Asian Kung Fu Revolution came up with a movie theme for their produce show called “GAME OF BASARA”. For the evening Daichi Kazato turned into Kazat=Lee and teamed with the rest of the unit to battle space monsters and past versions of themselves played by the BASARA roster. There was even a revival of the Ultimate Superstars Action brand with a new American wrestler named Block Lesnar (Masato Kamino) coming in for a match. SAGAT in particular was busy today. He played the roles of Previous Life Hiroshi, Dildo Love and Uchu Kyoryu Zetton throughout the show.

FUMA & Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi challenged Speed Of Sounds to an IRON FIST Tag Titles match on 21st June.

Even though Ryota Nakatsu defeated Masato Kamino, he called him a future Union MAX Champion after the main event. However when he tried asking him about how much he likes BASARA, Kamino instead said he is thinking about going to GLEAT more often. Then Isami Kodaka came out and said he is the only person left who can beat Nakatsu for the MAX Title. He challenged him to a title match on 21st June.

Takumi Tsukamoto revealed his motivation for defending the CCW Canadian Heavyweight Title. When he was in elementary school he once had a substitute teacher who was from Ottawa. Tsukamoto wants to hold onto the CCW Canadian Title until he reunites with this substitute teacher. His title defence today against Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi was also his most difficult challenge yet. Both of them fought wearing karate gear and Hiroshi was the most serious he’s been in years. Tsukamoto was able to counter a Triangle Choke into a Crab Hold to get the win.

The Dreams Surrounding The Championships, Unbreakable Rhio Coming To TJPW

So how about Konosuke Takeshita and Maki Itoh on AEW Dynamite last night? Not bad, eh? Takeshita faced Hangman Page in a non-title barnburner of a match while Itoh was the “Joker” entry in the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament fighting against a previous ally Britt Baker. Both lost their matches unfortunately but their positions on the show was a great sign of the relationship between DDT/TJPW and AEW.

A press conference was held today featuring CDK, MAO and Asuka to promote both of their upcoming title matches. First up is the KO-D Tag Team Titles match involving all four wrestlers. Asuka thinks she and MAO have a deeper bond together than CDK does. She thinks their high flying skills will fuse together and she is looking forward to becoming the first female KO-D Tag Champion. MAO describes his team with Asuka is a challenging adventure and he wants to help her achieve her goal because as a former tag champion he has a special attachment for those belts.

Masahiro Takanashi appreciates the gesture because he once teamed with Emi Sakura for a KO-D Tag Title match. However he thinks the title are still better off belonging to CDK. Chris Brookes had just watched Takeshita on AEW so he is currently feeling emotional. This show might be the first DDT show AEW fans will watch so Brookes feels the pressure. However he is confident the other three wrestlers will show these fans how great DDT is.

The obscure CCW Canadian Heavyweight Title is being defended again. Takumi Tsukamoto was just about the better man against Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi in the Elimination tag match but now Hiroshi has a score to settle with him over it.

“The Unbreakable” Rhio makes her Tokyo Joshi Pro debut on this show against Yuki Aino. She will also be wrestling on the 4th June show. Rhio is from Lancashire, England and is coming over as part of the relationship between TJPW and Pro Wrestling: EVE. She is 25 years old, 163cm tall and weighs 70kg. The 25 year old has been wrestling for 7 years and also has a background in Karate and Taekwondo.

The press conference continued with MAO and Takanashi talking about the DDT Universal Title match. This will be Takanashi’s first singles championship match since the Union MAX Title defence in February 2020 when he got injured. Since coming back he wrestled the new generation of DDT wrestlers. He wants to win the Universal Title so he can defend it against those same wrestlers as well as the younger members of the BASARA roster. He also mentioned Kazusada Higuchi and Kota Umeda as potential opponents. There is also one more wrestler he would really want to defend the Universal Title against but he won’t say who it is.

MAO’s history of matches against Takanashi were mostly in NωA Vs Shuten-dōji 6-Man Tags. The fact that he and Takanashi are about to headline Korakuen Hall is like a tribute for wrestlers like KUDO and Makoto Oishi. MAO has his own dream opponent for a title defence. He definitely wants to defend the Universal Title against Mike Bailey!

It’s now five Union Max Title defences for Ryota Nakatsu, tying the amount from his first reign. He is proud of how passionate Daiki Shimomura fought but told him he should not be satisfied over it. Nakatsu is old and Shimomura are young but they both have a lot of energy so they will continue doing their best for BASARA! No new challenger came out but instead the president of GRACE GROUP asked him for three favours. First, he wants to host a Grace Project show on 5th June built around BASARA taking on a group of wrestlers representing the Grace Family. Nakatsu agreed to it.

The president brought out Kamui and Kenya Maeda. They said the entire Grace Family has already been chosen. They are Kamui, Katsumi Oribe, Kota Umeda, Tomoya Hirata, Daisuke Masaoka and Takashi Sasaki! Nakatsu accepted the challenge and talked with the president over who should be on BASARA’s team. They decided on Nakatsu, Shimomura, Takato Nakano, Masato Kamino, Isami Kodaka and maybe they will offer the last spot to SAGAT. Maeda then introduced himself as Tatsuhito Takaiwa’s number one disciple and kept repeating himself when Kodaka acted like he wasn’t paying attention. They agreed to a singles match against each other at a Grace Project show taking place in two days time. That was the president’s second request. The third and final request was allowing them to sell tickets to the show at the concession area after the show.

