1. Yu & Nodoka Onesan defeated Rika Tatsumi & Azusa Takigawa when Onesan submitted Takigawa with a Cross Armbreaker (9:59).
2. Shoko Nakajima defeated Marika Kobashi with the Northern Lights Suplex (6:01).
3. Saki Akamiya & Hyper Misao defeated Poison Miura & Poison KANNA (w/ Poison Sawada JULIE) when Akamiya pinned KANNA with the Two Stage Face Kick (8:13).
4. Nonoko & Ai Shimizu defeated Miyu Yamashita & Yuka Sakazaki when Nonoko pinned Shimizu with the Pai Fly Flow (11:49).

Nonoko got the pin on Yuka Sakazaki after Ai Shimizu hit the Triebflügel and Nonoko followed up with the Pai Fly Flow. Nonoko confronted Miyu Yamashita after the match and brought up an interview she gave from the last show. Nonoko remembered Yamashita saying anybody can challenge her for the TOKYO Princess Of Princess Title. Nonoko asked Yamashita if she remembers who won the first Tokyo Princess Cup or who was the wrestler she suffered her first defeat to? It was Nonoko and she wants a title shot! Yamashita accepted the challenge and said she is raring to defend the belt. Even though she lost today the belt won’t be leaving her side. Nonoko replied that she was the first person to beat her and she will also take her first championship too.

Saki Akamiya & Hyper Misao have spent the past few weeks under intensive training from Mitsuya Nagai. But their plan to destroy Snake World Joshi was almost ruined before it began when Poison Sawada JULIE poisoned Misao with his snake magic at the start of the show. Sanshiro Takagi came to the rescue and gave Misao the antidote. She recovered in time for Match #3 to begin. Misao tried to talk Poison Miura & Poison KANNA out of their poisoned state but it was too strong. However the hero team capitalised on a mistaken Lariat Miura gave to KANNA and Akamiya got the victory. Miura told Miura & KANNA that teamwork was where they could get real strength, not snake magic. She gave them the antidote and encouraged them to drink it. KANNA Speared Misao instead. She and Miura went back to Sawada who called their defeat a fluke. He demanded a singles match between Poison KANNA and Akamiya at the next show.

Although she was defeated in her first singles match, Marika Kobashi is learning from her experience. She’s thinking about gaining weight and muscles so her Machine Gun Shops can become stronger.

Saki Akamiya & Hyper Misao are trying to stop him and are being aided by people from JULIE’s past like Kero Tanaka and Mitsuya Nagai.

Poison Sawada JULIE claimed that his student Poison Miura has become so strong after training that she did not need a tag partner to wrestle Saki Akamiya & Hyper Misao. The match became a Handicap match instead. Akamiya used a hand mirror to deflect JULIE’s magic back at him. Suddenly KANNA appeared wearing snake magic make up and she Speared Akamiya, allowing Miura to clamp the Cattle Mutilation on Misao and make her submit. JULIE introduced the audience to Poison KANNA! She entered the Snake World wanting to become stronger after she lost her match at the 4th January Korakuen Hall show. JULIE said he will continue to remodel Tokyo Joshi into Snake World Joshi! All of a sudden Akamiya summoned Mitsuya Nagai to the ring! Few of the girls recognised him. Nagai promised to train Akamiya so she can beat JULIE’s growing snake army.

Ai Shimizu said she will leave Tokyo Joshi Pro on 2nd April, shortly after her 35th birthday. However she is not retiring from wrestling. She promises to fight with all of her strength for her remaining matches.

*Miyu Yamashita becomes the 1st Tokyo Princess Of Princess Champion!

Hours before Wrestle Kingdom took place, DDT’s joshi promotion had a show of their own nearby with their first event ever held inside Korakuen Hall. It’s also close enough to kind of count as the third anniversary of Tokyo Joshi Pro’s debut show. A lot of the roster debuted new wrestling gear for the occasion.

yamashita-wins-title

The newly named TOKYO Princess Of Princess Championship was on the line in the main event. Miyu Yamashita and Shoko Nakajima fought to become the first champion. Yamashita has been with Tokyo Joshi since the brand rebooted itself in 2013 after a failed soft launch that took place one year earlier. She had spent most of the last year trying to establish herself as the ace of the brand. Nakajima debuted six months after Yamashita. After spending the beginning of her career as a comedy wrestler she accomplished two big goals in 2014, winning the Tokyo Princess Cup and being the girl to break Saki Akai’s winning streak in the promotion. She came close to beating Yamashita with a European Clutch, 2nd Rope Senton and even her trust Northern Lights Suplex but it was not enough. Yamashita hit back with the Attitude Adjustment and Brazilian Kicks. Nakajima wouldn’t stay down until Yamashita hit the Crash Rabbit Heat to become the first champion! Yamashita admitted she was becoming jealous of Nakajima but that helped make her stronger. She is happy to have fought her in a match as special as this. She said their first show in Korakuen was a success and everyone wants to run the venue again and again until they can run bigger venues and become the biggest women’s wrestling company in Japan.

