1. Mirai Maiumi defeated Moka Miyamoto with a Chickenwing Armlock (6:34).
2. Rika Tatsumi, Miu Watanabe & Raku defeated Shoko Nakajima, Hyper Misao & Sena Shiori when Watanabe pinned Shiori with the Tear Drop (9:37).
3. Mizuki defeated Haruna Neko with the Facelock (6:52).
4. Yuka Sakazaki defeated Suzume with the Magical Merry-Go-Round (9:28).
5. Marika Kobashi Return Match: Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh defeated Marika Kobashi & Hikari Noa when Yamashita pinned Kobashi with the Scull Kick (11:07).
6. Princess Tag Team Titles Next Challenger Decision Battle: Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Aino defeated Pom Harajuku & Mahiro Kiryu when Tenma pinned Kiryu with the Killswitch (14:42).

The Bakuretsu Sisters said they fought like they were in a title match and that was what led them to victory today. They also praised Pom Harajuku for stepping in to be Mahiro Kiryu’s partner on short notice. Daydream accepted their next challengers and confirmed the Princess Tag Team Titles match will happen at “WRESTLE PRINCESS” on 7th November. Yuki Aino said they failed to win the titles back in January but they tried hard enough to get another chance. She’s been wrestling alone a lot lately so she is happy to team with her sister Nodoka Tenma again.

Marika Kobashi has a new look for her first match back in 1 year and 5 months. She is now a “Gal Wrestler” wearing black and orange leopard print gear. She has a definite goal in mind for the future but she didn’t want to say anything clear about it today.

Scull Kick is the deliberate spelling of Miyu Yamashita’s move.

Ladybeard’s Contract Ends, Idols Added To TIF Match, Takagi Vs Dieno, Abe’s Next Challenger

October 2, 2020

We have another contract expiration, this time it’s a DDT wrestler. Ladybeard finished up with DDT on 30th September and is now a freelancer. Ladybeard thanked the staff, wrestlers and fans for making great memories with them over the last 5 years. Ladybeard hadn’t wrestled with DDT since August 2018 anyway so this is just a formality.

6. Princess Tag Team Titles Next Challenger Decision Battle: Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Aino Vs Pom Harajuku & Mahiro Kiryu

There is a late change in tomorrow’s big match. Yuki Kamifuku broke the ring finger on her right hand and will not be able to wrestle for around three weeks. Under doctor’s recommendation she has pulled out of the main event. Kamifuku is aiming to return on 17th October. Mahiro Kiryu was going to remove herself from the match because of this but Kamifuku convinced her not to waste the opportunity she made for herself. Kiryu agreed and nominated Pom Harajuku to be her new tag partner. Both Daydream and The Bakuretsu Sisters gave their approval for the math to go ahead.

Marika Kobashi’s return match involves her former tag partner from the JK Strikers. However Miyu Yamashita is not on her team, instead they are against each other.

1. Yuka Sakazaki defeated Moka Miyamoto with a Sliding Lariat (7:51).
2. Three Loss Point System Irregular Win 3 Way Match ~ Autumn Big Athletic Meet: Hyper Misao defeated Miyu Yamashita and Pom Harajuku (6:19).
2a. Miyu Yamashita eliminated Pom Harajuku by Point Loss TKO (5:55).
2b. Hyper Misao eliminated Miyu Yamashita by Point Loss TKO (6:19).
3. Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Kamifuku defeated Maki Itoh & Himawari Unagi when Kamifuku defeated Unagi with the Fame Asser (11:32).
4. Mirai Maiumi, Suzume & Sena Shiori defeated Rika Tatsumi, Miu Watanabe & Haruna Neko when Suzume pinned Neko with the RKO (12:29).
5. Natsumi Maki & Hikari Noa defeated Shoko Nakajima & Mahiro Kiryu when Maki pinned Noa with the Backlash (10:29).
6. Mizuki & Mina Shirakawa defeated Yuki Aino & Raku when Mizuki pinned Raku with the Cutie Special (13:46).

