1. Jun Masaoka defeated Lil’ Kraken with the Ambitions (11:36).
2. Takumi Tsukamoto, Fuminori Abe & Thanomsak Toba defeated FUMA, KUBITO & Daichi Kazato when Abe submitted Kazato with the Manjigatame (11:46).
3. Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino defeated Ryota Nakatsu & SAGAT when Nakano pinned Nakatsu with a Cradle (13:02).
4. Daiki Shimomura defeated Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi with the Swanton Bomb (15:12).
5. IRON FIST Tag Titles: Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga (c) defeated Isami Kodaka & Yuko Miyamoto when Oosugi pinned Kodaka with teh Tsuki no Ishi (19:23).

Isami Kodaka blamed his team’s loss in the main event over his ring gear. His usual Yankee Two Kenju costume got damaged and when he ordered a replacement costume it came in grey when he asked for them to be black. In hindsight he realized that was a bad sign he & Yuko Miyamoto were going to lose today. Both of them felt nostalgic fighting against Speed Of Sounds again so they are happy with the match despite losing. SOS agrees and would like to fight Yankee Two Kenju again but not often. Like in 20 years time.

At the end of the show Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino came out and challenged SOS for the IRON FIST Tag Titles. SOS pointed out that Aijin Tag has never beaten them before and they’ve failed to win the IRON FIST Tag Titles from them twice, once in each of their title reigns. Nakano understands that but believes he and Kamino will win the next time. Senga appreciated their courage and accepted their challenge as long as they think they can surpass their last match. The title defence will happen on 6th September.

Daiki Shimomura has made it known he wants a shot at the Union MAX Title. He’s been in a lot of singles matches this year for BASARA and they’ve been going well for him. After beating Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi he wants to use this momentum to earn himself a title match.

Kakuta Replacing Takase At Ganpro, Takeshita 10th Anniversary Full Card

I didn’t think I would have time this week to write up a preview for “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2022”. Turns out I did after all so it will be posted in a few hours time. I was going to hold out until tomorrow morning if there are any last minute changes but I can go back and edit it if that happens. The preview should be posted in the next hour or so.

Imanari will still be in attendance to give an update. He is also expected to recover in time to wrestle on the next Ganbare☆Pro show after this, which is on 27th August.

Also four singles matches including the Yuki Arai Vs Yuki Kamifuku bout that was originally supposed to take place one year ago. That match was cancelled when Arai had a close contact situation with covid and couldn’t attend the show.

Kaya Toribami will not be on the show due to a scheduling conflict.

Yuki Kamifuku knew the day would come that Toyo Mates would challenge for the titles but didn’t expect it to be this soon. However she supports Kiryu showing more confidence in herself and will stand side by side with her against the champions.

The Exploding Death Match could be getting outshined by some of the new additions to the card. Harimao have been challenged by DISASTER BOX to defend the KO-D Tag Team Titles against them. Naomi Yoshimura made fun of Toru Owashi in response to this by saying he only has good matches once every four years. Owashi however is currently the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion and the O-40 Champion. It would make his year to win the tag titles with HARASHIMA and become a triple crown champion in DDT!

Old and new generations of BURNING are being represented in Jun Akiyama’s 30th Anniversary match. Endo is from the current version of BURNING while Yoshinobu Kanemaru comes from the original and third editions of the unit. Akiyama also gave his reasons for choosing his opponents. Yuji Nagata has been an important figure throughout Akiyama’s career, Konosuke Takeshita learned the Jumping Knee Strike from Akiyama and Katsumata reminds Akiyama so much of Kanemaru.

Jun Akiyama has also tested positive for covid. He was already taken off the shows because of his poor condition and received his positive PCR result earlier today.

Both HARASHIMA and Tetsuya Endo have tested positive for covid. They both took PCR tests earlier this week after feeling poorly and got the results came back positive. Currently neither of them can be at shows until 11th August at the earliest. Jun Akiyama is also showing fever symptoms so he is off this weekend’s shows.

Both shows this weekend are being changed a lot because of the absences. The new main event in Yokohama is Yuji Hino against Makoto Oishi. The two have a lot of history together as mentioned before.

Harimao’s match against BURNING is now cancelled but the replacement bout still has some significance. It will be the first time Naomi Yoshimura meets Toru Owashi in the ring since leaving DISASTER BOX!

Since the show is so important to Kamifuku, Yuna Manase asked to take part in it.