akamiya-poison

Trouble has been brewing between Saki Akamiya and Akane Miura. Saki Akai’s dark alter ego and her partner in crime Hyper Misao (is it a crime when a super hero is involved?) ended up picking a fight with Poison Sawada JULIE, causing JULIE to take Miura under his wing. Sawada and Akamiya had a confrontation on the entrance stage when the show began but Miura did not appear until it was time for their match. When she appeared she had transformed into Poison Miura! She copied Sawada’s snake magic poses, rattling noises included. Sawada used his magic to freeze Akamiya during the match. Hyper Misao tried to stop him but ultimately failed. Another snake magic spell stopped Akamiya from hitting her finisher and Miura put her down with a Rock Bottom and the Lariat. Sawada claimed victory over Akamiya and said he will remodel her. First, she will be renamed Poison Saki Akamiya!

tanaka-magic-mirror

All of a sudden the famous ring announcer Kero Tanaka entered the ring begging Sawada to stop! He knew that deep down inside Poison Sawada JULIE was the New Japan trainee he knew all those years ago, Atsuo Sawada. He then used a hand mirror to block Sawada’s spell from hitting Akamiya. Sawada stopped when he realised it was Tanaka. He warned that his goal is to transform Tokyo Joshi into Snake Joshi and then left with Miura. Tanaka told Akamiya that she cannot defeat Sawada’s snake magic in her current state and will need to undergo special training to become stronger.

kanna-shimizu

Ai Shimizu seems to have adopted a ninja gimmick if her new costume and finishing move is anything to go by.

sakazaki-candice

Yuka Sakazaki did not know anything about Candice LeRae before their match but she literally brought out the big gun for her opponent. She carried a bazooka to the ring but the referee stopped her from using it. She and LeRae fought up to the stage where LeRae placed Sakazaki onto a pallet truck and pushed her into a pile of balloons. Back in the ring LeRae grabbed the win with the Ball Plex. She praised Tokyo Joshi for their training regime and thinks it will become a bigger company. Sakazaki is convinced she would have won if she got to use the bazooka.

kobashi-debut

Erin was ready to play the grumpy veteran role for Marika Kobashi’s debut match but it backfired when Kobashi trapped her in the corner and unleashed the Machine Gun Chops! There were loud “Kobashi!” chants for that moment. Her tag partner Rika Tatsumi was able to score a rare win at the end.

masao-nonoko-mizuho

The 3 Way Match got lewd at points. Hyper Misao felt like the odd girl out when Nonoko and MIZUHO fought a battle between tits and ass. Nonoko was the last one standing when she pinned both Misao and MIZUHO at the same time.

yu-taps-onesan

The opening match could not have paired two women more different than each other. Nodoka Onesan was dressed in colourful clothing and looked like someone out of a pre-school TV show. Yuu’s entrance began with the intro theme of Terminator 2 and switched to “Ikusa” by Wagakki Band. Save for a Suplex at the beginning, Onesan was outmatched and overpowered by Yu’s Judo ability. In the post-match interview Yu pointed out Yamashita and Nakajima as the seniors she most wants to beat.

joshi-trainee-class-16

Four more trainees introduced themselves at the beginning of the show. Yuki looks up to Cherry, Maho wants to follow in Akane Miura’s footsteps (probably without the snake magic stuff), Hinako just recently discovered pro wrestling and wants to try it out and Alice wants to be both a wrestler and an idol. They each passed an audition to find new rookies.

Chikage Kiba was in attendance and joined the others in the ring during the show closing speech. She currently has no plans to return to wrestling.

1. Ai Shimizu defeated MIZUHO with the Fishergirl Bomb (6:28).
2. 3 Way Match: Nonoko defeated Yuka Sakazaki and Azusa Takigawa when Nonoko submitted Takigawa with the Dragon Sleeper (7:58).

4. Shoko Nakajima defeated Rika Tatsumi with the Northern Lights Suplex (9:27).
5. Right To 1/4 Tokyo Joshi Title Appearance: Miyu Yamashita (c) defeated KANNA with the Crash Rabbit Heat (9:09).

The main event had big consequences for the 4th January title match at Korakuen Hall. Miyu Yamashita defended her spot in the match against her rival from day one, KANNA. Yamashita has beaten KANNA in every singles match they had together and this time was no different. Even with the stuff she learned as part of Biishiki-gun, KANNA was still not good enough to beat Yamashita. The result means the main event of Korakuen is set in stone. Yamashita will take on the Tokyo Princess Cup winner Shoko Nakajima to crown Tokyo Joshi Pro’s first champion!

