A press conference was held earlier today featuring the participants of the two title matches. Konosuke Takeshita announced he is returning to America in October so his goal for Sunday is to win the KO-D Openweight Title and bring it with him to AEW. He does not believe Kazusada Higuchi’s claim that a new wind is blowing through DDT. Higuchi disagrees and thinks the KO-D Title has already taken a new form that will not change back if Takeshita wins it off him and takes it abroad. Win or lose, this is the match Higuchi has been looking for.

Nobody was able to get a word out of Cara Noir during the press conference. Even Yuki Ueno tried to make him speak by asking him questions in English but Noir stayed silent throughout. However his physical gestures made it clear he wants to beat Ueno and become the new DDT Universal Champion. Ueno hopes that if he can successfully defend the title it will open the door to him having a title defence in the United Kingdom. He also wants to defend the belt in Thailand to live up to a promise that Masahiro Takanashi made when he was the champion.

The full line-up of this year’s D-Ou Grand Prix tournament will be revealed during the show.

2. Basara Strange Style Jacket 3 Way Match: Gouma defeated Ryota Nakatsu and Fuminori Abe by Double Knockout after Nakatsu and Abe knocked each other out (R3 1:26).
3. Takumi Tsukamoto, Yasu Urano & Minoru Fujita defeated FUMA, Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Daichi Kazato when Tsukamoto pinned Kazato with the Swivel Zudon (13:37).
4. IRON FIST Tag Titles: Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino defeated Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga (c) when Nakano pinned Oosugi after the Combined Swan Dive Body Scissors Drop (14:43).
*Speed Of Sounds fails in V7. Aijin Tag becomes the 6th IRON FIST Tag Champions!
5. Union MAX Title: Isami Kodaka (c) defeated Daiki Shimomura with the Isamiashi Zan (20:03).

The Union MAX Title was on the line between two members of Sento Minzoku. The figurehead of the unit Isami Kodaka blocked Daiki Shimomura’s Swanton Bomb with his knees, cutting off the challenger’s best chance at winning the match. Shimomura still kept fighting and gave a final roar before Kodaka put a stop to him with the Isamiashi Zan. The two of them were joined by Minoru Fujita after the match, marking the first time in a while all active members of Sento Minzoku were in the ring together. They wished the fans “Peace & Fuck” to end the show.

Aijin Tag have finally beaten Speed Of Sounds to win the IRON FIST Tag Titles! They came up with a new double team move to do it too. Masato Kamino lifted Tsutomu Oosugi up for a Power Bomb and Takato Nakano flew into him with a Swan Dive Lou Thesz Press. Banana Senga told the new champions he is looking forward to seeing them defend the belts. He also told them not to lose the titles until SOS challenge them for the rematch.

Daichi Kazato approached Aijin Tag after the show asking for a title shot on 24th September. He implied he wanted to fight both of them on his own. They will accept the challenge if Kazato can find a tag partner in time.

The rankings for BASARA’s Jacket matches have gone topsy turvy over today’s result. It was a 3 Way match between Ryota Nakatsu, Fuminori Abe and Gouma. Nakatsu and Abe ended up knocking each other out while fighting over money that Gouma threw at them so Gouma was declared the winner. Gouma moved all the way from 15th to 1st in the rankings because of the win. Nakatsu dropped from 1st down to 2nd and Abe went from 4th to 5th.

The Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ tournament returns in October. The opening show will be held on 11th October and more details will be revealed at a later date.

Cheering, hanging up banners and throwing streamers were all allowed on today’s show.

The two are the longest serving members of the TJPW roster and both made their official pro wrestling debut at the same time. It was on 17th August, 2013 at Sumo Hall. There isn’t a match-up more fitting.

The pro wrestling debut of Juria Nagano will also be on the show. Nagano was born in Shimane on 10th February, 1996. She is 159cm tall and has a 2nd black belt in Shito-ryu Karate. She also works as an action actress as well as a nurse. Sanshiro Takagi scouted her for TJPW and she is currently deep into her preparations for her debut.

During the week Mizuki Watase unexpectedly requested a move from DDT to Ganbare☆Pro. DDT had met with Watase to discuss his plans and all sides agreed to go through with the move as of 25th November. Watase’s match against Yusuke Okada on 5th December will still go ahead and it is now his send-off match from DDT. Watase has wrestled in Ganpro several times and thinks the heat from the fans matches his own temperature. He is grateful to DDT for having him for 6 years including his debut match in Sumo Hall. He hopes to get stronger so the next time he steps in a DDT ring he will return the favour. This move also opens up Watase’s options because he wants to wrestle in other companies, in foreign countries and against various people. If he can get that kind of schedule then he will be able to wrestle the same amount of matches as he would if he stayed in DDT.

