.

The literal doll faced ring announcer and “World’s First Animated Idol Chick” Minami Momochi recently revealed she will be graduating from Tokyo Joshi Pro on 4th January next year. She said over the last three and a half years she watched Tokyo Joshi and their wrestlers grow. She feels now is the time for herself to move on if she too wants to advance.

Ken Ohka is feeling flustered after the Korakuen Hall seating chart for this show appeared on screen during Sunday’s DDT show revealing many unsold tickets. Ohka said Amon Tsurumi put that on the screen without his permission. Ohka has promised to retire if the show doesn’t sell out. Not only that but a lot of money was borrowed to put this show together. If that isn’t bad enough their T-shirt design for the occasion hasn’t been completed yet and the DVD team are too busy putting together a Ganbare Vs Tomodachi-gun release so they can’t immediately work on editing the Korakuen show as soon as it ends. Also Yumehito Imanari wants to put his match with Viper on the DVD even though that has nothing to do with the Tomodachi-gun feud.

Two changes to the Tokyo Joshi Pro roster has been announced. First, Marika Kobashi will be taking six months off from wrestling at the end of October. During that time she will finish her junior high school term and then prepare for her high school entrance exam. She is expected to return next spring, either March or April.

Secondly, Yuka Sakazaki will also take a leave of absence from Tokyo Joshi. Due to her recent performances she decided to travel to Magic Country and begin warrior training to become stronger. It is unknown how long this will take. In the meantime Yuka is sending her previously unacknowledged twin sister from Magic Country to take her place in Tokyo Joshi. Yuka’s sister is a masked luchadora named Mil Clown. She cannot speak any human language so she carries a teddy bear called Kumaun to talk on her behalf.

4. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1: Akane Miura defeated Nonoko with the Lariat (6:15).
5. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1: Hyper Misao defeated Miyu Yamashita with the I Am A Hero (11:05).

The big story coming out of the first round is Hyper Misao beating Miyu Yamashita in a massive upset. At one point during the match Misao was accidentally unmasked when she escaped from a Headlock. To show how serious she took the match, Misao refused to take the mask back and continued to wrestle with her face exposed. She kicked out of the Attitude Adjustment and got the surprise three count with a Diving Cross Body. Misao now faces KANNA in Round 2.

In another upset, Akane Miura defeated her tag team partner and first Tokyo Princess Cup winner Nonoko. The decisive moment of the match was Miura countering the Boinmaker with a Power Slam. A Lariat after that ended the match. Miura’s 2nd Round opponent is Rika Tatsumi.

For the fourth time in their short careers, Yuu and Nodoka Onee-san wrestled each other and for the fourth time Yuu won. Nodoka is upset that she is lagging so far behind in progress from Yuu and that she is constantly losing to her. Yuu faces Azusa Takigawa in Round 2.

Yuka Sakazaki will be against her Fighting Comedians tag partner Shoko Nakajima in the next round. Although she lost, Marika Kobashi thinks she is doing enough training necessary to be good. She thinks she just needs to become stronger.

Tokyo Joshi Pro with a little help from BASARA held two outdoor shows at Yokodai Station. There was also a wrestling exercise class held for children before both shows.

Since the show was in Kanagawa, Marika Kobashi got to headline both shows as the hometown girl. She said she became interested in wrestling when she saw a Big Japan show in a nearby shopping district. Today was a dream come true for her. Although she lost the main event in Part 1, she redeemed herself by getting a submission victory in Part 2.

The winner of every match received a box of goods from shops in the area. Nothing fancy, just stuff like boxes of bottled water, soda drinks or fruits and vegetables. Yusuke Kubo and Daichi Kazato had to share their prize of cola cans when they fought to a draw.

Nonoko was originally supposed to wrestle KANNA in Part 2 but was too ill to compete. Nodoka Onee-san took her place.

She also talked about her upcoming graduation from Tokyo Joshi on 2nd April. Because of her age she felt like a mother watching everybody in Tokyo Joshi grow into cute and energetic people with rich personalities.

Yuka Sakizaki requested for her match with Azusa Takigawa to be a Takoyaki Russian Roulette Death Match. Music would play during the match and when it stopped both girls would have to eat a takoyaki ball. The roulette came in the form of one of the balls being filled with wasabi. Sakizaki wound up eating the wasabi takoyaki. Takigawa grabbed a bottle of water to help her but was tricked into being pinned with a Backslide.

Rika Tatsumi refused to shake hands with Marika Kobashi at the start of their bout.

4. Nonoko & Ai Shimizu defeated Miyu Yamashita & Yuka Sakazaki when Nonoko pinned Shimizu with the Pai Fly Flow (11:49).

Nonoko got the pin on Yuka Sakazaki after Ai Shimizu hit the Triebflügel and Nonoko followed up with the Pai Fly Flow. Nonoko confronted Miyu Yamashita after the match and brought up an interview she gave from the last show. Nonoko remembered Yamashita saying anybody can challenge her for the TOKYO Princess Of Princess Title. Nonoko asked Yamashita if she remembers who won the first Tokyo Princess Cup or who was the wrestler she suffered her first defeat to? It was Nonoko and she wants a title shot! Yamashita accepted the challenge and said she is raring to defend the belt. Even though she lost today the belt won’t be leaving her side. Nonoko replied that she was the first person to beat her and she will also take her first championship too.

