The BOYZ roster was split into two teams for a show long contest where the audience were challenged to predict the results. In the end the Red Team defeated the Blue Team 3-2. Akito complained about the result after the main event and got into an argument with Nobuhiro Shimatani over it. Johnny Etajima got them to settle down. He announced the next BOYZ show will be held on 30th October and will be a Hallowe’en special.

The theme of this BOYZ show was Kabukicho host clubs. All of the wrestlers except for DAMNATION appeared dressed as club hosts and carrying roses. Yukio Sakaguchi was furious when he found out Hirata Collection A.T. was wearing the same outfit as him. He threw his rose at Hirata and then stormed off, never to be seen on the show again. Hirata had to wrestle Konosuke Takeshita & Nobuhiro Shimatani two against one until somebody unexpected came to the rescue. It was Hirata’s senior from high school, Yukio Collection A.T.! Together they defeated their opponents and celebrated with a model walk.

Mizuki Watase did not have enough time to return to the locker room after the opening ceremony so he stayed in the ring to change into his wrestling gear for the first match.

Keisuke Ishii has been going through a slump ever since he lost the AJPW Jr. Title. He figured out that in order to solve his problem, he should look back to his origin. He should go back to 2007 when he was a trainee in the All Japan dojo. Ishii has asked Kaz Hayashi, who was an attendant of the dojo at the time, to come help him out. Hayashi remembers Ishii from the dojo. So many new recruits sign up and quit over the years that it is easy to lose track but Hayashi said he has an intense memory of the day Ishii quit. Normally when trainees quit the dojo they escape during the middle of the night without telling anybody. But Ishii simply apologised to his trainers, told them he was quitting and left. Ishii remembered an exercise where the trainees had to run behind a Porsche car for 25km. When it was Ishii’s turn to drive the Porsche he was so nervous of causing an accident that he stepped on the brakes a lot. Hayashi doesn’t remember this story but joked that the Porsche does have a scratch on it. He is happy to answer Ishii’s request for help.

Sanshiro Takagi & Ken Ohka Vs Danshoku Dino & Super Sasadango Machine was originally supposed to be a part of this show. Ohka feels indebted to Takagi, Dino and Sasadango for his career and hopes to repay them. Dino & Sasadango both found his comments funny and they wondered why Ohka was going to help Takagi beat them. They called him a slave and said Atsushi Onita would cry if he found out what Ohka was doing. They riled up Ohka so much that he demanded to switch sides so all three of them could beat Takagi 3 on 1. Amon Tusurmi obliged for some reason.

Danny Duggan is coming over from Canadian Wrestling’s Elite. He will be wrestling at Ganbare☆Wrestling the day before too.

The splintered friendship between Shigehiro Irie and Soma Takao had not quite healed yet. Irie pinned Takao to keep the KO-D Tag Team Titles with Kazusada Higuchi. Irie offered to shake Takao’s hand after the match. Takao declined, said “Another time” and left with HARASHIMA. When they were gone, Yukio Sakaguchi & Masahiro Takanashi appeared. They congratulated YaroZ for a successful defence then said they will be challenging them after they win the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles from NωA. The GM Amon Tsurumi reminded Shuten-dōji that NωA beat them today. Takanashi called that a miracle that won’t happen again. Sakaguchi asked if YaroZ are prepared to kill him in order to win. Higuchi said he’s been ready for a long time.

The show was a homecoming for a few wrestlers on the roster. MAO is from Osaki which is near Miyagi. He was given a 30kg bag of rice, the kind of rice used to brew the local sake, by the mayor of Osaki before the semi-main event. MAO went on to win the match for NωA.

For the second time, Daisuke Sasaki handed Akito his DDT Extreme Title belt after their match. But this time Sasaki acted like Akito stole it from him. Sasaki called Akito a thief and made Amon Tsurumi retrieve the belt and give it back to him. When ALL OUT left, Sasaki changed the subject to Tetusya Endo coming home to Miyagi. Endo admitted he doesn’t remember anything about the place. Sasaki slapped him and then Endo said he remembered everything! He remembers the hot noodles, the village foxes and that his home town Shiroishi is just an hour and a half car ride away from here. Sasaki didn’t understand what he is talking about.