Mizuki was happy to team with Mina Shirakawa before Shirakawa leaves Tokyo Joshi Pro at the end of the month. Shirakawa responded that she personally loves and respects Mizuki. When they were interviewed backstage, Shirakawa talked about the entire roster sharing their memories of her after the news of her contracting ending came out. Mizuki said she didn’t say anything. Shirakawa corrected her by bringing up a private LINE conversation they had but Mizuki stopped her from providing any more info. For Shirakawa’s last match in TJPW she wants to do something like a Gauntlet match against the entire roster. She reconsidered when she was told that is usually done for retirement matches.

It’s not goodbye yet but Pandemic Boo-Boo teamed up for what could be the last time.

An RKO from Suzume to Haruna Neko created an upset result in Match #4. The match could have ended the other way when Miu Watanabe put Suzume in the Canadian Backbreaker. Sena Shiori made the save with a Dropkick. When Rika Tatsumi got rid of her, Suzume ran rings around Daydream distracting them long enough for Maiumi Mirai to wipe them out with a Double Lariat. After the match Suzume called for Tatsumi’s attention. She joined TJPW because of how much she admires the wrestlers and now she is one too. Suzume wants to herself and Maiumi to shine as bright as Tatsumi so they are challenging Daydream for the Princess Tag Team Titles! The match is accepted and will take place on 21st September. Watanabe seeing two young wrestlers challenging the champions reminds her of when she and Hikari Noa did the same against the Magical Sugar Rabbits two years ago.

Himawari Unagi kept shouting “Wasshoi!” during her match. Trying to get the last of that festival feeling before the summer ends I guess.

Hyper Misao’s latest idea for a match was to give each wrestler 3 points. They lost a point being pinned for 2 seconds, giving up to a submission or getting thrown over the top rope to the outside. Last wrestler with points remaining wins. Misao and Pom Harajuku worked together to take points from Miyu Yamashita. The match came down to everyone with a point each. Yamashita pinned Harajuku with the Attitude Adjustment to eliminate her. But Harajuku rolled into Yamashita’s legs afterwards and helped Misao pin her with La Magistral Cradle to give Misao the victory.

The matches were kept secret until they happened so everyone was surprised to see Yuka Sakazaki in the opener. Moka Miyamoto had her first match back after being absent with illness for a month.

1. Nodoka Tenma, Yuki Aino & Mina Shirakawa defeated Hyper Misao, Raku & Himawari Unagi when Tenma pinned Unagi with the Killswitch (7:51).
2. Tokyo Princess Cup – Semi Final: Mizuki defeated Maki Itoh with the Cutie Special (12:59).
3. Tokyo Princess Cup – Semi Final: Shoko Nakajima defeated Miyu Yamashita with an Inside Cradle (15:34).
4. Yuka Sakazaki, Mirai Maiumi & Sena Shiori defeated Yuki Kamifuku, Mahiro Kiryu & Haruna Neko when Sakazaki pinned Kiryu with the Magical Magical Girl Splash (12:15).
5. Rika Tatsumi, Miu Watanabe & Suzume defeated Natsumi Maki, Hikari Noa & Pom Harajuku when Watanabe pinned Harajuku with the Tear Drop (10:26).
6. Tokyo Princess Cup – Final: Mizuki defeated Shoko Nakajima with the Cutie Special (16:23).

Mizuki win the Tokyo Princess Cup for the second year in a row! Due to shows being cancelled due to the Coronavirus, the semi-finals were pushed back to the same day as the final. Mizuki met Shoko Nakajima in the final. Nakajima immediately went for a Topé Suicida but Mizuki got out of the way and Yuka Sakazaki took the dive at ringside instead. Mizuki then hit a Diving Foot Stomp and a Diving Body Press to the outside. Mizuki later stopped the Diving Senton from happening so she could do the Avalanche Cutie Special. Nakajima almost won with the Northern Lights Suplex but Mizuki kicked out and took back control with a Codebreaker. She weakened her opponent with more Double Stomps until finally winning with the Cutie Special.

Mizuki hugged Sakazaki after receiving the trophy. She thanked everyone for supporting her and excitedly told Sakazaki she won over and over. She then said she wants to have a match against Sakazaki because she is still ahead of her as the Princess Of Princess Champion. Sakazaki said that would be a good match and a miracle title match needs to take place in a miracle venue. Sakazaki Vs Mizuki for the Princess Title will happen main event “WRESTLE PRINCESS” at Tokyo Dome City Hall on 7th November! They hugged again and closed out the show together.