The only wrestler associated with Dera Beppin is Papillon Akemi, a masked wrestler designed to look like a shoujo manga character. If it’s joshi that Akemi wants then joshi is what Akemi will get. Saki Akai is stepping up on the DDT side.

Even though Mizuki doesn’t like to fight against Miyu Yamashita she does have a good win-loss record against her. She has now been full-time with Tokyo Joshi Pro for a year now and wants to carry the promotion on her back. That means she needs to take the Princess Of Princess Title from Yamashita. The champion has been beaten by Mizuki twice this year. During the Tokyo Princess Cup as well as yesterday’s Princess Tag Titles match. She respects her so much that she wants the match to take place on the annual Ittenyon show. There is no better time for Yamashita to avenge those losses.

Hikari Noa will next defend the International Princess Title against the winner of a Battle Royal taking place on 4th December. The participants of the Battle Royal will all be chosen by a fan votes on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. If you are subscribed to WRESTLE UNIVERSE then you can vote here using your name and User ID. Only one vote is allowed per account. Any multiple votes found will invalidate all of your votes. Noa thinks if a wrestler who has not been able to move up a step gets voted into the Battle Royal and wins the title shot, it will be a chance for that person to gain confidence. She will watch the Battle Royal and form her strategy depending on who wins.

Sanshiro Takagi had a fall at his home and broke some cartilage in his rib from landing on a kettlebell. He also hit his head off a dumbbell but that didn’t seem to do anything. It will take him two weeks to recover so he cannot wrestle on tomorrow’s show. He will still be in the corner for Toru Owashi & Soma Takao as they take on Pheromones two against three. Takagi advised Takao to bring back the steel basin he used to hit his opponents with.

Shinya Aoki and Yumiko Hotta agreed to have a regular pro wrestling match for the DDT Extreme Title bout. Hotta doesn’t care what the stipulation is, she will use AJW-ism to win not matter what. Last time Hotta was in the ring with Aoki, she pinned him with the Pyramid Driver. She would like to win this move with a big pro wrestling move like that but is wary of Aoki using his MMA style to avoid a repeat result.

Hotta’s protégé Riko Kawahata wants to have a match with Saki Akai that is unique to themselves. She doesn’t feel the pressure and looks forward to the day Hotta passes the baton down to her.

Since the UWA World 6-Man Tag Team Titles has been cancelled or postponed so many times, Sento Minzoku decided to vacate the titles. There will still be a match against Toru Owashi and his team of Toryumon associates and it will be for the vacated titles. Replacing Fujita for the match is Yuko Miyamoto. BASARA also sent a message to Fujita telling him not to rush through his recovery. They will be there for him no matter how long it takes for him to come back.

1. SAGAT & Akiyori Takizawa defeated Takumi Tsukamoto & Takato Nakano when SAGAT submitted Nakano with a Modified Backbreaker (9:32)
2. Jacket Double Bout: Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Gouma defeated Yusuke Kubo & Daichi Kazato by Referee Stoppage when Hiroshi used the Infinite STO on Kazato (R4 1:58).
3. Masato Kamino defeated Daiki Shimomura with the Lariat (13:15).
4. Fuminori Abe, Takuya Nomura & Yasu Urano defeated Isami Kodaka, Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga when Abe submitted Oosugi with the Manjigatame (11:49).
5. Union MAX Next Challenger Decision League – Final: Ryota Nakatsu defeated FUMA with the V Slider (21:02).

Ryota Nakatsu wins the Decision League and will face Takumi Tsukamoto for the Union MAX Title at Korakuen Hall on 24th October! Nakatsu praised FUMA and admitted he could have lost to him today. Nakatsu called out Tsukamoto and called him really strong. Tsukamoto returned the compliment but told him he isn’t going to win the MAX Title from him. Nakatsu told the fans he and Tsukamoto are both 30 years old and they are going to have a passionate fight at Korakuen.

The 6-Man Tag Match was built around two things. The first was the amount of champions involved in the match. Isami Kodaka, Fuminori Abe and Takuya Nomura all entered carrying belts from several different promotions. The second was Astronauts and Speed Of Sounds facing off to see who is stronger. Abe made Tsutomu Oosugi submit to win the match but asked SOS if they could fight them again on 24th October for the IRON FIST Tag Titles. SOS accepted and Banana Senga said they will show Astronauts the true essence of tag team wrestling.

Toru Owashi attacked Isami Kodaka and Daiki Shimomura after Match #3. He almost Choke Slammed Shimomura onto a pile of chairs but was stopped and kicked out of the venue. As Owashi was leaving he told the Sento Minzoku wrestlers to polish the UWA 6-Man Tag Team Title belts every day because his team are coming to take them on 24th October!

Extra stipulations were added to the Jacket Match after every round. The first round was using regular tag rules, the second turned into a Tornado Tag Match and the third round onwards allowed weapons to be used.