Danshoku Dino used a new version of the Danshoku Nightmare called the Danshoku Nightmare VR. The move involves Dino’s opponent being laid onto the bottom rope, then Dino stands on their arms and squats onto their face with the ropes suspending him. Mike Bailey was the first victim of the move and was rendered powerless.

A pre-show fan club event was interrupted by Naomi Yoshimura. Guess what? He had yet another story about Konosuke Takeshita ruining his life. This time it was about Yoshimura’s favourite high school teacher, the only one who card for him, was suddenly fired one day. He was fired because he was caught peeping into the girls changing rooms. Who was it that caught him? Why it was Takeshita of course!

Naomi Yoshimura interrupted an autograph session held by ALL OUT after the show. He continues to tell everyone his tragic backstory and why all of it is Konosuke Takeshita’s fault. Today’s new addition to the story is he lost all of his friends at school because they wanted to hang out with Takeshita instead. He left after saying he will cash in his Right To Challenge contract when the time is right to make it devastating. Takeshita was surprised that Yoshimura came all the way to Aomori just to tell him that.

As happy as HARASHIMA is to win with Soma Takao, he knows that they weren’t fighting the strongest team today. No offense to Mizuki Watase but he is no Kazusada Higuchi.

Akito teased Endo by revealing how much time he spends training and preparing his meals. Endo denies this and tried to convince everyone he is a lazy jerk who only eats Cup Noodles.

7. King Of DDT 2017 – Round 2: Shigehiro Irie defeated Keisuke Ishii with the Beast Bomber (14:32).

A clash between former Team Drift friends headlined the King Of DDT 2nd Round. Shigehiro Irie went over Keisuke Ishii with two Beast Bombers and he survived the Kneel Kick along the way. Ishii wanted to shake Irie’s hand after the match but he got a hug instead.

HARASHIMA outwrestled Yukio Sakagachi to advance to the semi-finals. Sakaguchi cut off the Somato with a Jumping Middle Kick then applied a Sleeper Hold. HARASHIMA fought out of it and locked in a Cross Armbreaker. He changed it into a Modified Sleeper Hold and kept it tight until Sakaguchi lost consciousness. When he came to, Sakaguchi accepted the result and shook HARASHIMA’s hand.

Tetsuya In The Sky With Diamonds continues to give Tetsuya Endo victories, this time putting away KUDO. The big turn in momentum came when KUDO aimed to hit the Diving Double Knee Drop to Endo on the apron but Endo moved. KUDO kicked out of the Swan Dive Firebird Splash but Endo’s new finisher knocked him out of the tournament.

Masahiro Takanashi disguised himself in normal clothes and ambushed Akito from the crowd. When the plan didn’t beat Akito immediately, Takanashi panicked because he exhausted all of his tactics for the match! He thought on the fly and gave Akito a Low Blow followed by a roll up. However Diego was there to tell the ref that Takanashi was cheating. Akito regained positioning and trapped Takanashi in the Scorpion Lock to tap him out.

A draw was held at the end of the show to determine the semi-finals. Akito and Tetsuya Endo drew each other while HARASHIMA got Shigehiro Irie. The semi-finals and final takes place in Korakuen Hall on 25th June.

Konosuke Takeshita no longer has his backup plan. Mike Bailey pinned the KO-D Openweight Champion in a tag match to win his Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Contract. Bailey recovered from a Dragon Suplex to catch Takeshita with a Moonsault Power Slam for the three count. Bailey asked Amon Tsurumi when the next KO-D Title match was scheduled. He was told 2nd July at Shinjuku Village Studio C 106. Bailey said he will defend the contract until that date so he can be the challenger.

Takeshita’s threats for the title didn’t end there. Naomi Yoshimura entered the ring to confront him again. He told the audience the same stories he told Takeshita a few days ago. His family fell apart, he was told to quit school by his teacher and now it turns out a girl named Mari-chan he had a crush on in school turned him down for someone else. Yoshimura blames Takeshita for breaking his family apart and stealing his first love so Yoshimura will cash in his Right To Challenge Contract when the time is right to make it memorable.
