CyberFight Festival 2022 Announced

January 11, 2022

“CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2022”, 12/06/2022
Saitama Super Arena

Last year the CyberFight promotions all got together to put on the first “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL” supershow in Saitama Super Arena. It was such a success that they are bringing it back this year! The joint show will again be presented by DDT, NOAH, Tokyo Joshi Pro & Ganbare☆Pro. So far no decisions have been made for any championship bouts or interpromotional matches to take place on the show. Everyone is keeping an eye on what is going on within each of the groups before they will put any potential cards together.

A press conference was held today by representatives of each company to announce the show.

Sanshiro Takagi said the first “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL” got the best reaction they could get. It was a show where the distinct charms of all four companies were on display for everyone to see. So they wanted to hold it again to show the world how appealing pro wrestling is.

Naomichi Marufuji described how last year each group showed their own colours and the clash of ideologies between them was festival worthy. This year each group will get to show how much they have grown which he thinks will make the show even more exciting.

Akito hopes the festival will become established as an annual event. He wants it where wrestling fans will know that every June there will be the “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL” to look forward to. While last year’s show was built around rivalries, title bouts and offer matches Akito thinks they can do stuff this year that couldn’t be done back then.

Tetsuya Koda thinks TJPW made a strong impression towards fans of the other companies by surprising them with great matches and good wrestlers who were not well known. TJPW has gotten more new fans since then so while the situation won’t be the same this year he is sure the other fanbases will be even more excited to see TJPW again and have higher expectations.

Ken Ohka thought Ganpro could have left a mark on the first festival but he wasn’t satisfied with being stuck in the pre-show. He promises Ganpro will provide hot and soulful matches that will beat anything the other companies will put together.

A chance to reunite took place in March last year but that was just a ruse for Takao to embarrass him. He has since turned over a new leaf so it is up to HARASHIMA to trust him again.

1. Special Single Match: Saki Akai Vs Maya Yukihi
2. KO-D Openweight Title: Konosuke Takeshita (c) Vs Tetsuya Endo

At first Saki Akai welcomed Maya Yukihi to DDT on the condition that Yukihi had good intentions for coming here. Instead years of jealousy quickly emerged and reared its ugly head. Yukihi originally wanted to start her wrestling career in DDT but her attempts to join the company were rejected. So when she saw Akai do what she couldn’t it made her jealous. However Yukihi took a different route and is proud of the joshi career she has created for herself. A personal issue such as this is considered by Sanshiro Takagi to be big enough to be settled in Sumo Hall.

6. Okayama Special 6-Woman Tag Match: Nodoka Tenma, Yuki Aino & Shoko Nakajima defeated Miyu Yamashita, Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe when Tenma pinned Watanabe after the Bakuretsu Bulldog (16:46).

The Bakuretsu Sisters celebrated their return home to Okayama by teaming with Shoko Nakajima, reuniting the Tokyo Joshi Tokusatsu Club. After winning the main event, Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Aino thanked everyone for gathering together for the show today. This was going to be Tenma’s last wrestling match in Okayama but it turned out to be the best one. They then said they wanted to got out and eat mochi rice cakes to celebrate. Nakajima told Tenma that next year they should put a wrestling ring in her field and hold a match at her farm. Tenma was already eating the mochi while Nakajima was telling her this.

Mizuki & Yuki Arai stacked up their opponents one by one for Yuka Sakazaki to finish them off. Arai dropped Marika Kobashi with the Full Nelson Buster, Mizuki placed Suzume onto Kobashi and Double Stomped both of them and Sakazaki threw Arisu Endo on top with the Magical Merry-Go-Round to complete the stacking.

Another first time team advanced to the Max Heart Tournament 2nd Round. Hikari Noa & Nao Kakuta had no problem beating the animal pairing of Haruna Neko & Kaya Toribami, describing it like they just devoured a delicious meal of cat and bird. Noa & Kakuta also now have a team name. They want everybody to see their matches so their team is called Free WiFi!

6. Kobe Special 6-Woman Tag Match: Yuka Sakazaki, Mizuki & Shoko Nakajima defeated Miyu Yamashita, Maki Itoh & Yuki Kamifuku when Mizuki pinned Kamifuku with the Diving Foot Stomp (14:50).

Mizuki bounced back from her Ittenyon failure by becoming the hometown hero in Kobe and winning the main event for her team. She told the fans she felt pretty depressed after losing the Princess Of Princess Title match but getting able to wrestle in Kobe today made her feel like she blew all of her problems away. Shoko Nakajima had no problem teaming with The Magical Sugar Rabbits but they will be opponents in the Max Heart Tournament the next time they are in the ring together. Nakajima said she played with a lot of toys at the beginning of the year and she learned her tag partner Hyper Misao is an unbreakable one. Nakajima wants to be unbreakable too so Kyoraku Kyomei are aiming to go all the way. 121000000 are also aiming to win after reaching the final last year. Even though Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh already have the singles championships, they still think they have to get stronger as a tag team. Yuki Kamifuku is waiting on her drinking buddy Asuka to arrive before she plans anything for the tournament.