Before the 6-Man Tag Match began, Gouma warned the Asian Kung Fu Revolution that someone on their team was going to betray them. Daichi Kazato immediately said it wasn’t him over and over. However Gouma kept getting in the way of his own teammates until he got into a fight with Takumi Tsukamoto, causing a full scale brawl to start and the match to end in a Double DQ. FUMA then revealed Gouma was the traitor all along and he is the newest member of Asian Kung Fu Revolution! The match restarted and this time Gouma kept messing up and hitting his new teammates. They turned on him causing the other team to come to his aid. However this was another trick and Gouma hugged Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi as another sign of betrayal. Gouma then gave Tsukamoto the Jumping Neckbreaker Drop and Hiroshi pinned him with the Tani Otoshi. The two teams continued brawling after the match and all fought their way backstage.

5. Union MAX Title: Ryota Nakatsu (c) defeated Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi with the V Slider (18:21).

The long delayed Union MAX Title match between Ryota Nakatsu and Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi finally took place. Nakatsu had a visual pin on Hiroshi with the V Slider but the referee Yuya Okada was knocked out earlier and couldn’t count it. Hiroshi did his best to fight back but Nakatsu hit another V Slider and this time Okada was there to count the pin. Hiroshi admitted he was overconfident but Nakatsu called him the best genius in BASARA.

Suddenly, FUMA ran in and gave Nakatsu a judo throw. He then revealed something he kept secret from everyone all this time. The leader of Asian Kung Fu Revolution is not a Chinese kung fu master! He is in fact Japanese and spent 6 years in a judo club during junior high and high school. Watching the title match made his heart go wild so he wants to challenge Nakatsu for the MAX Title. Nakatsu accepted the challenge but was in for a surprise. For you see, FUMA actually does know kung fu. He just lied to trick Nakatsu into giving him a title shot. FUMA promised he will use the 4,000 years of Chinese history found in his kung fu techniques to beat Nakatsu!

Yusuke Kubo kept yelling at Chicharito Shoki to go back to Chiba while they were fighting. Shoki refused because he wanted to wrestle in front of all the fans in Shin-Kiba 1st RING.

A dangerous request was put in HARUKAZE for Ganbare☆Pro’s return to Korakuen Hall. She demanded a Hardcore Match and threw the challenge out to both Shunma Katsumata and Akane Fujita! Those two already have tension between them over accusations of weapon plagiarism but they have to team together for this match. HARUKAZE found Mizuki Watase to be her partner and make the match an intergender tag.

There has been little follow up to the rumours of CyberFight wanting to sign Maya Yukihi to a contract. She has her story with Saki Akai in DDT going on until March so once that finishes up we may find out what she wants to do next. But before that, she will show up in Ganpro again for a tag match highlighting the Ganbare☆Joshi division.

Seeing Ken Ohka positioned this low on a major Ganpro card is weird. I welcome it because the rest of the group has stepped up over the last two years but it’s still weird.

The next KO-D Openweight Title defence will be held at DDT’s next big show after their 25th Anniversary celebration. Either Konosuke Takeshita or Tetsuya Endo will defend the title at the Yokohama Budokan against an opponent to be determined.

Also on the show will be the return of Hikaru Sato to DDT for the first time since 2019. Sato was a DDT mainstay from 2008 to 2014 and even held the KO-D Title one time. He makes some one-off appearances here and there but those times were for spin-off shows or special occasions.

A press conference was held today to promote the DDT Universal Title match. Minoru Fujita said he has completely dominated the prelim matches against Daisuke Sasaki so all he has to do now is win the title match. If he does that then it will pave the way for his Fujita Pro Wrestling School to invade DDT and form a spinoff unit in the company. Sasaki (who was drinking) accused Fujita of lying about his poor health to throw him off guard. He then got mad when his mentor Dick Togo was brought up. Things calmed down and the two shook hands until Fujita kicked Sasaki in the groin. Sasaki wanted to get some kind of heat back so he gave Hisaya Imabayashi a Low Blow just because.

LiLiCo sent in a video message saying she will be at this show. There is something she wants to tell everyone but is keeping it secret until then. The celebrity wrestled for DDT several times from 2014 to 2018 and even held a few championships during her time here.

In Miyu Yamashita’s mind there is only one person she should main event Sumo Hall against TJPW’s biggest show ever. She chose Shoko Nakajima. The two are the longest serving members of the TJPW roster and both made their official pro wrestling debut at the same time. It was on 17th August, 2013 at Sumo Hall. There isn’t a match-up more fitting.

The pro wrestling debut of Juria Nagano will also be on the show. Nagano was born in Shimane on 10th February, 1996. She is 159cm tall and has a 2nd black belt in Shito-ryu Karate. She also works as an action actress as well as a nurse. Sanshiro Takagi scouted her for TJPW and she is currently deep into her preparations for her debut.