Nobody expected Poison Sawada JULIE to appear in Tokyo Joshi but that’s exactly what he did agter Match #3. JULIE was here for Akane Miura. He said her recent defeats and failed opportunities were the result of a weak mind. But with his snake magic, Miura can become the strongest in Tokyo Joshi! The other girls tried to convince Miura not to take his offer but JULIE used his snake magic to take over their bodies and forcfully make them leave the ring. Miura accepted JULIE’s help and they left the ring laughing maniacly. Hyper Misao said she will wrestle Akane one on one at Korakuen to save her from JULIE’s grasp.

Three new rookies were introduced today. Yuu and Shio were given an exhibition bout to show off their skills. Yu seems to be power based while Shio has grappling skills. They are joined by Marika who is a Big Japan fan.

Candice LeRae will be on the 4th January show.

Former DDT wrestlers Yusuke Inokuma & Keisuke Masuda are an unexpected addition to Match #1. Inokuma explains that he and Masuda always wanted to wrestle in Union but never could so this is their last chance. Whenever they were booked in Union they always wound up becoming sick on the day of the show. They were also always supposed to take on the hideous and violent team of Gaijin A and Gaijin A. 6. KO-D Openweight Title: KUDO defeated HARASHIMA (c) with the Diving Double Knee Drop (19:54).
*HARASHIMA fails in V7. KUDO becomes the 47th KO-D Openweight Champion!

DDT celebrates its 17th Anniversary with a new KO-D Openweight Champion! After seven months of dominating the main event scene, HARASHIMA was finally knocked off his throne by his former ally KUDO. The new champion gloated about how his win was the result of him leaving UraShimaKudo and he would wait for a rematch anytime. HARASHIMA and Yasu Urano glared at KUDO but both left. With the former champion out of the way, KUDO now has a whole host of new challengers ahead.

The annual free for all that is the Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Contract Battle Royal returned with six prizes on the line. A KO-D Title shot at Korakuen Hall on 29th April was the prize to the winner of the Royal Rumble portion of the match. The other portion was a Ladder Match with five contracts hanging above the ring, four of them with smiley faces and one with a skull on it. Tetsuya Endo, Masa Takanashi, Kazuki Hirata and Super Sasadango Machine each grabbed a smiley face contract, giving them a KO-D Title shot whenever they want. Guanchulo got the skull contract which turned out to be the right to challenge his favourite wrestler to a match. Akito last eliminated Konosuke Takeshita to win the Rumble match and get next month’s title shot. At the end of the show Akito told KUDO that there will be no more HARASHIMA’s challenging him because he will win the belt. The current generation on top in DDT will not last forever and he is here to be the future.

Guanchulo cashed in his contract and decided to have a match with Kikutaro. The match will take place on 29th March. The other contracts can be cashed in at any show until 2nd August. But just like last year, contracts can change hands if the holder is pinned or submitted in any match held inside Japan. Amon asked if anyone was going to cash in their contract before the April Korakuen show. Endo said he wants to cherish the contract because it’s his first time, so he will not cash it in yet. Sasadango also declined because he wants to train for his title match. Takanashi said he will not betray his “big brother” and will not challenge KUDO. Hirata was the only person who said he will cash in his contract at Korakuen next month.

Retired DDT wrestler Atsuo Sawada was a guest at the show and spoke about the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title that he originally created 14 years ago. He said it was amazing that the championship is close to crowning its 1,000th champion. The 999th champion Sanshiro Takagi knew all too well about this since he was chased by Gorgeous Matsuno and Gota Ihashi throughout the show. During his speech celebrating DDT’s 17th Anniversary, Takagi announced he was sealing the Iron Man Title. Takagi said 999 was a nice number for the title lineage to end and he was also sick of wrestlers constantly attacking him. Sawada protested because he created the title to be defended all the time and to be won by any wrestler or thing. Takagi tried to convince Sawada to accept the decision by comparing the number of title reigns to Galaxy Express 999 but eventually gave up. Amon Tsurumi then announced that the title will be defended in Kasukabe Hall on 12th April.

Despite losing all three matches in their trial series, Michael Nakazawa & Tomomitsu Matsunaga finally impressed Amon Tsurumi with their performance. Their KO-D Tag Team Title defeat to the Golden Lovers got Tsurumi to say “Michael & Matsunaga did real good!” Kota Ibushi called both wrestlers strong in the post-match interview but he and Kenny Omega also pointed out that there are no immediate challengers for them to face next.