Nakajima ended Miyu Yamashita’s miracle run in the Princess Cup. The focus was on the Northern Lights Suplex. Yamashita kicked out of it once and resisted being given the move a second time but Nakajima turned it into a Small Package to get the three count. Yamashita said she is disappointed she lost to Nakajima and go eliminated from the tournament. She now knows her own weaknesses and will have do something about it. She wonders if she is still too naive over her obsession to win and has to figure out how to shine and become stronger.

Mizuki had to fight past Maki Itoh in a meeting of the original Itoh Respect Army. Itoh got a nearfall with a Swinging DDT then went for the Itoh Special. Mizuki fought out of it and caught Itoh in the Cutie Special for the victory. Itoh declined to shake hands after the match. She instead gave Mizuki the middle finger. This one was out of respect. At least I think it was supposed to be. Backstage Itoh said today’s defeat was the biggest shame of the year. The only solution is to get stronger. In the beginning she just tried to fight her best but Itoh has outgrown that mindset. It’s too tacky for her. That is why Itoh is going to fight the way she wants to fight from now on.

2. Yuki Kamifuku & Mahiro Kiryu defeated Hikari Noa & Pom Harajuku when Kiryu pinned Harajuku with the Spinebuster (6:56).
3. Yuka Sakazaki & Raku defeated Mina Shirakawa & Himawari Unagi when Sakazaki submitted Unagi with an Omoplata (10:31).
4. Tokyo Princess Cup – Quarter Final: Mizuki defeated Yuki Aino with the Cutie Special (11:27).
5. Tokyo Princess Cup – Quarter Final: Maki Itoh defeated Miu Watanabe with the Flying Big Head (11:36).
6. Tokyo Princess Cup – Quarter Final: Shoko Nakajima defeated Natsumi Maki with the Diving Senton (10:49).
7. Tokyo Princess Cup – Quarter Final: Miyu Yamashita defeated Hyper Misao with the Crash Rabbit Heat (12:38).

An unnamed member of the Tokyo Joshi Pro roster who was not at today’s show tested positive in a PCR exam for COVID-19. She is currently being treated and has no worrying symptoms to report at this time. For the entire roster’s safety, tomorrow’s show in Kanda Myojin Hall and the Itabashi Green Hall show on the 22nd have been cancelled. The person had not been in close contact with DDT wrestlers so today’s DDT show went ahead as scheduled as will tomorrow’s BOYZ show. However, Daisuke Kiso will not work those events because he was on the TJPW show.

Hyper Misao was so thankful for the fan support she got from beating Yuka Sakazaki last week. To prove how important the Tokyo Princess Cup is for her, she gathered together her most important weapons and emptied them in the ring to show Miyu Yamashita they will have a fair fight. Yamashita saw through her plan and blocked the attempted Cold Spray attack. However, Misao had a second can and froze her opponent for a nearfall. Misao used the spray again outside the ring and rolled Yamashita up in the ring apron. Yamashita avoided the countout and tackled Misao while still wrapped up in the apron. Misao used an exposed turnbuckle for another advantage but Yamashita kicked her away. She blocked the Vanitas, hit the Attitude Adjustment and won with the Crash Rabbit Heat. Could this finally be Yamashita’s year to win the tournament?

Meeting Yamashita in the semi-final will be Shoko Nakajima. Her win over Natsumi Maki means Maki will have to wait even longer for her next rematch with Yamashita. Nakajima did the Northern Lights Suplex but couldn’t hold on the bridge for the pin. She corrected that by doing a Double Arm DDT and then the Diving Senton for the victory.

Over on the other side of the bracket, Maki Itoh reached her career best in the tournament, advancing to the semi final over Miu Watanabe. Itoh blocked the Laserbeam strike with a Headbutt then hit the Flying Big Head. Rather than go for the pin, Itoh hit a second Flying Big Head to ensure Watanabe would not kick out.

