Ganpuro No Offline, Cole Miner’s Glove Match

May 7, 2014

GANBARE☆WRESTLING “~CHAPTER 2 2ND SEASON~ VOL. 3”, 01/06/2014
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Special Single Match: Shota Vs Tiger Bed Scene
2. No Offline Broadcast Special Streaming Double Hell Match: Shibata Vs Tanomusaku Toba

Shibata is a mixed martial artist who also helps with the broadcast of Ganbare☆Wrestling’s videos on Nico Douga. He approached Ken Ohka asking to join the Ganpuro roster and for the two of them to team together. Ohka declined to team with him but offered him an MMA match against a famous kickboxer. Shibata asked if it was Peter Aerts. Ohka said it’s not Aerts, it’s former DDT competitor and also video editor Tanomusaku Toba. I think based on the match name the idea is it will be streamed online.

Tigger Bed Scene is from SWS, a longtime student wrestling promotion.

DDT “ANTONIO HONDA BOX OFFICE ~DEKI-GOKORO~”, 01/06/2014
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Cole Miner’s Glove Match: Yasu Urano Vs Hiroshi Fukuda
2. Bra And Submission Match: Antonio Honda Vs Norikazu Fujioka

Looks like Antonio Honda is digging deep into the bag of ridiculous stipulation matches from America for his show. An iron glove used for coal mining will be placed over one of the turnbuckles for Yasu Urano and Hiroshi Fukuda to fight over. Fukuda will be wrestling as his “Mr. Perfect” persona.

GANBARE☆WRESTLING “~CHAPTER 2 2ND SEASON~ VOL. 2”, 01/05/2014
Shin-Kiba 1st RING
188 Fans – Super No Vacancy

1. Revenge Of The Tiger!: Fumihito Kihara defeated Kotaro Nasu with the Rolling Hell Hold (5:40).
2. Ganbare☆Martial Arts Open Tournament – Round 1: Ken Ohka defeated Megane with a Cobra Twist (3:21).
3. Ganbare☆Martial Arts Open Tournament – Round 1: Shota defeated Shibata Maeda with a School Boy (3:47).
4. Ganbare☆Martial Arts Open Tournament – Round 1: Yuki Shizuku defeated Gorikiko by Knockout with a Back Drop (6:38).
5. Medical Human Dog Food Death Match: Survival Tobita defeated Dr. Kiriko with a Piledriver (6:20).
6. Ganbare☆Martial Arts Open Tournament – Semi Final: Ken Ohka Vs Shota ended in a Double Count Out (5:34)
6a. Shota defeated Ken Ohka by Count Out (0:24).
7. Ganbare☆Martial Arts Open Tournament – Semi Final: Tatsuhito Takaiwa defeated Yuki Shizuku with a Cross Armlock (8:51).
8. Special Tag Match: Osamu Namiguchi & Crusher Takahashi defeated Yumehito Imanari & Tigger Bed Scene when Namiguchi submitted Bed Scene with a Half Crab (16:17).
9. Ganbare☆Martial Arts Open Tournament – Final: Tatsuhito Takaiwa defeated Shota by Knockout with the Death Valley Bomb (10:38).

This show was built around the Ganbare☆Martial Arts Open Tournament, pitting 8 fighters with different styles against each other in a playoff. Matches could be won by pinfall, submission, a 10 count KO or a 10 count outside the ring. In the first round Ken Ohka (Pro Wrestling) defeated Megane (Taekwando), Shota (American Wrestling) defeated Shibata Maeda (Mixed Martial Arts) and Yuki Shizuku (Amateur Wrestling) defeated Gorikiko (Judo). One of the unknown fighters invited to compete declined to participate, allowing Jr. Heavyweight wrestler Tatsuhito Takaiwa (Tai Chi) a bye into the semi finals. In the semis Ohka and Shota were both counted outside of the ring leading to a draw. The match was immediately restarted and Shota dove onto Ohka from the apron. The two were in danger of getting counted out again until Shota entered the ring before the ref counted ten. Shota celebrated his victory by getting the audience to chant “Yes!” over and over. Taikawa defeated Shizuku by submission to meet Shota in the final. Takaiwa then knocked out Shota with his patented Death Valley Bomb to win the tournament. Taikawa offered a handshake to Shota after the match but instead knocked him down with a Lariat. He took the mic and said he never wanted to be in the tournament and does not know Tai Chi. He called Ganbare☆Wrestling a scum company for lying about him. Ohka confronted Taikawa and challenged him to a match on 1st June.