The Monster Army had its final battle and for the occasion Antonio Honda asked the opposing team if they could drop their guard so the entire Army could do a surprise attack one more time. After the match Honda said the unit will live on in his breast. His nipple to be exact.

Keisuke Ishii has been left feeling depressed after he and Soma Takao failed to win the All Asia Tag Team Titles in All Japan last Tuesday. That match was Ishii’s second chance to win the belts and he came up short again. He considered giving up the challenge and no longer chase after the belts. Amon Tsurumi encouraged Ishii to not give up and if Ishii couldn’t win the belts with Takao then he should try again with Shigehiro Irie. He instructed Ishii to record a video of himself asking for another title match and to send the video to Jun Akiyama.

New trainees Shunma Katsumata and Shun Miyatake fought to a five minute draw in a pre-show exhibition. Afterwards Tsurumi announced that Katsumata will have his debut wrestling match on the next Korakuen show on 29th April. Miyatake asked when he was going to debut. Amon was surprised by the question and told Miyatake that he is 100 years too early to even talk about having a debut.

DDT will get a new show on Samurai! TV soon. The show is called DDT Wrestling Banzai \(^o^)/.

5. KO-D Openweight Title: El Generico (c) defeated MIKAMI with the Brainbustaaaaahhhhh!!!!! (16:30).
*V2 for El Generico.
6. Poison Sawada JULIE Retirement Match: Hiro Tsumaki, Tetsuya Endo & Konosuke Takeshita defeated Poison Sawada JULIE, Takatoge & JARASHIMA when Takeshita pinned JULIE with the Touchdown (10:57).

Poison Sawada JULIE has retired from wrestling after 24 years of sleaze. Vipers, poison, the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title, snake magic, petrification, cloning, scorpions, feuds with karate dojos, time travel, a match against Masahiro Chono, J-Pop tribute acts and more. Poison Sawada had done it all in the Japanese wrestling scene. But his time has finally come to an end and efforts must be put in place for the new generation of wrestlers to shine, as highlighted by Sawada’s retirement match. Konosuke Takeshita is learning fast and now has two main event wins in a row.

El Generico passed his second defence of the KO-D Openweight Title against a very tough opponent. Generico praised MIKAMI for being a great challenger. The champion was given the chance to select his next opponent for 23rd December. That was when Kenny Omega entered the ring. He told Generico (in Japanese) he was upset with how Generico was able to quickly achieve goals that Omega couldn’t do during his 4 year stay in DDT. Generico was able to beat Kota Ibushi before Omega could. Generico was able to win the KO-D Title before Omega could. Generico simply replied by saying “I don’t speak Japanese.” Nevertheless, he chose Kenny Omega to be his next challenger.

It can now safely be said that Antonio Honda has a case of kleptomania. This time around, Honda stole leg guards from Kota Ibushi and Kenny Omega, items that would surely fetch a neat price online. The Golden Lovers were able to take their items back thanks to Gota Ihashi, who scored a big win and possibly discovered a suitable finisher in the form of the Frog Splash. Honda’s kleptomania flared up again after the match when he stole a briefcase from Tsurumi Amon. The briefcase contains something valuable that Amon was going to reveal to the DDT fans on 23/12. Honda then said he will sell the briefcase on Yahoo Auctions without knowing what is inside it.

Sanshiro Takagi then appeared to call Honda a thief. As punishment for his actions, the Monster Army would have to face Takagi plus a special tag team on 23/12. A video message then came up on the screen. It was Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima! They heard about Honda’s thievery and wanted to stop him. Tenzan’s message to Honda was “You’re under arrest, idiot!” and Kojima referred to themselves as the COZY Heaven Police Force. So it will be Sanshiro Takagi and TenKoji versus the Monster Army on 23/12!

For getting the pinfall on Match #3, DJ Nira earned the most valuable of prizes DDT can offer… an automatic Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title shot. Speaking of that belt, current champion Yoshiaki Fujiwara will return to DDT on 3rd January next year.

From what I have seen from translations and pictures posted online, the Castle Siege Death Match was sort of like a pro wrestling remake of DOTA/League Of Legends style video games. The Takagi Army and Team Drift each had a castle of stacked chairs to defend, one on the north stage of Korakuen Hall and one on the southside. There were also two smaller “towers” of stacked chairs inside the ring. Takagi hired a garrison of 15 people to defend his castle. Team Drift only hired one person, Toru Owashi! In a battle that saw a lot of chairs collapse, Team Drift were victorious in the end. Shigehiro Irie is said to have hurt his neck during the match. The injury happened when Irie gave Takagi the Vertical Drop Back Flip over on the north stage.

The next Hard Hit show has been announced to take place on 24th February in Shin-Kiba 1st RING. The show will have a youth theme to it.