Saki Akamiya & Hyper Misao have spent the past few weeks under intensive training from Mitsuya Nagai. But their plan to destroy Snake World Joshi was almost ruined before it began when Poison Sawada JULIE poisoned Misao with his snake magic at the start of the show. Sanshiro Takagi came to the rescue and gave Misao the antidote. She recovered in time for Match #3 to begin. Misao tried to talk Poison Miura & Poison KANNA out of their poisoned state but it was too strong. However the hero team capitalised on a mistaken Lariat Miura gave to KANNA and Akamiya got the victory. Miura told Miura & KANNA that teamwork was where they could get real strength, not snake magic. She gave them the antidote and encouraged them to drink it. KANNA Speared Misao instead. She and Miura went back to Sawada who called their defeat a fluke. He demanded a singles match between Poison KANNA and Akamiya at the next show.

Although she was defeated in her first singles match, Marika Kobashi is learning from her experience. She’s thinking about gaining weight and muscles so her Machine Gun Shops can become stronger.

*Miyu Yamashita becomes the 1st Tokyo Princess Of Princess Champion!

Hours before Wrestle Kingdom took place, DDT’s joshi promotion had a show of their own nearby with their first event ever held inside Korakuen Hall. It’s also close enough to kind of count as the third anniversary of Tokyo Joshi Pro’s debut show. A lot of the roster debuted new wrestling gear for the occasion.

yamashita-wins-title

The newly named TOKYO Princess Of Princess Championship was on the line in the main event. Miyu Yamashita and Shoko Nakajima fought to become the first champion. Yamashita has been with Tokyo Joshi since the brand rebooted itself in 2013 after a failed soft launch that took place one year earlier. She had spent most of the last year trying to establish herself as the ace of the brand. Nakajima debuted six months after Yamashita. After spending the beginning of her career as a comedy wrestler she accomplished two big goals in 2014, winning the Tokyo Princess Cup and being the girl to break Saki Akai’s winning streak in the promotion. She came close to beating Yamashita with a European Clutch, 2nd Rope Senton and even her trust Northern Lights Suplex but it was not enough. Yamashita hit back with the Attitude Adjustment and Brazilian Kicks. Nakajima wouldn’t stay down until Yamashita hit the Crash Rabbit Heat to become the first champion! Yamashita admitted she was becoming jealous of Nakajima but that helped make her stronger. She is happy to have fought her in a match as special as this. She said their first show in Korakuen was a success and everyone wants to run the venue again and again until they can run bigger venues and become the biggest women’s wrestling company in Japan.

akamiya-poison

Trouble has been brewing between Saki Akamiya and Akane Miura. Saki Akai’s dark alter ego and her partner in crime Hyper Misao (is it a crime when a super hero is involved?) ended up picking a fight with Poison Sawada JULIE, causing JULIE to take Miura under his wing. Sawada and Akamiya had a confrontation on the entrance stage when the show began but Miura did not appear until it was time for their match. When she appeared she had transformed into Poison Miura! She copied Sawada’s snake magic poses, rattling noises included. Sawada used his magic to freeze Akamiya during the match. Hyper Misao tried to stop him but ultimately failed. Another snake magic spell stopped Akamiya from hitting her finisher and Miura put her down with a Rock Bottom and the Lariat. Sawada claimed victory over Akamiya and said he will remodel her. First, she will be renamed Poison Saki Akamiya!

tanaka-magic-mirror

All of a sudden the famous ring announcer Kero Tanaka entered the ring begging Sawada to stop! He knew that deep down inside Poison Sawada JULIE was the New Japan trainee he knew all those years ago, Atsuo Sawada. He then used a hand mirror to block Sawada’s spell from hitting Akamiya. Sawada stopped when he realised it was Tanaka. He warned that his goal is to transform Tokyo Joshi into Snake Joshi and then left with Miura. Tanaka told Akamiya that she cannot defeat Sawada’s snake magic in her current state and will need to undergo special training to become stronger.

Ai Shimizu seems to have adopted a ninja gimmick if her new costume and finishing move is anything to go by.

sakazaki-candice

Yuka Sakazaki did not know anything about Candice LeRae before their match but she literally brought out the big gun for her opponent. She carried a bazooka to the ring but the referee stopped her from using it. She and LeRae fought up to the stage where LeRae placed Sakazaki onto a pallet truck and pushed her into a pile of balloons. Back in the ring LeRae grabbed the win with the Ball Plex. She praised Tokyo Joshi for their training regime and thinks it will become a bigger company. Sakazaki is convinced she would have won if she got to use the bazooka.

kobashi-debut

Erin was ready to play the grumpy veteran role for Marika Kobashi’s debut match but it backfired when Kobashi trapped her in the corner and unleashed the Machine Gun Chops! There were loud “Kobashi!” chants for that moment. Her tag partner Rika Tatsumi was able to score a rare win at the end.

masao-nonoko-mizuho

The 3 Way Match got lewd at points. Hyper Misao felt like the odd girl out when Nonoko and MIZUHO fought a battle between tits and ass. Nonoko was the last one standing when she pinned both Misao and MIZUHO at the same time.

yu-taps-onesan

The opening match could not have paired two women more different than each other. Nodoka Onesan was dressed in colourful clothing and looked like someone out of a pre-school TV show. Yuu’s entrance began with the intro theme of Terminator 2 and switched to “Ikusa” by Wagakki Band. Save for a Suplex at the beginning, Onesan was outmatched and overpowered by Yu’s Judo ability. In the post-match interview Yu pointed out Yamashita and Nakajima as the seniors she most wants to beat.

joshi-trainee-class-16

Four more trainees introduced themselves at the beginning of the show. Yuki looks up to Cherry, Maho wants to follow in Akane Miura’s footsteps (probably without the snake magic stuff), Hinako just recently discovered pro wrestling and wants to try it out and Alice wants to be both a wrestler and an idol. They each passed an audition to find new rookies.

Chikage Kiba was in attendance and joined the others in the ring during the show closing speech. She currently has no plans to return to wrestling.