An email arrived at the BASARA office yesterday that caught Isami Kodaka by surprise. It said that even though Sento Minzoku and BASARA currently has possession of the UWA World 6-Man Tag Team Titles, those belts belong to the person sending the message and he will come to collect them at Korakuen Hall. The email was signed off by Toru Owashi! A title match will go ahead at Korakuen but nobody has been confirmed for the challenger team yet.

5. ReOStaff Presents Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ – Final: Minoru Fujita defeated SAGAT with the Modified Tombstone Piledriver (20:17).

Minoru Fujita wins the Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ and pockets 500,000 yen in prize money. He joked about feeling sorry for the sponsors financing the tournament because their money ended up going to a freelancer instead of a full time BASARA wrestler. Fujita has ideas on what to use the money for but he can’t say what it is yet. Instead he wants to focus on the next mountain to climb and that is the Union MAX Championship! He challenged Takumi Tsukamoto to a title match on 27th July. Today, Fujita stands on top of BASARA and he told the rest of the roster they still have a lot of training to do.

Astronauts are now double champions in BASARA and Big Japan! For Sento Minzoku, victory was so close for them today. Daiki Shimomura capitalized on a blown double team spot from Astronauts and hit Fuminori Abe with an Asai DDT. However Abe blocked the Swanton Bomb with his knees and put Shimomura in the Manjigatame. Takuya Nomura held Isami Kodaka back until Shimomura finally gave up. Abe said he wants Astronauts to be the tag team that best represents the pro wrestling world. Their success is also making them stronger individually and Nomura has a chance to become a triple champion later this month when he challenges for the BJW Strong World Title.

The Jacket tag match ended up in chaos when all four wrestlers involved all fought in the ring together. Gouma tried to keep things under control but kept getting caught in crossfire after crossfire. He eventually gave up and called off the match much to everyone’s anger. They convinced him to restart the match but chaos broke out a second time and he cancelled the match again. Gouma declared himself the winner and the other wrestlers attacked him in retaliation.

1. Minoru Fujita, Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga defeated Yusuke Kubo, Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Daichi Kazato when Fujita pinned Kazato with the Tombstone Piledriver (11:50).
2. 3 Way Match: Daisuke Kamibayashi defeated Fuminori Abe, Gouma and Yasu Urano when Kamibayashi pinned Gouma with a Standing Moonsault (7:51).
3. FUMA defeated Takato Nakano with a Cross Armbreaker (11:19).
4. IRON FIST Tag Titles: Isami Kodaka & Daiki Shimomura (c) Vs Ryota Nakatsu & SAGAT ended in a Time Limit Draw (30:00).
*V3 for Sento Minzoku.
5. Union MAX Title: Takumi Tsukamoto (c) defeated Masato Kamino with the Dragon Kicker (15:11).
*V5 for Takumi Tsukamoto.

Takumi Tsukamoto called Masato Kamino an insanely strong opponent. He fought off his Lariats, avoided being thrown with the Verdict and used a Dragon Kicker to get the win. His next goal is to win the Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ as the reigning Union MAX Champion. Then he can nominated his next challenger.

The time expired in the IRON FIST Tag Titles match right after Ryota Nakatsu gave Isami Kodaka the V Slider. Daiki Shimomura took himself out when he missed a Swanton Bomb while SAGAT was there to break the count when Kodaka had Nakatsu beaten with a Brainbuster. Kodaka got a nearfall with the Diving Double Knee Drop but Nakatsu got back into it with a High Kick, a German Suplex and then the V Slider when time ran out. Nakatsu spoke of his regret to tag in SAGAT to finish the job while SAGAT thinks they would have won if they hit the Big Mac.

Gouma got permission to change the rules to the 3 Way Match. Only two wrestlers were allowed to fight in the ring at one time. The odd man out had to wait on the apron and be tagged in to enter the match. At one point Gouma had Fuminori Abe pinned in La Magistral Cradle but Abe grabbed referee Daisuke Kamibayashi’s hand to stop him from counting three. Under the new rules that counted as a tag and Kamibayashi had to wrestle Gouma. Yasu Urano hit Gouma with a Lariat but fell out of the ring when Kamibayashi lowered the ropes. Kamibayashi then pinned Gouma with a Standing Moonsault and Abe performed the three count to award him the win.

The 2021 Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ tournament will be held from 18th May to 7th July. This year’s tournament is back to being BASARA only after last year’s edition was co-promoted with Dove Pro.

The 5th May show in Itabashi Green Hall will celebrate Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi’s 10th Anniversary in pro wrestling.

Today is the beginning of a trial period where BASARA is allowing its fans to cheer and make noise during the show, as long as they still wear their protective masks over their mouths and noses.