In terms of experience levels the Max Heart tournament already kicked off with an upset. Moka Miyamoto & Yuki Arai eliminated Pom Harajuku & Mahiro Kiryu in the opening round. The two rookies have been regular opponents against each other but joined forces to enter the tournament. It is already paying off but Arai doesn’t want to stop here. Miyamoto also wants to keep advancing but knows it will be a difficult task with Suzume & Arisu Endo as the next opponents.

1. Juria Nagano Debut Match: Juria Nagano Vs X
2. Princess Of Princess Title: Miyu Yamashita (c) Vs Shoko Nakajima

In Miyu Yamashita’s mind there is only one person she should main event Sumo Hall against TJPW’s biggest show ever. She chose Shoko Nakajima. The two are the longest serving members of the TJPW roster and both made their official pro wrestling debut at the same time. It was on 17th August, 2013 at Sumo Hall. There isn’t a match-up more fitting.

The pro wrestling debut of Juria Nagano will also be on the show. Nagano was born in Shimane on 10th February, 1996. She is 159cm tall and has a 2nd black belt in Shito-ryu Karate. She also works as an action actress as well as a nurse. Sanshiro Takagi scouted her for TJPW and she is currently deep into her preparations for her debut.

7. Princess Of Princess Title: Miyu Yamashita (c) defeated Mizuki with the Crash Rabbit Heat (19:12).
*V4 for Miyu Yamashita.

Tokyo Joshi Pro kicked off their 2022 in Korakuen Hall for their 7th annual Ittenyon show. In the main event Miyu Yamashita put the Princess Of Princess Title on the line against Mizuki. The champion went big by using an Avalanche Attitude Adjustment while Mizuki fought back with Diving Foot Stomps both in and outside the ring. The Whirling Candy was also used but Mizuki just couldn’t find the opening to win. She was able to stop the Crash Rabbit Heat from happening but Yamashita then went on the defensive and blocked the Cutie Special. Once the Skull Kick found its mark, Yamashita followed up with two Crash Rabbit Heats to win the match and remain champion.

Yamashita thanked Mizuki for the match and said she is very special for TJPW. For that reason she wants to fight her again and continue working together. Mizuki tearfully shook Yamashita’s hand and left the ring quietly with Yuka Sakazaki. Yamashita then turned her attention to “GRAND PRINCESS ’22” at Sumo Hall on 19th March. There is only one person she wants to defend the title against that day. Shoko Nakajima! She walked out and told Yamashita she’s been ready for a long time. They both had their official debut match on a DDT pre-show in Sumo Hall back in 2013 so they both grew up as wrestlers together. For them to main even the same building is a dream come true. But Nakajima will aim to go beyond the dream and become the new Princess Champion!

In a rematch from two years ago, Maki Itoh has reclaimed the International Princess Title from Hikari Noa! The match spread out of the ring a couple of times where Itoh Body Slammed Noa onto a pile of chairs and later gave her a Hangman DDT onto the floor. Noa used a rope break to escape from the Itoh Punish and hit her with the Blizzard Suplex and Super Kick. But Itoh showed her guts and stuck up the middle finger to show she wasn’t beaten yet. The two fought up to the top rope where Itoh dropped Noa with another big DDT. That was the beginning of the end and Itoh made Noa tap to the Itoh Deluxe for the title change! Now that Itoh is the IP Champion again, she wants to go back to AEW and defend it against the woman she originally lost it to… Thunder Rosa! She also wants to fight Orange Cassidy for some reason. Noa is upset over the result because she thought she was the best fit for the IP Title. She also now doesn’t have anything to protect. Once again she’s lost another partner.

The rookie of the year Yuki Arai showed off some new moves against Yuka Sakazaki including a Sharpshooter! The match was minutes away from reaching its time limit when Sakazaki caught her opponent with the Magical Merry-Go-Round to get the win. She was full of praise for Arai afterwards. “Guts, seriousness, politeness, cuteness, Yuki Arai has it all. She is a stone that will become a diamond.” While Arai appreciates the praise she gets after every match, she knows it won’t make her stronger. She wants to expand her moveset and grow even more so she won’t lose her confidence.

Nodoka Tenma took the old costume out of the closet to become Nodoka-oneesan one last time before she graduates from TJPW this March. Before the match began she reminded the audience (and Haruna Neko) to sleep well, live long and eat their vegetables before leading everyone into the Ping Pong Pang Exercise dance. Raku & Pom Harajuku were enthusiastic for it, Harajuku in particular which led to Nodoka talking to her after the match. Since Nodoka-oneesan is going away, Pom Harajuku can take her place! After all the original plan for Harajuku when she debuted was to be the new version of that gimmick but she ended up turning into something of her own creation. Harajuku turned her offer down because she’s having too much fun as a “3 year old”, leaving Nodoka to cry next to Yuki Aino backstage. Marika Kobashi cheered her up by saying she could sense Tenma’s pride as Nodoka-oneesan shine through.