Survival Tobita got his revenge on Dr. Kiriko in a Medical Human Dog Food Death Match, which I think was just a fancy name for a regular old death match involving medical items. The match was officiated by a special doctor known as Dr. Lin. Kiriko did some nefarious stuff to try and beat Tobita, even giving him an examination during the match. This backfired when he struck Tobita’s knee with a hammer and unintentionally got a Low Blow in return. Kiriko turned the tables and intended to kill Tobita with an injection but Dr. Lin came to the rescue and gave Kiriko the Rainmaker. Tobita followed up with a Piledriver to get the three count. As punishment for losing, Kiriko was unmasked to reveal he was Atsushi Maruyama, the former Tigers Mask from Osaka Pro! Maruyama then acted like he was saved from darkness saying that the school route he used to be scared of is now gone, the rain has stopped and the sun is starting to rise again. He also said he will not return to Ganpuro because of his actions.

With HARASHIMA claiming a Right To Challenge Contract and declaring he will cash it in against KUDO on 25th May, the two get to face against each other beforehand in a 6-Man Tag. I wonder what state of mind Yasu Urano will be in since he just cashed in his contract and lost to KUDO.

Tominaga originally came to Union on a similar path but injuries brought an end to his time with the company and he never fulfilled his potential. Masayuki is now in his spot which could make the match personal.

Poison Sawada JULIE revealed his intentions to prevent Sanshiro Takagi from retiring the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title. According to Sawada he possesses an ancient lighter from the Inca Empire which can be used to burn the championship belt. When burnt, a treasure map of Arica appears on the belt’s strap. If Takagi gets his way and retires the championship he will have the belt all to himself. Sawada does not want Takagi to discover the map and go after the ancient treasure so he travelled to an old hideout and searched for a certain item to help him. Even though the cave has become desolate over the years and many of his possessions are no longer kept there, he was able to find what he wanted. S Cells! These are potions that contain the power of Snake magic. Sawada then found Antonio Honda and used the S Cells to turn him into Snake Antonio! Now under Sawada’s spell, Antonio has been ordered to defeat Takagi at all costs and become the 1000th champion!

Two more names have been entered into the Ganbare☆Martial Arts Open Tournament. Ganpuro regular Gorikiko enters representing Judo. Then there is the MMA competitor who is just going by the name of Shibata. Probably best not to get your hopes up thinking it is Katsuyori Shibata. I really doubt it’s him.

UNION “GOLDEN UNION IN YOKOHAMA”, 27/04/2014
Yokohama Radiant Hall

1. Idea Pocket Offer Match: Ryu Gouma & Daichi Kazato Vs Madoka & Tomoya Kawamura
2. Mio Shirai & SAGAT Vs Seiya Morohashi & Ladybeard
3. Shuji Ishikawa Vs Yumehito Imanari
4. Cherry Vs Ken Ohka
5. Isami Kodaka Vs Mitomi Masayuki
6. FUMA Vs Hikaru Sato
7. UWA World Tag Team Titles: HIROKI & Yasu Urano (c) Vs Hiroki Fukuda & MEN’s Teioh

The Idea Pocket Divas for this month are Yu Namiki & Tsubasa Amami. The winning team in the match get a double date with the Divas. Ryu Gouma is a little uncomfortable with the stipulation, believing it is a human right violation.

FUMA is looking forward to fighting Hikaru Sato. He is annoyed with Sato treating Union as a rest stop and is looking forward to beating him.

The Union Vs Ganpuro war continues with two key matches happening on this show. Cherry destroyed Ganpuro’s Gorikiko in a violent Judo Jacket Match that had to be held away from the public for safety reasons. She is pissed and wants to remind everyone that Union is more than just Shuji Ishikawa and Naomi Susan. So she steps in to challenge Ken Ohka to a match that nobody should miss. Meanwhile Shuji Ishikawa defends Union against Ohka’s second in command, Yumehito Imanari.

GANBARE☆WRESTLING “~CHAPTER 2 2ND SEASON~ VOL. 2”, 01/05/2014
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Medical Death Match: Survival Tobita Vs Dr. Kiriko
2. Revenge Of The Tiger!: Fumihito Kihara Vs Kotaro Nasu

There are currently four entries in the Ganbare☆Martial Arts Open Tournament: Ken Ohka (Wrestling), Glasses (Tae Kwon Do), Shota (American Wrestling) and Aki Shizuku (Amateur Wrestling). I think Glasses is Ladybeard’s friend who accompanied him when he fought as Richard Burn. Aki Shizuku is a joshi wrestler from REINA. She has amateur experience and was a runner up in the All Japan Student Championships.

6. KO-D Openweight Title: KUDO (c) Vs Akito

Continuing their record of most KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Title challenges, Danshoku Dino & Makoto Oishi once again get a chance to win the belts. This time they bring Yoshihiko into battle. Yoshihiko’s history with Kota Ibushi & Kenny Omega is well known but Daisuke Sasaki doesn’t have much experience fighting the infamous DDT competitor.

Sanshiro Takagi has decided to defend the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title one more time but only so he can find out more about a mysterious ancient treasure that Poison Sawada told him about. Sawada promised to help if the Iron Man Title he created is kept alive.