Waiting for Itoh in the semi final is last year’s winner Mizuki. That means the former Itoh Respect Army explodes! Mizuki used an Avalanche Cutie Special on Yuki Aino but was too damaged to pin her straight away. Aino recovered and hit the Venus DDT. She went for the UBV but Mizuki countered it with a Casadora and a Double Stomp. She hit the standard Cutie Special to put Aino away.

The Tokyo Princess Cup semi final matches are Mizuki Vs Maki Itoh and Shoko Nakajima Vs Miyu Yamashita. They were supposed to take place tomorrow but they will have to be rescheduled over the sudden cancellation. Should everything be okay after testing then the next show on the calendar is the final itself on 29th August. They can easily do the semi finals and final on the same show if they have to.

1. Nodoka Tenma, Yuki Aino & Haruna Neko defeated Maki Itoh, Raku & Himawari Unagi when Aino pinned Unagi with the Venus DDT (9:40).
2. 3 Way Match: Mizuki defeated Mirai Maiumi and Sena Shiori when Mizuki pinned Shiori with the Diving Foot Stomp (8:04).
3. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 2: Natsumi Maki defeated Pom Harajuku with the Backlash (4:41).
4. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 2: Shoko Nakajima defeated Mahiro Kiryu with the Northern Lights Suplex (10:37).
5. Rika Tatsumi, Miu Watanabe & Suzume defeated Yuki Kamifuku, Mina Shirakawa & Moka Miyamoto when Tatsumi pinned Miyamoto with the Twist Of Fate (9:11).
6. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 2: Miyu Yamashita defeated Hikari Noa with the Skull Kick (10:22).
7. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 2: Hyper Misao defeated Yuka Sakazaki with La Magistral Cradle (15:42).

The Princess Of Princess Champion is eliminated! Yuka Sakazaki is out. And guess who got her out of the tournament? Hyper Misao of course! Before their match began, Misao talked about missing last year’s Tokyo Princess Cup and she was thinking about the last two years during Sakazaki’s entrance. She had a lot of tricks she wanted to use but never got around to them so she promised to fight fair and square. She emptied a bunch of stuff for Daisuke Kiso to clear out of the ring then she immediately blinded Sakazaki with cold spray behind the ref’s back. Misao continued the dirty tricks by taping Sakazaki’s feet to the post so she hung updside down outside the ring. When Sakazaki got freed she tried to suffocate Misao by covering her mouth and nose. She then pulled off a turnbuckle pad and hit Misao with it. Misao’s attempted to do the Vanitas but her leg was too damaged to complete the move. But she blocked the Magical Girl Splash and trapped Sakazaki in La Magistral Cradle for the three count!

Hikari Noa is aware of Miyu Yamashita’s poor record in the Princess Cup so she scoped out every opening to get a flash pin. She even used the Modified European Clutch (the Bridging Figure 4 looking thing) that’s becoming popular for a nearfall. She also used a Thrust Kick that Natsumi Maki taught her. While Yamashita was still on her back, she used her legs to push Noa off her. When she got up she caught Noa off guard and hit the Skull Kick to win. After wrestling both Raku and Noa back to back, Yamashita believes The Up Up Girls are getting stronger. Now she has to face Misao in the next round and that brings back some angry memories for Yamashita.

Somebody who usually has a good record in the Princess Cup is Shoko Nakajima. The last two years were off because she got eliminated in the 2nd Round both times. This year is an improvement thanks to her advancing over Mahiro Kiryu. Nakajima kicked out of the Spinebuster and won with the Northern Lights Suplex. Kiryu is still pleased with her first Princess Cup performance. When asked if she thinks she has grown during it, Kiryu answered she’s grown about 5mm.

You can never trust Pom Harajuku under any circumstances. Natsumi Maki found that out the hard way when they went for a handshake. Harajuku snuck in a Sneaker Kick and pelted Maki with more Sneaker Kicks in the early going. Her attacks grew bigger building up to a Missile Dropkick. Natsumi took the brunt of the offence long enough to pin her opponent with the Backlash. She then hit Harajuku in the knee for payback after the match.

The Quarter Final matches are now set. Natsumi Maki Vs Shoko Nakajima and Miyu Yamashita Vs Hyper Misao joins Mizuki Vs Yuki Aino and Miu Watanabe Vs Maki Itoh on 15th August.
