Sadly Katsumata is currently out of action getting a metal plate removed from his cheekbone so he has to miss this one.

The theme of Gake no Fuchi in 2020 is “I Want To Help Those Who Are In Need With Pro Wrestling”. Miyako Matsumoto is continuing this theme by using pro wrestling to find a potential bride for Chikara. This came about when Chikara took part in a rap battle and owned himself by admitting he can’t get married. The “bride” in question is Mao from the idol group Senosister. She describes herself as the Atsushi Onita of the idol world, having attended a Super FMW show in 2016 and getting Onita’s “holy water” thrown at her. She saw a picture of Chikara and was turned off because he looks like her uncle. Nevertheless, she agreed to attend the next show because her rent is due and she wants the money. Munenori Sawa was also invited to help out.

8. Osaka Sannin Matsuri – Final: Yuna Manase, Yuki Kamifuku & Mina Shirakawa defeated Shoko Nakajima, Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Aino when Kamifuku pinned Aino with the Fame Asser (9:15).

Cat’s Pye are the last trio standing, eliminating the Up Up Girls and the Tokyo Joshi Special Effects Club to win the Osaka Sannin Matsuri tournament. The crowning moment came when Yuki Kamifuku jumped off the 2nd rope for the first time to hit a Fame Asser on Yuki Aino. After today’s result, Yuna Manase next wants to win a championship. A shot for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles was suggested but Mina Shirakawa would rather see Tokyo Joshi Pro have their own trios championship with Cat’s Pye becoming the first holders.

Rika Tatsumi & Mizuki were not on the same page at all in their matches. In their first match, Mizuki angrily Dropkicked Tatsumi after Tatsumi accidentally broke up a Yuka Sakazaki pinfall. Then in the semi final there was a moment where the Magical Sugar Rabbits both climbed the same corner for a double team dive. Tatsumi got jealous, climbed the same turnbuckles and pushed Sakazaki off. Tatsumi then went for the Diving Missile Hip Attack but missed the target and hit Mizuki instead. Another misdirected Hip Attack to Mizuki led to Shoko Nakajima pinning her with the School Boy.

Miyu Yamashita would like to have a rematch with Natsumi Maki when Maki is back to her pre-injury form. She explained the difference between Maki today and Maki before her injury is not physically defined. It is a matter of feeling. She couldn’t sense much feelings from Maki in the ring today. Yamashita doesn’t want to fight people who are not motivated. Maki was also dissatisfied with today’s match. She wants to wrestle Yamashita again and continue having matches together until she beats her.

Dalys pinned Maki Itoh when Itoh missed the Flying Big Head.

Akemi Daredasore gifted La Jarochita with a good luck talisman before their match. Daisuke Kiso held signs written in Spanish so Jarochita could understand what Daredasore was talking about. It was all just a set up for Daredasore to ambush her. Jarochita dodged the I Am A Hero and won the match with the Blizzard Suplex.

4. Yuka Sakazaki & Maki Itoh defeated Yuna Manase & Raku when Sakazaki submitted Raky with a Modifed Omoplatta (1″:11).
5. Miu Watanabe defeated Mirai Maiumi with the Tear Drop (9:09).
6. Miyu Yamashita, Rika Tatsumi & Mizuki defeated Natsumi Maki, Hikari Noa & Pom Harajuku when Tatsumi submitted Harajuku with the Dragon Sleeper (12:27).

Rika Tatsumi said her team won the main event with the power of love! Tatsumi & Mizuki are teaming with Yuka Sakazaki in the Osaka Sannin Matsuri tournament next week so today was a good practice match for the two. They still need to work things out because during the match there were times when Tatsumi bumped into Mizuki by accident. Miyu Yamashita is now more determined to beat Natsumi Maki too after today’s match.

Yuki Kamifuku & Mina Shirakawa wrestled in school uniforms and acted like gyaru girls to fit in with Akemi Daredasore. Kamifuku was introduced as Yuki Fujisawa and Shirakawa was introduced as Mina Garibenda.

It was confirmed that Sakazaki will get a rematch with Lana Austin after their time limit draw at EVE last week. This time the match will take place in Kitazawa Town Hall on 11th February and it will be for the Princess Of Princess Title!

This past weekend Yuka Sakazaki and Maki Itoh both wrestled in England for “WRESTLE QUEENDOM 3” hosted by Pro-Wrestling: EVE. Sakazaki fought to a 15 minute draw against Lana Austin. After the match Sakazaki told Austin they can have a rematch for the Princess Of Princess Title if Austin ever comes to Japan. In the other match, Itoh defeated “Session Moth” Martina. She was amazed at how Martina controlled the audience support at first but Itoh got them on her side because she is the cutest in the world. Itoh also thinks it was 100 times more exciting to sing in England than it is to sing in Japan.

Anyway long story short, Sakazaki & Itoh are teaming together for their first match back in Japan since the EVE show.

Itoh has invited Bull Nakano to attend the big Tokyo Joshi Pro show at Tokyo Dome City Hall this November. The two met at a talk event yesterday. Nakano’s advice for Itoh was no matter how good she gets, she needs to develop rivalries with other wrestlers from her era. That is what attracts fans and gets them to keep watching.

Unfortunately I’m still struggling to keep up with BASARA because they are still only posting the bare minimum of info on their new website. I’ll keep posting results for now. I’ll have to find a way to dig deeper into this.

Anyway, Masahiro Takanashi is not taking it easy as the Union MAX Champion. He defeated Isami Kodaka in his first defence. Now next on the plate for him is another former MAX champion, Ryota Nakatsu. He also pinned Kodaka recently to claim the title shot.

Tsutomu Oosugi pinning FUMA at the last show means Speed Of Sounds get an IRON FIST TAG Titles match.

Homoiro Clover Z are back! This was an idol unit put together by Danshoku Dieno between 2011 and 2012. There were a few reunions here and there afterward and it was never their decision to break up at the time. They had to because the entire roster was reset for new units to take their place.

Since there currently is not much interaction between the different brands on the main DDT shows, Akito is using the BOYZ brand to make matches involving Ganbare☆Wrestling wrestlers. Shota has been looking forward to wrestle against Konosuke Takeshita ever since he witnessed Takaeshita’s debut match back in 2012.

Akito thinks the YaroZ have their place on BOYZ shows too. They have their female fans believe it or not. Akito knows they can be as graceful as fairies if given the opportunity to.

Kazuki Hirata and Hiroshi Yamato will be on the show.

The card announcement was interrupted by a message from DAMNATION. They will be producing their own show in Shinjuku FACE on 7th April.

The next BOYZ show after this will be on 26th April at Itabashi Green Hall. However the next YaroZ show is also scheduled for the venue on the same day at the same time! An agreement was made for the shows to be held on separate floors. BOYZ gets the bigger room on the 2nd floor. YaroZ gets the smaller room on the 1st floor. They will have to use a low floor ring and can only fill in 124 people in the audience but the YaroZ people think the size is just right for them.

Yumehito Imanari won a Battle Royal to get this title shot. He is the most motivated he’s ever been as a pro wrestler. So even though he knows he will take a beating from Keisuke Ishii, he still likes his odds of winning.