DDT “ALL NIGHT ENTERTAINMENT – PART 1”, 29/03/2014
Shin-Kiba 1st RING
532 Fans – Super No Vacancy Full House

0. Dark Match: Shunma Katsumata defeated Shun Miyatake with a Small Package (1:31).
1. Soma Takao defeated Gota Ihashi with a Diving Foot Stomp (5:13).
2. Konosuke Takeshita & Tetsuya Endo defeated Michael Nakazawa & DJ Nira when Takeshita pinned Nira with the Touchdown (10:27).
3. HARASHIMA & Yasu Urano defeated MIKAMI & Hoshitango when Urano pinned Hoshitango with a Backslide Pin (9:36).
4. Kikutaro defeated Guanchulo with the Shining Kikuzard (14:31).
5. Lucha Libre Rules: Kota Ibushi, Kenny Omega & Daisuke Sasaki defeated Sanshiro Takagi, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata when Sasaki pinned Hirata after the PK Mind.
*Daisuke Sasaki wins Kazuki Hirata’s Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Contract.
6. Keisuke Ishii & Shigehiro Irie defeated Antonio Honda & Tomomitsu Matsunaga when Ishii pinned Honda with the High Angle Double Arm DDT (10:40).
7. KUDO, Masa Takanashi & Yukio Sakaguchi defeated Danshoku Dino, Makoto Oishi & Akito when KUDO pinned Oishi with the Buzzsaw Kick (13:55).

After scoring the pin in the main event, KUDO called out for any of the Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Contract holders to come out and challenge him. When none of them came out he then turned his attention to his next confirmed challenger Akito and talked about their upcoming match KO-D Openweight Title match. Akito told him it was going to be a war and he is the future of DDT.

Keisuke Ishii is utterly focused on getting an All Asia Tag Team Title shot. He yelled out “Akiyama!” before he delivered an Exploder Suplex to Tomomitsu Matsunaga in their tag match. He and Shigehiro Irie also have a new double team move called the Go 2 Irie Sleep. It involves Ishii lifting up his opponent in the Go 2 Sleep position while Irie kneels down beside them. Ishii then throws the victim face first into Irie’s head. After the match Ishii showed a video of himself confronting Jun Akiyama and Yoshinobu Kanemaru demanding a title shot. Both of them rejected the challenge and walked off. The video then showed Ishii approaching Akiyama in a public toilet only for Akiyama to yell at him “I’m pissing, go away!” Back in the building Ishii said he will got to Akiyama’s dojo to ask again and he will record the meeting to show at next week’s show in Kawasaki.

With the Monster Army disbanded both Daisuke Sasaki and Antonio Honda decided it was time for a fresh start. Sasaki asked if he could team with the Golden Lovers (but not with Gota Ihashi). Both Kota Ibushi & Kenny Omega said he could but they were then interrupted by Sanshiro Takagi, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata. Takagi challenged them to a Lucha Libre 6-Man Tag match. Sasaki worked well with the Golden Lovers, he even pulled off the PK Mind with Omega to win the match. Amon Tsurumi granted the new trio a KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Title shot for the 12th April Kasukabe Hall show. Omega said he was reluctant to have Sasaki on his team instead of Ihashi but admitted they were a powerful team regardless.

Guanchulo cashed in his Right To Face Your Favourite Wrestler Contract to get a match with Kikutaro before he returns to Chile on 28th May. Kikutaro used his tricks to get Yukinori Matsui involved in the match and they proved to be the deciding factor. Afterwards Kikutaro thanked Guanchulo for choosing him to be his opponent.  Danshoku Dino announced the return of Danshoku Ranch Classic will happen on 20th May and it will be a farewell show for Guanchulo. He will also put his DDT Extreme Title on the line against Guanchulo in Kasukabe Hall on 12th April.

The DDT trainees Shunma Katsumata and Shun Miyatake pleaded with Amon Tsurumi to let them have another exhibition match. They were both unhappy that their bout at “JUDGEMENT 2014” ended in a draw. Miyatake also wants to prove he is ready to debut properly. Tsurumi allowed the match to happen with the stipulation that Miyatake will earn his debut match if he wins. Miyatake wasn’t able to capitalise on his oppotunity and lost to Katsumata in 91 seconds.

HARASHIMA and Yasu Urano will continue to team together under the name UraShima. They are willing to team with other wrestlers but have no plans to recruit a third member.

DDT held two late night shows in Shin-Kiba 1st RING. The second show was dedicated to a one night arm wrestling tournament called the GO-1 CLIMAX. The winner would get a ¥50,000 cash prize. The final turned out to be a preview for the 13th April main event as Kota Ibushi and Konosuke Takeshita took each other on, with Ibushi winning. Takeshita told Ibushi he beat his right arm but his left arm is stronger.

After losing his Right To Challenge Contract earlier in the night, Kazuki Hirata quickly replaced it with Masa Takanashi’s contract after he pinned him in a 10-Man Tag match. Hirata spent the night wearing a Magnum TOKYO mask in between his matches.

The night ended with a performance of Hulk Hogan Gymnastics by Antonio Honda.