The team of Yuki Kamifuku & Nao Kakuta walked down to the ring wearing Uma Musume inspired shirts and headgear. They called their tag team Uma x3 (pronounced “Uma baba”). There was no horseplay against Daydream when the bell rang though. Kamifuku hit a Double Famouser to Daydream but they recovered. Rika Tatsumi got rid of Kakuta while Miu Watanabe stood toe to toe with Kamifuku. Another Famouser was avoided this time and Watanabe pinned Kamifuku with the Tear Drop. Tatsumi described the match as a nightmare where they had to fight a horse racing tag team. She thinks the fans saw it as a good daydream though.

For the third year in a row Shoko Nakajima and Hyper Misao faced off in a wacky stipulation match where their entire identities were put on the line. This time a stuffed Tiger Cub toy was held above the ring and the first woman to climb the ladder and grab it would win. Nakajima emptied a box of Godzilla toys all over the ring while Misao emptied a box of gacha balls making every bump in the ring even more dangerous. The end came when Nakajima hit a 619, Double Arm DDT and then the Diving Senton from the ladder. She then climbed back up to grab the Tiger Cub and win. The stipulation allowed Nakajima to rename Misao for a month but she declined to do so. The Max Heart Tournament is beginning later this week and Kyoraku Kyomei are entering it together. She thinks giving Misao a new temporary gimmick would only get in the way because both of them want to win the tournament.

On this day one year ago Arisu Endo had her debut match. Today she picked up her first win! Endo and Moka Miyamoto were the focus for the final few minutes of the opener. Endo hit Miyamoto with the Tsuruma Castle Knee Drop and then a Waterwheel Drop. She finished her off with a Modified Camel Clutch to get her 2022 off to a fantastic start. Suzume was Endo’s opponent for her debut and was happy to be her tag partner for her first win. She weirdly feels proud like a parent. Mahiro Kiryu was disappointed not to win her first match of the year while Miyamoto swore revenge on Endo for losing to her this way.

The newest addition to the TJPW introduced herself at the start of the show. Juria Nagano is a former world champion karate fighter with a 2nd black belt in Shito-ryu. She is currently active as both an actress and a nurse and has also gotten viral on TikTok. Nagano announced she will have her debut pro wrestling match at Sumo Hall on 19th March. She said she would like to make full use of her skills to liven up TJPW.

GAKE NO FUCHI JOSHI PRO “CLOCKWORK GAKE NO FUCHI 2022 ~GAKE NO FUCHI VS PROMINENCE~”, 04/01/2021
Shinjuku FACE

1. Hardcore Match: Chris Brookes Vs Suzu Suzuki
2. Special Tag Match: Sanshiro Takagi & SenoSister Mao Inoue Vs Mochi Miyagi & Akane Fujita
3. Special Single Match ~ Gake no Fuchi Rules: Miyako Matsumoto Vs Risa Sera
4. Gake no Fuchi Vs Prominence Full Scale Battle! No DQ 8-Man Tag Match: Miyako Matsumoto, Sanshiro Takagi, Chris Brookes & (w/ Ippanjin Munenori Sawa) Vs Risa Sera, Mochi Miyagi, Akane Fujita & Suzu Suzuki (w/ Hiragi Kurumi)

This is the first challenge for Prominence since their inception. Risa Sera is close with Miyako Matsumoto and Miyamoto was even considered to be recruited for Prominence during its inception. However Matsumoto turned down the invitation out of loyalty to Gake no Fuchi, CyberFight and Sanshiro Takagi. It must be noted that Matsumoto is NOT a CyberFight employee.

When Suzu Suzuki originally debuted, people kept saying she reminded them of Matsumoto. She felt insulted by that and after holding in her feelings for so long, she will take her anger about it out on Chris Brookes. She isn’t sure how to deal with the height difference but thinks if she can beat a big man with big moves then she cane become a big woman in the ring.

Mochi Miyagi thought she would be taking on the Mao from SenoSister and was looking forward to it. Then she found out it is actually the wrestler MAO and she now wants a explanation. On the bright side she is looking forward to fighting Takagi and making him scream squeal. She isn’t the only person targeting Takagi.

Akane Fujita has accused Shunma Katsumata of stealing all of her ideas for death match weapons. She has proof of using block toys and acupuncture mats as weapons in her own matches before Katsumata used them in DDT. She isn’t facing Katsumata on this show so she will target Takagi instead because he is the DDT president.

Last but not least, Hiragi Kurumi admits she doesn’t know what she is going to do at the show. She isn’t able to wrestle at the moment so she is only advertised to accompany the rest of Prominence for the main event. She knows Munenori Sawa is doing the same so she guesses she will have to deal with him one way or another.