A press conference was held by DDT and Takeshi Masada was there to talk about his upcoming debut match. The 20 year old said he is grateful to get his first match after only three months of training. He originally applied to be part of DDTeeeen!! while he was still in university but that plan went out the window because of the pandemic. Eventually he took a leave of absence from his studies and successfully applied for DDT’s regular training system. He found out the reason he is facing HARASHIMA is because he was born in the same year HARASHIMA had his debut match. HARASHIMA gave him advice, saying that training for matches and actually wrestling in them are completely different. However he encourages Masada to do whatever he wants without hesitation.

The same press conference put the spotlight on Keisuke Okuda’s return to DDT. This is all Yoshimura’s idea because the success he and Kazusada Higuchi are currently achieving reminded him of their time in DNA with Okuda and Kota Umeda. Okuda then turned up the heat by provoking Yukio Sakaguchi. He called him a scared old man and kicked over a table. Hideki Okatani turned over another table in reaction and a brawl started between the two sides. When Sakaguchi grabbed a glass bottle and threatened Okuda with it, staff ran in to break up the fight.

The mystery masked man following Pheromones around is now being called the White Briefs Man by DDT. His identity will be unveiled at Korakuen Hall but DDT wants to figure out who it is before then. Sanshiro Takagi and Hisaya Imabayashi are holding a contest for DDT fans to guess who the White Briefs Man is. The winner who gives the correct answer will get a 10,000 yen Amazon gift voucher as their prize. The voucher was paid for with Imabayashi’s own money.

Today’s NOAH show in Korakuen Hall featured an invasion of DDT wrestlers. First, Jun Akiyama appeared at ringside to provide commentary for the Kongo Vs Sugiura-gun match. After the match Kenoh & Katsuhiko Nakajima dared Akiyama to enter the ring and confront them. He did so, revealing he was armed with the stun gun Daisuke Sasaki used to attack Kenoh with! That’s not all, as Akiyama approached the ring Tetsuya Endo, Kazusada Higuchi, Yuya Koroku & Toi Kojima appeared from the other side of Korakuen and entered the ring behind Kongo. There was a lot of threats and tough talk between the NOAH and DDT sides until they broke off from each other. Backstage Akiyama talked about how much NOAH has changed since he worked for them. Kenoh meanwhile complained about Sasaki being nowhere to be found.

The mystery wrestler in the NOAH 10-Man Tag was revealed yesterday to be Timothy Thatcher! The housewives’ favourite in Europe is now in the company.

The big combat event of the year in Japan is this month’s RIZIN Vs K-1 kickboxing bout between Tenshin Nasukawa and Takeru Segawa. The massive TV deal for the fight fell through following news articles alleging the president of RIZIN to having connections with organized crime. The planned broadcast is now going to be a PPV on ABEMA. That same day in Korakuen, DDT will be doing their own version of THE MATCH with Shinya Aoki and Hikaru Machida both involved. Toi Kojima is also taking part, continuing his fighting relationship with Aoki. Finally whenever DDT does boxing things they usually bring in Gota Ihashi to be the human punching bag. He’ll be fine.

Then today she showed up at ChocoPro to promote “SUMMER SUN PRINCESS ’22”. Suzume and Suruga agreed to team up for the show and are currently working on what name to call themselves. Too many people involved with the promotions have already shot down AppleBees as an option so don’t even think about suggesting it.

Hikaru Shida is the latest guest star added to the show. So that’s her and Riho both coming in from AEW.

Be careful what you wish for. Shuichiro Katsumura asked for a strong opponent to fight at Ota Ward Gymnasium and Minoru Suzuki answered the challenge! Suzuki didn’t waste any time in giving Katsumura a taste of what’s to come, sparking a short brawl between the two. Suzuki said this is what you get when you pick a fight with him for two reasons. One, because it sells the match and two, because Katsumura will need to use everything he knows to have a chance at beating him.

Ganbare Tamagawa (aka Batten x Burabura) will be on the show wrestling in Ganbare☆Pro for the first time in 8 and a half years. He was one of the first people to join Ganpro after it formed in 2013, first as an ally to Ken Ohka that lead to a heel turn out of bitterness for being so weak. He saw the error of his ways and turned back face but was done with the promotion after its first year. Since then he has stayed home in Fukuoka to focus on his family business while occasionally wrestling for Kyushu Pro Wrestling.

Masato Kamino challenged Ryota Nakatsu for the Union MAX Title at the next Shin-Kiba 1st RING show. Nakatsu was not here today so BASARA needs his answer before making it official.

Takumi Tsukamoto agreed to defend the CCW Canadian Heavyweight Title against Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi on 25th May.
